My recent dinner at The Alpinist was nothing short of exceptional, easily ranking among my best dining experiences ever. From the moment we walked in, the warmth and attentiveness of the entire team made us feel like honored guests at a family gathering. The owners have created something truly special here. Their passion is evident in every detail, from the cozy, inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service. The staff was not only professional but genuinely accommodating and kind, anticipating needs without being intrusive. Now, the food was absolutely spectacular. The steak was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and flavorful. The schnitzel was a revelation, wonderfully crispy and juicy. And the fondue was the decadent, communal highlight we hoped for, rich and perfectly balanced. What sets The Alpinist apart isn't just the outstanding food, but the palpable feeling of care and hospitality. It's a rare gem where excellent cuisine meets the heart of family-style service. We cannot wait to return.

A Culinary Highlight in Deer Valley The Alpinist is conveniently located right inside the Deer Valley Club, and it was so good we dined there on both our first and last nights. The meals were exceptional, and the kitchen was impressively flexible with menu requests. On our first night, we tried the 'Swimming Yesterday'—the featured Arctic Char was incredibly fresh and delicious. For our final dinner, we went with the Bison, and it literally melted in our mouths. Beyond the food, the service was top-tier. Our waitress, Our waitress Ali, was outstanding and very helpful in guiding our selections. We will definitely be returning next year!

Excellent menu opportunities, presentation, ambiance, and location in Silver Lake in Upper Deer Valley. We dine here three to five times a month with friends or just quietly for our private pleasure. Though I’d selfishly love to keep this almost secret dining treasure for ourselves, it is not to be missed by those who are willing to explore the Upper Valley.

This place is amazing. The staff is top notch and treats everyone like royalty. The food is outstanding and priced very reasonably. The decor is also gorgeous. Truly a great experience, I hope this place continues to get the attention it deserves!

Wonderfully different, unique setting, and a dedicated owner/chef Andre make this a must for fine dining in Park City. Beautifully prepared and delicious, choose from two prix fixe selections. Also Ala carte for smaller appetites and a broad thoughtful wine list.

Nice new restaurant. They are working out the details on service and menu (which is very limited). Very reasonably priced for park city and dear valley which got it an extra star. We will try again after some time to see if it settles into a rhythm.

High end hidden spot accessible via Ski, but it’s clearly new and has some stuff to figure out: - It’s challenging to find it when skiing in, and the website doesn’t give you clear directions. At least they have a greeter outside, but even once you get inside the building it’s a labyrinth to get in and out. Pro tip: take Homestake lift and hug skiers right until you find an Alpinist sign on the side once you’re almost back to Silverlake - The staff didn’t show us how to get out and we got lost inside the maze of a building trying to get back to the slopes - The front entrance to the resto smells bad, like a barn - The idea of a 3 course lunch special is awesome, but the beef kebab had 3 tiny cubes of meat. It’s probably 2oz of beef max, which is an insulting amount of meat for a main. I think most guests would be willing to pay more for a normal portion of meat, if the restaurant is worried about margin on a lunch special. The raclette was tasty, and this place has great potential once it irons out its kinks!

Truly a terrible experience. Would give it less than 1 star if it were possible. While the setting was nice and the servers were pleasant, everything else was a disaster. Upon receiving soup and asking for salt and pepper, it took 10 minutes for them to arrive - by then the soup was cold. Racklette was served with the cheese that was cold and lumpy and dumped indiscriminately on the plate. When properly executed the cheese should be melted (not cold) onto *some* of the items on the plate - not pickles which are supposed to be pallette cleansers. My chicken schnitzel was uncooked inside and flavorless - no amount of salt could bring it to life. The fondue tasted good, but there was literally 1/2” of it in a big pot. When I asked for the manager, before I had a chance to explain our concerns, he just yanked my schnitzel away and left to replace it. Needless to say no one apologized or attempted any other mitigation. On a re-read, this review is a lot more positive than how we felt - can’t recall a comparably bad experience.
