Showed up, on accident, on a Harry Potter themed night and dressed up death eaters greeted us at the door… whoever owned/decorated this place was probably involved in the Star Wars ride at Hollywood studios…. Really cool decor and vibe that makes you feel like you’re at a theme park, without paying to enter…. Martian munchies were amazing and so was the the fried chicken, yum yum, and Mojo!! Cool vibe but expect to pay $10 for parking at the old cinema to parking garage or $20 for valet outside!!
Amazing bao buns! Great selection and very fresh. We dined in around 4pm and our food was made to order. Can’t wait to come back to try more of their amazing food. Also wha an awesome venue. The decor is cool, Harry Potter music was playing and it reminds me of Star Wars. 100% recommend.
Bruhhh!! What is this place? An abandoned alien space station on church street tucked in the bottom of an apartment complex? .. YUP 🤣 Anyway, the food was gud good GOOD. Fresh, good portion and came out quick, walked in at like 10:30 on a Sunday and still everything was perfect. The mojo bao was soo tender and full of flavor and the rice bowl was just as awesome. Will try again next time I get in that area.
This place was so very enjoyable! The staff were pleasant, accommodating, and made us feel like VIP guests. We had a large group and they attended to us with ease. The food was delicious affordable, and well portioned. I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area as it’s a unique, aesthetically appealing, and great location!
Got an order of their bao buns and chicken wings. Really delicious, everything tasted fresh and flavorful. It’s easy to order food here and the dishes come out pretty quick.
The staff are awesome that serve you and the food is delicious. The suggestions that the server offered were on point. I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to have really decent and really good food.
Holy crap we were out late and looking for something to eat on a Wednesday and never did we think where we would end up would be the coolest damn place ever. I saw open till 3am. That was enough for me. We arrived and this place had a decent crowd, tonight ended up being a "dirty bingo" host of bingos name was Kevin I think. My god was everyone was so funny. So energetic. The energy in this room was great. I just wanted some Bao and I left with so much more. Both people at the counter were so sweet and helpful in helping us decide what to order. Our food came out pretty quickly. We even requested if we could get the dessert slightly later than everything else and it was no problem at all! Bingo went on till midnight. So much fun. My friend even won a free shot for winning a game. 10/10 this place was cool as hell. Absolutely come here for game night. It was the place to be. We were in tears from laughing with how wild some people got.
The bao buns are absolutely delicious—soft, fluffy, and filled with flavorful ingredients that melt in your mouth. The boba tea is equally impressive, and a variety of flavors and allergy friendly milks to choose from. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are friendly, making the experience even better. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed meal, this place is a must-visit. Five stars for amazing food, great service, and a delightful experience!
Space Burgers!! This place is so awesome. As soon as i walked in i could feel the vibes. From the absolutely perfect background music to the interior design, it was such a great experience. I highly recommend the philly sandwich and the meteor bites! I will be bringing the wife next time.
I play music right outside Bao once a month and I always look forward to stopping in and grabbing a bite. The atmosphere is fantastic and the owner has become a good friend. It's absolutely worth your time to stop in!
I just so happen to come across The Bao Spot while late night scrolling insta reels. Immediately knew I wanted to try it so we went next day for lunch. The atmosphere is really cool and unique the music was awesome and they were playing straight bangers. The bao were fantastic and fresh! We had the soft shell crab, mojo, fried chicken and pork belly and wowowowow! We also got the brussel sprouts and paired with its dipping sauce was straight fire. The service was fantastic. Each person we talked to were very friendly and helpful! 10/10 recommend and will officially be making this a permanent eat each time we are in Orlando. Ps. The Lofi Kingdom Hearts song that was playing really spoke to my childhood heart 🥹
This place was absolutely amazing! The chefs, the food, the atmosphere, the boba... Just everything was top tier. We had an Uber just decline to give us a ride so we were just wandering around the area, and this place looked interesting. So glad we didn't sleep on it. We got nachos, a burger, a couple of baos, a couple of churros, and a couple of boba, and everything was 10/10. Can't recommend enough!
Super cool spot with unique spaceship decor, very James Cameron's Aliens. Food was great, just wish I had taken pictures before we devoured it.
What a fun and kitsch place! Sweet and attentive staff, wide variety of food choices, and steampunk artistic decor. And they're open super late!
The food, the ambiance, the FOOOOOD!!!!! Delicious!!!!! I love Asian food but this is hands down the BEST my partner and I have ever had!!! The food was flavorful and delicious, the boba was delicious, the food came out fast, the inside is super cute and intimate, the owner was super cool and humble!! & again did I mention? THE FOOOOODDDDD!!!!!! Yall I promise it’s hands down amazing!
This is a hidden gem tucked away on Church street. The food is so filling and fresh and the service is quick. I loved the Yum Yum , Space Kalbi, The Rebel and Astro Pigs baos. Also cheeseburger space burger was good and is such an interesting concept I’ve never seen before. I got a Thai tea and appreciate they give an option for 50% less sugar. They have karaoke from 10pm to 2am every Friday and Saturday night. The vibe is cool with a space theme and they have a dragon that emits fog. I’ll definitely be back.
The Bao Spot got quite busy around lunch time. Galaxy spaceship indoor type vibe. Lunch specials was a great deal of 2 baos, fries and a drink for $13+. The brussels sprouts were very delicious minus the bacon. The Baos are good, soft and flavorful but they lack on the temperature of the food. It came out warm. Parking here is horrible.
Came here with my 2 year old today and it was absolutely amazing!!! Great amount of options for everyone even picky eaters like my 2 year old. Good French fries. Workers are very friendly! Nicely decorated. The Big Bang Bao was so good!!!! And the fried cheesecake with ice-cream to top it off was the perfect touch. Will Return!!!!!!!
This was our first time trying and it was delicious! We order the fried gyoza, The Big Bang, the “fried chicken”, and the supernova bowl! We also got a rose and peach boba. Danny was absolutely awesome and had our food out right away. Presentation was 100% amazing and when we come back to Orlando, we are for sure hitting up this spot!
Best baos I’ve had hands down ! My fav are The mojo & Birria another one I like is the fried chicken one. If you like sweets at the end of your meal like me both the churros & fried cheesecake are delicious. I really love this place it give theme park vibes !! My next time I need to try the Boba I will be back very soon .
My family and I visited before a show at the nearby Dr.philips center. We were not disappointed. We ordered apps, entrees, deserts the whole nine. Everything was delicious, the service was fast and friendly. The bao were super soft and came in all sorts of flavors, the nachos were made with triangle shaped freshly fried wonton which made them super crispy and light. I tried a space burger, and I think that would be my only complaint, I'm not a fan of hot lettuce on my sandwich, but it was not enough to ruin the experience. My wife ordered a matcha boba and she loved it. Dessert was phenomenal we ordered one of everything and nothing survived.
Amazing service!! Came with my best friend for the 407 day special which was one bao bun and a boba drink for $4.07! The cashier was extremely sweet and the cooks as well. The food came out super quick and was so delicious. Definitely try the Astro Pig bao bun, I also had the Obi Wan Henobi burger and the way they make it is so interesting but it was delicious!! The passion fruit boba was absolutely delicious! And we did have the Nutella churros that were to die for, so freakin good!! Will definitely come again :D I only took a pic of the churros but trust everything was good!
Great food, cooked fresh! The spacecantina theming makes for a fun atmosphere, too. I had a delicious burger, my friend had baos and fries. We chose to wait out a rain storm with desserts after, and they were yummy, too. Service was excellent, and the owner came to chat with us about the menu and made recommendations. We left with full and happy tummies and will definitely be back.
Spectacular atmosphere with immersive theming. Offering dine-in, to-go, as well as an outdoor takeaway window. Tucked in the corner on Church St this newly opened restaurant is definitely worth the visit. Walking distance from Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center, the arena, the stadium… if it’s in DTO this location is within convenient walking distance. Highly recommend the taro boba and literally any of the bao buns.
This spot hits EVERY TIME. Food is fresh at all times with little to no wait time with a dope atmosphere. Devante is professional with his work and definitely appreciates his love for the game and customers. 10/10 fried chicken bao and burgers. You won’t be disappointed!
I had a phenomenal experience at the Bao Spot. Before researching about the restaurant, I thought it was a regular place in town for bao. I was met with a vivid galactic theme when I first came through the door. The menu is very space-inspired, and the food matches the theme well. I ordered the burger of the month which was a Korean-inspired burger, brussels sprouts, Space Kalbi, and the soft-shell crab bao. The Bao Spot was quite busy on a weekday, so I took takeout. The Boba taro tea I ordered was made well. I didn't know that it came with its own topping, and I ended up getting too much. The brussels sprouts were crispy and the mayo sauce that came with it complimented the dish well. The burger was my favorite by far. The sweet, tangy BBQ sauce complimented the well-seasoned burger. It was pretty juicy. Both bao came with fresh garnishes that enhanced the flavors of the protein it went with. The Space Kalbi I ordered was quite burnt and my least favorite out of the whole order. Overall, I liked the Bao Spot and would recommend it, especially for late-night eats, since the closing times are pretty late.
We get this spot RELIGIOUSLY! Devonte, a supervisor is the absolute best. He heard we were regular customers, and went out of his way to ask some great questions to get to know us, and make us feel more than welcome! His dedication to customer experience, and retention needs to be appreciated! Thank you, Devonte for making our night! The food is always amazing, and every time we are there the vibes are just right. Can’t wait to keep coming back to our favorite spot!
What I ordered: chefs special (buffalo chicken at the time), the big bang (shrimp), the rebel (soft shell crab). Every single one tasted amazing! The concept is chill and the ambiance inside is pretty mysterious like you could be walking around a spaceship or something similar in outside. You walk in and order off the kiosk screens. The staff was very nice and provided help if needed. They deliver your order to your table as they become ready and they even walk around cleaning up and checking on you. This was nice because it made it seem like a dining experience though it’s pretty much fast casual. I’ll definitely go back for more.
The concierge at our hotel recommended thisnplace and it dod not disappoint. Loved the Bao tacos. Tried the Astro Pig, the Mojo, the Rebel, the Space Kalbi, the Yum Yum, and the Big Bang. They all tasted great. Favorite was the Big Bang and the Rebel. A few are listed as spicy, but they weren't spicy. The atmosphere is very fun, space dragon meets star wars. Place was clean and staff was nice.
My husband and I came here on Sunday for dinner and had a wonderful experience! Immediately when you walk in you are transported out of this world, and we love a fully committed theme. There was a server to help us through as it was our first time. We ordered on the screen at the front, which has pictures to help you decide. We went with the Space Kalbi bao and the "Mojo" bao, then the UFO burger & fries. The Space Kalbi was our favorite of the 2 baos, but both were delicious and would order again. The UFO burger is sealed on all sides which is fantastic if you don't like making a mess! They also have a complimentary valet service from Wednesday-Saturday from 5:30-9pm, which we didn't get to use, but will definitely consider next time. Food was all delicious and we will definitely be back!
Atmosphere was awesome! Davonte and Mary were very cool people and helped me through my first experience trying Bao in Orlando. I will certainly be coming back whenever I’m in town! ⭐️
Fantastic and quick, with a fun space themed atmosphere, amazingly delicious bao, and friendly staff. We tried the Cosmic Fish, The Fried Chicken, and the Space Kalbi. All three were great but we LOVED the Space Kalbi. Will definitely be back!
No pictures bc it was so good that I ate it all too fast! I ordered the Astro Pig, the Space Kalbi & some panko chicken nuggets. All of it was great but the Space Kalbi was incredible! Great late night option, but this place would be great any time of day. Don’t wait to try it - BAO NOW!
My recent dining experience at Bao’s Spot on Church Street turned out to be a delightful encounter with the diverse flavors they offer. Nestled in the bustling downtown of Orlando, this spot is a gem for anyone looking to indulge in a variety of dishes that cater to both adventurous eaters and those who prefer something more traditional. The hearty selection of items, including ‘The Rebel’, ‘Meteor Bites’, a kid-friendly grilled cheese with fries, and gyoza did not disappoint. Bao’s Spot shines particularly during happy hour, with unbeatable deals on drinks and baos priced under $5. It’s an offer that’s hard to pass up and adds great value to the dining experience. While the service was just okay, not detracting from the overall experience, the food more than made up for it. The ‘Rebel’ and ‘Meteor Bites’ were standout dishes, offering a burst of flavor and a peek into the culinary creativity of the kitchen. The gyoza was also well-prepared, a nice nod to classic Asian fare that complemented the meal. As for the grilled cheese with fries, it was described as plain, yet it managed to hit the spot, especially for my child who found it to be quite tasty. In conclusion, Bao’s Spot in downtown Orlando is worth a visit for those looking for a casual dining experience with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of dishes. Whether you’re in it for the happy hour deals or to explore the menu, it’s a place that seems to have something for everyone. The food certainly does not disappoint, and I look forward to returning to try more of what they have to offer.
We were hungry after a concert at the Kia Center and found that this place was open late and a short walk away. Wow! Brussel Sprouts and crispy pork bao buns were amazing! The vibes and decor were great as well and service was quick. They were out of Boba tea because of the event before concert so would like to try it next time!
Great experience! We are visiting out of town for my partners birthday and decided to give this place a try, and I’m glad we did! The service here was very good. Everyone who works here is so kind and honestly we spent just as much time eating as we did having conversation with them. They are so attentive and made sure the food was fresh and delicious for us. The environment here is so cool and the food is so good I forgot to take pictures because I was too busy chowing down, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food!
This place was awesome for both delicious food and atmosphere! Everything we ordered was great! We got the brussel sprouts "martian munchies", "the perfect mass" and "super nova" rice bowls, Baos: the fried chicken, astro pig and big bang, and dessert- churros with nutella. (all pictured with this review). We also like this spot as we are Star Wars/sci fi nerds and the location is one of the coolest weve been to locally without being overwhelming to those that wouldnt be as excited about it. Super excited about coming back again! (Maybe for the next Sabacc night??? ;)
Went to check out this place today! And the food was amazing! My favorite was the Space Kalbi. Also the service is outstanding. The cashier and the owner were super kind and attentive. The theme of the restaurant made me feel like I was at a theme park. Definitely coming back for more!!!
What a fun place to hang out and eat delicious baos!! There's also boba and other items to eat up til 3am on the weekends! 3 am!?! 🥰😋 We were there for a night market hosted by The Bao Spot! It was a lot of fun and Local Orlandoans are always so nice. I enjoyed the small community vibes! Definitely a must try with your besties for midnight munchies. 🤩
Wow! Our first time having Bao and it was delicious! The brussel sprouts were like chips. We did the Bao lunch special 2 Bao, fries and a soda which was a deal like $13. And a peach slushy boba with 1/2 half sugar, very refreshing! We parked in the garage which was $7 and as soon as we came in were greeted. Place clean and the guy behind counter communicated every step of the way even helping us with our order. Def come try it.
This place has a great atmosphere. The space restaurant theme is well done. The staff was very nice, Devonte went above and beyond to make our experience there great. The food was really good if you like kimchi the space cowboy bao is excellent. It has a seasoned beef that pairs well with the kimchi. They also make the kimchi in house. They have several bao buns, burgers, and other meals. I will definitely go back when in there area.
The Bao spot was a cool place to eat. Unique decor with music playing. The baos were delicious. Prices are truly reasonable. We over ordered but managed to eat everything!! We had the rebel ( spicy crispy softshell crab arugula & apple kimchi), astro pig ( sou vide pork belly darken & cilantro), fried chicken (arugula & sake aioli), 2 bobas strawberry and passion fruit, crunchy French fries, and fried cheesecake with ice cream. Like I said we over ordered.😉 Everything was freshly made and flavorful. Baos warm. Service was excellent. Warm friendly and prompt. The Bao spot is a gem. Definitely will eat here again.
I’d like to start by saying that I don’t know how this place only has 4.3 stars because it was fantastic! I am in town for work. The staff at the clinic and I walked over. It’s a little tucked back, but it’s not hard to find. If you look at my reviews, I don’t often venture out with my food choices. The team I was with wanted to go and I decided to try something new. I had to fight the urge to get the fried cheese curds and be a big girl and actually have Bao in a Bao Restaurant. I settled on the pork belly boa Combo with a drink and fries. I’m always concerned with pork belly because I don’t want a mouthful of fat. When it came out, it was super flavorful, not big chunks of fat, and the fries were even fantastic! I almost don’t want to try Bao again now for fear that it won’t live up to what I had today! It is definitely a unique aesthetic inside with a sci-fi fantasy vibe. So it’s fun and it has really great food!
Went to meet a friend for lunch and we decided to try this place and boy were we glad we did. The beef bao was SPECTACULAR and the gyoza was crisped to perfection with a delicious dipping sauce. What really stood out was the STELLAR SERVICE from DEVANTE!!! His attention to our satisfaction exceeded our expectations and make us eager to return and try more of the many delicious looking dishes on the menu. We were lucky the weather was perfect for outdoor seating. My only qualm would be how dark the interior was, but that isn't enough to keep me away. I've been raving to all my co-workers about this yummy spot!
The brussel sprouts and baos were so good! We also ordered a burger that arrived to our table a little late (which is really not a big deal) but the cook gave us a free dessert anyways as an apology! Everybody was very nice and I loved the vibes of the restaurant!
Exelente experiencia, chef D,D demasiado amable y nos atendio en español! Super recomendado 10/10
EN/I feel good inside is different. You can orden For yourself and the food is delivered so fast. I got impressed about the french fries is also MC Don... But I ordered BAOS and they were amazing.
Bao Spot is a fairly new spot, and I’ll be honest—the vibe threw me off a bit at first. From the outside, I expected something more traditionally Asian-inspired. Inside, it is Asian-inspired… but with a cyberpunk, industrial, almost Star Wars–meets–Hollywood Studios aesthetic. Dark, moody lighting, textured sci-fi-looking walls—it feels a little out of place conceptually, but it’s undeniably cool to look at. If you’re unfamiliar with bao, they’re light, fluffy, slightly sticky buns—think soft bread without the crust—stuffed with your choice of filling and eaten taco-style. Simple concept, very satisfying when done right. Ordering is done through a self-service computer screen, and they call your number when it’s ready. You can also get alcohol here, which adds to the hangout factor. The kitchen is partially open, and the overall atmosphere stays on the darker side, which fits the futuristic design they’re going for. One of the more unexpected (and cool) perks: they host an open mic for all art forms every Tuesday evening. It’s the kind of thing you might stumble into by accident—and end up staying longer than planned. Overall, Bao Spot feels a little unconventional in theme, but that’s part of its charm. If you’re open to something different—both visually and culturally—it’s worth checking out, especially if you catch it on an open mic night.
Great little place, I enjoyed the 2 bao lunch special. Shout out to whoever runs the playlist, as a fellow millennial, we appreciate you. ✊🏼
Kid friendly - Yes after dealing with downtown parking. Amazing atmosphere with Sci-Fi Star Wars vibes. After two visits, their food quality is trily great. Unfortunately, this place is plagued by their intake design and staffing ratios. Drinks take 20-30 minutes even to pour a beer. To order is a tablet design people must navigate. While easy in concept bottlenecks lines out the door. Food prep whether 5-6pm entry or 11pm post concert entry was 35-45 for 3 steam buns. Equivalent on colonial/ bumby would.be 10-15 minutes max. Everyone is always friendly, love the creativity in atmosphere, love their charity work, but they really need to solve their work stream problems. Hope they survive, rooting for them.
I don’t really go downtown. I should have done a little more research. There is no convenient parking. You have to park in a garage ($15 flat rate). I later found out they offer valet parking Wednesday-Saturday. It’s a small, laid back, space themed location. I missed the sign at first look. Once you enter you will see the menu on the wall. To the right the ordering stands. Once you place your order, you get your own drink from the fountain, then you sit and wait. They do offer beer and wine. That’s a plus. I wanted to try a burger. Unfortunately they were out of buns. I was forced to try their baos. I wasn’t too sure but I am glad I did. The cashier’s recommendations were a hit. I ordered the Martian Munchies (Brussels sprouts), the “Mojo”, Astro Pig, and the Rebel baos. All very flavorful and well seasoned. I loved the textured and taste of the baos buns. First time trying them. I will have to go back to pick a favorite. I really enjoyed all of them. I will definitely be going back.
The Bao Spot offers a unique dining experience with a promising menu and futuristic thematic decor. My meal started with the fried Brussels sprouts. They hao potential but were a bit too al dente and could use more seasoning beyond just the honey and bacon. Dipping them in the provided white sauce was tricky, so drizzling it on top might be a better option. The second course featured two bao buns: The Mojo and The Rebel. The Mojo, with its Braised Beef, Mojo Sauce, Guac, Pico, and Cilantro, was decent. The guac sauce was delicious, but the beef was a bit dry, and the cilantro flavor was hard to detect. The Rebel, with Spicy Crispy Softshell Crab, Dressed Arugula, and Apple Kimchi, had great flavor, though a bit fishy. The sauce on this would be fantastic on fried chicken! The highlight was the Space Burger, which had sautéed onions and ranch. It was incredibly flavorful and moist - a definite must-try. The restaurant's space dragon theme is visually appealing, though the music could use more variety. One downside was hearing a cook loudly discussing free food giveaways, which was somewhat distracting. Overall, The Bao Spot shows a lot of effort in its menu and ambiance, though a few tweaks could elevate the experience even more.
Buns arrive steaming. The elements are prepared ahead of the time, but assembled and served at the right temperature. The bao bun has no off taste. Had crispy chicken bao and bubu (yuca) bao, both were filling, but in a healthy way. The owner is a wonderful gentleman, patient and generous. He gave me a free bao when it was I who made a mistake during placing my order. There’s patio seating as well, a definite lunch spot during spring and autumn seasons.
New spot we have found and we love it! First time we went was Super Bowl afternoon, super nice Latin workers male and female made it very welcoming and super kind, makes you wanna come back so we did! Today around 10:20pm another work name Sean super kind made my food quick and was super friendly. Unfortunately I wanted to give a full 5 stars but the turn off was the cashier working long black hair big glasses was rude to the other worker Sean for being kind to me. I understand everyone may not know every rule to a t but for her to purposely and rather loud talk down at another co worker for being “to kind” and “what was that for” in front of the customers super uncool. That being said shout to Sean and the workers before that made great food and great customer service! That’s what keeps customer coming back! Attitude like your other worker is what loses them regular worker or supervisor doesn't matter you shouldn’t talk down to someone for being kind to customers! Hopefully will be back unfortunately if I see the worker there I’ll just casually walk across to another store or order online who knows, wouldn’t want to encounter that again!
This place kind of sucked to be honest. Vibe was alright. But the only real complaint is the food. I got a chicken Bao Bun and it almost choked me to death because of how dry and tough it was. Each bite broke off into shards and stabbed my throat as I swallowed. and the sauce was gross... Not for me. Also this place is kind of expensive for what you get.
Let me start off by saying the food is excellent. Our experience wasn’t pleasant though. We waited over an hour and a half for our dine in food and watched as people got served that came in after us. The manager did come over and apologize but even after, we still waited another 20 minutes. Ridiculous! I feel that for a bill that totaled $92, something should have been compensated. Do better The Bao Spot. You should have been prepared for a concert night at the Kia Center!
Rice was lumpy and Luke warm. Gyoza was really good. Wings were ok. Didn’t like the fried chicken. Wasn’t impressed.
First time having these Asian fusion "bao tacos" that have started to become popular over the past decade. I'll start with the good. Prime location, walking distance from the sunrail and everything else downtown, so it's a great spot to kill some time while waiting for an event in the area to start, which is exactly what I did. It is a quickservice restaurant without any sort of traditional table service. The restaurant is filled with a handful of nerdy pop culture references and I had a fun time recognising them. I showed up about 30 minutes after they opened at 11am and was one of 3 customer groups. It took about 10 minutes to get my order. I ended up getting the Yum Yum and Fried Chicken baos. Both were delicious but also extremely messy because of all the sauce. The Yum Yum in specific could barely hold all of the kimchi. So be prepared to have to thoroughly wash your hands after if your bao has a lot of sauce or toppings. I will also admit that they were much more filling than I could have ever expected. Now to my only real complaint. Pretty much every restaurant in this plaza is crazy overpriced in my opinion, so I should have known what I was getting myself into. But my 2 baos and a $7 can of beer came out to $21.08 which is absolutely ridiculous to be completely honest. When you're only a dollar or two away from paying Disney World/airport prices, you know you've got a problem. Either way, aside from the price point, I enjoyed myself and recommend the place if you're looking for a unique dining experience walking distance from the Kia Center. Also, considering how late they're open, this place is probably an oasis in the desert after a night of drinking and/or dancing. Final note: there is a code for the bathroom due to the amount of homeless people in the area I'd assume. The bathroom code can be found on the bottom of your receipt that gets sent to your phone after placing an order.
2 stars for the very slow service. Took an hour wait for two bao buns. 35min into the wait, i get told by the staff that one of the items i ordered was sold out. The chicken one wasn’t the best tasting 5/10, the shrimp was decent 7/10.
Ramen came out so raunchy that I lost my appetite the moment I smelled it, and I wasn't even the one eating it. All the other food was pretty good, but that ramen completely ruined my mood. I had tried it because I was curious. Horrible. Everyone agreed. Get anything else, but don't get the ramen. Space kalbi was crazy good
Ive ordered from here a good amount of times and usually it’s great but this time when I ordered the Perfect Mass on Uber Eats, it took me a moment to realize I got no tofu at all and no real scallions. I also asked for extra glaze which I didn’t get either. I think they put extra kimchi which I didn’t want and if you didn’t have it, it might be better to call and ask or something. This bowl isn’t exactly cheap. Also, my Thai Tea came with Crystal Boba which I had requested not to have because I don’t like it. Just a rough day. I can’t request any kind of refund or assistance from Uber because they believe that restaurants can do no wrong. Just sad.
I ordered 3 baos, 2 of them with Beef and one with shrimp and the beef ones were inedible. They were black squares of beef that were burnt and dry. We got our food after 9 pm. But that doesn't mean it should be just plain bad. I attempted to call the resturaunt. The voice mail box is nonexistent and it would not ring. Straight to a voicemail box I can't leave a message for.
First time going here. I wasn't really too impressed with it. The only thing that I enjoyed was the Mango Boba drink. I ordered the panko shrimp bao with bacon jam and pickled onions. No word of a lie, it had about one large size shrimp, and the boa wasn't even warm enough. In my opinion, they are way overpriced for the portions that they give. I definitely won't go back there. Thought I would try this place out because it looked cool. I drove an 1hr - 15 minutes for mediocre food. I am posting a picture of the Bao with it just so you can see the size and portion that you get. They are between $6 and $8.25 each, not worth it. First,
So I wanted to like this place. I love bao buns. Visited on a Tuesday around 2. My husband asked the man at the counter how to order, he pointed to the computer screens like we were stupid. No human interaction. Just give us money and leave. We didn't tip( why would we) and he literary threw our food tray on the table. Baos first, then the so-called starters, dumplings..If you call it a starter, bring it first. Duh. We got ours after our baos and with a healthy dose of attitude. The guy absolutely dropped the tray on the table. Loudly. He was so rude. One bao is way overpriced. Not terrible. We both got shrimp different ways. Not overcooked. Glad for that. Menu was very small. It was the service and price that made us not happy. Especially the service. The place was empty. Tuesday the 21st of may at around 2 pm. Not another soul in sight. The baos weren't bad, Just weren't worth the price or the attitude. Go to King Bao. Bigger menu, nicest people ever. Maybe spend less on the decor( trying too hard, (cringe). Work on price and service. I wouldn't go back. If you slam a tray on my table like I'm a bother, I'm done. I wanted to like this place. Such a shame..
Irritated me to the max. I’m a person cook. I have the experience, I know what it takes to run a restaurant. When the restaurant had no wait time it don’t take 35min to make chicken wings and fry small portion kids meal. Short light skin guy I felt like was doing it on purpose. He could’ve been working and talking at the same time. The food made me sick by the way
One item of the food was good, but when we ordered the bao with pork belly it was so tough we couldn't eat it. The meat was thick and looked like pork loin or pork chops cut and cooked like pork belly, which would explain why it was so tough. We had to just throw them away. The brussel sprouts were okay, but there were only around 8 half slices of a brussel sprout. I wouldn't go again. I marked the service down because there is someone up front but she didn't greet us, direct us how to order, or say anything until I asked her a direct question. Once we were done ordering our own food on an iPad, she still didn't say anything, and I had to ask how we would know the food was ready or how they would find us. And after zero ordering help the screen still asked for a tip.
The burger itself is probably the best in town, but unfortunately the staff is rude and lacks any sense of urgency. I placed an order at night, and instead of giving me a simple phone call to let me know the burger wasn’t available, they just left me hanging. Being the last order of the night, they didn’t offer any solution or even suggest a different option, poor service 👎🏻
This milk tea was a war crime in a cup—tasted like fermented sugar water filtered through a gym sock. If your goal is a fast track to diabetes and regret, congrats, this is it. The dumplings? So dry I legit thought I was chewing on a rolled-up receipt. I left with emotional damage and no faith in humanity.
I have ordered from here a few times. Today I came in to order a drink. The store was empty but the young lady didn't want to be bothered I guess. The only time I was noticed was after the tablet you order on died. Then the manager stood there chit chatting and the worker enjoying her own thao 0 he as if I was not standing there and I had to stand there for a while until they even realize through their distinct conversation that an order had even come up my order was made as an afterthought while I was standing there when they looked up and noticed that I was still interrupting their conversation. I think the fact that there was nobody in the entire restaurant really underscored the poor service that I was provided I really wouldn't recommend anybody coming there it kind of seems like a restaurant where the workers all hang out but they're not worried about the customer service I was shocked that the manager would engage in this with the worker but there are lots of places to get Thai tea and milk tea from downtown
A genuinely awful first (and last) experience. My friends and I came here for a special event, but the night quickly went downhill. The place was overcrowded and cramped, and every staff interaction ranged from cold to outright rude. I won’t even get into the menu just know it was just as unimpressive as the service. Definitely not worth the time or money. 1 star is generous given the experience we had.
