TenJi Hibachi Express

Came here with my family last Wednesday and our server, Mykel, made our experience! She was so sweet and helpful when we weren’t sure what to get and wonderful to talk to. She made our night!

Today my husband, two friends, and I visited the restaurant. Overall, the food was decent, though a few items weren’t quite to our taste. The calamari was okay, but a bit too greasy and tougher than we prefer. I ordered sushi and would rate it about a 6 out of 10. I tried the shrimp tempura roll, the spicy shrimp roll, and another roll with shrimp and mango, can’t remember the name, but that one ended up being my favorite, followed by the shrimp tempura roll. Our friends ordered hibachi and said it was pretty good, with generous portions that they really enjoyed. But the absolute highlight of our visit wasn’t the food, it was Mykel. What an exceptional young woman. She is sweet, hardworking, focused, and genuinely friendly. Her professionalism and work ethic absolutely blew me away. It’s rare to see someone so young carry themselves with that level of dedication and pride in their work. Truly impressive. I sincerely hope the owners and management recognize the gem they have in Mykel. If only she could be cloned, every workplace would be better for it. She made our experience memorable, and honestly, we’ll be returning largely because of the outstanding service she provided. Loved her energy and commitment

Food is good, service is fast. My only gripe is that they don't have regular soy sauce, only the green bottle low sodium stuff which tastes off to me.

I went to Tenji Hibachi Express the other day, and Mykel made my visit amazing! She was so sweet, upbeat, and really took the time to help me pick the perfect meal. You can tell she genuinely cares about making customers happy. Thanks, Mykel — you turned dinner into a whole vibe! 🍣🔥

I came here for the first time yesterday and i can’t wait to come back again!! Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere is 10/10. Mykel was the one whom helped us and she was above and beyond. She made our experience here so much better. If you go get the steak hibachi it’s so good ;)

This place was surprisingly nice. The ambiance was chill and comfortable. If you ever want a place you can grab some food, maybe relax with your friends, this place is a nice spot to go. I have always wanted to visit but was hesitant because of all the negative reviews. Despite all the negative reviews I read, I decided to visit and I'm glad I did.. The young lady at the register was super sweet. I was greeted and comfortable. I ordered the steak hibachi lunch special and was pleased with the flavor and the large food portion. My lunch was GREAT! The only thing that was missing was music to compliment the ambiance. will definitely visit again soon.

When we asked the girl that took our order if it’s always this hot inside the place. She answered “yes, but I think the AC may be broken”. She was not rude but not friendly either when taking our order and addressing our concerns. Food was just ok. Protein was overcooked. Rice and noodles were bland. She forgot to offer us our soup or salad upon ordering. I was surprised that they only give you one 2oz. cup of yum yum sauce per order and extra was .50 per. IMO, If your food is going to be that tasteless, you should offer yum yum by the gallon. We’ve eaten here several times before and had no reason to complain. But now the place is showing all the signs of a restaurant going belly up. Too bad.

We will not be dining in here again. Its very hot inside. They were not very personable. No greeting, no hello. Very rude. It has an odor. But that may because it is so hot inside. Food is usually good. Tonight the chicken was overcooked and rice and veggies were a little bland..Dining experience, horrible! There was no one in here eating.

Update... wow... your price have gone up and your portions have gone down. Trying to charge for a cup of common hot sauce... thats like McDonald's charging for mustard packages. Front staff is hard to understand/ does not communicate well. Last time coming here. The dining area is neat and clean. Staff is not overly friendly but not rude just kind of there. The food was very good and the portions were very nice. It's a bit on the pricey side for a place that mostly does to go orders. It's not my go-to place for that reason, but if you have a craving for hibachi, they get the job done.

Never ordering over the phone again. I paid $20.12 for a hibachi dinner online if u order it states u get two side here u clearly see just rice u can choose soup an I received salad . Steak has no flavor overly cooked . Not coming again 30 min drive for nothing don’t do it

Update... wow... your price have gone up and your portions have gone down. Trying to charge for a cup of common hot sauce... thats like McDonald's charging for mustard packages. Front staff is hard to understand/ does not communicate well. Last time coming here. The dining area is neat and clean. Staff is not overly friendly but not rude just kind of there.
