Food is what you would expect of Asian cuisine in a small Texas town, not really Chinese, kind of ChineAmerican. Not enough heat or spice, probably dulled down for American tastebuds. Best Asian food in town though.

The only good Chinese Buffet left in the area! Prices are good for the amount and variety of food! Friendly owners and staff will help if you need anything - but basically just leave you to enjoy!

I can always find something to enjoy at China Star. Sometimes, I just like to eat somewhere that has a buffet with many choices. The steak & broccoli never disappoint. The jalapeño chichen is good, too.

We went in between seatings. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Granted, no tray had a lot of food in it, but whenever it did run out, it was immediately refilled. All of it tasted great. They also had a good selection. We went at 2:00 pm. Very enjoyable meal. The waitress was awesome as well. Clearing plates, refilled drinks.

I took my daughter to eat here. Chinese food is our favorite! They have a huge buffet with a large variety of food. They also have a salad and dessert bar! And to top it off, they have soft serve ice cream! The service is excellent and the staff is very polite!

Food was pretty decent for the small selection they had I loved the noodles, chicken with broccoli and even the egg rolls but that was about it not a wide selection as some of the buffets I’ve been too.

The establishment is clean with a quiet atmosphere, and friendly service. That is why I gave 2 stars. The food is old, cold, and I actually felt ill after eating here. I am pretty sure the chicken in the sesame chicken was ruint. Also I overheard a lady at another table telling her spouse "Do not eat that shrimp" 🤕 I wish I had known about my food. It was a good price for our party of 4. But, obviously, we will not be going back.

Bad experience…a baby roach was in my egg drop soup.

Outdated. I did not like this food at all. Huge place but limited selection of food. I did not eat the food. I got up and left after fixing. Paid 32$ for nothing. Will not be back.

Show up at 7:30 get seated but once goto walk to Buffett there’s no food at all just scraps & they it signs saying please only take what you can eat which okay I get that but I don’t get just having scraps for people to eat I just put plate down informed then we would not be staying they proceeded to charge me $6 for 3 drinks that we never physically put our hands on. Makes no sense to be open if not gonna put good out & charge for drinks no one touched & didn’t even try to ask us why we didn’t wanna stay & eat like they was just whatever about it.

They have no FOOD here at all. Pepper steak had one or two different pieces of meat in the whole buffet container. I waited forever then to refill it, they never did. I asked for a refund as I’m not getting anything I paid for. I couldn’t wait any longer as I had an hour for lunch from work. Just said no. Full price for no lunch, nothing at all for me to eat. Ate here at least a few times per month beforehand. Haven’t been back since. 0/0 would not recommend
