What an incredible night we had, tasting the amazing cuisine crafted by the Chef Nicolas Michel Bour and his talented team. Every dish was a masterpiece, and the flavors were out of this world. To top it all off, there was a phenomenal selection of wines, perfectly chosen by the Sommelier from The Farmhouse at Serenbe . It truly was a great experience, one that we will never forget. The whole night was simply incredible, and the level of work and dedication behind it was outstanding. Well done Inn at Serenbe ! Thank you to our server Kristen to make our night memorable ❤️

First time dining at the Farmhouse, moreover, it was for Thanksgiving Dinner. Parking was ample, location was beautiful, food was delicious, Was seated ealier than our reservation time, thankfully. Erin our server, was professional, polite and prompt to care for our needs, without asking. An amazing dining experience overall. If you've never been to The Farmhouse at Serenbe and are looking for a satisfying dining experience, in the country, then this is the spot for you. I'd recommend to All.

Excellent restaurant in a quiet corner of Serenbe at the Inn. Expensive but definitely worth the experience. Everything about this restaurant was unique and outstanding, from the service to the atmosphere to the menu and the quality and deliciousness of the meals. I highly recommend to open the piggy bank and treat yourself to a fantastic experience.

We did the tasting menu. Everything was cooked to perfection. The oysters and duck were my favorites of the meal but everything was good. We will absolutely be back.

What a beautiful moment and meal. When we live in a world full of options, it’s amazing when you come across a hidden gem. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. I enjoyed my fried chicken, curry soup, shrimp and cocktails. This restaurant feels like home. Thank you and I will return. I will also invite friends and family.

My parents wanted a special dinner to celebrate their anniversary and I found that the spring tasting menu was fitting for the occasion. Let me tell you, between the superb food, super friendly staff and the exquisite food presentation with the wine pairing, they delivered! Now, we got off to a rocky start because I had to push back the reservation so initially, there was some confusion. However, after we sat down and the staff sorted everything out, the evening was remarkable after that! We had a chef's tasting meal where wine was paired with each plate. Not only was the meal executed exceptionally, but each wine selected for each course paired superbly with what we ate! The sommelier was so knowledgeable and her passion during her explanations of each wine showed. We loved our time with her when she came to our table and knew we were in good hands with the wine. We started with a strawberry gazpacho, which was a great way to open our pallette. It opened up the taste buds for each course following, which only got better and better. The smoked leeks were good but didn't compare to what came after. The next thing we had was a wagyu tartar with capers which was excellent! It wasn't over seasoned and it paired perfectly with the wine for that plate. The next dish we had wasn't even on the menu and specially prepared for our table. We all were surprised and that ended up being our favorite dish of the night! It was halibut with mushrooms, leeks and a special sauce. Man let me tell you, that fish was cooked perfectly and every component on that plate just added to the flavor of the fish and elevated it with every bite. If I could have licked the plate, I would! It was so delicious and my parents really enjoyed that dish as well. The wine paired with it was sensational, and it also happened to be the only one my mom finished! Our 2nd favorite dish was the wagyu steak with mushrooms, smoked leeks and a sauce. Man, that steak cut like butter and when you ate it, it melted in your mouth! Truly a great dish. We finished off with a chocolate cake which was great! I don't normally eat chocolate cake but that cake was so good! It wasn't sweet and was a great way to end a perfect meal. Between the attentive and friendly staff and the customer service manager who came over and checked on us, and even explained some of our dishes to us, we were more than thrilled with this experience. We will definitely be returning again for the next tasting and recommend it to anyone we know to try it! Thank you all for the great memories and great time we had.

Was celebrating a graduation with dinner and Missa assisted us. She was amazing and attentive. The recommendations she gave were spot on. I enjoyed the Strawberry Moon beverage with bitters and it was refreshing. I also was curious and asked if they had any jelly to go with the bread and she provided pumpkin and peach jelly. Each of the jellies were truly homemade and tasty. You can’t go wrong with any menu item. Everyone one was so attentive and knowledgeable.

Stopped by the bar as it was just before dinner hours... Very pleasant experience...the bartender was very sweet allowing my mom to try a couple different wines before deciding to go with the sangria...it was delicious which we got along with the lump crab ball which didn't disappoint. There was only one so luckily we had eaten brunch a few hours before...the decor is lovely and I especially enjoyed having a view of the hotel just steps away...My mom and i walked near the pool and fire pit while enjoying the blooming foliage...

Amazing food and atmosphere! We came here on a whim for the weekend. Wondering why this place doesn’t have a Michelin star! Traveling from East Texas. We will be back.

Very nice dining experience. The menu was not what was posted on the website. Good food and great service in a elegant but casual atmosphere.

What a charming experience at The Farmhouse. The service with Leah was superb and Chef Nicholas was attentive and talented with his menu. We enjoyed the hamachi, scallops and beef short ribs! WOW! We will be back!

We had breakfast here daily (it was included)-charming, quaint seating, buffet style with eggs, chicken sausage, bacon, lox, french toast, homemade biscuits, a fresh fruit stand. They have a menu as well. The space was serene with an incredible view of their blossoming plants; the vegetable, herb farm; the chickens, pigs, and goats were in the background (that we fed thereafter, feed is at the front desk) near the pond, and enroute to the labyrinths that we meandered to afterward.

The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. Hands down. There is something natural in Serenbe that is rarely found in the US. And that is plural down to earth people that believe they can create a sustainable living while still preserving the high quality of life. Highly recommend a visit. Bring your mud boots

Awesome! Can't say enough about this place. ALL was amazing! 5 of us went for my 50 th birthday. Everything from beginning to end was perfection. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and awesome. Would highly recommend. So glad we took the drive. We will go back when we can explore more during the day!

Exellent food and service. Very nice atmosphere! Will definitely plan a weekend to stay at the inn as well in the near future. Staff were careful with social distancing and mask rules which was greatly appreciated.

We had a fantastic lunch at The Farmhouse. The place is lovely and the porch was so peaceful. Our entire meal, from drinks, to appetizers to entrees was delicious. Definitely get the fried green tomatoes. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back!

Best meal my husband and I have had in a long time. The bluefin tuna appetizer was cooked PERFECTLY, probably the best I’ve ever had. Barely any fat and melted in your mouth. My husband ate every bit of his lamb rack and I devoured the halibut. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with crispy edges. The drinks were also delicious and we love the quaint atmosphere Can’t recommend this place enough.

It was my first time having gnocchi and I must say it was truly delicious!! The chef came by after dinner shared that it was actually sweet potato gnocchi, farmed straight from the garden. I also tried the short rib which was incredibly tender and savory and brussels sprouts which were very fresh and tasty. Would highly recommended and visit again.

We had a phenomenal time at this lovely restaurant fory special birthday. The atmosphere is charming, the views of the flower filled garden are serene and the food is inventive and beautifully displayed. They were able to accommodate my various food sensitivities, and modify a dish just for me. I also received a complimentary champagne for my special day. The dessert also came with a candle. Even though it was chilly and rainy the day we visited, it was beautiful and very memorable. We will be back!

Absolutely the most amazing meal! The beef tenderloin was literally the best I have ever had and the blueberry cheesecake was beyond amazing. The service here was superb and the atmosphere is ambient and relaxing. Taylor and Queen gave us excellent service!

I travel around the world and have had many great meals. But the meal at the Farmhouse @ Serenbe had the BEST prime tenderloin I’ve ever had!!! It was cooked perfectly, so tender and juicy- yum yum!! And the service was top notch also. This is a great resort with great food and staff!

A bit overpriced but the food was excellent. Our server Leah, was even better! She was awesome! I booked for my husband’s birthday and to our surprise, we were set up in a private room, The Library room, which also had a private bathroom! Was a very nice experience.

Dined here with my husband as an impromptu birthday treat. Very pleased! We both had the tasting menu. My husband is a meat eater, and I am a vegetarian. When we asked the absolutely lovely Leah if the chef could do a vegetarian tasting menu, she said "ABSOLUTELY!". For the first course I had marinated beets, and my husband had tuna sashimi with seaweed salad. I really enjoyed the beets! Second course I had rutabaga and black truffle bisque, and he had an egg and jamon with dressed arugula. Both were excellent. Third course I had mushroom risotto, and he had the seared halibut. And the fourth course we had a napoleon pastry that had a tart citrusy cream. It was OUTSTANDING! Overall, we were so thrilled by the amazing and attentive service provided by our server, Leah. Also, we are so appreciative that they made thoughtful and delicious vegetarian cuisine. So often vegetarian dishes are an afterthought and not cohesive. Highly recommend!

Went today for lunch and had the best time. The drinks and food were AMAZING. Got the “yah filthy animal” and wow…as I told the incredible bartender Jennifer-best drink of my entire life. Had the Crab fritters for an appetizer and I will get that as long as it’s on the menu. We also had the Shrimp Po boy and Chicken sandwich with truffle fries and ate every bit of it, all cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Not just salt, real flavor! Literally made my entire day & it was my birthday so even better. We will 100% be back very, very soon.

I've been there a couple times for events and dinner and it's always good. We tried the tasting menu tonight, it was phenomenal. Hands down the "wellington" we've eaten in a long time!

j

So came here as a gift for our daughter's graduation dinner. We weren't told when we made reservations back in Sept that it would be a set menu. So once we got there, it was, and there were no substitutes. The price was 98pp. With a 78 back tip, it probably wouldn't have been so bad if we could have substituted some things my husband couldn't eat. But the wellington was delicious. Maybe not 98 bucks worth but good. Would we come back not if it's a set menu.

The Farmhouse is an extraordinary experience. Beautiful dining room and excellent wait staff. The menu is an outstanding reflection on Southern cuisine. My mushroom bisque was great. Unfortunately, my porkchop was overcooked so they don't get five stars. (I really should have sent it back.) My friend ordered the same entree and his chop was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend dining here. My overcooked meat will not deter me from returning!

Set on the whimsical grounds of Serenbe- a beautiful biophillic hamlet community. The Farmhouse is the anchor restaurant for The Inn at Serenbe. A shabby-chic farm-to-table restaurant with an upscale yet down-to-earth ambiance offering beautiful views of the Inn's lush garden from the main dining room and wonderful craft cocktails at a sleek bar. The menu has a small offering of just three or four entrees, all paired with the same three side dishes. We had the buttermilk fried chicken and blackened grouper. Both entrees were paired with collard greens with pancetta, macaroni and cheese, and okra stew (aka succotash). The food was good, not great. The grouper was cooked a bit too much and was dry. The collard greens weren't cooked enough and were a bit too tough. The okra stew was likely a farm-to-table add-on and seemed like an odd "fifth wheel." The macaroni and cheese was good, but that's the one dish most Southern restaurants know how to cook fairly well. I've had much better cuisine at the other restaurant in town, but this place wasn't too bad, just not as good as I expected. The service and staff were all phenomenal! The nicest, friendliest, and most welcoming people. We had the chocolate tart and ice cream for dessert, and it was decadent and delicious. Overall, The Farmhouse is worth a try. The grounds of the Inn are magnificent, and you will enjoy exploring Serenbe after a nice afternoon lunch. I highly recommend giving this place a shot. The Farmhouse is wonderful, and they certainly have room to grow.

First visit here. Food was delicious but portions were small. Our waiter was outstanding!

A stay at the Inn at Serenbe should always include dinner at The Farmhouse (it’s like a 30 second walk door to door). Additionally, because it’s just a quick 30 minutes south of Atlanta, dinner at The Farmhouse should happen far more frequently for us (and will!). One of the first Farm to Table restos in metro-Atlanta, most of what’s served at The Farmhouse is either local (some even on site) or regionally sourced. And with a nod to fine dining, but in a cozy renovated farmhouse setting, you could do much worse. To put it in Southern-ese “It’s good eating, y’all.” Pictured: tempura okra, grits with bacon lardon leeks, and summer squash risotto.

Not terrible but not excellent either. Whereas visiting the Serenbe area is a cool thing, this restaurant's farm to table Saturday Fried Chicken lunch failed to live up to the hype. We went for my husband's birthday. Our server was so absent that I had to get up and ask that he come check on us. That's a big red flag to me. Who found the chicken to be overcooked, over fried and bordering on burnt. The atmosphere was groovy, but having poor service overshadowed everything. While we were there only two tables of four were seated, our group and one other table. Each of us had our own server so my expectation would be that are glasses would not run out of water and that our server would stop by to check if we needed anything, where we ready for dessert, clear the plates away... None of that happened. We won't be going back and I sincerely could not recommend. I wound up being embarrassed for having hauled our family this far from home only to be greatly disappointed. At this level place I would have expected someone in management to stop by and say how are things folks? If you're going to make out like you're all that and a bag of chips, then deliver. I'm not being harsh I'm being honest, I never launch into a negative review unless it is warranted. I gave four stars for the food only because the sides were well made.

Unfortunately our entire party thought our dining experience was a 3 mainly due to the lack of service. The food was good and fairly priced and they even had some rare bourbons to drink. Serenbe is a nice relaxing farm where our food appeared to be locally grown.

L
Lisa Zook

We found this place fine. Very pricey for the food quality and service. During the whole meal no one removed our menus or extra glasses on our table. We waited over 25 minutes to pay the pull. Definitely ask for the bar menu in addition to the pricey starter/entree menu. Live music on Friday nights on the porch is the redeeming factor.

S
Sudatta Gautham

Not many vegetarian options and hope they were a little more creative to add a couple more options. Did not really enjoy the food.

C

Food was over $300 for two of us. While it was ‘ok’ it wasn’t a match for the price. This is a nice area but the Farmhouse could be better.

N
Niall Jameson

Beautiful location for atlanta. Picturesque and green set in grounds of quaint country hotel. Food is pricey but high quality and original not something you get much in exurban atlanta. A lot of locally grown stuff. You’ll pay $100 each unless you skimp all round. Just beware they’ll stick you with mandatory and unpublished 20% service fees which caught us by surprise regardless of your group size. Kind of spoilt the experience for us so not sure I’d repeat as we felt frustrated by this on top of already high prices. Also added other stuff to our check which we had to get corrected. Just seems like they’re pushing it.

We had high expectations for The Farmhouse Restaurant at Serenbe. The atmosphere is nice in an old farm house. (side note- if you are wanting to hear music on the weekends you must sit outside) Service is friendly but I would expect this caliber of restaurants that servers would be more knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered: Tomato carpaccio: really well done. Tomatoes were very fresh and flavorful. I do wish there was a bit more burrata on the dish but overall a beautiful dish which highlighted the garden Duck: one of the best preparations of duck my husband has had. Pancetta: Almost inedible. The dish had so much fat that I had about 2 bites of meat. Collard Greens were good not great. Potentially I ordered wrong but when asked I received very little guidance from waiter and was told it is a pork dish. I wish I was educated about the dish more. Free bread service was delicious and I ate way too many to compensate for my less desired entre. Overall the entrees are priced between $50-72 a head. Dessert starts at $14. For this price point I expect more. Sorry but I can't recommend this restaurant and unfortunately dining options are limited if you are staying at the inn. Side Note: Breakfast at the farmhouse is delicious!

The waitress was nice. The food on the other hand wasn't. The presentation was great. The fish was bland, boy Choi was watery and the meal was not good at all.My husband had the double cut pork chop, blue grits, collard greens meal . The only thing he liked was the greens that was the only thing that had flavor. Our over all meal was not good. Won't be going back no time soon.

We picked this place for its fame, plus saw the good reviews. The place is in a great location, the view and atmosphere (nature) was what we were after, however, the waiter barely knew the menu, the food did not taste good, the vegetables were not cooked properly or were anything special. The rib-eye was almost un edible, they were nice enough to now charge us for it. They did get our feedback, maybe it’ll get better.

M
Mallika BD

This place was a letdown. We were the only customers, and our server was incredibly friendly. However, the food was far from what we had anticipated. The tomato bisque was horribly acidic, reminiscent of canned tomatoes or soup that had been doctored. There was no fat to counteract the acidity, not even a drizzle of olive oil, shaved Parmesan, or croutons. The Asian salad tasted like pure vinegar. Again, there should have been a balance of fat, acid, and salt. To make matters worse, the couple slices of avocado were partly brown. I had hoped for fresh bread to help neutralize the acidity, but I received grocery store bread with that generic taste. Not an organic or even fresh experience.

J
Jonathan Merrell

Not worth it. Service was extremely slow. The waitress was not very knowledgeable about the menu. They didn’t take any of the empty plates, glasses, bread bowls or used silverware. I had to ask them to remove them because the table was getting cramped. Also had to ask for refills even when she came to the able a few times. The food was sub par. I got the strip loin and they didn’t even give me a steak knife. I just made do with my bread knife. My girlfriend got the stuffed squash. It was extremely small. The bed of greens it was on top of looked like weeds you would pull from the yard. The grounds and atmosphere were nice. You would just expect a place like this to have better service and food quality. Definitely won’t be going back.

C
Cameron Gentile

Customer service is very good. The downside was the food. I had their duck breast entrée. The fat cap on the breast was like rubber with very little rendering. The meat was under seasoned, and there was some type of berry compote that they did not bother to remove the seeds. Every time you took a bite, you had a seed getting stuck in your tooth or crunching. Very unappetizing. Price to proportion size is also out of line.

We decided to go to Serenbe this evening. This was one of the two open restaurants. First impression - the place was ok, nothing special. The glasses for water on the table were extremely dirty. We are 2 adults and 1 kid (12 yrs old). Ordered 3 different types of food. My wife got fish - absolutely tasteless - it was like being boiled. My son got duck - undercooked. I got stake which actually was good. We also had one salad to share, beef carpaccio, 1 orange juice, 2 beers and 1 cocktail. The bill was $270. I would say overpriced for the food quality and the service. Also the menu was extremely limited. I don't mind paying couple hundred $ for dinner , but expect to receive more.

I don’t know if The Farmhouse has changed owners or chefs, but it was gotten horribly pretentious over the years. Literal definition of the kind of restaurant the movie “The Menu” slams and pokes fun at. Service was great as it has always been. Oh and they let another party bring a dog into the dinning room, take that for what you will. I remember when they were all about elevated home cooked Whole Foods, “from farm to table”. my partner and I had 3 appetizers because we were not going to pay $75 for a pork tenderloin dish. We are glad we didn’t spend more than we did tonight because what we had, we severely over paid for. $4 for a sweet tea the size of the small water cups and no refill either. “Tomato carpaccio” Poorly sliced tomatoes drizzled in pretentious oil and topped with halved cherry tomatoes and pearl onions. Micro greens, need I say more? And that’s not an over exaggeration. $24 “Saint Anne Oysters” oysters the size of a child’s thumb. Lemon on a bed of finishing salt. Literally smaller than a wedge of lemon..$25 “Lump crab cake” Singular crab cake, under seasoned, deep fried, on a broken emulsion sauce of some kind, probably aioli. A couple of thinly sliced radishes and lettuce that seem liked it came from a salad kit from the grocery store. $32 we left still hungry, highly disappointed to the nearest whataburger. The best thing we had for dinner was the butter for the mediocre rolls and my bourbon. if you’re a manager and reading this, go ahead and push through our refund because it was seriously 0/5 Anyone eating here is a winning combination of full of it, pretentious, and doesn’t understand the value of money. I can not in good conscience recommend anyone going there.

I want to preface this by saying that these reviews are truly misleading. Either that, or I’m a snob - but I’m not. Prior to our visit yesterday, I had only been back once in the last few years - in 2023 - which also left me confused and disappointed at how lackluster the experience was. I came with two of my colleagues and was embarrassed because i could see they were disappointed as well. It felt like we were at a 2-star restaurant, where before it always felt like a 4-star. The last time I had been prior to that - perhaps 2017 or so- the place was packed for Sunday brunch, and the food and service was so good. You couldnt even get a reservation in those days. Yesterday, we felt like we got robbed. We were in and out of there so fast that we had our check in less than 20 minutes after our order was placed. We wanted out of there! Almost $100 later, we left feeling so disappointed, and frustrated that we just spent that amount of money for food that was worth maybe $40 total. We got home and both of us had upset stomachs and then the runs some hours later. The food looked like a scene out of Picadilly. The trout seemed old and flavorless. The meat dish was horrible! The delicious biscuits that once were, have been replaced with some flavorless and body-less mush. The fried pita? Who decided this was a good idea to add to the menu? The most edible thing was the little salad that looked like an afterthought. Where is the pride in this place? Who is running the kitchen? Chef, are you awake? The staff,: “I gotchu bruh”, is not okay for a place of this caliber. Our much-needed afternoon out to celebrate was ruined. We couldn’t even enjoy our time at Serenbe as planned. We got juice afterwards and immediately left. We suddenly lost our taste for anything Serenbe had to offer and we were pissed about that! I don’t know if or when this place changed hands, but it’s gone in the wrong direction. I’ve worked in food and beverage for my whole adult life, and I can categorically say that this place is trash. Take it out of Serenbe and it’s a strip mall mom and pop eatery like any other. We didn’t even bother talking to a manager because it was clear that there was no effective management running this place. Will definitely never return.

E
Elisabeth Escarra

The atmosphere is very cute, our waitress was attentive and kind, but the food was bad. To start, my water glass had lipstick from a previous guest, which happens, but not what you’d expect from a restaurant like this. We ordered the poutine as an appetizer which was decent, but not great. My husband ordered halibut, which was cooked well but lacking in flavor and I ordered the scallops which neither my husband or I could eat. For the price, this food is absolutely not worth it. I would potentially recommend this establishment for drinks and a nice atmosphere but the food is terrible and overpriced

E
Emma Gordon

We had a 7:45 reservation that the restaurant pushed to 8:00 as we worked out transportation. At first, things looked promising—the restaurant even had car chargers for electric vehicles, which was convenient. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. We waited 50 minutes just to get a drink. Our server, was very sweet, but clearly overwhelmed. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things like water refills, and one of our guests went 20 minutes without water despite multiple asks. Some guests ordered wine that never arrived—though to our server’s credit, we weren’t charged for it, which I suppose was the one small positive. The restaurant was not busy, and the bar had 2 small groups when we checked, yet we still had to beg for drinks. When we asked about appetizers, we were told the portions would be enough—only to receive small sized portions to share for our group that weren’t even close to enough. One appetizer we ordered was described to us as being centered around okra, which was the main reason we chose it. When it came out with no okra, we asked our server why and received no response. On top of that, the restaurant was out of several menu items, which was very disappointing. When we asked our server for alternatives, none were offered, leaving us to figure it out ourselves. To make matters worse, some of the food that did arrive was served cold. We politely asked multiple times if our waitress could get some support, since we couldn’t even place another drink order after waiting 20 minutes. The service never improved. For a restaurant charging upscale prices, this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had- it wasn’t our server’s fault though! She was very nice and tried her best! We were also there celebrating three birthdays, and the staff didn’t acknowledge this until the very end. It felt like an afterthought, which was disappointing. Overall, between the painfully slow service, cold food, missing items, and lack of care for the guest experience, we left extremely disappointed. I will not be returning.
