Opinions de Red House Cafe Pacific Grove
We have been here many times and every time the food and service are fabulous. They are always crazy busy but extremely friendly and they move people through quickly but no one is rushed. One of our favorite places to visit when we are in Pacific Grove
Menu was not large but had a solid selection… food was tasty, high quality, and large in portion… I recommend this place!
This place is amazing! We went to see the butterflies and then went to find a place for brunch. The wait was reasonable and even though there weren’t many gluten free options, the one I did order was incredible. The smoked salmon with capers and potato pancake was so delicious and I will dream about it as I eat miserable college dining hall food. Also get a mocha because it’s not too sweet but very tasty. Vibes are like a cute little cottage and the bathroom is clean.
Such a lovely little house with so much charm! Our food was delicious and fresh with very little wait and the service by Nelson was friendly and professional. We definitely want to come back and highly recommend if you are in the Pacific Grove Area.
All the food was really good. Service was great. I found a fly my cappuccino. They immediately got an a new one and did not charge for mine or my wife’s.
The place had really good tasting food and all the servers were really energetic and jubilant.I would highly recommend going here.
I come to town every few months to visit and I always make a point to come here. We just had dinner this evening and again exceptional! You would expect over the years for staff to change or menu items to shift. That is never the case. All of my favorites are always available. The drink menu is great. The ambience is incredible! I love the service we get and we always try to eat early to enjoy the sunlight while we unwind and chat. Tonight I had the calamari steak with a salad and a mimosa. It is better than I remembered. I don’t know what the chefs are doing back there But I am impressed! Thank you for such a wonderful visit every time I get to come to town💗
Stopped by for lunch after completing a nice 5 mile walk along the Waters edge. We were able to walk right up (which is a rarety) and got a table on the porch. We got the crab cake and the calamari sandwich. Both were delightful and tasted fresh and full of flavor. We were glad that our server recommended both items as we left very satisfied and planning to come back next time we take the day trip to visit.
Rare to have anything to complain about here. Delicious breakfast and lunch. Restaurant closes at 230 to prep for dinner, I believe. Last visit a wine bar was available in the interim. Highly recommend the calamari steak sandwich.
Incredible place. We went at the busiest time and I was worried because a lot of people were waiting. We were seated in about 20 minutes outside on the porch. The meals are cheap, considering the portions and quality. The staff was very nice, and the food was AMAZING. My girlfriend got the Ham Benedict and we both agree that it was the best eggs benedict that we had ever had. Having it on the croissant was very unique and delicious. I got the country breakfast and it was a great value choice!
When asked where I'd like to go for breakfast while in that part of Northern California, I said, "somewhere delicious." Little did I know what was in store for this visit. Walking up to this place, the outside looks like one of those awesome homes you'd live in as a kid that would later be transformed into THE spot where you go for your favorite meal. Once my friend and I were seated we placed our drink orders. The waitress was welcoming and said the fresh-squeezed orange juice was amazing. She was not lying. DEAR LORD it was great. What she surprised me with was the coffee. Holy smokes. The coffee they serve is THE BEST I've had at any restaurant, which says a lot seeing there's a spot in Reno, El Adobé Cafe, that is on-point. Veering. We placed our orders. Much to my surprise, we didn't wait long. My friend ordered the crab Benedict and I had chorizo and eggs. Looking at the pictures I added, you wouldn't know it but everything was perfection. The flavor of the chorizo mixed with the house-made salsa was also a delight. I've said this many times in the past about dining out but the only downside to the meal is I didn't have enough room for everything. The silver lining, they give you two tortillas so I made a burrito for later in the day. The next time you're looking for an incredible breakfast spot in Northern California, make the drive to this place. I wish I was there as I type this review. The staff is great, the food is incredible, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're at home. I look forward to coming back here. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Cheers to everyone!
Probably my favourite place to eat in all of Monterey. Such a quaint, intimate place with amazing customer service and even more delicious food. Hearty ingredients, filling portions. Made with the same love your mom or granda would have put into it :) I regularly get the salmon pizza: refreshing, light, and just the right balance of yummy. I also recent had the lamb chops--talk about savory and satisfying!!! and you HAVE to leave room for dessert. Seriously. If you pass up on it, you will regret it!!!!! My personal favourite is the olallieberry pie, but their cobbler cookies are also amazeballz! Anyway, smaller parties are better, but they have a few tables for larger groups, though I definitely recommend calling in a reservation for that well in advance.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Time We had a fantastic time at the Red House Cafe. Every dish we ordered was delicious, fresh, and warm. Try the crab cakes, as they are some of the best we’ve had in Monterey. We went at around 5 PM on a Thursday in the summer, and by the time we left (Around 6-6:30), it was definitely getting busy. Don’t be deceived by the small size, as the cafe absolutely has a dinner rush. The atmosphere is really charming—I think it’s a house that’s been made over. It’s cute and quaint and lovely. Our server was great and recommended a lot of good food for us to try. The dishes came fast despite the dinner rush, and while the chocolate cake was a bit too sweet, it was presented beautifully. Be warned, though—and this is not the cafe’s (which I want to clarify, the name says cafe, but it’s a nice sit-down restaurant) fault, but on Google Maps, it lists the weekdays time as 8 am to 9 pm, but the restaurant closes from 3-5 PM. I think they do serve some small bites during this time, but it’s very limited compared to its generally large menu. Either way, we will definitely be back!
What a cute, cozy place for breakfast! The berries on my husband's granola were plump and beautiful. I had the delicious salmon served on a potato pancake, a new take on a breakfast staple. The wait staff was kind and personable. The fire in the fireplace was a thoughtful touch on a cool morning. We enjoyed our time there so much!
No one will be dissatisfied. The food had great flavor, the atmosphere was very friendly, and the restaurant owner was very kind. You can experience peace, intimacy, and deliciousness all at the same time.
I have to start out by saying this is to my go to restaurant when I go to Pacific Grove. I always make it a point to stop here and they never disappoint me. Everything is very fresh, made from scratch, and they can accommodate my dietary restriction of no onions and garlic. The atmosphere is fine. It’s in a house. The service is always very friendly and prompt, and they are always very crowded because everyone knows that such a good place to go to! My friend have a turkey sandwich on the brioche bread and she said it was delicious! I had a vegetarian option. I decided to go for the mozzarella and tomato sandwich on the brioche bread. It had a drizzle of balsamic on top. I had to get it without the grilled onions (which look amazing)and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant just give yourself a little time to wait for your table which moves pretty fast, but maybe 20 minutes if it is busy . Depending on the weather they have outside seating with heaters but I really like to sit indoors. They also have an indoor fireplace that makes it very pleasant and cool days.
Great service and quality food. Very attentive staff. Cinnamon brioche French toast is so yummy, definitely want to come back for more.
Our server, Jesus, was top-notch. Great server, friendly, polite, and willing to engage or disengage as the situation called for. Other staff were very kind to our dog, which is always appreciated. I would have given five stars just for the service but the food was excellent. We both crushed our meals. The vegetables perfectly complimented the main courses. We had a chicken parm and a tomato and cheese. It was more than we should have eaten but we somehow managed. The inside and upper patio looked very quaint. We sat at the dog friendly patio, which appeared to be a pandemic era street addition. Thankfully the street is very chill and they had a heater for when the breexe picked up. Prices were reasonable, but we added a bottle of wine upping our per person total.
cozy cottage atmosphere with multiple outdoor seating areas in addition to inside (w a burning fireplace before it got too warm). We had breakfast dishes that were tasty and a special of mushroom soup-the most tasty soup. Several staff interacted with us - all very friendly. We will return. They also have a wine tasting time window in the afternoon now.
Cool little place in a good location with great food! I had the Chorizo and Eggs for Brunch and my Fiance had the Lobster Benedict special. Both were awesome! I loved the patio seating because it was sunny, but there was such a nice breeze. Even though it was busy for mother's day we still got in pretty quick. Definitely returning.
New Year’s Day is a big day! Got right in, had seating for 8! Food came out quickly and all together, staff was on top of making room as food got finished. New fun option to pay via QR code also makes it quick and easy to pay your bill without having to wait for staff. Overall the food was delicious. Will come back.
We had a very pleasant experience while having breakfast at Red House Cafe. I love my eggs to be poached properly; they were able to serve them exactly the way I like. My wife had very nice, fluffy pancakes. Overall, the place is so cute, and the service was amazing. Next time, however, I would order a regular refill filter coffee instead of the latte, but it only means that I am planning to come again.
Could not ask for anything better during covid. Molly was the greatest sever ever. She made us all feel welcome and made sure what we ordered was what we got. There was 10 of us. Food came out together and hot. "So hard to do when sitting outside " Totally yummy. OJ is the boom!! Don't walk run to the red house and hope Molly is there to help you..
Located in a cute, name-giving red house, this cafe is a great place for breakfast or brunch. Enjoy classic dishes, such as fluffy pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausages, fresh fruit, granola, etc. Service was fast and friendly. The place is popular so expect to wait in line as you can't make reservations.
A must-go if you are in the area. Went with some friends for breakfast and it was DELICIOUS! I had the special of the day, Huevos Rancheros, and they were definitely the best ones I have ever tried. The price is right for the portions. We sat outside (they have heaters out there), I didn't pay attention if they had indoor seating or not. Service was also great. Five stars all around.
Diamond quality - the venue is adorable, the staff members are very attentive, and the food was fantastic. The mocha I ordered was perfectly balanced and the Crab Cake Benedict was so good - I had to resist the urge to lick the plate. Our table also ordered the Chicken sandwich - which was also excellent and refreshing. No complaints here. Just full tummies. :)
This was our 2nd visit to this cute cafe. I really like the quaintness of the cafe being in an older home. We sat outside since we have a dog. Plenty of patio seating for smaller groups.
Five girls on a girls trip to Carmel by the Sea. This restaurant was recommended to us by a waiter in another restaurant. It’s about a 20 minute drive from Carmel, but so worth the drive. We’ve eaten there twice now. Best breakfast place we’ve found. Excellent food, excellent service, quaint house. We’ll go back again next year.
We split a field greens salad and crab cakes. The salad was quite good, but the crab cakes were excellent! They were possibly the best we’ve ever had. They had more meat than binder and the blend of spices/herbs was perfect, enhancing the flavor and not overwhelming it, and they were cooked perfectly. Perfect!
Just had a late breakfast here and it was absolutely wonderful! Very cute café with friendly staff, I had the French toast and a cappuccino, absolutely delicious. Hubby had the chorizo con huevos and coffee, also delicious. Food came out quick and everything was great. Definitely recommend having this on your breakfast spot list!
This is the best cafe! Staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing! Best calamari I've EVER had! (And I've had my share!!) Highly, highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just for desert! Out door seating was fabulous! They even brought little cups of water for my pups while we dined outside. A must visit in Pacific Grove!
Red House Cafe 🏠 is a great little restaurant 😋 Nice selection of menu items 👌 sandwiches 🥪, salads 🥗, entrees 🍽 , I loved the french fries 🍟 😋 👌 The burger 🍔 and calamari sandwiches were delicious 😋. Very helpful and courteous staff 👍🤗 Street parking available. Indoor and outdoor seating 💺 is available. You know it's good ,when it's supported by the locals! 👍👌 Give them a try 😉
Red House Cafe — Great Breakfast Spot We had a wonderful breakfast here. The dishes were simple but made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors were excellent. The smoked salmon with poached eggs was especially good, and the sandwich was well-balanced and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. The table was a bit dirty at first, but with how busy and popular the cafe is, it’s understandable and didn’t spoil the overall experience. Cozy place with delicious food — definitely recommend.
There’s something about a cozy café that feels like a love story waiting to happen — the kind that starts with the smell of espresso and ends with a champagne buzz. Red House Café in Pacific Grove is exactly that kind of place — quaint, charming, and disarmingly sweet, like the friend who always insists on splitting dessert. I ordered the crab cake Benedict, expecting fireworks, but it landed somewhere between “almost there” and “needs a little salt and sass.” The buttermilk pancakes, however, were soft, fluffy clouds of comfort — though this girl likes her clouds with a hint of sugar and a little more flirtation. Still, the portions were generous enough to make my heart (and my brunch appetite) happy. The real star? The atmosphere — that effortless California charm wrapped in warmth and the faint hum of laughter. And let’s not forget the mimosa menu, which read like a dream sequence. I went with guava, because when in Pacific Grove, why not channel your inner tropical goddess? Top-tier service, cozy ambiance, and mimosas that make you forget about your inbox — it’s safe to say I’d come back. Maybe next time I’ll bring my own seasoning…
The Red House Cafe is an adorable place with great food in Monterey/Pacific Grove! The interior is cozy and cute (almost like a movie/tv show set), the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. The produce is locally grown in nearby Watsonville. We ate here for dinner and went back the next morning for breakfast! Don't forget to order a piece of pie too!
We had such a wonderful experience at Red House Cafe! We ordered pancakes, hot chocolate, the Red House frittata, and the portobello mushroom dish. Everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and left us happily full. A special shoutout to our server, who was so kind and attentive. He patiently explained every dish, ensured everything was vegetarian for us, and made us feel completely comfortable. As Indians, we had quite a few questions about the menu, but the staff’s hospitality and thoughtfulness truly stood out. The cafe itself has a cute, cozy ambience and makes for a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Definitely a must visit place, both for the food and the amazing service….!!
I’m sitting here looking over the menu, the atmosphere is delightful, music is comfortable and right volume. My attendance was well taken care of from the moment I was received at the door. Ordered a delicious cappuccino, two eggs my way, baguette slices and french toast (strawberries, whip cream and syrup) but what stands out the most is the home made salsa that came with the eggs. As soon as I as I got a whiff of it, it sent me back 45 years to being a child and the same salsa is what I would have at our breakfast table with my family. Mother’s home made salsa, the same salsa my grandmother made and showed my mother how to make. Thank you to This Little Red House Cafe for my time travel back.
Food was good! Everyone enjoyed their order. They were all well priced and the serving portions were very fair. They serve good brunch! :) The service was great. There was a bit of a wait to be seated so maybe call to get a reservation but there wasn't any problem for us at all. Ambiance is cute, homey, and dainty. Overall, good experience! :) would recommend going (+ the area is nice for a pleasant stroll)
Amazing one!!! Highly recommended restaurant for a quality breakfast and they serves with clean and quality food. Especially the mimosas and pancake, fresh juices are awesome 👏 Amazing service and ambiance is just a house but very decent one . Inside and outside too. Common area parking
We found this little gem of a restaurant online and booked a reservation for a Saturday dinner. Prices are higher than the menu on Google, but the meal was fantastic and worth it. The atmosphere is cozy, adorable! We started with the most tender fried calamari steak and a huge green salad with beets, goat cheese, fresh corn, and sweet dressing. The grilled lamb chops and NY strip steak with mashed potatoes and a green bean and mushroom medley were also delicious. A piece of warm strawberry rhubarb pie with whipped cream and berries was the perfect ending. We returned the next day to take out cinnamon brioche French toast and bacon. Service was outstanding. Can’t wait to return!
Our brunch at Red House Cafe was nothing short of exceptional! We were charmed by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The service was outstanding! Our server was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to help us find the perfect meal. I had the Traditional Ham Benedict, which was served on a buttery croissant with a house-made hollandaise sauce that was silky, rich, and delicious. The crispy potatoes on the side were the perfect complement. My wife, who has dietary restrictions, was delighted with the gluten-free and dairy-free option recommended by our server. She had Smoked Salmon on a Potato Pancake. She added a perfectly poached egg. She said it was one of the most delicious brunch dishes she’s had in years! The server mentioned they have oat milk for espresso drinks, so we added a delicious oat milk mocha, which was the perfect treat to share. We can't recommend Red House Cafe enough! We'll definitely be back!

I don’t feel that our waiter had good customer service skills. When I told him what I wanted, I asked if there was an extra charge for egg whites only. He said no, so I said “Egg whites only“ and then he asked “Anything else?”without giving me my choices of meats, toast or pancakes, etc. So I had to prompt him on that. And then a waitress came by and told me that I was only going to get two chicken apple sausages rather than three, but I only ended up getting one.
Lavazza coffee, pineapple mimosa, eggs benedict, berries n brioche is what was ordered, all delicious. Their sourdough is off tho, not a favorite, too fluffy and blah flavor. Service was top notch, very friendly staff. I love sitting near the walk way to see everyone walking their doggies too. ❤️ I would return for breakfast but not lunch. There wasn't a single lunch menu item I cared to try.
This isn't the best restaurant but also not the worst. The food was probably the best I've ever ate. The service wasn't great, a waiter kept spilling liqid on me. The atmosphere was not the cleanest.
The service was warm and friendly, food wasn't bad. The first table we were seated at was in the section with the bathroom and there was a strong urine smell, which nobody else seemed to be bothered by. Relocated by the front door, which was much better. Also found a blonde hair in the olive tapenade that was served with the bread... but the rest of the experience was fine.
Good spot! The Crabs Bene was on a croissant which I liked because it’s a bit lighter then your usual English muffin. Crab cake patties a little bland but I still enjoyed my meal. My husband thought the pancakes were too fluffy and just tasting different then what he was used to. They were busy but our wait on a Saturday was 15 mins so not too bad. Nice staff, great little patio to dine out front, overall not a bad spot!
My wife loved her portobello mushroom sandwich. She ordered a latte and they brought out an iced latte so she had to send it back to get it fixed. I had a steak frites. I asked for medium rare but the steak was room temperature and it was underdone (part was still blue). I found the fries to be too salty. I ordered an iced tea but they never brought it. Was nice to sit on the porch and watch the world go by.
Cute spot. Gluten Free bread allows your to switch stuff in and out, but certainly not a great place for any serious gluten allergies. Super yummy, extra spicy chai! Staff were rushed and didn't seen confident and knowledgable when asked about the menu. Really cute interior, homestyle vibe.
Cozy comforting and charming cafe in downtown Pacific Grove Ca. We put the food squarely into the reliably tasty and filling category. We favor Calamari steak on a salad. Always perfectly cooked with a crisp breaded exterior and tender interior, served with chipotle mayo and salad mix with a few extras. Enjoyed with a frosty IPA or iced tea, this is a filling and nearly healthy lunch😉 This is a bustling busy place and often requires a short wait. Get yourself on the “list” as soon as you arrive. Be aware—- this is in an old house and one small bathroom serves many patrons who line up in the middle of the main room. This is sometimes awkward and annoying.
Had a nice brunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We were walking by when we noticed a line of people waiting to get seated. That's always a good sign so we put our names down for a table for two outside on their parklet. We only had to wait about 20 minutes for our table and were greeted almost immediately by our waiter. We ordered the salmon and potato pancake with a poached egg, a half order of their cinnamon brioche french toast and a half bowl of mixed fruit. Everything was delicious. We were extremely pleased with our meal. Extra points for their fresh orange juice and flavorful coffee. Service was also attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch.
They were busy and there was a line but they were able to seat us pretty quickly. The chilaquiles were basic and my partner thought the sauce was on the sweet side. The eggs were pretty good. The crab cake eggs benedict was also pretty mid. The eggs were poached perfectly but the hollandaise sauce wasn't as creamy as I preferred, but the crab cake was good! I requested for it to be on a baguette rather than a croissant. The pancake was the main star. It was soooooo fluffy and delicious! I would definitely come back for them they were an 11/10. Sa7tein!
I had the Smoked Salmon on a Potato Pancake and it was great. My wife got the country breakfast. For drinks we got an Americano and latte. We ordered a bowl of fruit for our one year old. Inside is charming but cramped. The food was great but the bill after tip was about $80 so be ready for that.
I ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was by far the best part of my meal. It was huge, more of a chocolate soup, served in a bowl and meant to be drunk with a spoon. It was delicious, with a subtle creamy and cinnamon flavor and a clod of cold cream floating around. The sandwich was served with a pasta salad, which was forgettable but to be honest I don't care much for pasta salads in general. The sandwich itself was very good, with a mild flavor but interesting balance of sweet and tangy tastes. The bread was amazing as well. In fact I didn't even realize that they'd accidentally served me the eggplant sandwich (it was pretty similar) until I was almost done and they brought my actual sandwich to someone else -- they ended up giving me the original one, so I got a free sandwich, so hey no biggie :). The service was rather slow, but there were a ton of people and only two waiters. My waiter seemed a bit flustered but was very kind. The menu was smaller than I would expect but there was a good variety of offerings. I would probably return to check out the breakfast menu. The space itself is a very cute little house with a spacious patio. Eat outside if you can as it's a bit cramped inside.

While the food was good, you need to be prepared for sticker shock. If you looked at their menu online, the prices are SIGNIFICANTLY higher once you're there. This seemed like bait and switch to us…

Very good selection of traditional American based cuisine. The name cafe under values the class of this lovely little treasure on Lighthouse Avenue. We have dined here before and as before we truly…
My wife and I along with another couple were in Pacific Grove for a few days at the Gosby House Inn and had dinner at the Red House cafe one evening. Here are the pros and cons of our meal: Pros:…
The restaurant has a cute atmosphere, but the service was quite slow and our water was never refilled. The food was okay overall, but it wasn’t memorable enough for me to recommend the place.
Breakfast is great but not dinner. Our chicken was kinda burned on the ends. Waitress never came and ask if everything ok.
Unfortunately I must say goodbye to the little red house. Today i got yolk at the bottom of my salsa. My eggs were not broken. Hence a transfer from someone elses plate.
Had pie and coffee. Had to ask the staff for refills of coffee. Since I dined alone didn’t feel the staff was interested in paying too much attention unless requested. Very small inside probably nice for girls day out or a date. Had the apricot pie it was definitely made with fresh fruit. I am glad I didn’t chip a tooth or choke on the apricot pit found inside. I laughed off the experience but the staff didn’t apologize or offer the pie nor coffee on the house. It was unpleasant but nice to know the pies are made with integrity. Chances are low I will return but not impossible. I am a local.
The food was okay, but the service kind of took away from the experience. Our waiter didn’t seem very enthusiastic, and everything felt rushed. Only one person really seemed happy to be there, while the rest of the staff came across pretty unwelcoming. Even when we tried to be friendly, the overall vibe felt like they didn’t want to be there, which made the experience less enjoyable.
I went there for a cup of coffee and dessert. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was the worst I’ve had in a long time. The cheesecake was alright. The staff didn’t check in to see if I liked my coffee, and it also took some time to pay. On the positive side, the place itself was beautiful and had a charming, historic feel.
The food was ok and some better than average. The service the above average with a smile. The place is a nice old house converted into a restaurant. The prices are fair a little on the lower side c…

The house is a nice atmosphere. The staff were very attentive. I had the eggs Benedict and it was average. My wife had the pancakes and they were acceptable.
we used to come here for brunch years ago and it was good, but currently, dinner options are garbage. possibly one of the worst burgers I've had on the peninsula. the burger was assembled as follows: bottom bun, mayonnaise, lettuce, meat, cheese, tomato, mayonnaise, and top bun. an absolutely unhinged order of ingredients, to the point that it feels like the person who made this burger has never eaten a burger before. first off, sandwiching everything between to mayo-slathered buns is just asking for the burger to fall apart, which it did the entire time. bottom bun should be left dry, with the meat placed directly on top, to keep the meat from moving. also, who the heck sells a burger without other condiments other than mayo??? plus, the outer crust of the brioche bun completely flaked off after one bite. there's no pickles anywhere, and, as a bigger insult, the burger comes paired with the soggiest salad this side of david avenue, fries aren't even available here. this burger is so bad it should be taken off the menu. the waitstaff is good tho.
There were tons of flies and the old style “decor” was falling apart. The bread I had on my sandwich was stale. The wife and I got two sandwiches and waited almost 30 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant.
Food was okay, UNTIL we saw one cockroach run across the floor. We proceeded to try and contact our server to let him know but once he passed by he never came back. We then proceeded to see a cockroach on the wall behind my friends head, we were forced to kill it with a napkin and left it in the table for our server to see.
Do not come here if you expect your steak cooked the way you ordered. Come here if you want to experience what steak tastes like after being incinerated. I ordered medium. What I got looked—and chewed—like a leather shoe that survived a house fire. I politely sent it back, thinking maybe it was a one-time mistake. Nope. They doubled down. The second steak came back just as dead. At this point I wasn’t sure if they don’t know what “medium” means, or if the chef just takes personal preference to pink meat. This photo? Yep, this is what they call” medium rare” I let the judge to restaurant!
I had such high hopes for this place based on the reviews. I got just two basic pancakes and an apple juice and paid $25. I probably wouldn't have minded so much had the pancakes not been hard and rubbery. Usually, I can cut through a pancake with just a fork, but the butter knife couldn't even cut all the way through these. I had to basically rip off the parts I did eat which wasn't much.
Place was extremely dirty and worn down. Peeling paint lots of dust and grime. When we sat down the server wiped food bits onto my lap. The water cups looked unwashed and came with lipstick on two cups and dried onion bits. We asked for replacement cups and it still had lipstick. It appears basic hygiene standards are nonexistent, the health inspector should pay a visit. Food is mediocre for the price. I pray I don’t get food poisoning from here.
