Opinions de Broken Yolk Palm Springs
We were visiting from Sedona Arizona and decided to try a new spot and did not regret it at all. Food was amazing and the service was just as great. Liz was a great server checking on us and Roy (the owner) even chatted with us and shared some great spots to check out while visiting. The trio was so filling and great for the price. The Benedict was devoured in minutes, it was that good.
Popped in for quick breakfast before hitting the road. James F was amazing. Gave us awesome recommendations and caring service. The chiliquilles came to the table with the chips somehow still crispy!! Incredible! Their border Benedict is so yummy and inventive! Wish we had a Broken Yolk in Los Angeles, I would come here all the time!
We came to Palm Springs for the weekend, and came into broken yoke for breakfast — and it was so good, we came back again the next day! The service was top notch (Lorena?? AMAZING!). The vibe is light and friendly - great place for a fun brunch or a casual catch up. We brought a lot of energy and we. Were. MATCHED. Highly recommend. Also, the Benedicts are mix and match, wowwww.
The husband and I are in Palm Springs for a few days and were looking for a breakfast place. I saw the name on the side of the building, and we decided to try it. It's a cute place upstairs, new and clean. The server was very nice, and the menu had lots of choices. I got the sourdough egg sandwich and he got the 1/2 and 1/2 Benedict....both were delicious. We may go back tomorrow too.
We walked in and we were immediately greated by James, who was also our server. Very friendly service. Plenty of both, indoor and outdoor seating. Large parking lot to the rear of the building. My wife and I split the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast, Golden State Eggs Benedict, and the Nutella Crepes. The menu is extensive. All fabulous. Their bloody Mary, though make with wine "vodka" was excellent. The lower alcohol enabled me to drink two. I will certainly return. I highly recommend this breakfast/lunch establishment.
Excellent! Cute, clean, decor inside. Way trendier inside vs the outside of the building (parking lot and stairwell) presents. Friendly smiles. Wide variety of options on the menu. Chai tea had a lot of flavor. Crunchy French toast (with and without raspberry sauce) was very good, and neither of us could finish all 3 slices. The server was efficient and friendly. Pepsi vs Coke. (I had to go with Root Beer. No Diet Dew.) Nice patio with cool views. Mimosa specials. I would visit again!
I recently visited Broken Yolk Cafe PS Location. My daughter and I had a great experience from start to finish. The staff, especially Liz and Alexis were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I was particularly impressed with our server Alexis and her service which exceeded my expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch experience, a morning coffee date, a family breakfast. They can accommodate larger groups, they offer a kids menu, everything is within reasonable pricing. The food was exceptional, the staff attentive, and the ambiance was perfect for hosting our Mother Daughter Galentines Brunch. Highly recommended!!! We enjoyed everything about our visit to the Broken Yolk Cafe. Will definitely be coming back in the near future!
The Broken Yolk Cafe in Palm Springs is such a cute little touristy spot — the perfect mix of fun, casual, and welcoming. Richard and James made the experience absolutely awesome with their friendly service and great energy. They really went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was light and cheerful, and it’s definitely the kind of place you want to come back to on every trip. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Had great service, a bit slow but only because I feel they may have been slightly short staffed at the time we were there. The servers we had were very good and attentive. I had the smoked salmon avocado toast and then I asked for arugula, tomato and feta to be added. Special orders didn’t upset them😍. The others had the acia bowl, the yogurt parfait , and the country skillet which all said was delicious!!! And plenty of food.
Came in for breakfast and had such a great experience. The food came out fast, everything tasted fresh, and the portions were perfect. Maria was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, def a place I’d come back to!
Had a great experience!! I had the Ranchero skillet… it was delicious!! The service was excellent. Cargo was the best! He went above and beyond! Will be back. Ask for Cargo if you stop by😁
I’m just here to say Maria provided outstanding service during our visit! From the moment we sat down, she was warm and personable, taking time to answer all our questions about the menu. She was incredibly efficient even though the restaurant was busy, and made sure we had everything we needed without us having to ask. Her positive attitude and genuine care for making sure we had a great experience really stood out. The whole meal was smooth and enjoyable thanks to her attention to detail. Highly recommend asking for Maria if you visit, she’s a gem!
First time at this location. Great service from all of the staff. Our server Halen was very attentive and nice. After taken our order, I mentioned to my friend that I really like her. Was informed by another staff member it was her first day. Would have never known that. Wish her much success and hope to be see her around on our next visit!First time at this location. Definitely going back for the 3rd time!!! The fiesta burrito is very good and filling as they do not hold back, and so are the pancakes! My favorite 🥞 are buttermilk and most definitely the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes literally did not disappoint! Ask for the server Cargo He’ll take care of ya! I Highly recommended it 🙌🏾
We stopped by for breakfast at Broken Yolk Café in Palm Springs, and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the area! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt bright, cheerful, and welcoming — perfect for a relaxing Palm Springs morning. Our server Oscar was absolutely amazing. He greeted us with a warm smile, was super attentive throughout the meal, and made sure everything came out just right. He checked on us often without being intrusive, and his friendly energy made the whole experience feel personal and genuine. Honestly, Oscar alone deserves five stars — he really went above and beyond! The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. The omelets were fluffy and packed with ingredients, the pancakes were light and buttery, and the coffee kept coming hot and strong. Everything tasted homemade, not rushed, and it came out fast even though the restaurant was busy. This spot is truly a must-go for breakfast in Palm Springs. Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or you’re a local looking for a great brunch, Broken Yolk Café never disappoints. Great food, great service, and a fun, laid-back atmosphere — what more could you ask for? 🌞🥞🍳☕️ Highly recommended — and don’t forget to ask for Oscar !
We love the Broken Yolk! Delicious and abundant food. Our waiter Carlos took good care of us. Restaurant very busy but fast service. Sweet Roy the owner greeted us and wanted to make sure everything was to our liking. We’ll definitely be back again. From Dr. Feel Good and Valeria
Beautiful spot for a great brunch in Palm Springs! Love the color and ambiance! We were also warmly greeted by hostess, manager and multiple servers. Our server, Oscar, was awesome! He was friendly, funny, attentive and happy to accommodate any request! Great variety on menu, too!
Great food. Wonderfully surprised. Good prices and our Server Carlos was spot on. Had the eggs Benedict, chicken fried streak. Bloody Mary flight as well as the Mimosa flight. All very good. We will come back. The place is upstairs in downtown kinda hidden but a gem when found. Prices for the Portion is good.
We went for brunch and everything was so good! The food and service were great — definitely recommend the avocado salmon toast, it was delicious. Maria took care of us and she was super sweet, friendly, attentive, and welcoming.
I highly recommend that you go and experience this restaurant next time you are in the Palm Springs area. As you can see by my pictures, Broken Yolk Cafe as in the touristic part of Palm Springs massage, I was expecting to pay tourist rates. To my surprise, my meal was very well priced. The quality of my meal I want to say what's excellent except for one thing that they did not have fresh hot sauce or French salsa other than that it was a very good quality. I had a chorizo omelette. It was a really good choice I enjoyed very much.
We had a great experience at The Broken Yolk Café. The food, service, and setting all came together to make for a perfect breakfast. We grabbed a table with a view and watched the sunrise while we ate. That alone was worth the visit. The atmosphere was bright and comfortable, and the space was already busy but running efficiently. I ordered the El Fuego omelette and it was exactly what I wanted. Full of flavor, loaded with the right amount of spice, and topped with fresh guacamole and pico. It came with crispy hash browns and was a solid portion without being too much. My guest got the Two Eggs Plus with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and an English muffin. Simple but done well. Everything came out hot and seasoned properly. The food looked good and tasted even better. Service was fast and friendly. Our drinks were topped off without asking and everything came out in good time. The server checked in just enough without interrupting the meal or rushing us out. That balance is always appreciated. If you’re looking for a reliable breakfast spot with a view, good food, and a smooth experience, Broken Yolk is a strong pick. We would absolutely come back.
The brunch was absolutely fabulous. After a recommendation from one of the staff members at the hotel I decided to try the Broken Yolk and it was delicious. I highly recommend the Greek Omelette along with the mimosa flight. Richard and his colleagues were attentive, friendly, and were efficient even as busy as it was getting. I would definitely advise you stopping by and try to get there early as it can get busy.
Such a perfect breakfast spot in Palm Springs! The avocado toast was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned — definitely one of the best I’ve had. And the Nutella crepes? Absolutely heavenly! Light, fluffy, and filled with just the right amount of sweetness. The vibe is fun and welcoming, and the service was fast and friendly. Whether you’re kicking off your day or brunching with friends, Broken Yolk Cafe is a must-visit!
We were visiting a few days and found this yummy place. It's upstairs (elevators available too), with great views, food and atmosphere. So take a stroll off of La Plaza & Palm Canyon, look for the stairs or elevators to the left and enjoy. Yes, there is parking in the back. You won't be disappointed, the food and service will be your reward.
Spectacular avocado toast with lox, capers and pickled red onions. Every bite was flavorful. Tender toast base. Large chunks of ripe avocados. The pickled onions were just right...not too acidic. The capers were lightly salty...as they should be. Service was very attentive and kept my coffee mug full. Oh, i ordered the hash browns to eat at home. They were tender and not salty.
Cute little breakfast spot in downtown Palm Springs. Up stairs right off the main drag. The French toast trio and any of the skillets are the way to go , even though everything looked amazing. Make this a breakfast stop on your trip.
Really good food! I had the chicken and waffles Benedict. This was a creative take on one of my favorites. Lots of other fun options. We went with the whole family and everyone was happy.
We loved this place. The interior feels a bit cheap like a chain restaurant, but the service was awesome and the food we all loved. Sitting on the balcony in Palm Springs in the morning was a gorgeous view!

We arrived at 7am when they opened. We had the Mom omelet, choose two eggs Benedict, home fries (which were not what we expected…but a pleasant surprise), and biscuit and gravy. Grapefruit juice and coffee to drink. Everything was delicious and our service was wonderful.

Great food and great view from a little balcony. They let us stay for almost an hour after closing.

I’ve visited several Broken Yolk locations in San Diego, and it’s one of my favorite breakfast spots. Today was my second time at the Palm Springs location, and I love the setting. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I sat at the bar and ordered the huevos rancheros, over hard, just the way I like them. The plate came out perfect. But what really stood out was the service from Cargo. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!
had a decent experience at The Broken Yolk! I ordered the Caprese Eggs Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious — the fresh tomato, basil (on side), and balsamic drizzle really elevated the classic dish. My friend had the two eggs with potatoes, slightly burnt, and an English muffin, and everything came out hot and well-prepared. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It did get a little busy, but that’s to be expected at a popular brunch spot. Overall, definitely recommend for a satisfying and flavorful breakfast or brunch!
It's not a bad spot. The food was good, with the exception of the steak. The steak was cooked fine, but all I could test was the char of the grill and steak not seasoned, unfortunate for a spot I had high expectations for. Nevertheless, everything else was good. We enjoyed the salmon avocado toast and Nutella crepes.
I wish I could write a novel length review about my experience here. I'll save it for my book. In short, the food is delicious and fresh. It arrives quickly and beautifully served. We had Mom omelette and two different Benedicts, which on its own is really cool they you could pick two different ones for a more variated experience. Smoothie was delicious and not sweet, served with whipped cream. Coffee was absolutely excellent. Service was a whole mixed bag of feedback, waitor was so super sweet and nice but unaware of the floor bus boy was just the most welcoming sweet soul general manager witty and makes slight backhanded comments at your expense, wasn't enough to ruin it but could have done without. Decor and view and ambience amazing all around, menu creative and imaginative.
This place was quiet when we visited on a Thursday morning for some breakfast, and was within walking distance from our hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our food and felt there were plenty of options on the menu, with some lovely drinks on offer and some delicious eggs benedict variations to try! The servers were efficient and helpful, but despite it being very quiet at the time we visited, they seemed a bit under pressure and one chap appeared to be doing all of the work, hence a bit of a delay in getting some of our orders out (such as a smoothie that took a while, but was worth the wait!) but that didn't detract from the nice food and experience in general, as we were not in a rush.
Not sure I would say this is the 'best breakfast in town', but it was.pretry good. We had the American breakfast with bacon. My wife breakfast was very cool and had to be sent back. I ordered coffee and it never came. The hashbrown were not crispy at all. Everything tasted good.
Came here for breakfast. We ordered the salmon egg's benedict, a pancake on the side and two hot chai lattes. The food was excellent, especially the salmon egg's benedict. Service was a little slow, but that is expected with low staffing levels. The chai lattes were watered down and cost $8 each, so they were disappointing. My husband complained to the server and they comped one of the chai lattes to help. However, if we had known they were so poor, we would have not ordered them and just picked up some chai drinks at the Starbucks next door on our way out. Stick to the food order and avoid their expresso bar and you should be fine.

If you are visiting Palm Springs (or a resident who happens to be downtown), the location is ideal. Located on the second floor of the Plaza complex (the Mercado), one can people-watch on Palm Canyon below, while also seeing palm trees swaying in the breeze. Parking is convenient in the rear. The host and the waiter were both welcoming and helpful. The server accommodated a special request with no hesitation. The food itself was fine. There was nothing amiss, nothing to complain about, yet neither was it special in anyway. It is a chain, after all, and does not have any of the peculiar charm of a local diner.
We went here for lunch mid-week, and must say, were a bit disappointed. The service was inexplicably slow, given the restaurant was virtually empty. After our waiter arrived with water, we didn't see him again for almost 10 minutes ... at least he thanked us for our patience. Then after ordering, another long delay and an assurance that out meal would arrive shortly. We had the crispy chicken sandwich and the smoked salmon, avocado toast. While generous with the smoked salmon, for some reason the bread was not properly toasted and a bit dry. More a sandwich, than toast. As for the crispy chicken sandwich ... chicken on the sandwich was a processed rectangular-shaped offering, with a light coating of bread crumbs; not battered. It wasn't crispy at all, as it was wet and coated with an odd clear sweet BBQ glaze. As for the bun ... it was unfortunately not fresh. Accompanying onion rings were excellent! On the way out no inquiries as to how our meal was. Perhaps we just ordered wrong and should have stayed with breakfast fare, but we won't be back and will never know.
Good breakfast. I had the chicken-fried steak with scrambled eggs and potatoes. The chicken-fried steak was cooked well and the gravy had a nice flavor. The scrambled eggs were cooked well. The potatoes were a little different, like pan fried scalloped potatoes; unfortunately a lot of it was under-cooked. The service was good. The staff was friendly. The ambiance was a little loud and cold. They have all the windows and doors open, and in the early spring, it was a little too cold (food got cold fast).
I was so excited to not get talked to at the front entrance while we reviewed the menu and watched delicious drinks being served . The moment someone talked to us she advised the bar was open seating so we just strolled right in . Sitting at the bar to my surprise we waited again …. And waited . I loved it . Gave us about 10 minutes to really decide what drink we were gonna have . The vibes here are cute I do gotta give credit to that a once the servers at the bar noticed us the guy was smiles and made our drinks even though I was a dick. The drinks are all wine based and pretty darn good. Overall review . If you plan on going anywhere at a regular pace don’t come here. Slow slow slow and more slow with a smile . The food we didn’t get to so good luck . Roku city on the TV was better than sports I suppose.

Tried this restaurant while visiting Palm Springs and the service was sub-par. Seated and the server walked past the table multiple times without stopping or letting us know they were our server and would be with us shortly. Several items were incorrect and we had to constantly ask for things. Slow follow-up. Food was decent. One of our group wrote a review and received a credit, so we decided to try it again a different day with a mobile order. Ordered a simple meal (grilled cheese and two drinks) and the order took 40 minutes. We had to ask twice and it seems like it was just sitting in the kitchen. Quite a disappointing situation considering we were coming back and using a credit due to terrible service.
We called by for breakfast on our way to Indian Wells Tennis Gardens. We were seated at a table in the shade on the patio. Coffee arrived and our food orders taken fairly promptly. Coffee was topped after another few minutes. Then we were left alone. After about 30 minutes food arrived, but it was 4 plates, and different from the 3 we had ordered. After that confusion we were left alone again. When total time approached an hour I went to check if we'd been forgotten but was told "No, we had a big take-out order, and your food is almost ready". Encouraged, we waited some more. By now my shady spot was in direct sun so I had to move my seat. With time now up to 80 minutes we saw 2 other parties (who came after us) get served their food. Enough no-service for us so we left. They may have good food at Broken Yolk but I guess we'll never know.
Food was fantastic! However you are only as good as your service. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary/valentines day and it was my first time in Palm Springs. We went to the Broken Yolk for brunch before we headed back home and started with some really good mimosa flights and then started enjoying our breakfast. We then got to witness some abhorrent customer service ( I have worked in the industry for 20 years) this man that called himself the manager was very abrasive and just flat out rude to some patrons sitting next to us. They had been sat for a long time we have time stamps from pictures of the food we got that we posted on line. The woman was asking about her food a when it would be out as other tables had been served already. The man was so rude and dismissive and when the other table and us as well tried to stick up and vouch for her he completely shut us down and waved past one man like don’t talk to me! It ruined the entire experience, it became so hostile and the patrons had children and all this ugliness happened in front of them. I plan on frequenting PS in the future but I will never be back due to how absurd this situation was, even ended with him asking the woman to leave! Please fix your staff because I can’t imagine he runs 6 restaurants like he claims because no one would want to patron somewhere that treats them like inconvenient trash.
A very disappointing experience. It was 9:30 am on a Wednesday and about five tables were occupied. I asked for a glass of water when I was seated. No one came near me. After over 10 minutes, I flagged down the server who had seated me. I asked again for water. She said that someone else would bring it soon. After the water was finally delivered by another server, I ordered eggs and a well done English muffin from the original server who had seated me. More than 15 minutes later, I got my order from another server. The eggs were hot and perfectly cooked, but the English muffin was uncooked (see below) and it was served without butter. I then asked the server for butter and was told he would bring it, but It didn’t arrive and after a while, I asked the other server who told me someone else was bringing it. It was finally delivered by the manager. The barely cooked muffin was now cold and I had finished my eggs. The manager, James, was terrific. He said he had been called into a meeting and was away from the floor. He apologized and got me a new muffin. When I explained my experience to him, he comped my meal and said that he was sorry. It’s clear his presence was needed on the floor. Additional note: the owner’s response to my review was inadequate. “Sorry it got off on the wrong foot” with no acknowledgement of the delays, lousy service, or mistakes in my order. I had long finished my breakfast before I finally got the replacement English muffin.
