Adorable place, great ambiance and delicious small bites! Perfect place for a date night (partner, family or friends). Customer service is top tier, our order was input incorrectly and the server proactively took care of us without having to point out the obvious! That’s what great customer service is about, not making the customer feel like they are at fault or having them feel the need to explain themselves. 👏🏼 love the entire hotel in general, our go-to place when we visit Palm Springs!🌴💛

Absolutely gorgeous little bar tucked into the Parker Hotel. Make sure that you get reservations! The Parker is pretty exclusive, and they won’t allow you even to enter the grounds of the hotel unless you have a reservation at one of their bars or restaurants. The service was great, and we enjoyed tasting several wines and multiple tasty treats from their menu. Be sure to get the quail eggs with caviar. Absolutely amazing!

Lovely wine bar inside a hippy hotel. They have small menu but I enjoy every dish I had. I love the beef carpaccio with pickled cauliflower and truffle. Interesting wine selections.

I absolutely loved it here. Great find for amazing wines and small bites in Palm Springs. The champagne was delicious as well as the octopus. I highly recommend for all wine lovers.i couldn’t resist the fresh out of the oven bread and house made butter.

Wish Uber can deliver their foie gras macaron to my house every week. Amazing tapas menu in a medieval reflective tiny setting. It’s hiding in the gardens of the Parker Hotel. The bartenders are fantastic. Food and drinks are like the hotel design - tastefully and poetically thoughtful. Been to many places around the world, this is one of my all time favorites in Southern California. If I lived in Palm Springs, this would be my ‘reformative’ hang out place at end of the week.

You MUST get their escargot. It comes with a puff pastry on top and it was the best escargot I’ve had in a while. A cute spot at the Parker, a little hidden so ask someone to help you find it

How I love this place. I only found it because I was searching for a cheese board late at night, and I am so glad I found this place. It's small, counter being a clue. Some would call this intimate in the hopes of making lame excuses for its size but here, intimate really is the perfect adjective. I love their collection of wines and the food was incredible. Even better, the Catholic in me is enthralled at the decor and the prayer cards!

Visited Counter Reformation for the first time and all i have to say is: WOW. Edith took great care of us and was a professional and outstanding server, with amazing hospitality and a beautiful smile. The food was delectable and exquisite, I was impressed. However, the service was top tier, 10/10. If I had one reason to come back, it would be to go back and see Edith. She made us feel right at home, we will be back!!!

We had such a great time at The Counter Speakeasy! The place has such a cool vibe—awesome decor and a really fun atmosphere. Our bartender, Edith, was amazing. She clearly knows her wines and helped us pick the perfect pairings for our food. She was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Her suggestion of the spaghetti chopsticks was such a hit—it totally made our night. Great food, great drinks, and great service all around!

My wife and I recently enjoyed a relaxing staycation, and it was an absolute marvel. One evening, my wife and I decided to visit the bar for a glass of wine. The bartender Edith extensive knowledge of wine left me astounded and impressed. She was exceptionally kind and attentive to my wife and me. Although I am not particularly talkative, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the chitchat. All in all, my stay was thoroughly enjoyable, and Im excited to come back. The exceptional staff and impeccable customer service made this experience truly awesome. Thank you!

As somebody who works in hospitality and is also quite critical, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had this year. Brittany was a joy as our server. Every detail of the menu and dishes were impeccable. Some of our favorites were the Javier donuts and the lobster Bolognese. The truffle beef carpaccio was impeccable and of course, the iberrico ham was perfect. She guided us through what to order and the type of wine that we wanted. The candle light, ambiance, everything. One of the best experiences.

Counter Reformation is a tradition in Palm Springs. Use valet and validate the parking at Counter Reformation, but be sure to leave a cash tip for the valet team. Brittany, the evening host and wine-pouring industry veteran, knows how to engage with guests. She took the time to speak with each guest and know their name. Her attention to detail helps to navigate the wine selections and menu for an à la carte-like tasting of small, shareable plates. Again, it's tradition to revisit Counter Reformation for the superior small plates that don't have extra unnecessary fluff. The pictures don't do the food justice. We enjoyed the lobster bolognese on chopsticks, chicharones, hearts of palm calamari, caviar creme fraiche and quail egg, oysters, and cheese monger plate.

The event took place at the Parker Hotel in the fabulous Counter Reformation, and it was truly a hidden gem we’re so glad to have discovered! We enjoyed a wonderful selection of wines paired with delicious small bites, each beautifully crafted for the evening. A special shoutout to Edith, the incredible mixologist who guided us through the pairings like a true pro — her recommendations were spot on! As locals, we’re thrilled to have found this spot and can’t wait to go back. In October I drove out to Joshua Tree on a solo trip for my birthday. I decided to take the 24th to go experience Palm Springs since I’ve never been and was recommended by a friend to check out Counter Reformation. It was such an incredible vibe and the manager was very thoughtful and checked on me and made sure everything was to my liking. I believe the bartenders name was Bridgette and she was incredibly kind and helpful! There was also a blonde bartender whom I’m forgetting the name of, but absolutely great service! I’m so excited to plan my next trip to Palm Springs. I felt special even though I spent my birthday solo :)

Incredible experience with Brittany as our server/sommelier. We were so lucky to come in aon a Sunday night with no one else at the bar. Food had incredible complex flavors and Brittany’s wine pairings were spot on. The art and ambience is amazing and I this will definitely be a place we return to!

Not only is this place beautiful but the entire staff were incredible and attentive…oh and the food was better than any full kitchen restaurant. Bites were small but flavor was most certainly not. Had what was suppose to be a a quick one drink at counter reformation at the Parker, that quickly turned into three glasses and some food because our server, Britney, was just so warm and personable. Knew the menu and wine list so well. Her recommendations were amazing, nothing was a miss. Will definitely be back!

Edith was our waitress. She had great suggestions. Wine was so relaxing. And each one of the Tapas we enjoyed were amazing. All so different. My favorite was the garlic prawns.

We had a lovely happy hour with Edith. Very knowledgable and engaging. The food is impeccable and perfectly paired with wine. Loved the shrimp dish and the oysters. Beautiful place, beautiful experience.

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Edith at Counter Reformation. She was extremely informative, very knowledgeable on her wines and made some excellent recommendations as to the great selection of food items. Edith was amazing! She listed me all the best wines and all her recomendations to go with my wine! The highlight of the night was the spanish blend and oxtail tartantan! High recomend.

If you're looking for a restaurant with a sit down table experience, this is not the place for you as it's bar seating only. This didn't bother me much, but just something to be aware of! The food itself was ok. The Jamon was the real winner of everything we tried, which was a bit sad as it's the only thing not prepared by staff. - The macarons are overly sweet which takes away from the foie gras. - The bay oysters, while tasty are very very small on quantity, and not worth a reorder. - the jamon iberico was beautiful, although the pan tomate is prepared differently than it is in Spain (with a tomato spread instead) - the salmon wrapped in cedar was nice, but nothing exquisite. - the beef carpaccio, while tasty, is small and the truffle overpowers. The wines are beautiful, which i do believe is the real winner here! The vibe is very sweet, and the music was amazing - so there's that. It's a sweet date spot.

The place looks really really good, the experience at the wine bar was good, interesting selection of wine and food. We had a great experience. For this, the wine bar will get 5⭐. The negative part came at the end: We made a reservation through their website and cost us $57, which not appeared on the check at the end, so we just lost that money. We talked to the manager but she couldn't refund the amount. After a longer conversation she gave us 2 dessert drinks, but even like that I cannot forget that I was charged so much just to make a reservation. For this part of the experience will be 1⭐. Thank you!

Welcome to The Parker! We came on Christmas Eve to enjoy a celebratory atmosphere, but upon entering we noticed that not even a nod was given to Christmas. No decorations, no tree, no holiday display at all. We are locals and have enjoyed Counter Reformation on numerous occasions. We took a hiatus when the restaurant began a disastrous program requiring guests to pay for a seat at the bar. As if the $20 valet and $35/glass of wine in the lobby bar weren’t enough to keep guests away!😆 Apparently their deterrence efforts have been successful. Last night, on Christmas Eve, we were the only people there! The bartenders were lovely, but the food was not. Overpriced tapas with barely a bite to share between two people. The wine quality has been downgraded too. The best part of the meal was the warm bread which we took home to make sandwiches. We enjoyed a few laughs and we will never return again.

How do I start it? The bar is small and currently only allowed 10ish people, which is good. There is a rule of minimal two plates for a person. I ordered 4 different plates, the presentation is above average. However, their taste were below average. I couldn't tell what it was within the grilles cheese and I just couldn't even finish it. For sure it's on the tip of my wrong choice. Not because it tasted quite bad. It's just bad value.
