Very friendly customer service and very helpful with deciding what sauces to choose for the fries. The food was made very fast and they announce that your order is ready while you enjoy the outside dining. The burger itself was very good and juicy. The fries were nice and crispy, and certainly good with the spicy mayo. Would definitely recommend going here.

The burgers are really good and same with the fries. Whenever I come to 9W I always get a burger. Love the smell that it gives off. The staff are super nice also. Everything gets a 10/10!!

Staff is always very friendly, food is delicious. Only issues I have is parking is limited especially during the weekends when motorcycles sometimes make it very difficult to back out of your space, there is an extra parking area a little down the road if the lot is full but you have to walk along 9W and there is no sidewalk so be careful. Better to go to during the week if you can more parking and way less crowded

This place is excellent the hamburgers is out of this world the french fries crazy. Lot of parking in the back and if you go down 50 feet is more parking. Next to this place same owners is 9W Market the food in this place is awesome too little expensive but you pay what you get for. The pastries is homemade. I had their maple glazed bacon delicious. The salmon is incredible. Sometimes is very crowded. But in the back there is a dining area. So I ate in both places and I get both places are five star rating on their food

I like it. It is not spot for fancy expectations. If you love the clean air, cool wind and the smell of forest this is a nice spot to go. Cyclist stop here to rest and refill so keep that in mind if you are coming alone or with company. The food is nice and you will be served as ordered. Due to the nature of the culture (sport people coming all day) is straight forward. Take a time to look at the menu before getting in line, there could be a really thirty, hungry and tire cyclist behind you, be kind and be one step ahead. Blessings

This is a must stop if you’re in the area. Outdoor burger and fry area is amazing and the inside upscale deli is a perfect compliment. All baked good are made in house and the overall vibe is perfect for the setting.

One the best burgers I’ve ever tasted, and great fries too. I ride my bike about 16 miles to get here so I can burn enough calories to eat a cheeseburger with grilled onions guilt free. You won’t be disappointed.

Prettty good food but ridiculous prices for very small portions! Service was not the best either the young girl at the counter was slow and seemed distracted. The portions were timy and very disappointing to say the least !!! But i did take out and didn't realize till I got to my destination and opened the bag...I was shocked as were my friends. This is my go-to spot when heading home from the city or hiking the long trail from Tallman State Park. The "Pile Up" is the best smash burger I've had to date. Fast service and ahout out to the dudes behind the grill. Cheers boys!

I pass by this place twice a week. today I finally decided to stop in a check it out. I walk up to the counter and am looking over the menu. the gentleman (Vinny) welcomes me and I tell him.ive never been there before. He then proceeds to explain the menu and everything about the place. I place my order and am given a pager. Matthew is cooking my meal and as soon as it's done hands it to me with a smile. I go next door to eat inside. (there is outdoor or indoor seating). The burger was delicious! After I eat I go back and tell them how much I enjoyed it. They thanked me and smiled the whole time. this is now one of my favorite spots. great food. friendly staff that make you feel welcome. If you are in the area you MUST check out out!

It's a little pricey, but the quality of the food and atmosphere is worth it. They use buns with tons of sesame seeds on it, and some coarse salt on their French fries. The burgers are nice and juicy. They also served beer which was a fantastic combination.

Super cool place with great burgers, fries, beers, and ice cream! There's a market attached with bakery items, coffees, etc. and a fresh meat selection (think bratwurst, etc) so you can pretty much get allll the things here. It's quite popular with motorcyclists/cyclists, so the front strip is for their parking, back strip is for cars.

Amazing burgers! On the way up to ski country a perfect stop. I grabbed a burger and onion rings and these were delicious and kept me fortified for the 7 hour drive. The burgers and buns are so fresh! ( Have to confess, while I know this may seem excessive our Golden Doodle, Tucker would not leave me alone with my burger so actually went in and bought a second burger, they were so good and gave Tucker half!) Also, the gentleman taking our order went above and beyond bringing our order to the car. There is also a bakery attached which had the best chocolate cup cakes. A real find!

The place to go to feed your body and soul, it looks amazing no matter the weather and the Burguer is extremely delicious (I got the Overhaul). The fries are big enough for two. My friends got the Beyond (vegan) and the TFS and loved it too!

The filling station is an apt name for this place as bikers, hikers, and other outdoorsmen and women can come here to fill up after they have depleted everything they had. I come here after work because my commute passes through this restaurant. However, I am reviewing now because this restaurant gave me all the fuel I needed after my 7 hour hike. I had the TFS burger and it was what I needed. They serve craft beers too which was needed too. Afterwards, I took a Uber home as I could not do another 7 hour hike back.

Best burger in Rockland County. I've tried everything on the menu over the years and I've never been disappointed. Parking lot fills up on weekends when the weather is nice, but then you can just find parking along the road or the hiker's lot nearby

A chance stop on the way to Newark airport from Upstate New York. Really tasty burgers with a variety of cheeses, generous portions of delicious fries, and Mexican coke to boot. I had always rode past this place during my bike rides, and today I finally decided to stop at it. The burgers are amazing! The baked goods right next door are also delicious. The service was also great; nice, respectful and courteous. The cafe area has a cozy feel to it. I was here for about 40 mins and during that time I saw staff pass around cleaning up about 3 times, and that was awesome! Definitely recommend this place to stop for cappuccino, baked goods or food.

I recently visited Filling Station * Burger Works, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The menu had an impressive variety of mouthwatering burger options, and I decided to try their signature "OVERHAUL" Burger with Large Onion Rings - and boy, was I blown away! The patty was juicy and perfectly cooked, while the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Each bite was a burst of awesome ! Burger Enthusiast Heaven 🍔😋

Lovely food. I forgot to check my order before leaving and missed an item that day. The following day, I went to get some donuts and mentioned this to the register. They were so kind and gave me the whole order free of charge. I was surprised when the chef brought me the order because I was expecting only the item I didn't receive the day before. Such a heartwarming experience... The food there is healthy and yummy 😋 The ambience is excellent for a group or even a few people. I enjoyed many meals at this venue.

Went there with my family. My wife loves hamburgers, and this place delivered. Very happy. The fries (both sweet potato and regular) are one of the best we've ever had. Crispy and yummy but not greasy. It certainly shows their commitment to fresh and qualify ingredients. A nice outdoor beer garden to top. Talking about beer, their American craft beer selection (bottles only) is OK but I would love to see German imports on tap.

If your in the mood for a really good burger you need to try TFS (The Filling Station) on Rt 9W, Palisades. I had the TFS Burger (bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms). Other than being a little salty for me, it was VERY good. Would definitely stop in again!

We always really enjoy coming here for a burger and fries! We usually get the Kobe burger but they have many different options. The fries are always nice and crispy with a good sprinkle of salt, so good! We enjoy sitting outside at the tables if it isn’t too busy. It’s nice you can stop next door for a sweet treat. They also have ice cream, beer, and wine! This place can really get packed sometimes and parking can be tight but usually doable. Make sure you watch out for the bikers! You really can’t go wrong stopping here for a quick bite to eat.

The food was really good well prepared and tasty. the condiments were not as varied. So you order a very fancy burger in you get very little to put on the burger to flavour it just tomato ketchup and mustard that's it. We tried some very expensive burgers and they were delicious remarkably flavours before we also tried the flavoured French Fries which were delicious as well and we had the sweet potato fries which were very delicious I would highly recommend eating here. Pies and cookies were also purchased and quickly devoured. Must visit again.

A perfect pit stop for cyclists and motor riders. Great for the family as well. Burgers are top notch; juicy and flavorful with a variety of choices to add on. Don’t expect anything from the exterior; imagine back to your younger self at the pool and grabbing a quick burger after a nice swim. Probably one of the best burgers you can have but this takes the cake on that experience anyday or time. Some reviews complain about bees; they’re not wrong but you can still enjoy the food away from the tables. (Note to staff: maybe buy some bee repellents for next summer). Everything is made upon order and luckily isn’t a long wait. I always ride here specifically for the burgers and will continue doing so.

A little gem hidden in plain site. Can't believe I haven't been here sooner. Tried their burgers and I must say it is really good. The fries was good too. They have decent other things but the burgers is what I go back to. I recommend the to anyone that likes burger. The only downside is that to get a full meal it is a bit pricey. Best burgers. Market next door, which is not a traditional restaurant, has good selection of salads as well as other items like steak, shrimp and tuna. I absolutely love this chicken salad and shrimp in dill yogurt dressing. There is no waitress service. Your meal is purchased at the counter, you find a seat at the table and the staff brings your food to you, if it's ordered hot. Good soups. My favorites are tomato cheddar and mushroom. They serve wine and have a large variety of deserts. Love the owners.

My teenage boys love this place because they say the burgers are amazing as well as the fries. I like it because we can sit outside and have a nice meal together. I'm a vegetarian so I go inside for the other homemade food options and everyone is happy.

This place is right off the side of the road so it’s very convenient to get to. The menu is pretty decent sized and to food was made well and is tasty. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it was pretty easy to find a place to sit even on a busy day. Might be hard to find parking if you’re driving there, but many bicyclists stop here too.

We stopped here after a round of golf in the morning. The food is solid. Burgers were juicy and the fries were excellent. Next time I’ll opt for one of the speciality burgers as the regular one was a little boring, flavor-wise. The tables outside were pretty dirty.

The skinny fries were either overly browned or the oil needs to be changed asap. 😅 $3.95 for a coco cola. Total was $28.64 for a nice lunch to satisfy any famished cyclist doing a century ride. 🙏🏻 Place your order at the walk up kitchen counter. Wait for your name to be called. Enjoy your meal in the sun at a nice picnic table. Weekends can be hectic due to cyclists & motorcycle regulars. YES, It’s that good 😊

We ordered up custom burgers with sweet potato fries. Overall service a Five Star Overall Experience a Four Star This eatery serves up some tasty burgers with a side of amazing service. We purchased our burgers at the shack next to the cafe. After we ordered and paid we waited inside the cafe for our burgers to enjoy them indoors. Burgers were tasty and filling. The cafe shop has limiting seating so eat there before the lunch and dinner rush. The parking lot is a little tricky, be careful pulling to avoid a curb scratch on your rims. The establishment also has outdoor seating but we enjoy our burgers indoors due to the cold weather.

Adjacent to another restaurant, TFS is a unique dining experience. They have no indoor seating, just benches and umbrellas, to enjoy sunny summer days with burgers and dogs. Their menu is filled with interesting burgers. There are bunch of hot dogs and other sides. I went with hot dog and philly dog for my first try. They were both decent but the sauerkraut was lil bit too sour and philly dog had too much onion on it. But their are solid. If I visit them again, I’ll surely try out one of the burgers.

May be I was expecting too much. The hamburger was just that. Nothing special. The fries weren't great either. I ordered a bottle of soda and they forgot to give it to me and when I protested I received an empty glass to fill it myself. The bathroom was clean but smell really bad. No deodorant whatsoever. The best thing was the clientele. I didn't try the pastry but it looked great.

Quaint burger joint. I pass by the establishment everyday on my way to work and finally had an opportunity to check it out and have one of their famous burgers. The prices are a little on the high side for the size of the burger that you get. I was expecting the burger to be better. It was decent but could have been seasoned a little bit better. The fries were seasoned well and had a nice crunch. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the menu. Be prepared to wait awhile for your meal, especially on the weekend. There is an adjacent cafe that has organic and tasty desserts and eclectic array of food. You can eat in or take out. The restroom almost seemed like an afterthought as it was around the back of the building, next to the parking lot and you access it from the outside. It is attached to the building. I thought that was very inconvenient to those who were eating in the cafe as you have to go outside in order to use it. It has an outhouse type of feel and is not insulated.

I’ve been to two of these. One on haverstraw and one in palisades. The food is good. If you’re looking for a nice greasy burger and decent fries, this place is good. The milkshakes were subpar. Also, the bees! They’re all over the soda fountain which I get- but I don’t want to get a soda at the risk of being stung! For what it is, it’s fine but I’ve found other small time burger joints with better food and cleaner places

My husband and I decided to come here for lunch on a Sunday. It was packed. We parked our car in the back and saw a lot of motorcycles and bikes. I guess this place is successful since it is on a busy road shared by motorists and cyclists and the only eatery around. Ordered the American Kobe burger and The Pile Up burger with sweet potato fries. We saw the sweet potatoe fries are just packaged fries that they dump into the fryer. They said the Kobe burger has nothing on it so I added some lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and pickles. Pickles were free but each extra topping was extra. With a soda our total was around $37. Not bad but we thought the burgers could've been better. They were smaller than I imagined and they were very salty. I think Shake Shack makes better burgers.

I’ve been coming to this place for the past 10+ years whenever I go hiking or mtb riding. However, today the burger patty smelled, and tasted pretty bad to a point where I couldn’t finish half of my burger and I usually can easily eat one of these burgers within minutes. I hope it was just a super hot weather that may have temporarily affected the quality of the patty. Because I really love this gem as a local😢

Fries were way too salty, burgers were okay, Onion rings were good. Ice cream was okay too but homemade cone was damp and soft. My son didn’t finished it. He ordered Cookies and Cream but he told me it tastes cherry so I carefully checked ice cream and some part of ice cream was slightly red. I guess person who scoop ice cream didn’t wash enough to wash away the ice cream was scooped before. Too bad, it was very nice shack.

Great location. I personally wasn't a fan of their cheeseburger. It was too salty. My wife's burger had chunks of fat in it. Ordered the fries also, and they had a weird taste to it. Maybe on the way to going bad?? They do provide free water for whoever rides their bike towards there, the customers can also use it.

Disappointing Experience at (TFS) The Filling Station. I recently visited The Filling Station for the second time at this particular location, and unfortunately, it was not as enjoyable as my previous experience. The restaurant has experienced a decline in customer service, and it was quite evident during my visit. The staff member taking orders at the counter was unfriendly, snarky, and overall rude. It seemed as if he had no interest in serving us at all, which left a negative impression right from the start. In terms of the food, my order consisted of two burgers with LTO, and cheese, accompanied by a single side of regular and sweet potato fries mixed together, although predominantly sweet potato. The total bill for this meal, including two Mexican cokes, amounted to around $46 before the tip. The staff member had no problem mentioning a tip. Unfortunately, the taste of the burgers was nothing exceptional. They lacked that special touch that would make them stand out from other burger joints in the area. Considering the underwhelming taste and the high price point, I find it difficult to justify making a special trip to this restaurant. One of the aspects that stood out during my previous visit to The Filling Station was the outstanding customer service, which made the experience memorable. However, this time, the poor service overshadowed any positives the restaurant had to offer. It is disheartening to see such a decline in the quality of service, as it ultimately affects the overall dining experience and customer satisfaction.

This is probably the 1st neg review I've ever done but there's always that once right Overhyped, so here goes....Overhyped, overpriced & thus over rated! Started out w a lil but of a tude that I was lucky (?) To be there. Lil 😕 😕 bout that one. After ordering a cheeseburger, sweet potato fries and shake I dolled out $30.00 and was told that they would announce my name over the speaker. So I sat beside the joint at the picnic table area, tables were dirty and had food scraps/ more like big crumbs kinda all over them. No biggie it was busy but maybe one of the like 20 people behind the counter could of checked out the 8 or so tables. Ok the guy on the speaker system sounded like he used to work for the NY Subway back in the day ( muffled manny lol) garbled garbled noise wind noise&^^^$#%/<() u get it. Ok I did hear RYAN called a few xs tho, patron after patron kept going up so after bout 20 mins I went up and asked. What huh?? I said ok name.... then gave phone # no reply then I said how bout order # xxx he then pushed a bag in my direction to that I said hey sorry to bother u for $30. Waspy type Guy behind counter said, " whatd u say?" I retorted not worth it but ill see if it is. So prepackaged flat patty. ehh at best, bun was basic supermarket store bought nothing to add nor the did the slice of cheese. Sweet potato fries were pretty good but not $30 good. The Oreo shake was really good but hey hard to mess that up. One thing they ABSOLUTELY nailed the was the bathroom gas station vibe, YIKES. Seriously guys really cmon, thankfully the woods are really close by ( its ur best bet)! However I will go back in two weeks just to give them or is it me that they're giving another shot to? Hmm 😒 🤔 so we will see. I did go bout 330pm which was winding down but not cool people. Met some really nice people at the picnic tables tho.

Beautiful day and great spot to enjoy. My wife and I opted for a burger fries combo. Smash burger was very salty and one basket of fries worked well for two of us (ample). Was bothered at pay out to be told use your card here and choose one of 3 options. Choices were, 15",20%,25%. Dont mind leaving a tip for over the top service but handing me a burger over the counter with mandatory tip ?

Rude male staff, cashiers. Cook has good attitude maybe he should be moved to the front to deal with customers too instead of bald and other beaded short man that always act as if they’re giving the food for free and people aren’t paying for it. Zero customer service skills bad attitude. Sometimes you get raw burgers sometimes you have to wait over 30 minutes while others get their orders not sure when go there again with neighbors I will not get any food there. Burned fries, raw burgers, rude staff over priced food 35 minute wait while everyone gets their food we waited 35 minutes or more for burgers

They undercooked (raw on the inside) my husband's burger so he spit it out on top and went back to the kitchen to let them know. They put his spit out food back on the grill to re-cook it. Who knows how many times they did this. Completely unhygienic and gross. We don't think we can ever eat here again. This will be reported to Department of Health.

On 12/23/24 during lunch, I went to order food at the burger stand at the filling station next to the 9W market. I watched the cook touch the food, computer and money during our transaction with the same gloves used to prepare food. The cook's gloves were not removed nor replaced between the sale transaction and cooking. I have had a burger here in the past and it was good....after seeing that today, the risks involved with poor food handling are too high to come back. Please work on food safety before people get sick.

I am honestly shocked by my experience since everyone raves about their burgers. Both my boyfriend and I agree the burgers were not good at all. The beef was not fresh and just tasted very bad. It was also very greasy. The fries weren’t that good either. We got up and left and didn’t eat much of our food. Also they have a ton of laternflies making it unenjoyable to sit outside. Also they are very expensive… for the quality of beef that we had.
