Opinions de The District GastroBar Orlando
I went to The District GastroBar for brunch with a friend, and we had a great time! She ordered the shrimp and grits with a strawberry margarita, and I went with the steak and eggs paired with a strawberry lemonade sangria. Everything came out quickly, fresh, and flavorful. We had reservations, which worked out perfectly because the place started getting busy a little after 1 p.m. The vibes were great, good food, good drinks, and a lively atmosphere without feeling overcrowded. Definitely a solid spot for brunch. I’d go back again!
The District Gastrobar is absolutely the place to be. My husband and I spent at least two hours here enjoying their bottomless mimosa's on their brunch menu, and their wings. The owner, KC , has done a fantastic job with this place. The food, service and vibes were immaculate. Shoutout to the bartender, Jason, who provided a magnificent atmosphere for us to enjoy our afternoon in downtown Orlando. 10/10 for sure recommend!
The shrimp and grits, lump crab cake and lobster roll were wonderful! Great location near the stadium. 10/10
D had us seated with waters within 2-3 minutes even though the restaurant was packed. Atmosphere was lively with anticipation for the OCSC game! We ordered Guinness short rib grilled cheese and truffle fries! So delicious. Service was friendly and efficient and a fair price! Can't wait to come back!
Here's a polished, enthusiastic review for the District Gastropub: --- We stopped in at District Gastropub during our road trip to catch the Iceman taking on the Solar Bears, and it was the perfect choice! The food was incredible— the wings were cooked to perfection with bold, mouthwatering flavors, and the shrimp Po' Boy sandwich was off the charts! The atmosphere was lively, with great music playing, and the customer service was top-notch. It’s a spot we highly recommend to anyone near the Kia Arena. We’ll definitely be back!
The food here was fantastic and the service was awesome! I went here with my boyfriend before a concert at the Kia center. The place was packed but the host told us we could head next door to their attached bar and get food there. We didn't mind a bar table, so that alone saved us a 40 minute wait. There was only one bartender next door who was super nice even though she was clearly swamped. She helped us get quick service and even walked with me next door to make sure we were helped. The server was very kind and helped us out, even though the place was packed. The drink specials were great (2 for 1 tequila!) and they were running a Bite30 dinner special. Everything we had was delicious (crab cake, meatballs, chicken pasta, steak plate, butter cake & carrot cake) and I would certainly recommend trying it out!
Traveled in from the west coast on a work/vacation trip. I saw The District as a must visit on the travel channel. I came on a quiet night but enjoyed the amazing service by the bartender Cole. The drinks were well balanced, the conversation made you feel like long lost friends and the food was packed with favor and came out quick. In and out in a little over an hour. Although with the welcoming nature of the bartender Cole, I wish it was longer. If you go, make sure you try the Lavender Lemon Drop and Strawberry Mango Martini. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Dined in on Wednesday eve and been thinking about it ever since. Rumour has it that chef Jordan is being voted for best chef in Orlando and he sooo deserves it! I've had lobster bisque everywhere that served it on my world travels and none compare. I don't think my pics can even do it justice! Not a fan of the nachos/ tostones but Mac and cheese and sandwich were also delicious. Our server Brie was a great host and so attentive. Disappointed that wine down Wednesday specials found on line weren't valid but that's on Management. They're luky to have Brie and Jordan providing the best food and service. Will def be back! I hear brunch/ shrimp and grits is a must although the place will be allot busier.
Decided to grab dinner last night before heading to downtown. We were greeted so nicely by Kyliee and Chase. Kylie was very knowledgeable on the menu and recommendations, while Chase helped out with drink recommendations. I got the guava smash, my friend got the mango passion martini, which were both incredibly good drinks, and were made perfectly. The pasta was amazing, and so was the surf and turf! We will definitely be back with friends next time. 10/10!!
I ate there recently with a bunch of friends and we all admitted that we enjoyed our experience there much more than we expected. The atmosphere was very inviting hearing music playing on the speaker on the sidewalk by the entrance. Inside was busy but everyone handled it well. Our bartender/server, Rodney, was very knowledgeable offing us drink and food selection ideas and preferences. He was extremely pleasant, courteous and thorough. We all agreed that we’ll definitely ask for him when we return in the near future. The place is conveniently located near multiple arenas making it the perfect place to have a drink before the events. Absolutely 5 stars!!

Went by this location for taco Tues and happy hour. It’s located near the arena and luckily we were able to find free street parking. The tacos are 2 for 1 on Tuesdays with the exception of the seafood ones. They have several specialty cocktails for $10 from 4-7 pm. The cocktails were good, but the happy hour margaritas were really small. They have a full bar with all of the top shelf choices. The lobster tacos were absolutely delicious. We liked the fried over the grilled, but both were packed with flavor and outstanding. The gumbo was terrible. It was thick and didn’t taste good at all and it was expensive at $16 for a bowl! The establishment was clean and they have a huge speak easy behind the bookshelf where they have live entertainment on the weekends. The bartender was brand new so the service wasn’t perfect, but she was nice and learning. I would definitely go back to try more.
Great Gumbo! Absolutely enjoyed this well seasoned soup. Shrimp po boy was ok but nothing special. Nice atmosphere. Great service. Would return fircthe gumbo and try a different entree.
Black owned businesses downtown with A1 customer service! We came for brunch and the selection was fantastic. Drink selection was great. Lynn was amazing a she was very attentive to our needs even though she was the only one at the bar. They were slow only one cook so the food took a while to come out. We had to send the fried rice because it was a bit salty for our taste. Other than that PLEASE come check this place out.
Visited The District in Orlando while in town visiting a friend for Sunday brunch. We kicked things off with the bottomless mimosas, which were definitely a highlight—fresh, well-balanced, and kept flowing without too much delay. To start, we ordered the avocado hummus, which was absolutely delicious—creamy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the pita. The lobster wontons were also good, though a bit on the spicy side. For our main dishes, we tried the steak and eggs, wings, and shrimp and grits. The standout was easily the shrimp and grits—perfectly seasoned, rich, and comforting. The steak and eggs were solid, nothing groundbreaking, but cooked well. The wings were probably our least favorite—nothing bad, just a bit underwhelming compared to the other dishes. Service was okay—not bad, but not especially memorable either. We also wished the music had been just a bit louder to bring more energy to the brunch vibe.
Service a little slow for brunch with only one server and a bartender but not too bad since it wasn’t packed. Lobster wontons were my favorite! The District platter with the short rib could have been better if the meat had a gravy or au jus to add that savory flavor, otherwise it was just dried and stringy. Still edible just missing the flavor

It was a chill atmosphere after a concert. They were pretty busy, the bartenders were kind and very knowledgeable of the variety of alcohol they sold. They have a great collection of bourbon and whiskey available to drink which was pretty cool. Now the ahi tacos were not seared at all, they were cooked all the way through like canned tuna. The flavor was decent tho. I wasn’t a fan of the puffy flour tacos because they crumbled with the first bite. I felt bad for their staff as they only had 2 people cooking the food when they were legit slammed. The Philly sliders and fried pickles were on point.
I came here with my parents on a recommendation from a tiktok for brunch, and can I just say, wow! The Gastrobar’s atmosphere is really nice and feels like a unique setting! The staff were amazing as soon as we walked through the door, even sitting us away from the front entrance so that we weren’t being stared at by passerby’s! We had a wonderful server, Barbie, who gave us wonderful drink recommendations! She was also very quick to get our drinks and food to our table. She had an amazing personality! The food was good, though it was a little bland. I ordered the French Toast Platter, which came with Pork Bacon, and was very happy with it! Barbie, our server, even let me know that the toast was not burnt on top and was just the cooked french toast batter, which I really appreciate! My food was very good and I was definitely happy with how it tasted. My parents both had the Chicken and Waffles and were both very happy with it! The waffles were a great combo of crispy and fluffy in the middle, which complimented well with the chicken. The chicken was good as well! Overall, a good spot for seafood, chicken, and brunch options. Great atmosphere and very nice staff. music choices are good as well and aren’t too loud or too quiet, so you don’t overhear everyone’s conversation on purpose! The only thing I would suggest is that they move the tables a little more away from each other, as my parents and I had a little trouble getting out. 8/10, Definitely would visit again!
I ordered the shrimp and grits, it was amazing! It included sausage and a small crab cake. Full of flavor and it was a good portion. The atmosphere was decent for watching football. The old school R & B music was a plus. It’s unfortunate that they don’t provide a check when it’s time to pay, they tell you the total and swipe your card, and beware of the 20% service fee.

I gave this place two stars for the service ALONE! My family and I attended a Black History Month Event and wanted to support a black owned business so as we visited the castro bar on 2/10/26 there was only one waitress there and she had two tables already seated one eating and one she was serving drinks! it took quite some time for her to seat us IMMEDIATELY i noticed her attitude wasn’t the best, as we were seating down I asked her is this black owned and she stated and i quote “I don’t know” and i looked surprised and then she said yes it is but im sure you already knew that to I responded I wasn’t sure and wanted to make certain as businesses change owners all the time and wanted to patronize a black owned business and she was NOT HAPPY! ( she was of another ethnicity) which didn’t matter i love ALL PEOPLE and I support ALL PEOPLE but wanted to support MY PEOPLE this night! as we tried to change the vibe my fiancé asked her what’s your signature dish what are you known for and she stated “I don’t know” it was four of us and we all looked like huh you can’t tell us nothing good on the menu you make super good or something people order all the time and rave about THIS WAS OUR FORET TIME THERE! SHE WAS HORRIBLE! if the tip wasn’t added she surely wouldn’t have received 20% she’s super lucky! the wings were EXCELLENT, the steak sliders were also Delicious, the shrimp and grits were just OK! the grits weren’t creamy nor cheesy as the description stated, they were super gritty if that makes any sense! after the service we just weren’t really comfortable or excited to be there anymore! I’d say who you have working for you makes a world of difference especially when they’re the first person who greets you, seats you and serves you! if they’re rude it makes you not wanna come back! The place is small but quaint with plenty of tvs and a nice size bar! it’s definitely in a prime location with great parking! and the prices were excellent!
this place has potential . very limited seating . we made reservations for 2:00pm, we did not get seated until 3:04pm . melissa was doing the best she can to accommodate us and for that we appreciate her . the bartender is terrible, while melissa was visibly busy…we asked for refills of water from the bartender she did not have any patrons she was tending to but proceeded to tell us she’d tell our waitress…i guess her text messages were more important because she then leaned on the counter and proceeded to get on her phone . chantal was helpful in the beginning but i guess we were asking for “too much” when she decided to start avoiding us at all cost . we just wanted to have a good experience especially since we’re spending money here . there is no teamwork in this establishment . if one server is busy, one that isn’t should step in instead of “that’s not my table” for this to be a black owned restaurant they aren’t very welcoming to black people but once a white person comes in they are doing tricks and splits . like are you serious ? i’m not saying they (yt people) should be treated differently but don’t treat your own with such disgust and displeasure . we were getting stale faces and mean mugs but again once a yt person/family came in, all smiles and sunshine . jordan stepped in towards the end of our visit and he was like a breath of fresh air, for the little time we spent together made the experience a little bit better . thank you, jordan . now that was got service out the way ! the food was really good . i had the chicken and waffles . the chicken seasoned and fried to perfection . what i didnt appreciate was they gave me burnt waffles but flipped them over to i guess “hide” the burn as if i wasn’t going to taste it ? that was dumb . instead of just remaking them which they had to do anyway . overall experience 3/10 . i would rate 1/10 if it wasn’t for melissa and jordan . and another thing, just because gratuity is automatically added doesn’t mean you treat people weird because depending on the service you will get a tip on top of the gratuity . and since when did they start letting kids sit at the bar . jon taffer would have a ball at this place .

The food was good. They included a 20% tip for the two of us which is fine, however the server told me she had to split this several ways, she kept saying this until I felt I had to give more of a tip. $100 for one small crab cake, fries, two drinks and a sprite. I was there taking my son to a concert, so I did come back and sit at the bar. One bartender was very nice, the other girl kept ignoring me when I tried to get her attention. I spent another $100.
It is so unfortunate that I will not be patronizing this business anymore. Today (my birthday) was my 3rd time going because the other times I had delicious food and decent service. Today everyone at my table enjoyed their food, and Gregory (server) did an amazing job muti-tasking with positive energy. However he was the only person caring for every table in the restaurant. We were the first people seated immediately after they opened at noon, and put our whole order in at that time. We did not get waters until 12:15, mimosas until 12:30 and did not get our food until 12:45p. This is unusual compared to my previous visits. We asked to speak to the owner/manager to inform him of the inconvenience. We watched him stop & talk to a table beside us several times without even acknowledging us. We saw the server go over to him & point to our table again. Still the owner ignored us. When he finally did come to our table, we were met with resistance, bad attitude, and our concerns were disregarded. It is clear that the owner does not prioritize customer service, which is simply unacceptable.
Do not spend your money here!! Service was horrible, our server was not attentive at all and the manager or cook was rude and very aggressive. There was no price on the drink menus and bartender served watered down drinks. I had a Hennessy margarita that tasted like water and when I asked for it to be remade the drink was left at the table and never was picked up. My friend also ordered a sangria and was presented with a beer can. My friend proceeded to ask for a strawberry lemonade only to receive a half filled glass of regular lemonade and water. When we told the server to take the drinks back AGAIN he left them at the table and never returned only sending the manager who did not help us but criticized us for not wanting the drinks. Moving forward to the food, it took 30 minutes to receive our appetizer and everything was SALTY from the fish nuggets, cheese dip and wings. My friend ordered a brisket grilled cheese that was filled with nothing but cheese no brisket in sight. When asked to take the food (that wasn’t eaten) back and off of our tab, we were harassed by the manager ONCE AGAIN about it and he continued to argue about our experience. At the end I was charged for a $20 strawberry Hennessy, bad service, gummy wings and disgusting food 😊👍. I will not be returning and I hope they find better management, servers and bartenders.

Save yourself the slow and bad service. Our friends went before a Magic game on a Thurs last month and said service was slow but that the server said they were new. So we tried it again tonight, a Thurs, before a Magic game. Got there around 5 and game wasn’t until 7. One server took our drink order and dropped the drinks off, that’s about all the “Service” we received. We had asked to put our apps in at the same time as drinks. Received our bar drinks and then our apps and that was it for over an hour. Never were asked if we wanted more drinks, No one came over to us. So We sat there with no drinks at all. We saw our server making drinks behind the bar so we Waived someone else down to ask if we could order our food and for a water. We also tried to order more drinks but he couldn’t or wouldn’t for us. We sat some more with no drinks and we’re ready to leave but our food showed up. We ordered more drinks from our initial server when she finally came over after the food was delivered. We Immediately asked for check which automatically has a 20% gratuity added. Apparently there was no manager there to even know how bad it is. We all work in the industry so some didn’t want to say anything but I’m at a point that I tell ppl when it’s bad, this was BAD. They tried to get us waters after we asked for the check. We paid the check $400 check with gratuity included that wasn’t deserved. Pretty place. Food was good. Service was the worst I’ve had in a long time. It’s like we were being rude for having to call someone over to order our food or want more drinks. Gave it two chances at night and Will never go back.
The tables were empty except 1 table of four. The bar was almost full. Only 3 empty seats but between groups of people. We asked for a high top so we wouldn't take up a table as we just wanted to grab 1 drink Quickly. They told us they had reservations and every table including the tables outside were reserved. We left and went someplace else instead. We passed by 30 minutes later after we had our drink someplace else and they were still more than half 3mpty. Do not go unless you have a reservation. They are not organized enough to have people stop for a drink.
