Review: Sushi on the Run, Rancho Mirage Don’t let the name fool you—this small spot is run by a husband-and-wife team who used to live in the Bay Area, and their food is anything but rushed. The portions are incredibly generous, especially their bentos, which are huge and packed with the freshest ingredients. Their salmon kam Easily one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Seating is limited along the wall, but the care and love they put into every dish make it worth it. If you’re in Rancho Mirage, this place is a must-try!

A mom and pop to-go place that makes tasty fresh sushi. I’ve only had the shrimp tempura roll the 2 times I have gone, but it’s fantastic and I only recently discovered this place. Looking forward to trying more. The owners are super nice also, give this place a try.

Fantastic, food, service and atmosphere!! Definitely 5 stars! We had the citrus Fresh and the Frank Sinatra.... DELISH!!!

This place is literally its name… “On the Run” It’s specifically take out. But there is a small bar off to the side that seats about 4 people, but mostly seems to be used as a waiting area for customers picking up. But the sushi is very good. Fresh and tasty, the rice is tender and stands up well to the ingredients. It’s mostly rolls and nigiri, but they have beef or chicken teriyaki rice bowls and bento boxes. The standards edamame, miso soup and green salad to accommodate also. If I lived in the area this would be a weekly stop on the way home for sure.

This place is legit! I was looking for an AYCE place around here but couldn't find one... This placed seemed to be higher quality from what I could gather, so I rolled the dice and checked it out. 100% definitely give it a try! Reminds me of an authentic sushi shop, street side in Japan. Super clean ✔️ Fresh fish ✔️ No price gouging ✔️ Fast Service ✔️ Simple is best. Will definitely be back tomorrow, and in the future! Thanks for the delicious meal! (Lunch items flying off shelves is a great sign at 12:30pm)

Ive been thinking about this be place since I got home! House made kimchi and seaweed salad was delicious! Rolls were amazing and owners were so sweet. Bonus because it’s not too far off the highway snd easy to find. Can’t wait to try again.

Found Sushi on the Run by chance. Small place focused on sushi to go with a couple chairs to dine in if needed. Several outdoor tables they seem to share with Starbucks. The couple running it were so nice. We grabbed a table outside, our food was ready in about 10 minutes. Had two rolls, four pieces of sushi and a cucumber salad at an table in the shade. Everything was excellent, fresh and good prices. Great concept! Happy to support family owned businesses like this!

It humbled me into not judging places based on anything besides the quality of their food. And their sushi is quality. The people running the place are sweet, friendly and very helpful. Please don’t pass this place by.

got the homemade spicy cucumbers, 2 rolls and chicken katsu bento box for a very decent price and the quality was AMAZING. the service was excellent as well she checked on us and was very nice and polite. very happy with my boyfriend and i’s decision to come here for lunch. will be back very soon!

My wife and I had the salmon and chicken bento boxes with California rolls. Every thing was delicious. I'm usually hesitant to order Salmon because it is frequently overcooked but it was done to perfection here. The seating is very limited. It is designed as a take away place.

The Sushi here is very good and the people are so kind. I liked the Yellowtail Nigiri best and the Sunomono salad was fresh on a hot day.

I absolutely love this place. Cute little restaurant, the owners are absolutely amazing, so friendly and kind. We were always trying different Sushi restaurants and this one has been our absolute favorite. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. It definitely hits the spot. I definitely recommend this place.

Soy sauce that was covering the entire bag and then the avocado hand roll. The avocado, salmon and hand roll was absolutely disgusting. It didn’t taste like the one that I had previously so I’m kind of disappointed with the service.

I am upset by these folks hours. I went there today and there’s a sign on the door apologizing for the inconvenience that they will be closed from June 30th to July 13th. It would be very helpful if they updated their hours on Google. Not open on the weekends. It must be 5 star sushi, otherwise with these hours i don’t know how they’d still be in business.
