Food was absolutely phenomenal. Pictured is the “California Benedict”. My husband had the brisket Benedict, son had the kids French toast. All three meals far exceeded our expectations. Waitress was kind and patient. Will return again 100%.
The hub and spoke diner is a great place to go to get breakfast and lunch. They have free parking in front of the entrance. The food was really good, but the seasonal fruit just ended up being an orange. The person I was with loved the grits.
I really enjoyed this place!! It’s a great brunch spot for friends/family with a solid array of options to choose from. Service was good, food was good – I don’t really have anything else to say, except try the sour cream pancakes!
Arrived for brunch was super busy but got a table outside which was Ideal as we had a dog with us. Unfortunately quite a wait to be served but once I asked why has a big apology and some complimentary pop tarts. Once we ordered, our meals arrived quickly and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and very generous portions. Highly recommend.
Amazing brunch menu, with something for everyone and the most unique mimosa flavors anywhere. The juices are so fresh and the lemonade is so good it's like you had to wait in line at the state fair to get it. The red velvet pancakes are super fun! Service is fantastic and they even got us in without a reservation pretty quickly. Something to note, is that they cannot sell alcohol before a certain time by Utah law, so if your an early bird on vacation thinking you can stop here for brunch before heading to Park City, mimosas won't be on your table before 10:30am. Not the restaurant's fault, but lesson learned as a Floridian. 🙃🍊🍾
My boyfriend and I love this place. We've been 4 or 5 times now and each time has been wonderful, so they're definitely consistent. We've only tried the breakfast foods, none of the sandwiches or other things.
This place is AMAZING, seriously one of the best tasting, most comforting breakfasts ever. First, just like a lot of good Salt Lake City restaurants, it's located in an older part of town near a great residential area. It's a one of a kind diner. The food was so good. We ordered the lemon pound cake french toast, biscuits and gravy, and the all-star was the Kentucky Hot Brown. I had never heard of that before, but that was a perfect brunch meal. The turkey was was super flavorful, the bechamel sauce was rich and creamy, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I can't say enough good things about that dish, it was like a tasty hug. Can't wake to drive up and eat again!
Delicious breakfast options. They had a few twists on Eggs Benedict. I tried the brisket version. So good!! The atmosphere was an old school diner with modern splashes here and there. It works nicely together. We were visiting Salt Lake, and they definitely left a great impression. If we are in the area again, it's a must to go back!
Creative American food fare with generous portion sizes. I had the chicken and waffles; the chicken was juicy with a perfectly seasoned crunch while the waffle was light and crisp. The chicken was topped with a sunnyside up egg, nice touch, and had a side of syrup that was simple and not to sweet. Wonderful experience and reasonably priced.
I've been to Hub and Spoke countless times including before and after my wedding. It is by far the best breakfast restaurant in Utah and everything here is top quality. This Valentine's I made a reservation and even though we were late due to a flat tire, we were seated immediately. Food was excellent, the waffle was so good I ate it before I could snap a picture. The potatoes and chicken pictured lasted maybe another 2 minutes before I cleaned that perfect plate. I would recommend this place above all other in SLC. It's that good. Get the chicken/waffles or a Benedict they are S-TIER
Ok I’m not a huge breakfast person, but I loved coming here for brunch. I got the chicken and waffles and they were so delicious! They came out so hot and fresh, the chicken was so crispy, and the potatoes were perfect. So the food for me- fantastic. The service was also really amazing as well! The only thing I would say (and this isn’t anyone’s fault) is that it gets pretty busy on the weekends so it might be worth it to make a reservation (though wait times aren’t too bad). I’d strongly recommend!
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! We ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown, Chicken and Waffle, and French Toast. Everything tasted really good and the portions were generous. Staff was really nice and attentive as well. Will definitely be coming back!
The Hub and Spoke Diner is a great spot for a casual meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is tasty. I especially recommend their burgers and milkshakes. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. Give it a try!
Everything on the menu is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection!!! The Shrimp and Grits is a must try!! My classic eggs benedict was PERFECT!!! The service is great and I love the laid back atmosphere. Their variety of brunch items is amazing. I will definitely come back❤
Hub and Spoke Diner was an amazing experience! The shrimp and grits was packed with a unique combination of flavors. The chicken and waffles were super tasty as well with the pleasant surprise of chili maple syrup. The Kentucky Hot Brown was the closest in authentic flavor to the ones I’ve had in Kentucky. Lavender lemonade was spot on and the kids loved their breakfast as well. Great service great food!
We wanted to try a new place to enjoy for our anniversary. For a casual dining experience or brunch, this is a great place to go! Service was friendly and fast. Food was amazing!!! And the atmosphere on the outdoor patio was comfortable and intimate. We will definitely go back to try more dishes including some vegan dishes that sounded amazing!
One of the best places for brunch in Salt Lake! The food here is so delicious and comforting. If you’re looking for a place that has a great variety, reasonable prices and fast friendly service this is it! So many different flavors of mimoas. The Kentucky hot brown was sooo good! The brisket Benedict was great as well but a little spicy for me but good if you like jalapeños. Had a short wait but it went by fast. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing food, great staff, safety compliant. We were traveling due to a death in the family and wanted to have a really good breakfast before doing the road trip home. We are so happy we picked this place. First off there was a really nice parking lot in the back with several spaces. The staff all wore masks and the inside was spacious and they opened every other booth/table. There was even a nice little diner counter up front for anybody who just wanted a quick cup of coffee and a newspaper. Our waitress was Meera and she was wonderfully helpful with picking out her food as well as giving us suggestions. She was upfront and honest about the fact that the lemonade was fantastic but it was made fresh everyday so it was always slightly different. I ordered it and had no regrets. Very good combination of tart and just enough sweetness. I had to fight my husband off. My husband got the eggs benedict because he saw the photos online and had been drooling over them the whole time. I got the shrimp and grits and was so impressed. I lived in Mississippi before and this was just incredible. The andouille sausage was great. I think at one point I stabbed my husband's hand with the fork after he tried to steal a second bite. He said that his eggs Benedict was fantastic but my shrimp and grits was one of the best he had ever tasted. Our kids were made to feel very welcome. I don't recall a changing table in the bathroom if anybody needs that however. Although the bathroom was kept clean and well stocked though! I would 100% make a detour to come back here if anything ever brought me back to the state of Utah. It was fantastic.
Arguably one of the best breakfast menu in Utah. It has all of the traditional brekkie items but with a unique twist. Everything was cooked to perfection! Even on a busy memorial day morning. Our wait was only 15 which is amazing for a holiday morning. The chicken and waffles was out of this world good. So moist. The waffle was perfect and the sauce was great. we also had the brisket Benedict which was insane! Can't wait to go back and try other items.
Desi provided excellent service on our first time here and suggested 2 popular plates that we both ordered to try. Chicken and waffles- great chicken fried skin. Waffle was fluffy with a crisp outer and the syrup was a perfect match. For me the potatoes that accompanied were a bit salty, but good with ketchup:) My son had the Kentucky Hot brown that was more to my liking… so we traded half way through. Considered the milkshake, but it was too early to crash my day with too much goodness. Restaurant vibe reminded me of spots in Portland, OR and the food too. Great for a cooler morning drizzle walk from down the block due to limited parking on site. Will be back for that milkshake! Thanks
I wish I could speak more highly of Hub and Spoke, but I can't... because it's already AMAZING! The wait staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful. Service was fast but didn't detract from quality. The food was so delicious and the mimosas tasty, so many varieties to choose from. I highly recommend the Lavender Lemonade mimosa personally! Go check them out for brunch!
We went out of our way to try this local gem out. It did not disappoint. We shared several items and all were hot and packed full of flavor. If I'm ever passing through again I will be stopping here again!
I really liked the chicken and waffles. It’s what they’re mostly known for and it makes sense. The sweet potato waffle is fluffy and delicious, the chicken is juicy and perfect and they made the sunny side egg a bit firmer for me since I didn’t want it too eggy. The iced matcha was yummy with the little pebble ice, too. Their fresh OJ was nice. I’ve come here before for a wedding brunch and tried the eggs Benedict with pork which was good. I didn’t get it this time since I wanted to try their staple dish. Carissa was our server and she was awesome. Friendly, attentive and fun. We also didn’t have to wait very long for our table even though it was a busy morning.
It’s been awhile since I came through hub and spoke. Always satisfied with what I order here whether it’s the shrimp and grits, French toast, burger, to the salads. I usually stick to my mocha and lemonade for drinks. Staff are great and check up on ya consistently. Today I added turkey to the shrimp and grits and it definitely was worth getting creative with the menu.
We’ve been coming to Hub and Spoke for years and it’s always at the top of our list for Sunday Brunch. Honestly, I can’t tell you much about the menu because I’ve only ever had the Kentucky Hot Brown. I was told to get it by my roommates in college the first time I went in 2013 and it was so good, I haven’t ever gotten anything else. Service is great as well. The staff is always friendly, helpful and kind.
Lovely little spot. We got easy breakfast. Our their waffles are OUT OF THIS WORLD. More cakey texture inside. Service was great. I loved their cinnamon latte. Large area so no waiting.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hub & Spoke Diner is consistently five stars across the board. Every time we go, the food and service are great. On our most recent visit, we brought our puppy and sat on the patio. It was a little chilly, but the manager, Seth, kindly set up an outdoor heater to keep us warm, such a thoughtful touch. The hostess, Gahasmine, made sure we had everything we needed right away, including menus, and was attentive and friendly throughout. Our server, Jade, was incredibly sweet and helpful, ensuring everything came out just the way we wanted. Seth the manager was also very accommodating in this area, making sure that we had everything we needed. Their fried chicken and waffles are excellent, and the grits are some of the best I’ve ever had, creamy, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. In fact, I’ve never had a bad experience at Hub & Spoke Diner despite visiting many times. They’re hands down in my top three breakfast spots in the entire state.
I would say this one is a Salt Lake staple for breakfast/brunch elevated comfort food. The Smoked turkey skillet on sourdough is really good. The chicken and sweet potato waffles is next level and a unique spin on a classic. Eggs Benny also really good. Really you can't go wrong here. Lattes and teas are also great.
It's been quite a few years since my last visit and I was delighted to be able to walk in on a Saturday and get a table for my friend and me. The Spinach & Sweet Potato Salad was generous and wonderful! My friend ordered the avocado that and some donnut holes (sp?). Wow, so good!!! Sunday brunchers don't be discouraged by the wait. It's worthy every minute. Mushroom Swiss Burger was deeee-licious! Highly recommend.
We loved everything about this place. The waffles were epic. The chicken was fantastic. We also tried the pop tarts, made in-house, and they were incredible! Also want to thank Monse for her excellent service and explaining the American terms for different types of egg cooking to us Brits! (Why are there so many??) (And if the manager is reading this - Monse definitely deserves a bonus :D )
Love the vibe as soon as you walk in. Greeted and seated right away. Server was Madelyn she was full of personality and energy. We ordered the French toast, warm buttery, good eggy texture. Breakfast burrito had a good amt of chorizo with potatoes and cheese. Meat lover skillet - - sourdough base within a bath of beer/tomato sauce. Ham under cheese on top with short rib and halved sausage on the side. Topped with folded scrambled egg (normal top is sunny up). Flavors all mixed together, but nothing really stood out. Sausage could have been a bit spicier to give it some pop. Short was was tasty, but scant amount. I’m likely to get another option next visit as this didn’t hit all the things I like in a skillet dish. Had a side slice of sourdough. Pretty standard fare, but did not disappoint. The donut holes reminded me of the fairs funnel cake dough. Soft, pillowy with sugar and three dipping sauces: Carmel, dark chocolate, semi sweet. They are quick to clear table, wipe down sweet floors.
Such a great option for brunch! It was extremely easy to make a reservation and we were seated right away, at the time of our our reservation. The menu has something for everyone, but my particular favorites are the Kentucky Hot Brown, the Chicken Sandwich, and the Chicken and Waffles, as they do these items extremely well. It's really rare for me to get poultry while eating out but Hub & Spoke just season and cook it well! I will say I didn't care for the potatoes, as they were just not crispy enough, but their fries are great! Also, I don't love the espresso beans they use, it's a lot more sour than I'm used to (not sure if it's Arabica or not). Service was fantastic, our hot coffees and water got refilled even though they were really busy on a Saturday morning and the vibes were just nice, and extremely cozy environment on a snowy day. We will definitely be back.
This was a decent brunch! The chicken and waffles were pretty tasty. The chicken was nice and crispy and had a great batter on it. The food was fairly well seasoned but felt like it needed a little more oomph to really nail all the flavors. The service was alright, they stopped refilling my coffee after the food was brought out, and didn’t have any condiment trays out until I asked.
This is the go-to brunch spot in Salt Lake City! I feel pretty satisfied with anything I order here, though all the dishes are light in terms of sauces. I always ask for extra. The food is definitely beautiful every time and the cocktails are magnificent. I think that’s really what we go here for…but truly doesn’t disappoint! (The eggs Benedict is also just okay—not phenomenal but not bad by any means either)
First time. Nice cozy place. I got the chicken and waffle. The waffle was good but not something to come back for. It had a spice flavor that I personally didn't like. The chicken was delicious and crispy. The egg cooked perfectly. Everyone there was so friendly. I'll come back to try something new.
We ordered the sour cream pancake 🥞 they were very good! It adds a little extra creaminess. Very good! We also ordered the Kentucky hot brown. It was a good mix of biscuits egg and meat. The orange juice was a little over priced. Overall, a great atmosphere and good food. I would recommend it. 🍳
Very appealing food, the diner is in a great location with nice outdoor and indoor seating. Our server was very energetic and kind hearted. She was very sorry about our waiting time and for the time it took us to get our orders in. Now about the food, the chicken was juicing! The waffles(not seen in photos) were so incredibly fluffy, the steak was well seasoning and rightfully cooked. The pork sliders were unique in flavor; although a little tough. Prices were a little high but all around a great place. I would recommend.
My son got the Hub burger and added an egg. I tried a bite and it was great. I got the classic eggs Benedict and added tomato. I’m really glad I added the tomato because it needed some acid to cut the richness of the sauce and the ham was way too salty.
Awesome neighborhood spot for brunch. I had the Steak & Eggs, and my partner had the Pork Benedict. Food was great, and service was very efficient considering how busy it was. We booked a table ahead, but there seemed to be a reasonable amount of table turnover if you were to arrive without a reservation. The space has a cool industrial meet diner feel. Parking is a little hard when it was busy. I would brunch here again!
The food was very good, the service was fast and friendly. I had the avocado toast, which was one of the best I've had, and my husband had the salmon Benedict and enjoyed it very much. Our only complaint about this restaurant is how loud it is. It's so loud that it keeps us from going as often as we otherwise would. If you go when it's not busy then it's fine, but it's kind of terrible if it's busy
Love the main area, great vibes. Amazing food. This time we got sat in the overflow room. White walls, no vibe, awkwardly quiet. All this and still paying the same price. Feels unfair. Thankfully they moved up back to the main room upon request.
Vibes are great inside. Service was good. Coffee is delicious, nice season based lattes. The food is okay at best, expensive as the quality doesn’t match price. Avoid the brisket Benedict. Super dry brisket, chewy/rubbery. You need to use the steak knife to be able to cut through it. Chicken and waffles were good. Side of potatoes could be more flavorful, also kind of dry not crispy or fresh enough.
Awesome atmosphere and cool little place to visit. Got there before 9 and had no wait for 4 people. Food was alright, the kid pancake was delicious though. Had the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits was very dry and the potatoes had a little bit too much salt. Wife said her meat lovers skillet was okay as well. Not sure if it was just too early or what but was not super impressed with the food but would definitely give it another shot!
The ham in the classic benedict was super salty. Potatoes were dry. Service was alright. Coffee (Lavender and Vanilla Latte) tasted like it was watered.
I was super excited to see gluten free waffles on the menu, but when I went to order it they let me know they use the same waffle maker for gluten waffles. Unfortunately that makes it not gluten free, especially for someone with celiac. They don’t mark the potatoes gluten free because of cross contamination, and I wish they would make new menus to remove the GF label from the waffles. Disappointed, but grateful they were aware of celiac and cross-contamination and let me know it wouldn’t be safe.
Hub and Spoke Diner was a major disappointment during our recent visit. As Texans, we were excited to introduce some friends to this place after enjoying good food previously. Unfortunately, this time, we faced a series of issues. We weren't assigned a waiter, and after waiting for 20 minutes, we approached an older waitress who seemed startled and exhausted. She agreed to help us, but it felt like we were inconveniencing her. After taking our order, it took a long time for the food to arrive. On top of that, parking was horrible; they only have a small lot, so you'll either have to wait for a spot or park far away. Given that the diner is quite small, I was surprised by the lack of efficient service. The food was decent, but the poor service and parking issues overshadowed the meal. It's frustrating to have such a disappointing experience after a good one, and I hope they can improve in the future.
Food - Easily one of the most underwhelming food I’ve eaten in Utah. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It has zero salt. And I mean zero salt, not even exaggerating. I would expect that grilled chicken is at least seasoned before cooking. The grilled chicken was also extremely oily. Our table had ordered 3 chicken sandwiches, and all of them were dripping oil. The fries are limp at best, overly seasoned, and feel old. Drink - My Cold Latte came with the glass 75% Ice. I expect some ice, not most of it being just ice. Atmosphere - the Atmosphere at the very least is great. Great interiors, great atmosphere and vibe. service - Service is okay. It is fast and the people are nice. That suffices.
I really wanted to love Hub & Spoke—it’s a cute spot with a great vibe, and the food was genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the service just didn’t match the quality of the food. We waited about 30 minutes without anyone coming to our table, and only after I flagged someone down did we get to place our order. After that, we didn't really see our server again. I understand places get busy, but it felt like we were completely overlooked. Hopefully just an off day, because the food and atmosphere have a lot of potential.
Ordered the Chicken and Waffles since it’s one of their most popular. The chicken was very low quality with lots of gristle. I didn’t even finish it because it was so unappetizing. My wife ordered a lavender latte and it was overpowered with lavender flavoring and had no sweetener. I understand the barista sometimes makes a mistake so I waited about 10 min for the server, but she never came by. At that point I decided to walk directly to the barista to let him know of the mistake and ask for another. He was extremely rude when I kindly let him know about the mistake. I was very disappointed in the whole experience.
This was our first experience at Hub and Spoke. It is in a nice new building that seems to share space with another business… there is absolutely not enough parking in the lot, so plan on utilizing the neighborhood streets (as always, please be courteous to the neighbors.) The staff was extremely Friendly and made a wonderful dining atmosphere. The hot chocolate and coffee are delicious. My family of 4 ordered Chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, make your own breakfast, and build your own omelette. The chicken was extremely dry and the waffles grainy, the chili syrup was fantastic! We also tried eating the biscuits and gravy. Again extremely grainy and dry. I had a hard time keeping it on the fork it was so dry. The gravy was the saving grace for this dish. The make your own breakfast that was ordered (scrambled eggs, potatoes, and toast) was reminiscent of the free breakfast at the HolidayInn Express breakfast. As for the omelette, it was good, nothing special, so not very notable. All in all, I don’t believe we will be returning.
