This place has outdone itself!!! Dinner on 1/30/26 was out of this world. The service, the food, the atmosphere, 10/10 would recommend. I've never had such a good meal or friendly service in my life! Worth every penny and more. It was my Dad's 82nd birthday and Mortons made it the best one to date. Our server Rocky was AMAZING. We watched him work the room and care for all his patrons with such care and always left our table with us feeling like royalty. Even watching the chefs in the kitchen, they worked like such a well oiled machine it was very impressive. All the staff seemed to be on their A game and I have nothing but the highest of recommendations for this spot. Already looking forward to my next trip to California so we can dine here again! Hats off!!!
ABOVE AND BEYOND! My wife and her friends were there from out of town for dinner and I wanted to have flowers waiting at the table. I completely screwed up the timing and called the restaurant less than an hour before their reservation. Kenny overheard my conversation with the hostess. He took the phone and took charge. He himself raced over to the store across the street and picked up a bouquet of flowers for the table and had everything ready before they showed up. It's so refreshing to have such stellar old school service in today's environment. Big kudos to Kenny and team!
What a great evening we had!!! Eddie (Hope I'm selling his name OK) was simply OUTSTANDING. Attentionate service, personable, attention to detail and overall one of the greats of this industry. I've visited several Morton's and must say this was great. Food was as expected and delicious. Jumbo Shrimp cocktail was perfect and the steak quality was amazing and cooked to perfection. Thank you for a great evening! We'll be back!
We had a fantastic dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse! The steak was cooked perfectly to order, and the service was excellent—everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We always have a great time here, and tonight was no exception. The kids especially loved the shrimp cocktail and the rich, delicious chocolate cake. Looking forward to our next visit!
Morton’s is consistently delicious with top notch service. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. They start you off with a round of warm onion bread and butter (at no cost unlike some other high-end steakhouses that charge for bread). I could have eaten the whole loaf, it’s so good! We then had the onion soup which was rich, cheesy and delicious. My husband and I shared a 16 oz. Ribeye which was the perfect size for sharing along with some asparagus and sour cream mashed potatoes all of which were cooked perfectly. I was way too full for dessert but did notice some other customers with the espresso pot de creme which looked amazing. Morton’s never disappoints!
WOW, where and how I do I start! I can’t thank Josh the general manager and his staff enough for there hospitality. My wife and I drive over an hour once a month to come eat at Josh’s location in Palm Desert. Josh and his team make us feel so welcomed every time we come out from Temecula. In addition, I can’t explain how delicious our meal is EVERY SINGLE time we come. Thank you Josh for your hospitality, professionalism, Dedication and Love to your clients and staff. Lastly, you need to be a regional leader with your talent. Sincerely, Branden & Emilee Samaniego
Took my family out for dinner at Morton's The Steakhouse for my daughter's 12th birthday. Not only was the service impeccable, but the food was out of this world. My highest compliments to everyone who works here. They also took a picture of our family with a memorable placement card. I highly recommend Morton's The Steakhouse to everyone who is near by.
Sat & ate in the bar area. My three patty smash wagyu burger was great.
Excellent birthday dinner tonight! The food was absolute perfection! My ribeye was so delicious and couldn't have came out any better. Our server was the best! We shall see you soon! Thank you
I love going to Morton’s whenever I’m in Palm Desert. I always have a great time. This last time was one of the best. My server Damien went out of his way to make me feel special and I really appreciated his thoughtful and genuine good service.
We split the tomahawk ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the mushrooms which were out out of this world! We had the loaded, baked potato and cream spinach. Cream spinach was OK. I can actually make it better at home but everything else was out of this world delicious
We love this place. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Happy hour is the way to go (more relaxed than restaurant side) with their feature sliders. 🍔
Everything was wonderful at Morton's. The Sliders, Onion Rings, Guinness, Cape Cod, and Thank You for, The Birthday Cheese Cake.
We enjoyed a wonderful early dinner at Morton's my steak Sandwich was so tender. The atmosphere is cozy. Our server, Zoe was cheerful and very attentive. She recommended a Banana Cheesecake for dessert. Wonderful. Well worth a visit
Went there yesterday (2/13/24) with another couple, first trip to Morton’s and wow. Great service food and ambiance. It was relatively quiet for a large open space with lots of diners. The attendants were quick and checked in on us frequently. The Cajun Ribeye was yummy and a great cut of marbled meat. The sides grilled asparagus, lobster MacNCheese, mushroom and onion side, and appetizers stuffed shrimp and pork belly/ bacon were very delicious. Will definitely go back more often.
One of the best stake houses I want to say thank you to all the cooks Jeffery Giacchi
Lived up to the name and expectations. The food was great. Ten of us were well taken care of by a wonderful staff. Had the seafood platter appetizer, the filet was amazing, and I highly recommend the raspberry souffle.
We always have the best server Rocky
I had a bad experience years ago and haven't been back until recently. What a difference a decade has made. The food was spectacular, the staff went out of their way to make my wife and I had the best experience possible. I will definitely be back
If you're looking to spend top dollar for a delicious meal, look no further this is the place. Our server Victor was so friendly and helpful during our first visit here. We ordered the Tomahawk steak and it was delicious! Make sure you order the Au Gratin potatoes, they are AH-MASING! Also, sure you have plenty of time to spend here as your meal is made to order and it does take some time but it'll be all worth it! The staff here makes you feel like family the second you walk into this great establishment. Another note, make sure you save some room for dessert. We ordered the chocolate molten lava cake and OMG it's to die for! None the less, we'll be back. This restaurant is on my top 5 list. Enjoy the experience friends it's one you'll be talking about for years.
The food here is always great. Of all the major high end steak houses I have always like Morton’s the best. The ribeye is always charred perfectly!
I was driving by on my way to my usual Mexican place for dinner when I saw Morton's Steakhouse on Country Club. I'd heard of it since moving here but had never stopped in. I decided "why not?". I was having a stressful day and needed a treat. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us immediately in the bar area. It was nice and cozy and dark and very fancy (I liked it). The server Bridgett did a great job and answered all our questions. I ordered a Filet Mignon and a Baked Potato with butter and sour cream. I enjoyed a couple of Long Island Iced Teas too and the bread they served initially while waiting was delicious. The Filet was cooked to perfection and was very tender, really melting in the mouth. The baked potato was the largest I'd ever seen (see picture) and was delicious. My only problem was I enjoyed too much bread so I didn't finish the potato. I really have to commend the staff at Morton's. From the gentleman who seated us to the server to the manager who stopped by and checked on us. We felt we were well attended too but not overdone. It's a fine balance and they have it down to an art. It was an expensive dinner so not something we can do all the time but I plan to put it as a location we can visit every few months. I will definitely be going back.
Best crab cakes. Delicious chocolate cake. Great selection of steaks. Steak was well-prepared.
Went for Happy Hour. Great food but crowded. We got there 10 minutes before they opened and it filled up fast.
Fabulous food We had the filet's steak and stuffed potato. Because of the amount of people in the room, the noise level was high and therefore it was difficult to communicate with the server.
My husband and I visited the Palm Desert location and we had a fabulous experience! Our waiter was very familiar with all the items on the menu and gave us great recommendations on what items to pair and portion sizes. Also, all the wait staff worked well as a team checking in on us throughout the meal and even delivering an extra side dish at record speed when we decided to add it to the meal. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The lobster tail was also incredible as was the bread served prior to the meal. We were too full for dessert but I’m sure it would have been delectable as well. Overall, great experience and had a wonderful time. We were treated with the utmost respect and will definitely dine here again!
We had a private party for 38 guests on a huge weekend, WAFC industry event. Overall service, support, food and follow up was amazing. Definitely recommend a private dining room for those special occasions. Also an added nice touch with the General Manager came in a introduced himself and shared some amazing 38yr old port with my customer. Very special. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks Brent
This is our home away from home always consistent and near perfection! Josh the manager is always great and accommodating like seeing a great friend when we are there.
Rocky took such good care of us! The food is delicious! Everything about Morton’s is spectacular!
The service was exceptionally well from the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave this awsome place. Our server was on point and very attentive with us, he answered all our questions regarding certain items on the menu. Himself and the manager really made my mom's birthday extra special. I look forward into coming back to this Morton's location.
Had a wonderful dinner at Morton’s last night. I had the 8oz lobster tail and Cesar salad, Rodney had the medallions special and French onion soup. We split a loaded baked potato. Finished with the Lava cake extraordinaire. Jennifer, our server, was attentive. Josh, the general manager, was exceptionally gracious and welcoming. We love the dark elegant ambiance.
Visited the Morton’s in Palm Desert, CA. We had reservations and were seated promptly and were visited quickly by our waiter Jimmy. He was friendly, efficient and provided us excellent service. The girls enjoyed shrimp and crab cocktails and said they were some of the best they have ever had. They also enjoyed delicious crab cakes for their entrees. They boys had steaks and they were cooked perfectly, tender and were accompanied by some delicious sides. Finished it off with some excellent desserts! All the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. A great experience we can’t wait to enjoy again!!
Had dinner there for our anniversary and the food and service was amazing. Their attention to detail was superb, as they had personalized the menu to wish us a happy anniversary. Our waitress, Sage, did a great job of reviewing the menu with us. She also checked on us often to ensure we were having a pleasant evening. Would definitely recommend Morton's to anyone.
We thoroughly enjoyed our service and food from the time we entered Morton’s to the time we left. The staff was very attentive to our demands and hospitable. We definitely will come back on our future visits to Palm Springs.
Cajin ribeye to die for!! Spinach mushrooms and career salad great..creme rules and key lime desert ...fabulous!!.the Mgr Kenny was very gracious and spent time at our table to make sure all our expectations were a reality..Bravo!!
We celebrated a very dear friend last night at Morton’s The Steakhouse, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The food was flawless, beautifully prepared, perfectly timed, and absolutely delicious. The service was seamless from start to finish. But what truly sets this restaurant apart is the leadership. Josh, the General Manager, is exceptional. He personally checks in, making you feel as though you are his only guests, yet somehow manages the entire dining room with grace and precision. We watched him move from table to table, encouraging his team, connecting with guests, and coordinating with the chefs, all with genuine warmth and professionalism. It’s rare to experience this level of hospitality. It’s not just a dinner, it’s an experience. And every time we visit, we are reminded why we keep coming back. Five stars simply don’t feel like enough. Thank you for making our celebration so special.
We have been making this restaurant a special destination for years. Good food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. Josh, you make us want to come back. Your attention to regulars can't compare. We love you, we love Morton's Palm Desert and will continue to frequent. As you said last night, we're family. Thank you so much for everything!
My mom and I have been coming to Palm Dessert for the past 20+ years. Tonight was by far our best experience at Morton’s. Joe was absolutely phenomenal. Love you, Joe! Thank you for spreading your sweet Italian vibes. “Schmoozer with dreamy eyes” We look forward to visiting y’all next time we’re in Palm desert. 🌺🌺🌺
Incredible meal!!! Food was awesome and service was amazing. Damien set us up in the right direction for food and wine. Kenny, the Manager was so welcoming about accommodating.
Fantastic evening at Morton’s Steakhouse - be prepared, this place is pricey. The four of us ate and the bill came to nearly $600 with only one of the group drinking wine (by the glass). Well recommended for a special occasion, service was exemplary. Thanks for a fantastic evening. Awesome appetisers and steak 🥩
We had our annual business meeting dinner here for the 10th year in a row! Our group size was 15 people! The service and food were fantastic! Thanks to Josh the GM and Brandi the Event Coordinator for having us again. Special thanks to Kenny(Manager) and his staff: Tony, Oscar Joaquin, Omar, and Stevie for taking care of us. We have already booked again for next year.
WOW. I cannot say enough how lovely the 70th birthday surprise party was and somehow we managed to truly surprise Dawn. The room was beautiful, the staff was wonderful and attentive, the appetizers were delicious and the food…..I don’t even have words to describe how delicious, impressive and cooked to perfection it was. People even raved over the mashed potatoes. And that lobster bisque soup was also beyond description. The whole thing was simply flawless. Everyone really enjoyed it and I will be sure to recommend you and Morton’s to others for dinner as well as for special occasions like we had. I’ve actually never eaten at Morton’s before but it is now on my list for sure. The ambiance in the dining room was so nice too.
My husband and I went to Morton’s on 4th of July weekend 2025 because we were stayed at JW Marriott near by. Parking : There was plenty of parking because they use the same parking lot in the plaza that has grocery store and other store in the same area. Vibe : Quite dark inside but cozy. Service : Our server was very nice.Everything came fast and I never have to ask for more water or more wine because they never let our glass empty. Food : I got sea bass and it was very good,Taste fresh and well seasoned. My husband got steak and lobster and it was great! And steak cooked the way we ordered. At the end they gave us an anniversary desert as well and we picked cheesecake and it was a wonderful way to complete our dinner. Do we want to come back next time we’re in Palm Springs? Absolutely!
We were guest at JW Marriott nearby and wanted something off the resort for our anniversary dinner. We had no reservations but were greeted and welcomed upon arrival as if we did. Our server was Martin, who was absolutely fantastic! I'd recommend this location over and over again just off their hospitality alone; although the food was fantastic as well. Overall 10/10 all around.
I dined here while on a business trip. The food was excellent, as one would expect from Morton's. I started with a chopped Greek salad, followed by a 12oz Filet with a side of asparagus. The salad was something I've never had before from them, it was quite tasty and very good and enjoyable. Next was the filet, that was delicious as always. The asparagus was grilled to perfection, but for one person was way too much. Each of their spears is as thick as five of the spears you'd get at the grocery store. That was definitely a splitter, or a meal in itself!
Oh wow! The Filet was like butter, cooked to perfection. This is probably in my top 5 now. The mashed potatoes, so gooey, creamy and the thick, juicy bacon. You have to get them loaded. 🤤🤤 We spilt a salad, I don’t like to waste any room by eating a salad. But once again, the bacon, Blue cheese and dressing, delicious. I forgot we had the brussels sprouts, those were so good. We definitely wrapped those up and took them home. I have no complaints. Service was attentive and the food was delectable.
I've been to several Mortons, and I have to say this Mortons has the best service I've experienced. From the moment that door is open. The door was opened for us. We had booked our reservation for the next day, and they changed our reservations and sat us down. As soon as we sat our bread and arrived, our sparking water came immediately. We ordered wine this night, and the wine glasses were checked before we were served, not one spot on the glass. The crew that served us went above and beyond. If every Mortons would work as exceptional as this mortons, I wouldn't hesitate to go to my Woodland Hills locations.
Last night for dinner as we leave Palm Springs tomorrow from.tbr expo. Mortons was completely packed, and if you didn't have a reservation, you were not getting in. We got lucky as there were two seats open at the bar, and we slid in. The bar tenders and staff were really nice and helpful. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was even better. We had a great time chatting with surrounding guests and keeping conversation going. My friend ordered a steak, and we had bacon wrapped scallions, Brussel Sprouts, lobster mac and cheese, garlic mash potatoes, and prosciutto wrapped cheese. I am very happy with our experience and visit.
Came here to treat my veteran hobby for our anniversary. This place is totally worth the hype. Everything on the menu is served a la carte. So we got a heart studded table. The drinks were amazing. I highly recommend getting the passionfruit drink and custom berry mojito. The lobster mac and cheese was to die for. I loved my juicy 8 oz filet mignon and huge baked potato. My bf wouldve loved having more lamb for the price but it was still tasty nonetheless. We got a special menu and picture for our anniversary. Make reservations in advance. Free surface parking lot. Total bill for food and drinks was $269 with tip at 17% Flavio our waiter was very sweet.
Steak was perfection, cooked just as ordered, tender and delicious. Salmon, very good as were the green beans and baked potatoes. The o'rderves,- bacon wrapped Scallops were very underdone and the Crabcake was tasteless. The Chocolate Mousè was a perfect ending to a lovely meal. We were part of a large group served banquet style so not the normal dining experience. The service was amazing and except for the disappointment in the Starters, the meal was Exceptional.
I want to give a higher rating, but I love a good steak and this one was just okay. For the price I expected an amazing steak. The fries have something on them that smelled like parmesean cheese? I don't eat cheese, so I didn't eat them. They were nice enough to take them off the bill without me even requesting it. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but the restaurant had very few people there during my visit. I loved the atmosphere and the location, I just wish my steak was tastier.
Service was terrific. Oscar could not have been more attentive. The New York strip was OK but in no way exceptional, as was the Bernaise. Atmosphere was lovely. We enjoyed the evening and hope the food quality improves because everything else is excellent.
Ordered take-out. Prior orders from here have been really good. This one wasn't. My one request was no Bleu cheese on the salad. They ignored that. Prior orders had the food well-packaged in the proper sized containers to help keep it warm. The lobster ravioli were in a container 4-times too large. They were spread all over by the time I got home. Also, they used open top grocery bags, so containers didn't sit level. Prior orders used a plastic bag tied tightly closed to keep everything together. I'd think twice before ordering to-go from Morton's again.
This restaurant is nice but I expected more. We walked in and didn’t get greeted until we spoke. The person in the front seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing. He just stared at us when we said hello. We were with a private party and the servers were very attentive. The food was good but appetizers were very cold.
Had dinner 8/24 Christian was our waiter, they were extremely busy on this Saturday evening. The food was good, not great. We shared two Jumbo crab cakes for an appetizer that were one crab cake made into two for $47…Everyones entree’s were cooked perfectly but our Waiter was AWOL most of the night. Nick seemed more attentive than Christian and he wasn’t our server, so next time we will request Nick.
Having resided in the area for approximately twelve years, I have developed a desire to explore various dining establishments beyond my usual favorites. My partner and I rotate trying new restaurants every other month. After visiting LG's, Mitch's, and Sullivan's, I decided to try Morton's. Given it was a Sunday evening near closing time, I did not anticipate a flawless experience, but I was hopeful and pleased to secure a table. To begin, I must commend the excellent service. Regarding the food, my initial impression was not positive. The bread was a significant disappointment; a bland, tasteless loaf that could not be considered bread. Fortunately, a leftover baguette from a catering event was offered and was quite delicious. My companion and I started with a chopped house salad and French onion soup, both of which were satisfactory. However, the entrees and side dishes required some attention. My companion's pork chop was undercooked despite being ordered medium; we returned it, and it returned improved, along with a delicious apricot chutney. My baked potato was cold, but it was promptly rectified, as was the undercooked asparagus, which was then perfectly charred. The lobster was subpar, and my New York steak was missing the truffle butter and béarnaise sauce that were ordered. We received both sauces after requesting them from our server. Our waitress, Jessica, was exceptionally kind and comped our chocolate pudding cake dessert. In my opinion, Outback Steakhouse offers a superior dining experience.
The food was great. Caramel pecan cheesecake was the best cheesecake I've ever had. Service was very good. It was, however, very loud.
Went to HH on Thursday Oct 2, but the dress attire was the most offensive. Someone walked in with “booty” shorts, tank top and lanyards around her neck, her “date” looked no better. How can you enforce your dress code when you allow someone walking in, seating and eating? You’ve brought Morton’s to another level. Let it go, you’ll have others dressed inappropriately for a fine dining upscale restaurant. 😡
We, four guests, visited Morton's Palm Desert on Feb 10. We give 5 stars for the food and the service. We give 3 stars for our dining experience. This is a loud restaurant. No calming or romantic ambiance. The table was definitely too small for four people, we were cramped, especially having sides with main entrees. Also, we spilled a martini as soon as served. They served us another one BUT they charged us for the spilled cocktail (it was a full glass). We think this is poor customer experience for a $$$$ restaurant.
Underwhelmed. Going to a place known for steaks, the experience was ok. Both of us ordered filets medium rare they came out medium to medium well. The meat was dry, and one of the waiter used his hands to add bacon to the top of a baked potato.
The food is good. We ordered the porter house and it was melt in your mouth fantastic. The bacon, gouda potatoes were delicious. The cocktails were very strong and tasty. The service from our waiter was so so. He seemed to favor the table behind us by flirting with some guys wife, which was annoying. Never checked to see if our food was okay. Our waters went empty for quite a bit of time and then brought our check soon after bringing our dessert. Not sure if he was trying to rush us. I came for my birthday and they printed out special menus that said happy birthday on them which was really sweet. Overall, the food was better than the service. The bread guy and other staff were more polite and attentive than our waiter. My first time going there, and sadly, probably the last.
From looking at the fancy pictures online, we had higher expectations. In general, the atmosphere was good and the food was good. But we had to wait a couple minutes at the front desk before being greeted, the service was decent but not what we expected at a fancy restaurant. The food tasted fine, but wasn't anything super impressive that would make us want to come back again. Overall, it was a nice date night, But just walked away with an impression that the restaurant was "average"... For the price we paid we had hoped for a more impressive experience.
Sides were very good, unfortunately many of my group that ordered their steaks medium-rare ended up with steaks that were medium, including mine - so not as enjoyable as they should have been. In addition, the cocktail I ordered came out completely wrong; I had to send instructions on how to make it to whoever was making the drinks. This is the second semi-poor experience I've had there in a row. At this point, I'm of the mind that they are coasting on their past reputation to be honest. Will definitley consider whether or not our group returns for another visit next time we're visiting.
WE were shocked. Ordered Cajun ribeye abd they totally missed the mark. There was nothing Cajun about it. ABSOLUTELY no flavoring....didn't complain but it was quite disappointing after a $200+ bill. The Brussels sprouts were chewy/undercooked. Rack of lamb was great. Our server Rocky was great. We were there August 5th celebrating a birthday
Had dinner here yesterday night with 3 of my girlfriends. It’s our 1st time & 1st day in Palm Desert. We had a long travelling day and looked forward to a good meal. The restaurant had good reviews & looks high end but did not deliver to our expectations. My friend’s salad had a short hair stuck in between her iceberg lettuce but the server had to get his boss to come check before offering a new salad. It felt like they didn’t believe us. My other girlfriend order medium well pork chops but it came medium rare like a steak. She had to send it back to recook since it’s not safe to eat raw pork. She did enjoy the pork once it was cooked thoroughly. The 3rd friend had a very salty lobster bisque but by now we didn’t want to send anything back because it would seem like we are just complaining. I enjoy my burrata salad, it was delicious except for the stale croutons. I didn’t touch any of that. I never done restaurant review but this one was very disappointing for the expensive price we paid.
Our family was in Palm Dessert for the weekend and decided on Morton’s. My husband had never been here. The steak wasn’t bad, but he likes other steak houses he’s been to better. My 10 year old however loved every bite! As a non beef eater I was happy to see shrimp scampi on the menu. It did the job, wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t care for the spinach, but my husband liked it. We also ordered the bacon au gratin potatoes which they seemed to like as well. We were feed, but there was no ranting about the meal. We’ve had better, but it wasn’t bad. We just won’t be back. I wish there was a 3.5 option. They aren’t a 4, but I want to give them higher then a 3.
We were looking forward to a special Thanksgiving dinner at Morton’s The Steakhouse, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. First, the service was subpar. Our waiter seemed inattentive and unorganized, which left us waiting far too long for basic requests. The cocktails took more than 20 minutes to be delivered and the soup was brought to us within the first 10 minutes of being seated. For a restaurant of Morton’s caliber, this was surprising and disappointing. As for the food, the quality was far from what I’ve come to expect from this establishment. The dishes were bland, poorly prepared, and lacked the premium touch that justifies their high prices. It felt like the Thanksgiving special was rushed and not given the care it deserved. Overall, the experience was a letdown. A Thanksgiving dinner should feel warm and special, but this felt like an overpriced, underwhelming meal with poor service. I hope Morton’s takes this feedback seriously to improve for future occasions.
It wasn't what we had expected.. totally surprised the way things went down when we walked in..waited 15 minutes to be seated while on time for our reservation with no seats to sit on .. our waiter was ok but took forever with our drinks our steak was way to red when we ordered a medium to begin with..we spent alot of money on food and drinks and felt like we should of spent such a high amount at mastros or LG steak house..now those places are worth it in my opinion. Food was mediocre on taste..sizzler beats it outta the park!!! This will definitely be our last..and sorry to say will not recommend to anyone who asks..
I have been to several Morton's. This was not to the standard that I have been accustomed. The waiter was very kind. But our order was a mess. Our food came out cold. Instead of replacing it they just took it to the kitchen and heated it up. So our lobster was overcooked and steak was no longer cooked to order. We are asked several times if we want the soufflé and we said yes. Only to find out no...they don't have it. We were rushed through dinner and were made to feel unwelcomed to stay and enjoy the expensive food and wine that we ordered while waitstaff banged plates and started turning off lights. We were extremely disappointed and paid A LOT of money on a lot of food and liquor . The very least they could do was allow us to enjoy our mediocre meal in peace.
We were celebrating a birthday and they knew it because we had mentioned it on the OpenTable reservation. The bread and butter: Awesome! Warm and soft on the inside and a bit crunchy on the outside. The butter was soft and delicious. The Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail were terrible. I think Red Lobster has better lobster tail! The filet smelled and was very tough. The Chicken Christopher was above average. It was very garlicy (a bit overwhelming), a bit on the low quality side, but tasted above average. The Creamed Corn was school cafeteria quality and did not taste right. The Fries were very good and a lot of them! The Chocolate Lava Cake and ice cream were above average. The service was not what I had expected from Morton's; although, the hostess (Mia) and the gentleman who brought the food to the table were very friendly and helpful. We didn't complain to anyone about the food, but at payment time, we wrote a little note about the Filet and Lobster. They comp'ed the dessert!!! Thank you for making up for the terrible $66 entree with a $16 cake! Don't restaurants comp the cake for birthdays anyway?!!! Summary: I wouldn't go back when Eddie V's and Mastro's are close by.
What a waste! Servers leaning over your head to fill your water. Deserts that tasted like something not as good as Costco. Salmon was so bad couldn’t eat it. Tasted like it was boiled with a congealed sauce. Asparagus was way undercooked. The table bread was so ‘frozen throw in oven’. The onion topping was very overpowering. One loaf on our table was flat and undercooked and the other was cold. There are better options out there. Steak was just average. I thought Kaiser Grill was so much more superior.
To say pretty disappointed would be quite an understatement of our experience at Morton’s Palm Desert. We bought the $140 porter house Jan 13/24 and it came out rare blue rare, not one to complain so I had one piece but my girlfriend could not eat it so she asked for it to be cooked more, they took pieces back to warm up and legit came back as rare again. I started to continue and even for me I couldn’t eat it, it was so rare so I sent my pieces back and same for me as well no difference in the doneness when they brought the steak back. Girlfriend couldn’t eat it so she asked for a new steak cause she hadn’t eaten yet, got a small filet brought out by the GM and this steak was even worse, not kidding. Blue rare throughout and showed the waiter and he was frustrated with how rare it was. Not sure but these guys I don’t think have ever heard of a thermometer before. At this point all we did was laugh it was so bad, a disaster. Complete disaster joke of an evening, they took care of the sides and the filet only just very disappointing to have to pay for a $140 full price for a legit rare still mooing porterhouse. And not once did a manager come and speak to us which shows the amount of respect they got, zero. Will say our server was a really good guy, service was going great until the total miss on the food very very very poor. Oh and forgot we had scallops ordered but did not come out before the steak and they brought them later and those were so raw as well. Like pitiful. Don’t recommend you going here wasting your money for dinner and spending 300 bucks, save your money here and for sure head over to Ruth Chris or Mastros instead, cheers.
One of our favorites, but this time the reception was very rude and unprofessional.
Honestly disappointed…expected Michelin star quality…honestly Applebees is probably better…stayed at the jw Marriott villa 1 and checked in too late to go to mikado…not great food, maybe eating in is better…everything was really bland and not well cooked, spent over 200$….glad I didn’t tip for my pick up order…normally I tip big, and I love food! But honestly kind of ruined my night…the Brussels sprouts were not cooked and extremely blah, kinda hard. I ordered medium for the lamb and cut into it and blood squirted out! I ordered the fillet mignon with lobster tail well done and it came very medium and red. I ordered the Mac and cheese and the baked potato both WITHOUT bacon and surprise surprise, they both came with bacon!! I guess dietary restrictions and preferences don’t matter here. What if we were allergic? What if we just ate without checking!? Everything was terrible! Honestly would have been less disappointed if I went to jack in the box, and I don’t eat fried foods! It was too late and we were too tired to go back and complain and wait for more food after waiting 30 minutes for our order. Get it together Morton’s! Whether you dine in or take out, everything should be amazing! Oh ya, did I mention it cost over 200$!? Gross 🤮 🤢
Honestly, if I could deliver a rating below one star, I certainly would. I was a part of a party of eight that gathered from all over the country for a 50th birthday party. We trusted this restaurant with a specially designed cake that was delivered safely to their cooler. A member of staff dropped the beautifully decorated and expensive cake. Them several staff member gathered around our table and delivered the news in a way that implied that they were amused by the mishap. The manager on duty (Jose) was extremely resistant to making the group whole - given that the entire experience was ruined. The customer service here was subpar and unsympathetic - to say the least. This is extremely disappointing and frustrating. Several customers have been lost simply because there were no real attempts to compensate for an egregious mistake.
CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! All was tasty and fine until my husband was home balancing our bank account. Apparently our waiter (Nicholas) took it upon himself to alter the receipt and added more to his tip amount. 15% just wasn’t enough for him. This is considered theft if you ask me and it’s absolutely unprofessional. My husband called the restaurant when he saw the amount charged was more than the amount he signed for on the receipt. The person who answered the phone verified everything on the receipt, and all was correct until he got to the tip amount. He was told they would credit back the difference and that a manager by the name of Josh would call him back. Here we are a week later and we haven’t heard from anyone. We spent a good amount of money here and this is the way we get treated as customers? Imagine how many times this guy has gotten away with stealing other people’s money?!! CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!
Worst service ever tonight! No water glass, no table setting and no bread plate offered. I had to ask 2 times until I could get these items. The same issue when I asked for another glass of wine. On top of that our server and Manager made us wait over 20 minutes to get our check. They also added a $31 gratuity to our check and we only paid $7 out of it because the server was awful. He had an arrogant attitude and also the Manager on Duty. The Manager walked away when I went up to him to address our issues. This was our first time here, definitely not fine dining service and not worth the expensive prices!!!!!! We were just looking to have a nice dinner after a hard work week. We’ll never be back. Most especially, because the staff does not care.
Ordered DoorDash and the quality has gone downhill. My medium burger was dry and burnt. The buns are no longer made in house but look like cheap store bought buns, cheese cannot be customized anymore and you get a cheap slice of plastic American cheese, and you can’t even get a decent slice of tomato anymore. Would not recommend.
I’m not one to complain, I would suggest to anyone before posting a negative review, always try to take care of it before it gets to this! Well I did that here at Mortons .My wife and I are on vacation in Palm Desert and we usually treat our selves to a high end steak house . it’s certainly a treat! At arrival everything was great, the greeting the waiting and so on. We ordered lobster bisque and the waiter was nice enough to split the soup in two separate cups for my wife and I. We then ordered a steak & lobster & steak oscar, my steak came & it looked like a hockey puck! I like my steak medium, there was zero pink I asked for the manager and he came and couldn’t believe what was on my plate, they made me another steak, but what sucked is I ate my lobster tail before my steak that’s not what I’m paying the big bucks to do. We got the bill and there was no discount on our bill, they charged us full price, I asked our server to see the manager. At least five minutes later, the waiter tapped me on the shoulder and said I’m only the messenger. We waited another 10 minutes and no manager arrived. Unfortunately, the waiter paid for this because I did not leave a tip. I’m a very Generous tipper I usually put between 18 and 20%. Unfortunately, I have to do this because I did not feel that I was treated to the full experience that I would expect to get from Morton’s steakhouse. I really hope that people don’t have this experience, but I will never be back there and to be honest I don’t know I’ll ever pay that much money for a steak again because it’s certainly not what it used to be
We sat down, were promptly greeted by two servers who were extremely nice and professional. I eat two slices of bread from the basket that was provided. My wife quickly tells me to stop eating and shows me her slice of bread. There was mold on her bread. Check the remaining 3 pieces, all of them had mold on them. Let the server know, he was extremely apologetic, offered new bread, we declined. He informed us he told the boss and offered us a desert. We declinded, paid for our drinks, and left. Think about it. Mold doesn't grow overnight. So what does that mean? They are using old bread, like days old bread which has been heated, cooled, and shelved multiple times. You're paying hundreds of dollars for steaks and drinks and if they can't get bread right then you should really worry about everything else. The Margarita was pretty amazing though.
