We had such a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Emigration Brewing! From start to finish, the staff made our evening so enjoyable. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive — she even went above and beyond by cutting our cake, which meant so much to us. The pistachio cake was absolutely delicious. We’re especially grateful that the restaurant was willing to accommodate our cake request and host our large party. Everything ran so smoothly, and all of my friends absolutely loved the food, drinks, and atmosphere. I can’t recommend this place enough for any special occasion or just a night out — we’ll definitely be back!
I very rarely will give a place all 5 stars on everything but this spot checked every box. This is a “you get what you pay for” type of place. You will spend some money but food quality and service was perfect. Definitely recommend for a date night or a family outting.
We went to have dinner here when my in-laws visited from the east coast. We live fairly close and had never been - so glad we tried it! Atmosphere is way cooler than we expected, especially if you can eat outside. Amazing mountain atmosphere - shaded tables with cool vegetation. We ordered the half charcuterie, pretzel, carbonara, fish, and the pork shank risotto. Everyone loved their dishes! The half charcuterie was PLENTY for our group of 4 adults to share. Service was friendly - a little slow, but not bad. My mother-in-law did say her fish was a little dry. It was pricey. Our kids had a good time, and I would say it’s family-friendly. We will return for a special occasion!
The food & cocktails were fresh & fantastic!!! Interesting twist on things & so good! Cute little place
We came for the beers and expected something a little more casual. However, even though we were dressed casually, it really felt upscale. The drinks were fantastic, the service from beginning to end was great, the bartender was really enjoyable. While this is pricey, it is a solid menu with great variety and everything that came out from the kitchen made me drool. We had a great dinner and drinks, and plan to return asap. Best to get there early (parking is limited, they share the lot with Ruth's Diner) and have a reservation.
We loved dining at Emigration Brewing Company. It is located in such a unique and beautiful area and the vibe of the restaurant is great. We ordered the Dutch pull aparts with bacon and the Chicken Roulade. Everything was delicious!! The service was incredible as well. We definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
Love this place! The food and the vibe was amazing!
One word. Extraordinary! My husband won’t stop talking about the pretzel and beer cheese. The seasonal cocktails were phenomenal.
We were greeted promptly and were treated with kindness and enthusiasm. We are excited to eat here as we haven’t yet but we stopped in to look at the menu and check out this new restaurant, coffee bar/bakery and store. Beautifully done, wonderfully fun decor and overall setup....so inviting and wonderful, makes me want to linger. We will definitely be back for a tantalizing meal as the menu looked fabulous! High hopes for amazing success.
We love trying different breweries when traveling. This is a nice brewery. They didn’t like a lot of options but their beer tasted very good. We got a flight and my favorite was the lager. We also tried their margarita and it was good, but the beer was better. The ambiance is nice and I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We went during a non busy time of the day and a lot of their tables had the “reserved” sign. It has a lot of trees and plants around the whole place which makes it very relaxing. It is a little expensive compared to other breweries but their location is very nice. The food was very pricey as well, so we decided to try only their drinks and get only one pretzel, which tasted very good. If you like nice/fancy places, this is perfect for you.
We had planned a dinner at Emigration Brewing Co. on 9th February. The location and surroundings of this restaurant are amazing. Since we had an advance booking we found it absolutely convenient to proceed to our table. The interior was equally fascinating. We ordered Tomato Creamy soup, brown butter chicken, Veg Pizza, and fries and found all the preparation truly delicious. The service, right from the reception, was of top class and I can only give 5* rating to them as there is no scope of rating higher than that. One can also buy beer of their choice from their collection which is near reception. It truly was a pleasant evening for us.
The food was delicious! We got their butternut squash soup, brocollini, the bbq chicken pizza and the beehive pizza. All were amazing. We tried the amber ale and the pear cider, and I’d order both again as well! The patio is cute, there’s an upper deck section along with what you see at the front of the brewery. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food. I had the steak (ribeye) and eggs My wife got the Emigration omelet she said the shitaki mushrooms were delicious. The kids got the biscuits and gravy. My daughter said everyone needs to try it.. I will definitely be back here. Side note they do brunch on Sundays.
Loved this place!! The food was great, perfectly cooked season veg. Very good burger and if you want some carbs - get the pretzel!!! Beer and cocktails are 👍. The restaurant itself was clean and we loved the ambiance. We will be back.
What a wonderful surprise. We were supposed to go to Ruth's next door as we are visiting friends and that is where they planned on taking us but...they had a 45-minute wait and we had a toddler who had a window to be pleasant at dinner before he got cranky for bedtime. I saw Emigration and insisted we head over and check it out. So glad we did. Seated Outside right away and the food and service were great.
First off the ambiance here was fantastic! We went to enjoy a nice brunch for my fiancés birthday and couldn’t have been happier with the service they provided. They were so accommodating to our larger party. The food was delicious and had very nice portions.
Beautiful location, atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for an evening dinner, and the food was out of this world.
Great food, great selection of beer and cocktails That was fantastic. The atmosphere was awesome their pale ale was actually very good, only issue was the food was extremely expensive. Otherwise, I loved my experience there.
Was going to go to Ruth’s Diner, but their wait time was kinda ridiculous so I saw their was a place next door and came to check your place out. Looked more fancy and when I saw “Brewery” I figured might as well enjoy a mimosa or 5. I enjoyed a fantastic brunch. The door host was really nice and she was professional. Told me the wait time was 20 minutes and she got me in sooner than what was expected. The place is very clean and organized, the table set up is cute for a nice date. (I’ll be back to enjoy the dinner menu) Christopher was our server today and was diligent and professional. He was always checkin in making sure we was well taken care of. In fact I had dropped my knife on the ground and before I could look up to ask him for a new one he was already on it and at my table with a new one. I appreciate the awesome food and great service. This place is unique!
Beautiful place, espectacular view, especially on winter snowing, old fashioned drink was delicious, margherita pizza was crazy! Recommended %100
If you walk into this place expecting a traditional Beer Brewery you're sure in for a surprise! A hidden gem tucked away off a mountain pass that's warm and inviting. Inside you'll find a very friendly staff paired with brick oven pizza that's to die for. The dim lighting paired with an earthly decor makes this the perfect date night spot. A must visit while in SLC!
Their pizza and beers are fantastic! The first time I went, I had brunch at Ruth’s diner and wanted to stop in and try their beers. Of course, you have to order a food item so I got a side of bacon and it was almost an entire pack!! The staff was incredible both times I’ve been 😁
The menu is gold. We shared a broccolini and a pizza, out on the patio. The pizza was jalapeno with honey and we are still dreaming about it two weeks later. The website said they are applying to be able to bring dogs on the patio. We're excited to enjoys beers and incredible eats with our pup.
The restaurant is beautiful! They really have a a great appearance and the location of the canyon next to a river is great. We went for a dinner and sat on the patio. As the sun went down it got a bit cold but they had heat lamps! The drinks and food were perfection. I have 0 complaints on the taste. I just wish it was cheaper so I could go more often
Had a wonderful time at this place! Came here with a whole bunch of my work friends after a long day at a conference! The view from the upstairs outdoor seating was great! Highly recommend the proper brewing sour ranger!
The most perfect setting with delicious and elevated food. Sit by the river as you sip a cocktail and feast on amazing handmade food. The peaches and burrata specifically blew my mind.
We happened on this dining spot quite by accident, but we were delighted. After a full day of travel from Texas to Park City, we were famished. It was a bit early for a big meal, so we shared the burrata Caprese salad (which was incredible!!) and the Black Truffle Pizza (highly recommend!!). A worthwhile stop for sure!! We are saving this as a favorite place to stop on our next visit to Salt Lake and Park City!
Brunch adventure awaits up Emigration Canyon! Amazing food, happy customers. Try the Weekend Omelette, vegan scramble, eggs Benedict, or classic two eggs breakfast. This spot is a winner - highly recommended!
This place is a hidden gem! 6 of us went and we all couldn’t stop taking about how good the food was. We had the muscles, chicken, ribs and salmon. Our server was top notch and the atmosphere was fabulously unique, (casual but elegant). The cocktails were also fun and well made. I love eating out and this place has quickly become one of my SLC favorites.
Finally a brewing company that is A RESTAURANT!!! (And its categorized correct on google!) Had the pleasure of stopping in for a bite with friends and our children before heading to the zoo. Great atmosphere, good food, good beer. Highly recommend stopping in. They have a lovely patio for outside dinning too which would be great for spring and summer.
We celebrated a birthday with a group of 14 people, and the staff was always kind and helpful. They made sure everything went smoothly. Absolutely recommended. The perfect spot if you’re going out with a group!
Very nice and comfortable (dress casual if you wish) dinner spot with high quality drinks and food. The Immaculate Martini (ordered Gin though Vodka is available) is appropriately named. Wood-fired pizzas were so delicious as were the Dutch pull-aparts. Service was top notch and the hostesses were particularly pleasant and helpful. Reservations were no longer able to be accepted on phone but we were advised they could accommodate our large party of 9 for an early evening dinner as a walk in. When we arrived our hostess gave us choice of outdoor seating or indoor dining with notice of the time they would need the indoor table available for their guests with reservations. We chose the indoor table and were discreetly reminded later shortly ahead of the time the table would be needed so we could finish our drinks without rush. All around great.
We came here for brunch. The portion sizes were big. The food looked very nice on the plate. My favorite were the potatoes and the dipping sauces were really good. Sadly, they didn’t have a kids menu.
We visited the Emigration Brewing Co. on a Friday night. We arrived around 6pm and the parking lot was packed. If you're in a pinch, you can park alongside the road. The atmosphere was amazing. It's so nice that something has moved into the building next to Ruth's. They've done a wonderful job making the building feel inviting and the interior is beautiful. The tables are spaced far apart which creates an intimate feeling for your group. They also have outside seating but bring a jacket because it can get cold. Our waiter, Benjamin, was great. He was attentive and offered some great insight on what to order. We had a pretzel for an appetizer. The pretzel was very tasty. It had a crunchy outside with a nice, soft inside. It came with different dipping sauces (mustard and beer cheese). We liked the beer cheese the best and would recommend ordering an additional bowl. For entrees, we order the Korean short ribs and Thai Halibut (which was the special). Both dishes were very good but we felt the meat was a little dry. The flavor of the mashed potatoes was really good and the green sauce on the Halibut was spicy (and good)! For dessert, we got the chocolate chip cake and lava cake. Both were good but I liked the lava cake better because it had caramel sauce. The pricing on the menu runs anywhere from $15 for an appetizer up to $50 for an entree. The beer and wine selection was great. My wife ordered a glass of the Gulp Hablo Orange which was different from most wines and worth a try (we both really liked it to the point where we're going to buy a few bottles). We enjoyed our experience at Emigration Brewing Co. and will return.
Five star for ambiance and tasty food. Four stars because this isn't Manhattan, not sure who set the prices. Enjoyed and I'm even one for indulgence but the exhorbanant cost doesn't justify the yum. $11 for elk chili and bison sliders $23. Honestly we came in for more dinner faire around 12:30pm and were bummed to find out only the brunch menu is offered until 2pm and dinner doesn't start until 4pm. May come back for $12 pretzel. Dinners average $35-65 with pizzas at $25...eeek.
We had a really good time, great environment, beautiful set up, loved the vibe. The food was very good! We got the pineapple ceviche, New York steak, and the Buddha bowl, all of them were very flavorful and delicious. The only gripe we had is it took forever to order our drinks then it took another long while to order our dinner. We got sat down fast, but then it was almost like no one told our waiter we were there. Our waiter was very professional and polite when he was present but there were big gaps between then.
Luv this place! Everything tasted great. I am a bit disappointed that my Beet Salad did not come w/any red beets, only golden. & $30 for an 8" pizza is wild! So it is a bit too pricey, but the building is super rad, & the food was really good. Mussels were phenomenal.
Beautiful scenic restaurant with excellent food and cocktails. The mussels and Buddha bowl were amazing. Service was a little poorly timed, they didn't bring out food all at once so we had to wait to eat.
I love taking people here who are visiting SLC. It totally fits what they hope to experience- a great atmosphere with the mountain views, interior design, and young, modern vibe. The patio is fantastic. Love that you can even hear the stream running under the patio outside. And of course I love showing visitors that SLC's counter culture movement is strong, from the brewery's simple existence, to the employees and guests who have cool fashion & tattoos. The food is good, a bit overpriced, but that's ok for visitors. I don't come here often as a local hangout, but it's the perfect spot to have up your sleeve for out of towners.
We went to brunch. The food was delicious and the serving sizes were good. We loved sitting on the patio and listening to the stream as we ate. The service was excellent. We found the seating uncomfortable, and the patio needs some TLC. We ordered coffees and cocktails. Many we had to send back. The coffee was bitter and sour. The Wolf drink and mimosa were not very good. We paid about 25$ per person.
Food was delicious, waiting time for waitress to come by and take order felt infinite. They also need to do something about the wasp nest in the upper outdoor patio.
We booked the VERY expensive Valentines menu. I would suggest against that. The drink paring was pretty good and maybe the only thing worth the cost, although extremely tiny portions. The food was mediocre and so expensive. Also very tiny portions. $360 later…Not worth it. Finally, I had asked if we could purchase an extra beer because it was delicious, we were told she would find out. The waitress came back with a full can of beer saying we “got lucky” with no indication of the cost or if we got that included or what. Turns out it was an extra $14. Overall, definitely not worth it for a brewery that should stick with being a brewery instead of trying to provide fine dining.
I have such mixed feelings about this place which actually makes me sad because my first visit left me with high expectations. I have been here twice. The first time, my partner and I decided to come for drinks, given the name we thought it would be a good place to grab drinks. Well as it turns out you can’t purchase drinks without food…. I’m sure it has something to do with their liquor license but we thought the name emigration brewing was misleading. We did have a pretzel and were not disappointed, it was delicious!! The drinks were also great. We came a second time a week or so later with my parents for dinner. Again the drinks and appetizers were very good. The elk chili was wonderful as well as the Dutch pull apart. My partner ordered the Margherita pizza and it was really great!! My parents ordered the May special - the chicken roulade. Unfortunately the chicken was dry and the food was lukewarm. I had the sticky ribs. The flavor was AMAZING but again everything was just sort of lukewarm and not hot which was disappointing. I thought about asking them to throw it in the microwave so I could have hot mashed potatoes but I did not. Flavors were all there though. I definitely had leftovers and the next day at work when I was eating them for lunch I put a bite of mashed potatoes in my mouth and bit down on this metal piece!!! At first I thought it was a piece of bone from the ribs but nope. Super weird and unfortunate. Overall I was disappointed with the food. I would come back for drinks, apps, and pizza but the entrees are questionable.
The food has always been good when I have gone. But the service has always been so poor. I’m not sure what it is. They were going to sit us in the sun. I asked if we could have an umbrella to block my family from the sun. They said they were busy and had a ton of reservations for the same time we had. We were 15 min early for our reservation (reservation for 10:15 arrived at 10:00). They seemed so put out for this request. They moved us. But as time continued on, the inside of the restaurant upstairs completely empty. The patio where we sat; half full. Our server checked in on us once while we were there and that was at the end. I’d like to go back because the food is really good but if the service is going to be this poor. No thank you
My partner and I first came here years ago, but sadly, the quality has really declined. Each year, we return for our anniversary, and while the prices keep increasing, the quality continues to drop. The food menu is quite limited and uninspiring. The drink selection also leaves much to be desired. The only redeeming factors are the atmosphere and the service. I truly hope this place can improve.
We were hoping for a nice birthday dinner out but the pros were out numbered by the cons. We were seated fairly quickly. Due to the restaurant being unusually not busy (according to Google) so we could have arrived earlier without a compulsory reservation time of 7:30. To say we had ample time to review the menu was an understatement. It took a while for someone to come to the table. Once our server arrived we placed our starter choice and our main choices at the same time. We'd heard good things about their pretzel and that's what we ordered for the appetizer. I ordered the rib eye steak and my wife ordered a pizza for our mains. It was then I was informed that they were out of mashed potatoes and I was given other choices for a replacement. Out of potatoes??? Significantly more time went by. When the food arrived the plates were carelessly plopped on the table instead of placing them gently. And off went the waitress. No "Enjoy your dinner" comments, either. As I looked down we had no utensils, napkins, and our appetizer never arrived. Once my wife got the waitress's attention, she came over and I pointed out the missing utensils and napkins and I said that she could take the pretzel off the bill. The steak was tender and flavorful. Although it was cooked a bit longer than the medium rare I ordered. The pizza was mediocre. The sauce was pretty flavorless. To the credit of the waitress she did offer a complimentary dessert. We declined as we were full. She ended up taking half the price of the pizza off the bill. Was it worth the drive from Sandy? No. We'd much rather go to Garage Grill where we know we'll get superb service and delicious food and it's much closer. Oh, and Ruth's is right next to Emigration Brewing Company and we'll make the drive there no problem.
We had the halibut and the canyon pizza. The halibut was the most overcooked piece of cloth I have ever had, but I gotta facepalm for ordering sea fish in the middle of Utah. Canyon pizza was ok, but I wouldn't go again or spend $110 there again. Nor is it worth it to have a runny stomach for a day after.
So disappointed. It definitely was an off day to go for my birthday. We love emigration brewery and it was my top choice to celebrate my birthday. Phil made reservations early and we ordered two ribeye stakes. We brought in our own wine. When it was time for our food to be served we were shocked. Instead of a nice cut of ribeye that we saw on the tables next to us, the waitress brought a cut slab of fat that was in the ribeye. We moved the fat off of the Ribeye and there was no way of cutting it. It was very tough. The same with the Brussels spouts that weren’t not cooked or steamed all the way and were hard to cut. No one asked us how our meal was. We had to get up and let someone know that this was not the type of experience we have had here before. Everyone who worked there that night seemed disconnected to the patrons. The salt and pepper shaker was not functional and had to ask for salt. The waitress was very attentive when we conveyed our disappointment and compensated us for most of what we ordered. We appreciated her concern and were grateful we had a waitress that cared. The ambiance was nice. We will definitely be back since this is not typical of emigration brewery.
This place has a great location and looks cool but.. it lacks warmth. Staff members are hit or miss (average effort to below) with customer service and food can be underwhelming.
Service is truly horrible here. We were seated upstairs and placed by a window swarming with flies. It took 15 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us, and only after he had already greeted tables seated after us. He never introduced himself and only came by three times the entire night. Drinks took another 15 minutes, and once our food arrived, we didn’t see him again until we had been done eating for over 10 minutes. Other servers came by to check if we’d been helped, but ours was nowhere to be found. The restaurant wasn’t busy, so the lack of attention was inexcusable, especially when you’re charging $27 for a burger. Water was never refilled, we wanted another drink but waited 20 minutes before he finally came back around, and which is important when the place has no AC. For the price, you’d expect at least basic service. Instead, we had to flag down other servers just to get any help. Definitely won’t be returning, and if you’re expecting decent hospitality for what you’re paying, I’d recommend going elsewhere. TLDR: If they try to seat you upstairs refuse to be sat, you will be forgotten about.
