One of the best restaurants in the area. Great wow food, fabulous wine list, excellent service. Make sure to sit inside. Ask for Charlie at the bar.

What a wonderful Three course meal we had tonight with friends. We decided to try the Palm Beach dine special. Our server brought us some delicious bread and a babbaganush spread. We started with the lamb ravioli and my wife with the lobster bisque. Filled with flavor! Then on to the main course where I had the pork chop with a sweet potato hash (built like a lasagna). oh, so good! My wife had the Branzino skin on (no head for those that do not like) very tasty and light. and finished off with a flourless chocolate ganache cake, and I had the raspberry taramisu. We had it all and enjoyed it with a few friends. A must if in PGA! I followed up today with a visit here for Father's Day and an update. Father’s Day for myself and my father in law with our wives, we came to my wife’s favorite PGA restaurant for dinner. We started with the ladies having Martinis. And the gents had Mushroom strudel and cauliflower roasted with a light sauce. I started with a French Onion Soup, and the inlaws shared a Ceasar salad. Both were very good. I felt the Mushroom Strudel was a little small but extremely flavorful. For our dinners, we had an assortment of items, I went with the Yellowtail for the second night. One Halibut one ciopinno and my wife had the rack of lamb. Daniel, our waiter, was very professional and was very knowledgeable of the menu and made some suggestions. I can’t believe I forgot to take photos of the apps. But I did get photos of our main dishes  My Snapper was cooked perfectly and because it is with a fruit salsa it was on the sweet  side. So be sure you like sweet in your food. I thought it was delicious. The ciopinno was great with a light red sauce. And the lamb was cooked to perfection. Halibut  was fresh and tasty as I tried each dish tonight. One thing I would note is if you have seniors with you make sure to note in your reservation to keep you in the first floor as we were put on the loft up the stairs which was fine for us but harder to get the in-laws up and down the stairs.

My husband and I LOVE Cafe Chardonnay. We came to this restaurant for our first dating anniversary and we liked it so much that it became a tradition. We have been consistently coming back every year since then. We even came the day we got married (during Covid craziness in July 2020) and the service was top notch. They made our day very special despite the restrictions at the time.

What is sheer delight to step into this venue. What's the superior wine list. Great selection of foods. One of the best lobster bisques i've ever tasted and service is impeccable. This is the place to go in, Palm Beach Gardens 😎🎸.

Cafe Chardonnay is a staple in the Gardens area for as long as I can remember. It always feels like service and quality of food is at the forefront. There is a consistency of genuine enthusiasm at the front door to a greeting of familiarity by the manager, Scott, and seasoned server vet Mike (going on 37 years)! This evening I went with one of my comfort favorites, glazed duck with a blackberry gastrique. Other guests at my table cleaned their plates of the Grouper with lobster and corn risotto special. This is service!

The best of the best in Palm Beach county. Been there since 1986 and has never faltered. Do yourself a favor and go here and you will be pleasantly surprised how great it is!

Busy night and service was great! We picked the perfect place to celebrate Mother's Day! Lobster & Scallops was delicious! My husband had the Short Rib he was was tender & fabulous!

An Unforgettable Romantic Dining Experience For my birthday this year, we celebrated at Café Chardonnay in Palm Beach Gardens and I fell in love with this upscale and elegant restaurant. Located in the “Gardens Square Shoppes” on the corner of PGA Boulevard and North Military Trail, this restaurant has an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. Café Chardonnay has a beautiful blend of elegance complete with soft candle lights and gentle background music that creates an intimate setting. The patio is stunning with beautiful trellises and lush tropical foliage. The Wine Bar is a perfect blend of cozy comfort and modern chic having beautiful rich cabinetry that features an impressive displays of wine bottles to the ceilings. The main dining room has a wonderful loft seating area and that is where we sat. The service is nothing short of impeccable. From the moment you arrive the staff is friendly and attentive. Their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings demonstrates a commitment to delivering a top-tier dining experience. The Chefs at Café Chardonnay shine with their carefully curated selection of refined dishes that highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients. Whether you are indulging in seafood, tender cuts of meat, or vegetarian delicacies, each dish is artfully plated and bursting with flavor. We ordered the Steak Filet that was tender and so delicious, and the Mahi-Mahi was incredible too. The dessert menu offers so many decadent choices and we selected the Tiramisu with a couple of Cappuccinos. Perfect ending to a wonderful night out. If you are looking to impress your significant other or simply celebrate love, or a special occasion Café Chardonnay is the perfect choice.

Cafe Chardonnay made our anniversary so special. I made the reservation on open table and put a note it was our anniversary, they had the table decorated when we got there! Our waiters name was Mike and he was so sweet. The entire wait staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The only annoying part was the rude rich man at the table next to us loudly complaing to the manager and staff about everything so he could obviously get his meal for free. Absolutely none of his points were valid and I would highly recommend this restaurant and our waiter Mike! Oh and we got the yellowtail snapper and braised beef, both amazing. Drinks were ice cold and Mike even brought us an anniversary dessert!

This place is excellent, top to bottom. A real 10 out of 10! Top-notch service. Great food. Tasty drinks. Everything you'd want out of a restaurant. We were surprised to find how big the place is after entering the front doors. It looks like a small, cute place from the outside, but once you walk in you're welcomed by a spacious bar, multiple dining rooms and multiple levels. It was impressive to see inside a little strip mall. We had the lobster bisque, the butternut squash pear soup, the filet, and the braised short ribs. We couldn't have been happier with all of it, and our server couldn't have been any better either.

My girlfriend and I both took advantage of a seasonal three-course meal special for a recent date night. This restaurant was incredible! The special deal they are offering throughout September felt like an especially good "bang for your buck" situation. We each got to choose from a pre-fixed menu of appetizer, entree, and dessert for only $55. For a fine dining establishment, this really helped with affordability and the food did not disappoint.

Excellent wine list. Multitude of wines by glass too. Cocktails are fair, not amazing or memorable but quite drinkable. Food - tilefish was exceptional. Pear salad is quite unique, tasted very fresh and crisp. Key lime pie very tasty. Service unobtrusive, very attentive and personal. Prices are on par with experience. They are in the strip mall but even patio seating is separated from the parking lot by a thick layer of shrubs, so feels quite secluded.

Omg, my boyfriend chose Cafe Chardonnay, my favorite restaurant, to propose! We reserved a table on the 2nd floor, but it was unavailable when we arrived. After my boyfriend, Mike, quietly spoke with Eric, the best Waiter, and after also gracefully talking with the bestest manager ever behind my back, they all made that special table on the 2nd floor opened and remarkably available for us! Wow, we were alone on the 2nd floor with a table and with a full staff this evening, creating the most romantic atmosphere for Mike's surprise proposal to me. The staff was sooo special and made our evening amazing and absolutely perfect. The food was soo consistent and delish, as always. The wine was superb. Tonight's events will stay with my memories forever. I am soo grateful and tickled pink. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. What a superb performance on Cafe Chardonnay's part for making this evening possible! And if course, I said YES 🙄.

Great first experience at Cafe Chardonnay last night! Food was great (had a few items from the specials) and our server was so attentive and kind to our family.

I have dietary restrictions and the food arrived as ordered. The snapper was tasty, as was my husband's steak. This restaurant is consistently very good and a go to for us on our way back from the airport. The service is always terrific.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is delicious. My wife had the Elk chop, which was amazing. I had the fire roasted grouper, which was good but not the best. All in all, this is a great little restaurant, and I would recommend it for low-key fine dining.

Awesome restaurant! We've been going since we moved to North County in 2015. Ten years later, this is still a staple in our upscale dining experiences in Palm BeachGardens. We had Mother's Day 2025 dinner and it was still a special dining experience even on a holiday. Highly recommend this renowned establishment.

I cannot say enough about this place, it was a beautiful, elegant, and comfortable atmosphere. The service was perfect, eric our server was a gem. But everyone we encountered made us feel like we were at home and mattered. We only came for drinks and apps at the time but everything we had was delicious! Why was that sauce that came with bread so good?! We can’t wait to return, thanks for the beautiful hospitality.

Great place. The Duck and cioppino dishes were excellent. Pinto on tap is rare and was very good. Our server Eric was awesome and his support staff very attentive. Desert was over the top and the best cordials are behind the bar and not on the after dinner desert/drink list. They have the Amoro China China which is rare to come by. Definitely coming back with friends.

What a great evening! Our server Tom deserved six stars! He was so knowledgeable and engaging and overall charming. :) We had the roasted cauliflower & beets, oysters Rockefeller, pecan crusted pork chops, yellow snapper, veal scallopini, and salmon. So, so good!

Café Chardonnay in Palm Beach Gardens, and it’s easy to see why it’s such a local favorite. Even out of season, the restaurant was buzzing... a true sign of its popularity. The location is fantastic, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and relaxed

I dine here regularly because the food is always wonderfully prepared and consistent- farm to table quality. I had the octopus 🐙 App and the cod with lobster risotto- very delicious. Their lobster bisque is the best in PB County. We celebrated 2 birthdays our last visit, and surprised to get complimentary desserts. The flourless chocolate cake is amazing, but cheesecake was very dense, heavy… not fluffy & light the way I like. My only reason for 4 stars ⭐️ this time was the service. Our waiter was not the friendliest, seemed to be in a hurry to get in our order, didn’t check to see if we needed anything, didn’t ask if we wanted coffee with our desserts. Service at CC is generally exceptional, but this time it was a little disappointing. Hiring servers who don’t like their job is not wise. This guy clearly didn’t enjoy what he was doing.

The service was great, the decor/vibe was beautiful and the food was good. Not the best I've ever had, but I like their farm to table commitment and some things, like the coconut cream pie and duck, were exceptionally good.

We were invited by friends who wanted to use a Café Chardonnay gift certificate they had received. The food was delicious, and the service was good until it came time to pay. At that point, the manager came to our table multiple times, saying he was having trouble locating the gift certificate in the system. He even asked if my friend had already used it. This went on for at least 30 minutes. Eventually, the manager returned and said the gift certificate had been used in June. We insisted that this was incorrect, and he finally realized his mistake. There was no apology, compensation, or acknowledgment of the long wait or the embarrassment caused. Because of this experience, I will not return and strongly advise against purchasing gift certificates from this restaurant.

Since I often seek out unique restaurants to eat tasty food prepared by talented chefs this cafe fit the bill. My experience of eating together in a romantic restaurant was only limited by the parking lot filled with snowbirds scrambling about. Despite the parking lot this met the needs of the Francofile in me. Great food and wind selection. Great company, atmosphere, and reasonable prices.We will be back again soon.

We sat upstairs for girls night and it was very crowded. The server was sweet but only left the bottle of red on the table- the bottle of white was left against the wall a few feet away. It was strange. The food was decent. The escargot was undersalted and the garlic sauce had little flavor, not worth it for the price. The duck tasted fantastic but was a tad overcooked and even though it was suggested and ordered to be crispy, it was not. The food overall wasn't worth the pricetag. It was just okay. It was noisy and cramped, definitely not great for sitting and chatting.

My friend wanted to go here to celebrate her birthday and a group of 4 of us went. I unfortunately did not enjoy my meal at all and now I have spent the morning in the bathroom. I ordered Macadamia crusted yellow snapper with coconut rice. Probably should have sent it back but I didn’t want to ruin the dinner for my friends. The meal was barely warm, the top layer of rice was a little hardened/crusty(and overly sweet) and the fish was tasteless. I would rank this meal just below a microwaved frozen dinner. Leftovers going right in the garbage given my stomach upset. Service and atmosphere were very pleasant. But overall so disappointed with food - at least my choice ! Don’t order the snapper !!

We had reservations for four for 5:15. We waited about two hours for our food, which was just ok and pricey. I don't mind pricey IF food is excellent and service is excellent. The din and noise level in the restaurant was awful. We had to scream to be heard by others at our table. We won't be going back. Generally, just an unpleasant dining experience.

We were extremely disappointed last night at Cafe Chardonnay. We had a 8:00 pm reservation outside to celebrate a special occasion and were told upon arrival that our table was still occupied but the current guests were paying their tab. After 10 minutes we checked the host stand at which he said the table was still occupied and he couldn’t do anything about it. I suggested to have the current guests move to the bar so that we could have our reserved table. The host said that isn’t possible but he didn’t see anything wrong with having us wait. After 35 minutes, we requested a final time for our table and were refused. We reluctantly sat inside which wasn’t the table we had originally requested. We were given a round of drinks in lieu of the delay but in my opinion the rudeness and lack of courtesy for our time and reservation is extremely disappointing.

I am absolutely appalled by the experience we had celebrating my grandfather’s 90th birthday here. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for over a decade for every major family occasion, but this visit was beyond disappointing. We waited more than two hours for our food, and not a single staff member offered an apology or explanation. The manager was shockingly rude and dismissive — instead of taking accountability, he acted as though we were the problem. This was a deeply meaningful night, with family traveling in from out of town to celebrate a milestone, and the entire evening was tarnished by their incompetence and indifference. After years of loyalty, we won’t be returning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values basic respect or service.

Server added a bottle of wine for $135 to our bill and then acted like it was a mistake. I wonder how many times a night they try to pull that on the older population they serve. If you are a professional waiter, you don’t make that mistake.

BEWARE!! We had a reservation at Café Chardonnay this past Saturday to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday—her first since becoming a widow. What should have been a special evening turned into a complete disappointment, thanks to the restaurant’s inflexible and frankly absurd handling of a basic situation. I’m 31 years old and was dining with my husband and my mother. I had accidentally left my physical driver’s license in another purse after switching bags at the last minute. Still, I had with me a photo of my license, a photo of my passport, multiple credit cards with my name on them, and even a prescription bottle as additional ID. Despite all this, they refused to serve me a glass of wine or allow us to order a bottle for the table. Let’s be realistic: How underage could I possibly be at my own mother’s 70th birthday dinner, sitting beside my husband, clearly wearing a wedding ring? It’s not just insulting—it’s illogical. But instead of using any common sense or discretion, the staff hid behind “policy” and refused to make any reasonable judgment call. I spoke to the manager, explained the situation clearly, and let him know how unnecessarily upsetting this was. He didn’t care. No flexibility, no understanding, just a robotic and dismissive attitude that was both unprofessional and tone-deaf. We left before ordering dinner. There was no way we were going to sit through a celebratory meal after that kind of treatment. If you’re looking for an establishment with even a shred of warmth, professionalism, or hospitality, Café Chardonnay is not the place. They may think of themselves as upscale, but in reality, they’re just rigid, impersonal, and completely lacking in customer care and common sense.

Disappointed. I was expecting a good experience after reading the reviews, but my expeience was very different. The restaurant was jammed with tables just far too close together. Very intrusive, The noise level was deafening. I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me, even after leaning in. My ears were rining from the noise. Service was reasonably attentive but outrageously slow. I ordered the Short Ribs Ragout. I received fatty, stringy short rib meat over zitti. House Cabernet, ehh. Prices were high and I would not consider this good value for the price point. The restaurant seems to be doing well and thriving though, with great ratings and people waitiing in queue to get in. Just did not meet my expectations.
