Opinions de Chicken Ranch Palm Springs
4 adults and 2 kids. We arrived about an hour before closing so it was very empty which we loved. We sat outside so the waitress turned on the propane heaters for us. Loved that we stayed warm but also got to enjoy the fresh air. Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the firecracker orange chicken! Great food, kind waitress and quick service. Couldn’t ask for anything more. We will definitely come back next year for a visit when in town
I visited Chicken Ranch last year during Palm Springs Pride, and I couldn’t have picked a better spot for a meal! As someone visiting from out of state, I felt instantly welcomed by the friendly staff and the vibrant, laid-back atmosphere. The chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful—hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. The sides were fresh and delicious, and you can really tell they care about quality. Even with the festival crowds, the service was quick and attentive. It was the perfect place to unwind, grab a cold drink, and soak in the Palm Springs vibes. I'm coming back this year and will definitely return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a fun, inclusive spot to celebrate!
My first time in Palm Springs visiting from Vancouver BC. My best friend Shea lives in Irvine recommended this restaurant. and it didn’t disappoint. Over the top. Good food, good vibes, and amazing cocktails! Try the Arnold Palmer!
Such good food! The chicken is amazing! The buffalo chicken sandwich was tasty and not very hot, but really tasty!
Wonderful lunch, fresh ingredients. Great sandwiches and salads.
Had a great fried chicken sandwich. Shared it with my wife and it was plenty. Nice little side salad came with it. Have eaten here a couple times over the years and always enjoyed it. Nice patio seating with plenty of shade and the misters made the 95° weather feel very comfortable. Great service by Gonzalo H. Very friendly and prompt.
This Chicken Ranch is a hot spot in Palm Springs due to its variety of chicken dishes that spans everything from a rotisserie chicken to chicken sandwiches and even tender and flavorful chicken meatballs in an Italian sub! Try anything you won’t be disappointed. I gave the atmosphere a 3 since it is only outside seating and the weather can get a bit difficult to eat outside when it’s 110 degrees in the shade. Get the chicken meatballs they are delicious.
Every Palm Springs trip, the Chicken Ranch definitely has my back! My family and I always make sure one of our meals is here, and it never disappoints. The chicken is always cooked to perfection and gives the best flavor. Bonus for them always serving a lot! Service is great, and never a long wait. Make sure to order the strawberry lemonade! Already craving it for the next time we go.
One of my favorite place to eat on our recent trip! The chicken meatballs are to die for!!!! The flavor and texture was perfect! The sauce was excellent! We all enjoyed our meals so much! Thank you!
While driving through downtown Palm Springs we saw the Chicken Ranch and decided to stop in. Great outdoor seating with cooling mist spreading overhead to help keep you cool during the hot days. They have a short, simple easy menu with an inexpensive drink menu. We had the buffalo wings, chicken strips and the fire cracker chicken with a side of mac and cheese. Everything was good and tasty, except we found the mac and cheese to be a little bland. We thoroughly enjoyed the margaritas. We had excellent service and enjoyed our visit.

Chicken Ranch is always a destination for an exceptional experience. The lunch surpassed all my expectations with its delectable flavors, leaving my taste buds in utter delight. Truly the best restaurant in Palm Springs! Food was exquisite ! Drinks were amazing ! Outstanding service as well. I highly recommend this restaurant! Can’t wait to be back.
Okay, so every time we come to Palm Springs, this is one of our go to spots. It never disappoints either. Don’t worry about the heat because they have the mists over each table. This place is unique because the chicken is organic and you can definitely tell the difference. I’ve gotten various options on the menu before but this time I ordered the bbq wings, tinga tacos, and coleslaw. My wife ordered the bbq chicken salad and green beans. Before that though, we ordered two drinks, a Paloma and a Cadillac margarita. These drinks are strong but not overpowering with the liquor taste. The bartender knows how to make a good drink. The food was stupendous as always and it left us very satisfied. The atmosphere here is live but laid back also. People are constantly walking up and down the street if you decide for the street side tables. I would definitely recommend going to this place. It is one of the better options in the area. You won’t be disappointed. At all!
Good food made with good, healthy ingredients. Staff there are all incredibly nice and the environment is very friendly and easygoing. Buffalo ranch chicken sandwich is a must try in my opinion but they have an excellent set of options to choose from
It was hard to find some good gluten free meals around but this is one of the good ones. Having a wrap wrap I was able to replace the fried chicken with regular grilled chicken and they have a dedicated gluten free wrap. Although the fryer (meaning chips) was not gluten free - having the jacket potato instead was even better. The quality of service was also amazing with very quick refills and generous abilities to accommodate the gluten free and swapping of chicken. And ignoring all the gluten free parts - what a meal it was, juicy chicken, delicious sauce and an unreal jacket potato! Would have it many times again
Our Family lives functions loves & lands on multiple p/w Chicken Ranch take-outs!!! I really enjoy stopping by this place every time I visit PS. Most of their dishes are excellent - only a couple of dishes I wasn’t crazy about. But, mostly terrific. Chicken Wok is amazing.
Range free chicken Organic salad Mac & cheese is wonderful Pineapple coconut martini is yummy
Casual lunch spot. Food was good however the sandwich was front loaded to look like a lot was inside - good flavor though
I had a craving for non-supermarket roast chicken, and we remembered Chicken Ranch. They have an outside patio with umbrellas. We ordered chicken leg, chicken on a bun with salad, green beans, and roasted yam. The chicken leg was consumed before I remembered to take photographs (sorry). The roasted yams were a great idea, they were roasted with the chicken. The green beans were not as good as the crispy stir-fried green beans in Chinese restaurants in Vancouver though, but it was helpful to have cooked greens.
The food is good, the ambiance is better. It's a cozy to medium sized restaurant adorned with red and white tables settled alongside a quaint city street. Expect all dishes to run around $15 on average. My order consisted of Chicken Tinga Tacos, which were decent and included a substantial amount of chicken. They come with a small portion of guacamole that was unfortunately very bland. The Firecracker Orange Chicken is not only a beautiful dish in itself, it had a light flavor unlike normal orange chicken that is almost always heavy with syrup. It made the dish pleasant and filling at the same time. For all my vegetarian fans, you're in luck. The Vegetarian Fried Chicken Sandwich is for you! The tasty brioche bun has not one, but TWO "chicken" patties, coleslaw and much more making this sandwich a two hander. It also comes with a side of pasta salad which makes for a fulfilling lunch or dinner. The STAR of the show in my opinion is not the chicken. It's the Mac and Cheese... an absolutely delicious dish. Bravo!
We got a bunch of carry out to try this place for the first time. I got the fried chicken sandwich on the baguette with the sauce and slaw on the side. Thank God I did because when I tasted the slaw, something was off, tasted bitter and not good. They need to check that recipe, lacking of any salt or flavor but was bitter and tasted almost bad, bad cabbage has a very distinct flavor. The fried chicken though was great, the baguette was perfect and the spicy Mayo was delicious. I'd skip the slaw and just get lettuce and tomatoes and that yummy spicy Mayo bc that baguette with that chicken is delicious! We also got 2 orders of the leg & thigh, $9/each and I'll say, the chicken was good but $18 for 2 tiny legs and 2 tiny thighs was disappointing. They should be selling the quarter dark for $6-$7 if the legs and thighs are that small, or throw in a cheap side and sell for $9 or $10 to avoid upsetting customers. The chicken salad on the baguette was pretty good, a bit too much Mayo for me, but maybe some like it that way but the Mayo was coming down my hands as I tried to take bites but the flavor was very good. Fries are good, too! I only took a couple photos of my fried chicken baguette, but you can see, it's fried perfect and lots of chicken on that sandwich! I'd come back just for those sandwich, minus the slaw!

This place is clean and nice. The chicken in the sandwich was a bit too salty for me. It was also a bit dry. The orange chicken was different, less breading and sweeter sauce than usual Chinese places. The salad was probably the best with fresh veggies and decent dressing. Yam was okay, nothing really impressive. The string beans were excellent, crunchy and flavorful. The tacos were decent. Almost reasonable prices and good service.

Service was very inattentive. We weren’t offered salad dressing choices, a requested dressing never arrived, and we had to ask for water refills and basic condiments. No one checked on us during the meal. The last straw was the waiter tried to rush our payment (he kept pointing at the contactless payment symbol). I'm not sure if this place has a training problem or a single waiter issue.
We have been here a few times in the past and really liked it but the last two times the food quality seemed to have gone down. Most recently we had gristly chicken strips for $18 and on the side a plain solid clump of white rice for $6. The salad we had was $25 and tasted like something in it had gone bad. I hope it goes back to how it was as the patio is nice and we have always had friendly service.
I’ve been a regular customer, but after dining Friday night, I became extremely ill—severe vomiting throughout the night. I suspect the fried vegetables or chicken may not have been prepared safely. I had to deal with a horrible cleanup at home and missed important commitments the next day. I contacted the restaurant, but the response was dismissive. I’m posting this because food safety needs to be taken seriously. I hope they address their procedures, as I would not want anyone else to go through this.
