Rifugio Galaberna Ostana

Bel locale,ottima vista sul "Re di Pietra" ! Abbiamo fatto un ottimo pranzo,fantastiche le acciughe al verde e i tomini con cipolla caramellata! Bon vino ed un servizio molto buono,ripassavano sempre a chiedere chi ne voleva ancora. Molto buona anche la polenta,sia concia che con la salsiccia!

Ci sono stata ieri per la festa di matrimonio di mia figlia. Ottima organizzazione nel rispetto delle norme, aperitivo e pranzo super nonostante la richiesta di avere tutto strettamente vegetariano, vini eccellenti. Il cuoco sa raffinare persino un carpaccio di pomodoro.... per non parlare dei vari tortini sfizietti e dolcini con presentazione da cucina stellata. Avete presente un pranzo al rifugio? Ecco senza nulla togliere.... tutt’un altro paio di maniche! Anche se non mancavano spunti di toma locale e plin alle erbette. E poi cena ottima con dei tagliolini pomodoro e mandorle su cui vorrei approfondire. E ancora le camere pulitissime, con bagno ottimamente accessoriato è un terrazzo con vista mozzafiato sul Monviso (che ieri si è degnato di mostrarsi). Per non parlare dello svago offerto agli ospiti dalla parete attrezzata per scalare, il parco avventura (per ragazzi e non....) e iil Bosco incantato per un percorso rilassante nel verde che non ho fatto in tempo a fare ma mi han detto bellissimo. Vorrà dire che tornerò! Anche perché Silvia & Company sono gentilissimi, efficienti e ci hanno assecondati con tanta gentilezza e professionalità. Grazie

A lovely little restaurant, nestled in a blanket of white snow in winter, at the entrance to a charming village renovated in mountain style, overlooking Monviso and its surrounding mountain peaks. The food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, including the young blonde waitress. Prices are reasonable.

A mid-mountain refuge accessible by car, located in Ostana, a village worth a visit in itself. Splendid views of Monviso. I stayed in a double room with private bathroom for a few days so I could visit the "King of Stone." Newly furnished, impeccably clean, a cuisine worthy of a refuge, and impeccable hospitality. They welcome pets.

The refuge is located just outside Ostana, a charming, beautifully renovated Occitan village. Very clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with excellent food. We had a wonderful time! An excellent starting point for the Monviso tour and other treks.

We've been coming to this refuge for the past 6 or 7 years. It's quiet and clean, and the room isn't particularly large. We've never stayed overnight, but the rooms are spacious. There are games for children both inside and outside. Ostana has been improved and renovated over the years without ruining the mountain village's charm. It even has a bakery again, offering bread, focaccia, and pastries. The view is beautiful, with views of Monviso.

Cibo buono .....anche presentato bene, non la solita polenta che di solito si trova quando si mangia in montagna . Il locale è molto bello si può mangiare sia all' aperto che all' interno. Prezzi nella norma ( per un rifugio)2 antipasti, 2 secondi , 2 dolci 1/2 litro di vino rosso un caffè e un amaro 46 euro. Non ho dato 5 stelle poiché manca l atmosfera di un rifugio, qualche sorriso in più non guasterebbe.

È un bellissimo posto, non ero mai stata. Il paesaggio è da favola, silenzio, bellezza e natura. Il rifugio come si vede dalle foto è molto curato e ben attrezzato. Sono molto gentili le ragazze. Si può prenotare o semplicemente usufruire del bar o del ristorante. Ci sono delle camere attrezzate per disabili anche. I percorsi naturalistici proposti sono di ogni complessità che partono da semplici passeggiate a percorsi impegnativi.

Locale molto carino e accogliente con impronta etica e sostenibile. Interessante la mostra sugli albori dell'alpinismo femminile. È vero che le porzioni non sono abbondanti ma è anche vero che i prez…

The service was very slow; I waited almost an hour or so for my dish, even though it was expected. I didn't ask for seconds because otherwise I would have waited forever. For what I ate, I think I spent too much.

Service could be improved; we waited 30 minutes just to order, even though the place wasn't busy. We weren't thrilled with the food. The location is very beautiful, with a view of Monviso. Prices are average.

We'd like to report an unpleasant situation that could have been handled much better: due to a shortage of rooms, we decided to stay for just one night at the "Chestnut Cabin" B&B. This solution lacked a shower, but we could use the campsite's showers (which turned out to be quite far from the Chestnut, with a downhill walk to get there and a relatively steep climb back). Unfortunately, the chosen solution presented a serious problem: the water in the drain and the two sinks didn't work; we couldn't use the toilet, brush our teeth, wash our hands, or anything else; essentially, we were completely without water. We reported the inconvenience, but hours later, we were informed that the problem couldn't be resolved and that the facility would therefore pay for our stay, as a way of apologizing for the incident. Despite the significant inconvenience, we decided to stay given the late hour, and we made use of a bucket for flushing (which we filled with water outside) and water bottles for brushing our hands and teeth. The next morning, after breakfast (which was supposed to be included), we vacated the Chestnut and, upon handing over the keys, were asked to pay for breakfast anyway (a rather high price: €14 for two). Assuming there was a miscommunication or misunderstanding, and that the "free" hospitality only covered the overnight stay, excluding breakfast, the deposit paid days earlier (5% of the total) was not taken into account. We praise the bar/restaurant staff, but the receptionist's total coldness, inadequacy, unhelpfulness, and indifference to our welcome was a major concern. We must remember that a welcoming person is the true calling card for any business. Hoping that the criticisms will be welcomed and that they will be a way to grow and improve, we thank you and wish you all the best.

Nice place, nothing to complain about. The room was excellent, but the food and table service could be improved. The menu was limited and not suitable for everyone (the agnolotti were disgusting, and if you asked for anything other than the menu, they'd tell you they didn't have it) because the courses were very unusual, with no main courses, and breakfast. If you arrived after 8:30, there was nothing left. The waitress who took the orders was unpleasant and unwelcoming.

Our dinner at this restaurant was unfortunately disappointing, especially the welcome. We were greeted with aloofness and lack of attention, which made the atmosphere unpleasant from the start. The staff seemed disinterested, and there was no effort to make us feel comfortable. The food was average, but nothing memorable. The service during dinner was also rushed and inattentive. It's a shame, because the location is beautiful, but the lack of warmth and attention detracted from the overall experience. We hope for improvements in the future.

Avoid. We made a reservation for lunch. We arrived on time and were seated half an hour later. No one had shown up at the table yet, not even to bring us water. We got up and left. Terrible service, no welcome.

We booked for 12:00 after seeing the menu images posted on their Google profile. The reservation was accepted without any special instructions. We arrived on time, but were informed that the kitchen only opens at 12:30. We asked for at least water, but minutes passed and nothing arrived. The menu was fixed, simply written on a sheet of paper hanging near the table. There were a few off-menu options, but nothing special. At 12:30, we still hadn't been served anything, not even water, nor were we offered the option of an aperitif. In short: poor service. We got up and left.

We arrived one day before New Year’s Eve. The food that day was very good. However, what happened on New Year’s Eve made us feel very uncomfortable. 1. On the dining table, they have used glitter everywhere and it ended up in our drinks and food. Unnecessary micro plastic intake. And this is very not appetizing!!!! The most horrible thing is that we have overheard the workers there boasting about the micro plastic glitter, even though they claim to be sustainable/ environmentally friendly…. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! 2. The food on New Year’s Eve was sadly not very well cooked, but for a gluten-free guest, it was even worse. They first claimed that they will have some kind of risotto that day but in the end, it was some very disgusting penne that they served me. The worst in my life. Then, while everyone had two primi, I had only one. They then promised me that they will serve me two seconds, but they didn’t. However, it was ok because the meat was bad and the potatoes were way too hard for the throat. So, sadly, I cannot give this place a positive review… unless you treat all your guests seriously and keep your “green” promises,
