I had absolutely an amazing experience here. First thing first, their dishes were exceptional. All the dishes were not only tasty but also very thoroughly cooked. The plates itself were beautifully presented (you can taste with your eyes), flavors were unique and well seasoned in its own special way, and all the dishes made me feel that the chef did put his heart into each plate. Not many restaurants offer this warm and thoughtful dishes that make you want to see who cooked the dishes on the table. Their cocktail was very impressive as well. I tried their huckleberries cocktail, it was nicely smoky and refreshing. And all the people who work there were all great people. They had an amazing service, they engaged thoughtfully with my toddler son. Overall, we had an amazing time there!! If you love food, this is definitely the place to go!!!
Amazing dinner! The atmosphere was very calm and modern. They have yummy cocktails and mocktails. Dinner was excellent! We started with the Spanish octopus and then I had bison while my husband had the ragu elk special. If you like good drinks and meat, this is the place to go.
Twisted Fern in Park City, Utah, is a standout spot that impressed us from start to finish—and that’s saying something, since we come from a celiac household and are both pretty devoted foodies. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at ease about gluten-free options, and it was clear they took dietary needs seriously without sacrificing flavor or creativity. What really blew us away was the sheer inventiveness of the dishes. Each plate was a delightful surprise, packed with bold flavors and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Even as seasoned food lovers, my wife and I found ourselves genuinely impressed at how carefully crafted and delicious everything was. In short, if you’re looking for a restaurant that can cater to gluten-free needs without missing a beat—and still deliver a truly memorable, flavor-packed meal—Twisted Fern is a must-visit.
Amazing restaurant with quality cooking and amazing flavors. The wine list is as comprehensive as the food menu, and the options for 5oz and 8oz pours were appreciated. Come here for a menu focused on vegetables and proteins all at reasonable prices.
Nice restaurant in a strip mall. Went here for a dinner with a friend and my son. Good food and good service. Nice atmosphere. We were able to walk in and eat but it was in November before the ski season started so not sure if it gets real busy later.
It was a pleasure to bring in my birthday with the support and skill of the Twisted Fern team and my friends. Their food was incredible! They have several vegan and pescatarian options; all of them were flavorful and delicious!
We had a delicious vegetarian dinner at Twisted Fern. We had the crispy chickpeas, Roasted Beets and Squash, Baked Brie, Local Pear Salad and the Malfadine pasta, which was one of the most unique and delicious vegetarian pasta dishes we've ever had! Loved the other dishes, too, and the service was great.
I admit that my expectations were low when we pulled into a retail strip center parking lot of the restaurant my wife had picked for dinner. But I was completely impressed by the dining experience. Our server, Cody, was friendly and knowledgeable. And the food was exceptional. We started with the baked Brie and cocktail. For dinner, we enjoyed the cauliflower, roasted carrots, and brussels sprouts with kimchi, all paired with a hearty Spanish red wine recommended by our server. The Twisted Fern is an elevated culinary experience for locals and visitors alike.
Modern American cuisine from a very talented chef, Adam Ross in the park city area! The place has a high-class modern look but nothing crazy with natural lighting being a small quaint but inviting vibe; I didn’t feel cramped with a party of 8. There is a myriad of food options, inviting cocktails, and a nicely put together wine list that lets you know there is genuinely alot of effort from the owner and staff. The service is endearing and correctly attentive and they decanted my bottle of châteauneuf-du-pape I requested well. The starters are all excellent, Brussels sprouts with the kimchi is exciting and so tasty and the Foccacia would please anyone when paired with the accompanying whipped ricotta and balsamic/olive oil. While I loved the Harissa brown sugar lamb ribs I wish they had a little more meat. The entrees were all stellar with the start of the show being the Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Chicken Coq Au Vin. The Duck is so tender with the confit duck fried black rice, apricot herb chutney just enlightening the whole dish. The Chicken Coq Au Vin is rich and filling with a very generous portion I don’t think anybody could not love this. The Elk is probably the best I’ve ever and was brilliantly cooked but the cherry compote and curry is just complimenting the elk wonderfully. Lastly the trout was fresh and similarly to the rest was a great meal with the Black rice-quinoa being so unique and the green dressing with tomato pesto just brings the whole dish to life! All the desserts are unique and wonderful with the accompanying wine pairings being great! I’m a Level 2 Somm and I was with guest that can be hard to please at times and had no complaints from anyone our whole service. This was a wonderful meal and service through and through!
Don’t write this place off because it’s off the beaten path. This may have been the best dinner we had in Park City. Everything we ordered was delicious. The pork chop, the scallops, the duck breast were all absolutely incredible. Really enjoyed our drinks too!
Twisted Fern is a wonderful dining experience in Park City. The service was impeccable—the water was refilled, the server was very attentive to when conversations were happening and creating a nice flow to the meal. We started with the homemade focaccia & Brussels sprouts. I ordered the penne ragu which was very well made. Two of our group ordered the trout and they loved it. Additionally the hamburger and the other pasta. We got the brownie sundae for dessert.
Im visiting Utah for the first time and I found out about The Twisted Fern through multiple blogs and reviews for best restaurants in the area. As the first place we decided to try out while here I know it’s going to give all the other options a run for their money. Between the atmosphere, service and food they definitely earned their stars. 10/10. The dishes were artistically presented and matched with delicious flavor. Would go back and recommend to anyone stopping in the area. We got the octopus appetizer, pork ragù, pasta fagioli, Utah elk, and roasted duck breast + some fun drinks. They seemed to have a lot of great vegetarian options too. My group was very impressed and our bellies are happy & full.
I asked for a few minutes to decide a drink, but the server never came back for my order. The food was great, however, and the view was pretty good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely go to this place again my next time in Park City.
I tried this place for supper on a weekday and was able to get a table quickly. Drinks were decent and the Bison dish was amazing! The presentation of the food was also so pretty! Highly recommend trying this place!
Came for a birthday and the staff was amazing. Let us host a large group and the service was fast, friendly, and helpful. Really awesome seasonal menu with local options. Quality was great and portion sizes were generous. They have a full bar with lots of wine options as well. Highly recommend.
This was a phenomenal dinner for 4 people. The executive chef is a true foodie and he is not about to just feed you a great dinner. It’s about a truly gourmet experience at reasonable prices. The service was great. Our waiter knew the menu thoroughly, was informative and gave great suggestions. Dishes that stood out were : Elk, Mushroom fritters, smoked trout dip, grilled octopus, Brussels sprouts. The desserts were the proverbial cherry on the top of the dining experience. We ordered hazelnut bread pudding with walnut cream, and chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. The cocktails were delicious. We really loved the Honey Peartini. Highly recommend it! If you are in the area and even if you are not, this restaurant is a destination.
Came for Mother's Day and Julia our server took great care of us. Food and drinks were excellent. Spice level was just right. Patio was beautiful.
All of our appetizers were delicious! We had the trout dip, baked Brie, and the roasted carrots. Entrees: elk ragu, trout, and the bison were equally tasty. I did not have a cocktail, but the rest of my party were very pleased with their cocktail choices. We all shared the olive oil cake and the brownie sundae for dessert. Each very different, but satisfying. Brownie sundae was definitely my favorite though. Our server was super attentive and pleasant, even though it was getting pretty busy by the time we left. Would definitely return.
The sources of elk are unpredictable. Call ahead if this is your game. Reservations are needed during weekends and high season. The pork chop was a delicious alternative to elk. The octopus was also cooked to perfection. I recommend different bread options for the brie. The dessert selections need to be elevated to match the level offered in the entrees. The present choices are very pedestrian. It's location is very near downtown while avoiding the congestion on Main Street. Kudos to Julia our server and Joe the manager.
I think it's overrated, the dishes are well presented, eye-catching, and the menu is interesting, but there are way too many things going on the plate. Some editing will make things much better. Take the Spanish Octopus, it was over charred and a little overcooked, and look how busy that plate is, it has like 8 different things going on, and Spanish-style octopus is simple, just some potatoes, paprika and olive oil, that's it. I'm not saying that they should do it that way, experimenting it's great, but again, just focus on how to properly prepare the octopus and remove like 3-4 ingredients and it could be great. Same goes for the other dishes, we had the duck and elk, which had undercooked broccolini. Service was good but left disappointed.
