Good portions for the rolls but it's a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is fishy and that doesn't give me confidence that they have the freshest fish.

My 2nd time coming back! I really like their sushi combo, especially the blue crab hand roll that comes with it at the end. For all those food, I think the price is great! Oh! And can't forget to order their specially rolls too! Will definitely come back :)

Great quality for the price. Lunch and dinner specials for sushi is a no brainer, it's basically buy 2 get one free so it works out really well if you go there with one other person. Staff was super sweet here as opposed to most restaurants out here in general lol. Only thing I *could* say is that the ramen broth is a little too scolding hot for my taste when it first comes out.

Love, Love, Love the food here. This is my family's new favorite place to eat sushi. The bar special is a great deal with lots of delicious options. The staff are always friendly and the service is great. My only negative is the bar chairs are very uncomfortable which is unfortunate as that's the only place to sit if you'd like the bar special (and we always have someone who wants the special). Everyone I've ever taken there agrees that they are terrible seats. PLEASE, for the love of your patrons' rear ends, get better chairs! That is all.

Moved from San Diego and finally found a sushi place in the AV that is comparable. Service is excellent, large portions, take out separated nicely. Truly a gem in the AV

My husband loves some good sushi. Decided to try this place. Love, love, loved it. Its a small place but very accommodating. We sat at the bar not knowing that there are bar specials. An incentive for leaving tables free for larger groups. Tried the beef teriyaki with global plate served with white rice, miso soup, and salad. Very good and tasty. My husband had the bar pick 3 special for $25 (cheapest I've seen) for 18 piece fresh sushi. You have raw or baked options. Will definitely return during the week as they have the Monday thru Friday lunch specials.

The waiter (Vanessa) was very hospitable and kind and helped order and fill out requests (such as asking for lemons or clearing out dishes.) The sushi tasted SO GOOD. Buttery and smooth and not to fishy. Compared to other nearby resturaunts that have sushi and fish, bluemaki sushi is like you're ascending to heaven 😭❤ Would definitely come again!

Really great experience when we visited this establishment. The portions were very big and the cuts were fresh and delicious. No complaints on my part. Definitely adding this to my top favorite. Also, the prices were affordable. Great job!!

The rolls were very tasty and fresh overall, it was a good experience in a convenient location. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant, the menu has improved, and they had more choices. Food was fresh and tasty. We had the combination box with teriyaki chicken and vegetable tempura, spicy tuna roll and Dragon rolls.

Review for January 17th 2022. I am currently sampling as many sushi places in the antelope valley as possible. Bluemaki Sushi is located in the spot where the old all-you-can-eat Big Tuna place used to be at. I am definitely not guilty, to say l remember when I used to come here with palomita ( when it was big tuna) to eat. So many great memories. Besides that, the sushi here was alright. Customer service was good. Thank you for serving me.

Blue Maki is definitely our go-to spot for sushi in Palmdale! The location is super convenient, and the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. We love bringing the kids, and they always enjoy their favorite Tonkotsu Ramen with extra noodles to share. Whether you're craving sushi or ramen, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!

It's in a great safe location, away from public disturbance (you all know what I mean) and clean.

I have only recently began coming to blue Maki. I have tried several other locations in AV and nothing compares. The fish is always fresh and cold The roles are very generous portions and they always add sashimi when you order a roll not to mention the service and the detail from the sushi chefs

There's a sushi bar menu that is currently 3 for $25 for dinner option when sitting at the "sushi bar" specifically. The quality of the sushi is just as good as before the move. I marked the atmosphere short since it does lack the traditional setup with the sushi chef(s) in view, as well as the corridor to the restrooms/ the restrooms themselves being a bit unkempt. Regardless, we will still be back for the friendly staff and great food.

Usually love going to this place but it’s been a while. Service was great and the ramen as well but the cuts of fish were just too big it wasn’t really enjoyable. It wasnt what I expected . My Susie roll smelt strong of fish and it didn't taste fresh. Had to give it back. Ordered a bowl of soup next which was just ok. Prices were fair, but I don't think I'll be back. Walked in, the radio was blaring, had to ask to turn down. Waitress acted like it was her 1st day working there. Had to ask for several items. Not a great experience.

Sushi was just ok. They list crab on the menu in the rolls, but don't tell you its imitation crab, gross. Maybe that's why it tasted the way a dirty fish tank smells? Was that gobs of mayo on my rolls? I don't know, but this is a never again sushi joint for me. Nothing was really flavorful. Service was decent. Prices were about what you'd expect for a lower end sushi place.

The restaurant is clean, the portions are big, and the staffs are friendly. However, the taste was quite disappointing. Their rice was not sticky enough and maki(cutroll) was super fishy.

Great service overall, staff were very attentive. The food was a pretty presentation but the flavor and quality weren't there. Sushi wasn't the freshest, spicy tuna was too spicy and lacked flavor, takoyaki was undercooked. Unfortunately we both ended up with horrible stomach aches.

I used to order from these guys all the time. Then, they skyrocketed prices and got really stingy with orders sizes. But, after a a couple of year I decided to give them another chance. Tonight's order reminds me why I don't like them. Miso soup doesn't taste good, stingy portions, and it seems $100 order doesn't qualify for even a smudge of wasabi, after asking for it several times. Not enough chopsticks, not enough soy sauce ... not sure how much they are trying to save but they are going for it. Shame, they used to pay more attention to the customef sxperience.

I really don't care to leave bad reviews but we came last weekend with another couple and we were not impressed. Our waitress was nice but the rolls left much to be desired. My go to safe roll when trying new sushi places is the baked salmon but this one was so unappealing that I couldn't get more than 2 bites down. I've never had one with so much white sauce on it either. Out of the 5 rolls that we shared I only liked two of them and they both had the spicy tuna in them.

Do not go here since Harbour has closed! We have been going to Harbour for years and it was always on point. We gave Blue Maki a chance and it has been terrible. We paid cash for our pick up order with a sizeable tip and 3 hours later they call us demanding that we come in and pay because our order is open. We said we already paid and they said no we didn't. They called back and said sorry for the misunderstanding. What a joke. Totally unprofessional

don't know what happened. was fantastic as you can see in my comments prior. The tempura is all batter no shrimp. The noodle in the soup was falling apart soft, no bite. Ordered the albacore roll, taste like Mayo and mushy. The Cajun roll my favorite here, was not the same the spicy tuna inside was mushy. So unfortunate. Below is the old review Fish was fresh! My recommendations are the Cajun tuna and albacore special rolls. Honestly thought I was gonna regret this not at all.
