Located right on end of pier, it was a welcoming place for hot chocolate and a cup of chowder. Many coffee choices and an interesting menu, plus bait!
I came here today for breakfast, I ordered a cup of coffee and a lemon bar! Service was amazing! I order the White chocolate mocha and it came out super hot, exactly how I like it! Lemon bar was perfect and it was so good, I wanted to order another! The Asian lady with glasses was super sweet, definitely coming back!!
They usually have a vegan soup or can put together an avocado toast. Compostable everything.
5 Stars — Tyler Understands the Assignment by Gracie, the Goodest Gorl First of all, let’s be clear: I didn’t *choose* to be this cute. It’s a burden I carry daily. Luckily, Tyler at Chit Chat Café *gets it*. The moment I strutted in, Tyler was ON IT — immediate eye contact, full attention, proper admiration. He even asked the most important question of our time: "Why is Gracie so cute?" THEN — as if that wasn’t enough — he busted out a TREAT. No paperwork, no waiting in line. Just straight to the good stuff. AND he called me a good girl. (I am. Thank you for noticing.) But the real MVP moment? Tyler *respected the sacred Cheese Tax.* When my human’s food arrived, Tyler didn’t even blink — just made sure I got my fair share. Royal treatment, baby. If Tyler ever runs for President, he already has my vote. (And my paw print.) **P.S.** Tell Tyler I’m available for future cheese consultations.
A quaint little cafe perched on the Pacifica Pier, the Chit Chat Cafe is always a fun place to stop into. They serve an incredible London Fog latte, and the baristas are always friendly!
The coffee was made well and the espresso was fine. A very nice, community driven spot as you see fisherman's catches on the walls of the cafe. I enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee prior to going to the local library. It's practically on the pier and it's fine to people watch the fisherman as they hoist their rods into the ocean and such. They even sell bait.
My family and I stayed in a rental house right near the Chit Chat Cafe and walked over every morning for our morning coffee. When we made a grocery run for snacks, we considered getting coffee to make in our rental. We unanimously agreed we'd much rather walk over to the Chit Chat Cafe every morning haha Their brewed drip coffee is great for those who prefer regular coffee in the morning (a lot of the VRBO reviews for our house had mentioned how surprisingly good their coffee is lol). Their lattes are also delicious! Try their B&W latte! Great food options as well. We enjoyed their bagels and pastries for breakfast and were so surprised by how good their sandwiches are for lunch. Their sandwiches are large! Get the pulled pork sandwich. You'll smell them cooking the pork outside as you walk up and that's all you need to know that it's going to be delicious! Thanks for being so nice and being a wonderful part of our Spring Break vacation :)
Very low prices, excellent location, quick service
Great food carefully prepared by friendly locals. This is the real deal! Feel like you're part of a Hopper painting. Feel like you're part of the ocean. And feel that connection to every small coffee shop in America.
A great location to fish off the pier but an even better thing is to just come down here for a very hot mocha or latte. The food is very good. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this for your next stop when in Pacifica.
If you are going fishing this is a nice place to get a good hot coffee or drink for the cold morning. Good price and great taste. Also owner is friendly person. Next time will try their sandwiches. Also they sell bait if you need for fishing
I have visited pacifica before but never to this chit chat cafe, it was super cool! It's right on the pier the owners are super nice, coffee is 👍 food is decent and you can smell the ocean! To help support them I bought one of their sweatshirts, The sweatshirt was a little pricey but it was worth it!
Best place to come in the morning, evening, and afternoon, restrooms are public (so they aren't clean em often), but the grill on weekends has so much to offer: corn on the cob, rib eye steak sandwich, cheeseburgers yum! The inside is adorable and cozy with classical music playing constantly, while u can watch the waves crash against the pier and say hi to the whales and fisherman ! Also dogs are welcome w/ free dog treats! What's not to love
I've had a lot of different coffee from Pacifica and so far this has to be my new favorite spot. The staff was nice and the coffee was amazing! Looking forward to trying more items from Chit Chat Cafe.
I love the little cafe on the pier. It's a bit worn out but they have tasty cake and hot drinks and great views.
Dog friendly! Addie and I loved walking across the beach from Mori Point and finished up at Chit Chat with a puppaccino and a latte. Super friendly baristas and cute shop. Quite a few food options and plenty of beverage options. If Addie had thumbs, she’d give chit chat 2 thumbs up.
Great coffee and super cool location! Perfect if you want to go on a little ocean walk with your coffee :)
Great little shop with some lovely date, inexpensive, prompt and homey (also is a bait shop). Lovely spot to watch the surf and get a bagel
Amazing place. I typically get latte there after a nice ocean walk. The owner is super cool and I am glad they are putting all the effort to make this place so nice!
Quaint coffee shop located steps away from the beach. Definitely a place to stop if you’re wanting a good hot cup of coffee and fresh bagel. They do have muffins and breakfast sandwiches and lunch too. We chose the coffee and bagel. Bagel was crunchy on the outside soft inside toasted to perfection with plenty of cream cheese. Patrons sitting reading books and on their laptops. Friendly young lady waited on us and service was quick. Books stack the shelves and board games available to play.
It was rustic and raw, just like i like it, and being on a pier automatically wins regardless of the food or service... but, it didn't need to stand alone. I got the chai latte... added a massive shake of cacao and cinnamon and wow wow wow! Almost sent me to an imaginary place... wait.. this place was magical! The lady there was fantastic, and there was another patron drawing or writing... the perfect place for that! A guy came in asking for a chocolate chip cookie like a little boy... and the radio was playing 90's hits and making me nostalgic of my summers living at the beach! The avocado was so fresh and creamy delicious! The whole vibe of the town was just nice and chill... almost wish i had more time to go back. Perhaps another time
Nice people and delicious treats. By far the coolest location on the coast with all the best views, from whales to waves. This place is old school and down to earth.
I came here not really knowing what to expect. I'm really glad that I came here. I got a Dan's Special (I think that's what it was called, it has cinnamon and is super tasty) and sat on a stool next to a window overlooking the ocean. It wasn't very crowded which was nice. They also have breakfast foods. I hung out there for a very long time just relaxing, sketching and sipping my coffee. I took a walk on the pier that the cafe sits at the end of. I highly recommend this cafe.
This place is reopened now. Coffee is delicious. Sandwiches are available. The area is spectacular especially in the morning. It is best in the morning because the human created noise is still low; therefore, you can hear clearly and enjoy the wounderful sounds of nature. Finally, if you train your brain to listen to the sounds of nature; eventually, you will discover a whole new world. Recomend to do it with a cup of coffee. Parking in the area is limited.
Great little cafe at start of the pier. Bagel breakfast sandwiches and coffee available. Snacks, other drinks and fishing gear sold here as well! All seats have great views!
Surprise an extremely good Cafe here. The owner is very friendly and the rock music fits the vibe very well. I ordered a medium late with donut, which was very delicious.
Great coffee here and friendly service. This is right on the pier and is right off the walking path near the water.

A cozy cafe on the edge of Pacifica Pier. Funky but delightful. Fine coffee, delicious sandwiches, seasoned staff, a view of crashing waves, and a stroll down the pier for dessert. Doesn't get any more poetic.

Super cute inside and outside. On the beach. On the pier. Super delicious coffees. Beach walks. Daytime fun!. Sunset Glory. You can't go wrong with visiting Chit Chat Cafe in Pacifica on the pier. Bring your family. Bring a friend. Bring your pets. Bring yourself. Take it all in and enjoy life. Christina, and the rest of the crew will treat you right! Chit Chat Cafe , on Pacifica Pier, in Pacifica, California.
A nice, open and airy feel with a great ocean view! It's a welcoming atmosphere to sip a warm cup of whatever you fancy while reading a book or newspaper. Their sandwiches are simple but tasty. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There's live music on the weekend mornings which ends around noon if you're not into that. One of my favorite coffee houses in Pacifica!
Cafe In a Lovely Spot for Ocean View & Enjoy Hot/Cold Drink while walking lol boardwalk. Barista having bad day, looked irritated help.
So cute by the pier! Very sweet staff. Def a must stop by! Mom even spilled her coffee and they were extremely sweet about it. Appreciate such kindness 💛
A cafe on the Pacifica pier will always be cozy to me no matter the fog and cold outside! The location makes it super convenient to enjoy a hot drink or a bowl of clam chowder while walking the pier. I like the quirky decorations and to me this represents what a local coffee shop should feel like! Shout out to the owners, Ginger & Brandon!
Just went you thought the Chit Chat couldn’t get any better…you add a pier! Wonderful oceanfront location. Lovely food and drinks and the nicest people. The best way to spend an afternoon.

I always like to stop in and get some coffee and hope they have some clam chowder. The service is always friendly.
The prices are actually surprisingly cheap. I got a London Fog and my friend got a Matcha Latte. I’d say it was okay but they have a plate of deserts where you get to try for free too.
It's a small mom and pop run cafe that has everything from coffee to fishing supplies. It sits at the entrance of the Pacifica Municipal Pier so you can't miss it. You can grab a coffee, bagel, and donut to enjoy the ocean breeze. There are tables and bar stools to sit on inside but no outdoor seating. The restrooms are actually on the outside of the building and open to the public. You can also buy fishing and crabbing supplies here such as frozen bait (squid, mackerel, sardines, ghost shrimp, etc.) and even a full crabbing starter kit (crab pot with rope, bait cage, and measuring guide). There is street parking in the neighborhood and adjacent parking lots across the street but please read any posted signs restricting parking. There are some reserved parking spaces, disabled parking spots, and limited time parking.
A great cafe joint to enjoy a strong coffee with a very scenic view from inside. Really loved the barista taking extra care to make the coffee just right as per the required taste… enjoy the sunset here on a chilly Winter evening… timings are from 7:30 am to 5 pm
Great place to come on a stormy day to see big waves smashing rocks & spraying water
I usually stop by here to grab some food and it's great. Today the guy behind the counter was too lazy to make a hamburger when me and my friend stopped in here 32 min before closing. He claimed it had been too windy to grill burgers, then also agreed with me when I said that it was not windy outside.

We came into the store with 10 minutes to closing time and were told by the Barista to wait and they would take our orders. 5 minutes later a woman showed up and said no more orders. She proceeded to swear at the people behind us as they came in. I understand closing time, but this was really poor service. Close the door, flip the Open sign or let people know when they come in. Don't let people wait and then swear because they were ready to spend money in your Cafe.
Poor service. Lady working there was rude. She made me a drink and I asked for syrup which she heavily poured. I said it was way too sweet and instead of remaking the drink she poured out half and filled it with hot water which then made the drink taste like watered down syrup instead of a matcha latte. I honeslty didn’t even ask for a refund and ended up wasting 8 dollars because I tipped 😑. Do better.
