Fun Happy Hour menu. We had the wagu sliders, popcorn chicken, and mushroom quesadilla. All delicious and reasonably priced.
Had a breakfast on Saturday, to celebrate a friend's Birthday. Four things worth noting. The remodel is new, clean and attractive. The meals are appealing, bountiful and delicious. The four of us cost less than $25 each. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this well known hidden jewel.
Dinah’s Poolside Restaurant offers a truly delightful dining experience, standing out not only for its great service but also for its wonderfully relaxing ambiance; the setting is quaint and full of character, creating a peaceful, nostalgic atmosphere right by the water. While the entire menu is appealing, the absolute must-try is their phenomenal corned beef hash, which is perfectly seasoned, wonderfully crisp, and clearly homemade, making it a standout dish that solidifies Dinah's as a charming hidden gem.
Poolside seating is covered and has heaters, so was pleasant even on a cool day.
It's like being on vacation and you really are in town. Themed rooms, great food served poolside, a nice reprieve from busy life! A great find!
I come to Palo Alto for work frequently and this is by far the best place to stay and eat. Every meal I have had is delicious with high quality ingredients. The service is very attentive amd friendly and the rooms are extremely clean, well decorated and comfortable. Plus the gardens are beautiful and relaxing. I come here for work, but it's like a vacation staying here
Went here for dinner. Stayed nearby in a hotel that didn’t have a restaurant. I travel a lot and they had the best maybe the best brussel sprouts I have ever had. The following wagyu burger did not disappoint. The peaceful atmosphere was great too. As someone always traveling, always on the go, it was a very nice break from the constant go go go.
This was the shining star of an otherwise really bad day. The food was phenomenal, service was top shelf. My wife had been craving fish and chips with fresh fish and oh my God! I will not be able to eat fish and chips in Reno for at least 6 months. We are so glad we found this place and will definitely be coming back whenever we are anywhere close to Palo Alto!
Great place to stay!! The property is so beautiful with all the trees and flowers around and the lagoon with ducks and Koi fish. The food is fantastic we have had everything on the menu everything has great flavor. Appetizers the Sriracha chicken and Brussel sprouts are amazing!!
We were staying at the hotel part of this restaurant and decided to have dinner when we booked in late. We made reservations, but the place had plenty of tables to go around. It was a little too chilly for the covered patio even tho it was a heated patio so we sat inside. It smelled like a greasy spoon with a strong burger smell. We were seated right away and given menus. The menu really does range from poolside items like popcorn, chicken to nicer fare like a petite fillet. We ordered truffle fries to start and they were pretty greasy, but otherwise good. We weren’t too confident at this point, but we ordered the salmon and the petite fillet anyways. When they arrived, they were absolutely beautiful, like a fine dining experience. They tasted very, very good! We were quite surprised and happy and finished everything on our plate. The next day I ordered veggie tempura for room service and it was greasy just like the french fries. It seems like if you stay away from the fried food, you’ll be good to go here. I can’t speak for the Drinks, but the service was super kind and warm and efficient. It’s not a fancy place, but they do have fancy food.
Attached to Dinah's Garden hotel, this restaurant is one of the few hotel restaurants I would recommend visiting even if you're not staying at the hotel. That's a decent variety of classic food, burgers, pasta, chowder, ribs, steaks, corn fritters, their famous chicken. The strong fries are also very moorish. Most importantly the food was reasonable value, not gouging like most hotels. We ate there about 3 times and the service was impeccable. You're seated around the pool so it's quite a pleasant atmosphere.
Restaurant review only as we stopped by to have a cocktail and Dinah's salad w/chicken as we were going to The Sea later for dinner. The service was good except for they forgot to give us silverware. The Mimosa and Mai Tai were very good and so was the salad. We split the salad and it was a generous portion. The eating area was nice and relaxing as the weather was sunny. The dining area is next to the pool. If it gets cold they have heat lamps. We've been back a couple of times, and our server Oscar is excellent! We've eaten the Baby back ribs, Claudia cob salad, Dinah's salad, Fish & Chips, Wagyu burger. All were very good, but the Baby back ribs, Wagyu burger, and Fish & Chips were delicious! There's also a lagoon in the back with koi fish. We went to eat, drink and relax again on Sunday. Fortunately, Oscar was working and was our server again. We arrived during the limited dinner menu, so we had a cocktail and wine with the delicious baby back ribs! At 4:00 we were able to order from the dinner menu. Oscar gave us these really good garlic rolls with parmesan. For dinner we ate the Spaghetti all’ Arrabbiata and meatloaf. Both were really delicious. One thing to mention is that the Spaghetti is a little spicy. Another really good time at Dinah's!! Recently went again for lunch and sat outside of course. We enjoyed the Baby Back ribs, White Albacore Tuna Melt and Dinah's Fried chicken.
Wasn't staying at the hotel. Merely stopped by for breakfast. The restaurant was busy at around 9:30am on a Saturday, but not overwhelmingly so. The food was nice, service was good and (sufficiently) prompt. Overall 4 stars. A good option considering there were not many similarly nice spots nearby, at least according to Google maps.
Love this place! Eat here everyday. Servers are excellent and so is food!!
Only went to the restaurant. Ordered flan. Never got my water refilled and they were out of what I wanted to drink. Total was less than $11 and when I gave the server a $20, they had the nerve to ask if I wanted to change, as if I'm going to tip 90% when you didn't even bother to visit the table once during the time I was waiting
Pretty hotel, kind of like an 80's resort vibe. We meandered to restaurant for breakfast. We waited a couple minutes by the "wait to be seated" sign and was told to choose a table. A few minutes more and we got a drinks order and meals ordered. We chose to share an omelette with linguica and fried potatoes. Also shared an eggs benedict with hash browns. Also ordered 2 coffees and a tea. The food was tasty, the linguica and bit salty. Coffee was good, it would have been cool to get a second cup but they only had one server so he seemed stretched. The flowers in the garden are pretty.
Love this place. The pool is lovely. Staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food selection is good. The five stars tonight was the Brownie with cream. Swoon-worthy. My Wagu hamburger was juicy and red. The lettuce and tomatoes didn’t deserve it.
Came here for dinner and sat by the fireplace. The service was good, though if it's busy, you'll wanna be ready to flag down a server. The food was alright. Very par for the course for a hotel restaurant. I had their patented fried chicken and thought it could've used more seasoning. It's the consistency of a fish and chip, so take that as you will. Being by the pool, you can expect to see and hear kids running around. Parking was fine, though only a small part of the lot is reserved for the restaurant
This place was alright. Per the reviews I expected better. The service was okay she was very nice but forgot my husband's toast. He ordered the boss omelet and I ordered the Benedict. My English muffin was not toasted at all! This made it tough to cut. We did not Stay at the hotel but looked nice. Convenient okay place if you're staying at the hotel.
There was no quality in the food and it was very small. The eggs were so small, I could not see them on the plate....hahaha
We stopped in for poolside drinks. The atmosphere was nice. The drinks arrived promptly. We decided not to order food. We were overcharged for the drinks. We attempted to have the server correct the error. He corrected the error, but refused to give us a receipt showing that the overcharge had been reversed. His attitude towards us, as customers, was argumentative, sarcastic and unacceptable. In the end, we were charged the correct amount, but I probably won't ever go back there
We called Saturday and made reservation for Sunday breakfast but the lady said the 10:00 am is all booked so she put us down for 10:30 am. We got there at 10:00 thinking that we have to wait for our table. A couple whom arrived a minute before us got seated immediately without having a reservation. We also got seated at 10:00 am. We also noticed they were not busy and there were plenty of tables available which the guy told us go ahead and take which ever table we’d like!! Service was lousy. We felt like we were forgotten. It took a while for them to take our order. They never came to our table to ask if we wanted coffee refill. We had to flag one server down before we get refill. Food looked good but was ordinary and nothing to write home about. Hope others have better experience than we did.
