Food is amazing, very small waiting area. It was very busy and loud. The cashier had difficulty hearing me order. Im not quiet at all. Ask my friends. Lol!

Visited November 30th..see my receipt. This place is located in Oroville. It is next to Bigfoot Eats. They open at 8am and I was the first one to order. I ordered the Country skillet breakfast ( 2 scrambled eggs with hash browns and bacon over biscuits and gravy). I had the gravy on the side. I was surprised that the bacon were just small little pieces with what looked like tater tots. You pick up the food at the counter and seat yourself. The eggs were cool to the touch. Biscuits were pretty good. Gravy made it better! I only had a few bites and brought it back to my friends place. He enjoyed it alot more than I did! Manuel was friendly but the lady was a bit cold and not very welcoming. It's retro inside and also serves beer and sodas along with coffee and other items. I think they are known for their burgers. I don't live in this area so I won't be back to this place.

Food and service were great. The girls working were very busy the place was packed and doordash was chiming in. They did a great job a little bit of a wait but worth it. Only thing I would point out is the dining area needed attention.

I had the soggiest teriyaki pineapple burger that was pure mush. My wife had a mushroom burger that was flavorless. The frys were either cooked in old oil or burned oil. Such a disappointment from two weeks before. My wife even made the comment, "the cooks don't care about what they cook.."

Good food but there's a really long wait every single time. We have tried calling our order in to hopefully wait less but I don't think they will start an order unless you're physically there. The other day we were on a time crunch between appointments. Called in the food right when we were leaving Chico, drive the 30 mins there and food is not ready. Had to wait an additional 25 mins for food to be ready! All we ordered was 2 cheese burgers with no add on toppings, and 2 milkshakes. They have the best milkshakes but ordering those alone tend to take almost 30 mins every single time even when ordering in advance over the phone, get there and still wait 20+ mins. Does not matter if you call 10 mins or 30 mins before arrival, you will wait. Every. Single. Time.

Sun, Feb 8th. Our family wanted to give this place a try ordering two Family Meals. I called in the order being that it's super bowl Sunday I figured there would be heavy traffic plus prepping all the food we'd get an order in soon as possible. Whoever answered immediately wanted to hang up without asking for a name of the order, didn't give us a duration of time for wait, didn't ask us what we wanted on our burgers. Lawd have mercy I was doing this girls job for her! I even told her to take their time :) So we finally arrive to pick everything up. I bring my mom & brother to help carry everything out. Right when we walk in super happy to pick our food up! They looked at us like we was gonna rob them!!! Hahahahhahah the most bizarre experience in the world. They were giving myself & my mom the most uncomfortable ugly mean-mug looks EVER!!! lol You think we killed their cats with how harsh they were starring us down lmao I'm not even kidding. The atmosphere was just unsettling. We got home after talking about how weird the vibes were but we thought the food would be worth it at least LMAO. NOPE!! I didnt even know it was possible to make burgers without any flavor?!! Like was the seasoning bottles not in the room with us??. The fries were soggy as hell. Fountain drinks tasted funky like they were all flat or needed to be changed. Greasy, sloppy & lacking in everything. This place is definitely not worth the staff having permanent stank faces on mean-mugging their customers like that. All the ladies cooking behind the counter were just off. I guess I would be too, if i had my face over hot heat frying burgers all day & you see a group of Happy customers walk in lol That's the only thing I could think of as to why they were being the way they were. Every food establishment (bad or good) with hard working employee's has my full respect, but this place isnt it. Looking at the reviews now. Glad we aren't the only ones who think staff is unprofessional. Crazy how hyped this place is. People in this town need to get their taste buds & people skills checked. The family meals are 35 bucks each. Bringing it to 40 each at the register 80 plus tax for what we experienced is DIABOLICAL. Save yourself some coin & confusion. Go to Foster Freeze cause they're BOMB! & The staff there are always nice!!!!♡

Ordered bacon bba burger and it was good but paid $3 extra for ballpark fries and got plain fries. By the time we got home they were closed so couldn't fix it. Disappointed but will try again at some point.

Great service but they burnt the hell out of the burgers until they were almost black same for the onions, but most of them were burnt beyond recognition. I couldn’t eat it.

12/5/25 - 8:30am I visited Jake’s Burgers & More recently and was extremely disappointed by the staff interaction (or lack thereof). After ordering a burrito, I found it sitting on the counter growing cold while I waited outside. The two girls working inside apparently didn’t think to wave, call out, or open the door to let me know my order was ready. I waited there for far longer than necessary before finally walking in and asking for it. a clear breakdown in basic hospitality and attentiveness. Jake’s Burger has been a staple in the Oroville community and has lost its reputation hands-down the worst customer service and friendly hospitality in Oroville. If the staff regarded themselves as above “regular” customer service standards. A simple “Hey — your burrito’s ready” or “I’ll bring it out” would’ve shown awareness and respect for the me being customer. Instead, I was left ignored, and my food got cold as a result. For a place that’s reviewed by some for tasty food, this experience shows they need a serious reality check on what good service looks like. They have dropped to an all time low, you’re better off going next door to Jack in the box! Pull your head out of your.. Jake’s Burgers!

Burgers are awesome, price is excellent. But I highly recommend your employees working the front counter learn how to speak to and treat customers with respect and courtesy, regardless of appearance. I needed to use the bathroom. I ran inside and spoelle to my husband who was ordering and paying, asking him to watch our dogs in the car. I am in kidney failure and a stroke left me incontinent at times. I was clearly in distress and in need of a toilet. The girl acted as though I wasn't speaking English when I acquiring as to their bathroom. An older lady stepped in and very rudely informed me that bathrooms are for customers only. Please familiarize yourself with the following AB 1632 (Restroom Access Act): In California, businesses that sell goods to the public and have toilet facilities for their employees must allow any individual lawfully on the premises to use the toilet facility during business hours. I was lawfully in the property. Furthermore, I have a disability. What if I was going to order after I went to the restroom? What about me made you decide that I was not a customer and therefore not worthy of courtesy, respect, and use of your toilet?!? Who are you to treat me as though I am less than? Yes, I had a rough day, WORKING. sorry I didn't look like what you deem a worthy human being to look like. Like I said, DO BETTER. I could care less about what your burger tastes like and costs.

If you're not eating here, be sure not to park in front of Jake's because some psycho, middle-aged, frown-faced, angry woman with a messy bun will come flying out to the parking lot to scream at you that you can't park there if you aren't eating at Jake's. Despite that side of the parking lot being empty, no signs, and the fact that the parking lot isn't owned by Jake's, you'll get screamed at for no reason. Will NEVER eat here now. She must be the same woman other people complain about in other reviews. I actually feel sorry for her. She must be incredibly unhappy and a miserable person. ‍

40 minute wait for take out. We left. Never had a chance to try their food. Every table had people waiting for food. They need to add staff. Frustrating & disapointing experience.
