I’ve been relocating from Los Angeles and staying at the hotel for a bit, so I’ve been slowly working my way through the menu — and honestly, everything has been excellent. The half chicken was the first dish I tried and it was perfect for the season; the smoky flavor was spot on. The menu has great variety too. The mushroom ramen with added chicken has become a go-to (I’ve now ordered it three more times). The burger is really good, and the scallops were delicious. They also have a fun fall-themed cocktail menu right now. I’ve only tried two drinks so far, but both were great and surprisingly reasonably priced. The old fashioned was solid as well. The ambience is warm and welcoming, especially with the big fire feature when you walk in — it really sets the tone. And the staff has been consistently wonderful. Evan at the bar is super friendly, and every server I’ve had has been extremely helpful. Overall, just a really enjoyable spot with consistently good food, drinks, and service.
Great breakfast at EPC. Not a lot open early on the mountain, so definitely recommend stopping in if you want a bite before noon. I ordered the Hawaiian Roll French Toast and the berry compote on top was delicious. Not pictured but also ordered was the berry sunrise smoothie, which was refreshing and tasty.
Amy our server was so attentive and sweet! The food was great and the view was lovely. We have a busy toddler and Amy was great to provide coloring pages and stickers! She made the experience perfect.
Located in the Hyatt Centric Park City we have had breakfast at Escala Provisions dozens of times and have had apres a couple of times there as well after a long day of skiing with good experiences on every occasion. The restaurant never gets too crowded, and every experience we have had there, the food and service have always been excellent. If you're staying at the hotel or in the Canyons area, this is a great spot to visit, especially for breakfast. Would love to see a lounge area added someday for a better apres experience.
Staying at the Hyatt Centric in Park City the Escala Provisions Company is our favorite breakfast. Everything is delicious. Today we had an omelette, French toast and the Hyatt breakfast. My son loves the French toast and it is amazing to look at and tastes better. The omelette is completely stuffed with your favorite toppings, and the Hyatt breakfast gives my wife the options she looks for. Another notable dish we have had this trip was the yogurt and granola with fresh fruit, lighter than the other breakfast items and still delicious.
For lunch (before 5pm), we could not have been more pleased. We has the chili - which was a big bowl with western chilis in them (a tad spicy, but not too much) and the short rib grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (you can opt for regular as well). The grilled cheese was so good, that we had it 4 times over the week! Server was nice every time, bar selection was very good (they have a couple of High West bottles that we couldn't find elsewhere in town). I don't know about dinner, but you could ski into the ski rental (via the Retreat trail off of the In&Out lift and to the right of the Sunrise lift), take the elevator to 1 and be there for lunch. If the lift isn't working, you can take the shuttle back to the base (runs every 5 min).
Great experience for breakfast at EPC. Service was friendly and attentive, food came out quickly, tasted great (albeit a bit under seasoned.) Grateful to find somewhere serving a hot breakfast at the canyons in mid-september.
No one serves 100+ people perfectly, but they sure came close. Thanks EPC for serving Volm Companies sales group. We enjoyed your atmosphere, food and cocktails to wrap up a week of learning and sharing experiences.
AMAZING! Tasting some platea of the new menu and it was delicious! Only for dinner, but definely I will come back for more 🤤✨
Food was really good, pricey but worth it.
Our server Amy was delightful - she brightened our day and was so attentive. We had an omelette and berries for breakfast and both were generous portions and tasty. Thank you!
I have eaten in every restaurant in Canyons and to see the rating here is mind blowing. We had exceptional service, the highest quality of food , wonderful outdoor seating, all at a price I consider below the market. Big mistake to look over this place. Will be back soon!
First visit to Park City, met up with family and friends at Escala for dinner. The cocktails were amazing (loved the Bee Sting!), the food was delicious (smashburgers were on point!) and the service was excellent.
The food was great, I loved the omelette. Amy was a great host very attentive and friendly made our experience at the restaurant wonderful!
Great brisket burger and fantastic Tuna Poke Bowl. Darius was amazing! Reasonable price.
Bogdan was an excellent server. Very kind and proactive. We really appreciate it!
Bogdy gave me the exceptional service. In fact, the best service I have had in the last best service in my years here.
We had an awesome breakfast. Service was quick! Good gluten free options. The GF toast was actually pretty good! The chicken sausage was very tasty. I really enjoyed the chia pudding! We will be back tomorrow to order the same things!
Wow! Significantly exceeds expectations of a hotel restaurant. If you’re in Canyons, definitely visit. And if you’d like to go to Handle or Twisted Fern but can’t get in, try this. Earlier reviews from pandemic are not representative. It’s still quiet, but staff have been lovely over multiple days, and the chef is stellar. The single best piece of duck I’ve ever had, with crispy skin and beautiful cherries on the side, not drowning it. Alongside a squash risotto I’ve never seen before. Their Bison chili is a category-maker: light, fresh, flavorful. Creative Cocktails. Deserves to be much busier, and hopefully will be soon.
Came in for dinner and all enjoyed our meals. I had the Wagyu steak. Very good! Our server Jitta was very friendly as well. We all had cocktails at the bar while waiting for my mom to arrive. The bartender Will was nice to chat with and made me a Mountain Sprits. Yum!
Had breakfast here while on vacation. Fast service, fast delivery, would go back again. Nice place to have a sit down Breakfast. Doesn't seem to be a ton of sit-down breakfast places in the nearby walking-distance area.
The food here was incredible. Just had lunch here after skiing - the winter squash soup and beet salad with grilled chicken were some of the best I’ve ever had at any ski resort. The quality and service were really extraordinary. I never write reviews but this really deserved it.
Great service and food was fresh and prepared perfectly. The breakfast i didnt know i needed.
We came here during my son’s grant a wish trip because he wanted to try wagyu. The staff was extremely nice and the food was delicious. We had cheese curds as appetizer, I had risotto, my daughter the pheasant and my son and his friend shared the Wagyu. They had chocolate cream pie for dessert. Everything was delicious! Travis and Deven made our visit amazing! Thank you both for adding to my son’s memories and taking care of our dinner. Travis, it was so special to hear about your make a wish experience when you were young. We appreciate your generosity.
Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! Our staff Griffin, Adi, and David were phenomenal and were all so friendly! We had a great experience and we will be back. Definitely a great spot for a yummy dinner!
Great breakfast experience and quality food. Was a bit on the pricier side but that’s to be expected in a hotel at Park City. However what stood out the most was our waiter and the exceptional service he provided. Our waiter’s name was Bogdom and he was incredibly kind, courteous and went above and beyond to make our dining a pleasurable experience. From ensuring that we had hot, fresh coffee (not lukewarm hotel coffee), splitting our entree for my wife and I to share, and his timeliness in refilling our beverages, he was always on point and delivered service you would expect at a 5 star luxury hotel. Recommend for food and HIGHLY RECOMMEND for great service! Great work Bogdom!!!!
Nice cozy spot in the Hyatt Centric in Canyons Village. Their specialty is a smoked chicken that is out of this world good! Perfectly cooked and a huge portion. They also have a great burger. Our server Bianca was so friendly and helpful. Will be back!
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each morning while staying at the hotel. The food was very good (smashed potatos were a nice touch!) But the service we received from Amalia was the best part. She was very attentive to detail of the order and very friendly. Its great when someone is excited about their job and it showed with Amalia!
Amy was amazing as our server. she is attentive, kind, and just wonderful to be around. The banana chocolate chip pancakes are a must at the hotel restaurant! The rooms are wonderful with great views. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!
I have had breakfast and Lunch at EPC and both times the food was amazing! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly. I love that the restaurant has windows! I highly recommend dining here!
We stayed at hotel four nights and dined here every night for dinner and breakfast since I get free breakfast as Hyatt Globalist and the two other rooms we had were guests of honor so they got free breakfast. There was six of us total so we have a very good idea of the food here. I give the place overall 4 stars as the food is good, but not great and the menu could be better with more higher end selections and flavor of a Category 8 hotel. The folks serving us where all amazing from the friendly face at breakfast each morning to the same friendly place at dinner each night. My lady did think it took longer to serve us some nights but there was 6 of us except the last night and she says I'm the impatient one. The place has indoor seating and outdoor seating with a nice patio that we explored but never dined. There are lots of different drinks on the menu also. As mentioned in my hotel review, we pretty much had every dis on the menu. The first night, I had the half chicken and the breast meat was a bit dry so I gave it to my kid and she put it in her ramen. I also had the Waygu beef (it's American Waygu unfortunately so not as good as Japanese or Austrailian), it was bit overcooked but not to the point to send it back. Night three, I had the scallops and pasta which was clearly the best item on the menu and night four, I had the Ramen which was a nice try but needed some hot sauce (which I got) but I was mid as the kids say. Each morning, we had breakfast and the only thing I can complain about is the pork belly which didn't see to have much flavor and was dry at times. The lady from Romania (sorry, I forget her name) was there each morning and she was really nice and gave us great service each day...she was awesome. Not sure how to judge atmosphere each night and breakfast was pretty quiet so fine by me.
On the whole, it was a pleasant dining experience with friends. The service staff seemed a little uninformed about the menu and specials. They were out of most wines by the bottle (and Sundance had just begun, so ouch). The hostess was incredibly nice and professional. my meal was served luke-warm.
James is a great server. Very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was not great, very salty, buffalo shrimp overcooked. To be fair I had starters and didn't order any entrees. Could have been an off day with the food. Will give them another try and order a proper meal.
Located inside Hyatt Centric City Hotel, Escala Provisions Co. is the only restaurant/bar in the hotel. They offer underwhelming breakfast, lunch and dinner menus with a bar at over inflated prices. The meals we had were okay but nothing special. The decor is beautiful and the service was good, but we’ll skip the restaurant during future trips.
This place is really pretty. Connected to the hotel, it was first thing in the morning and we had brunch outside. 10/10 recommend if you are tall to not walk near the outside sconces . I hit my head and started to bleed. When I told the woman, she didn't really understand me. Food was decent. Its a hotel.
A disappointment. Currently on our 7th day of our 8-night stay at the Hyatt Centric Park City, and we've had breakfast every morning and dinner three times here. Therefore, we are more than qualified to review this place. The only reason we stuck to EPC for breakfast was our Hyatt Globalist benefit. Thank god there were much better dining options nearby for dinner including Kuchu Shabu and the restaurants at the Pendry Hotel (Kita and Dos Olas). Leaving the hotel for nearby restaurants would be worth it even in a blizzard. We didn't even consider having lunch here. Service is consistently slow. In particular, service at breakfast is a disaster. Every morning, we arrive before 7:30 am and it's not crowded at all but it takes at least 15 minutes for a server to just come with water and take our order. Frustration accumulates as we wait for simple things like coffee and check. Most servers don't know what tea (bags) they have beyond "black tea" and "green tea" and don't care to go confirm options. The over-priced Christmas dinner was a blessing in that we could help ourselves with the self-service buffet, at least for the food... Food is mediocre. Their so-called "ramen" is nothing like a ramen and regardless of how the dish is called, does not taste good. Quite a few items including burgers, soup and omelets were too salty. Kitchen is apparently not properly stocked - no blueberries in the berry bowl and fruit plate for two consecutive mornings; no French fries at one dinner. Cooking/presentation is inconsistent - three sausages one day, four sausages on another; chocolate pancake with melty chocolate chips on top one day, then plain pancake served no-longer-warm with chocolate chips in a separate small cup. And the list of our complaints goes on... Obviously, we will not return to this place for any lunch/dinner for the remainder of our stay.
Not impressed. We read reviews that were subpar, but since it was raining, we decided to give them a try anyway. Sadly, I have to agree with the majority of the poor reviews here. We waited to be seated for a while. We finally had to go get the front desk person to find someone to seat us. Weird, because the restaurant was essentially empty except for one couple sitting at the bar (yet there were 3 staff all standing behind the bar just talking to that one couple). We ordered corn chowder and the double smash burger with sweet potato fries. The chowder was a bit watery and there were lots of corn silks in the soup that we had to pick out. The smash burger was terrible. One of the 2 pattie’s was absolutely raw. The waitress even was disappointed when she saw that it was that raw. We had also asked for avocado to be added to the burger ($4 up charge) but there was no avocado on the plate at all. The waitress was kind enough to adjust our bill as an apology for the bad experience. It is just a shame that this restaurant cannot seem to get its act together (based on the many reviews with similar experiences).
food seemed okay, nothing special. the cook kept touching his face with his gloves and i didn’t see him change them once the entire time we were sat at our table. he also kept eating food from the bowl of potatoes, that he then used to plate our food. so unsanitary. the workers kept peeking at us from around corners then turning back around, i think one guy did that 5 times. maybe they were just checking if we were gone but it made us uncomfortable.
Food is a 3 out of 5, but drinks are terrible. They come with no ice so how about jack daniels (warm), or any other drink (warm). Perhaps they fired the barman? Service was not bad but dessert (cake???) can improve. Salad was good, and meat was good as well. Server was attentive and nice.
Thier floor was dirty. They could not provide me with a menu for lunch until I insisted. They delivered lunch to the table covered in plastic. They gave me a plastic fork for thier $18 sandwich. They would not let me sit down with a back problem until I ordered. The sandwich bread was chewy. Thier menu is not on Google maps. Thier sides are not on thier printed menu. It's no wonder no locals come here or recommend to visitors. Go to Versante or Boneyard for lunch. They do a very poor job advertising. I commend them trying to stay open off season. Dinner probably better. It's really sad because they could really accelerate if they advertised free parking, local off season specials, etc.
the chicken they gave me was so raw that getting salmonella would not surprise me do yourself a favour and go to mcdonald’s instead
Our waiter made us feel as though he had better things to do from the first time he came to our table. The food was below average. Would not recommend.
Ate here 3 times because of convenience. Every single time there was an issue with the food. It was almost funny watching everyone around us having the same issue. Probably the worst service I've ever had at a resturant.
Good setting, but horrible service. Long wait to get the order (had to get up and get them), and once it arrived it was wrong. Told server it was wrong, but they said it was right so they never fixed it and still got charged
We experienced dismal service for breakfast. And there were only two occupied tables. A small thing but the breakfast plate was delivered with absolutely no attempt at presentation. No garnish, no nothing. Lots of white space. The omelet was good. The hash browns were preformed deep fried patty’s that one could buy at any cheap supermarket. We won’t be back.
Waiter was very condescending. We came at 7pm and he acted like he just wanted to get out for the night. The place was not busy, and the staff was more concerned with walk up hotel guests for pick up orders. I would rate their food below par! So MANY better places to eat! Waste of time and money! Please and please, don’t waste your time and money!
The worst experience I have ever had a restaurant. First of all, no one at the front to greet us. We were told to seat ourselves by some other employee in the hotel lobby. I attempted to order brussels sprouts, and they were out. Eventually we stood up and walked out because nobody seemed to want to help us.
Do people work here? Waited 10 minutes for a hostess, finally seated 10 minutes after the reservation and waited another 10 till we had anyone come to the table. Food is sitting at the kitchen ready to be served yet 0 servers EVER walking around. People came over from the hotel to help people because it so obviously looked ridiculous.
This place is the worst. Ordered a martini (served in a shot glass) server said he was bartender and how dare we question him! Food came cold! Scallops and Risotto was awful. This is overrated hotel place. I would rather go to Burger King. Enjoy
We came to this restaurant for what we hoped would be a nice lunch on December 31st, but unfortunately it turned into a very disappointing experience. The waiter did not speak English, which made ordering and asking even basic questions extremely difficult. There was no explanation of what was available or unavailable on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine listed at nearly $50, but were served a small 375 ml bottle, with no indication on the menu that it was not a full-size bottle. When we tried to order cocktails, they were unable to make two of the cocktails listed, and surprisingly, they couldn’t even prepare the mocktail I requested. In the meantime, we waited and waited just for them to let us know that they were out of some of the ingredients. We later found out they are out of draft beer too, when we already ordered it, of course, they only had canned beer—despite the beer we ordered being listed on the menu. None of these limitations were communicated to us in advance. On top of that, I ordered a $17 cheesecake that was literally one bite. To make matters worse, we were charged for the wrong cocktail, plus a service fee and a 20% included tip, which should have been waived considering that they didn’t have nearly 80% of the items we attempted to order and the overall poor service. Keep in mind this all happened on December 31st, yet they were already out of stock of most alcohol, which is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place if you expect good service or value for your money. It is overpriced, unprofessional, and does not treat its customers well.
