We are American Express platinum card holders and enjoyed the benefit of free breakfast and a $100 food credit at this hotel. The food is very nice and so is the service! Everyone is very down to earth and comes to check on you regularly. Our waiter Lisbeth was very kind and down to earth. She was relaxed and personable which is such a nice touch. Jared, the manager, came by to check on us regularly and even brought us a small glass of champagne and a little extra sorbet to say thank you. So kind of these two! And even if people weren’t helping you directly, there was always a smile and a greeting in this restaurant, but also in the resort overall. The breakfast is fantastic! And may I highly recommend the Burrata Caprese, which we ordered a second after enjoying the first so much!
Food was decent, the drinks were really well done. The resort looks stunning and they are going to be finishing the hockey rink soon, so I'm excited to see that built out. The restaurant has amazing views of the mountain ranges and offers a shuttle to and from the ski resorts. I would recommend staying here.

Bakhyt was such a treat! She was our server, who helped us navigate our way through the menu. Not being from the area, there were a lot of new things to try. The omelette was five star. The texture of the egg was very airy. The cream sauce and fresh herbs put it over the top. The fresh baked breads were a out of the park. No pun intended. Especially used with the French toast. Everything was scratch made, and you can taste the difference. The pancakes had a scratch made compote style berry jelly which was very inviting leaving me for more. Local ingredients.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at The Overlook Restaurant and had an exceptional experience! Our server, Tarryn, took such great care of us and ensured we had a wonderful time. As a steak lover, I've tried STK in the past, but it wasn't worth the money. However, the ribeye here was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. A huge shoutout to Chef Ernesto for doing an incredible job! From start to finish, everything was fantastic. I highly recommend dining in for a memorable meal!
Beautiful view of the mountains, our dinner was the halibut special and pork chops, absolutely amazing & delicious! Will definitely be back here again!
Just had the best buffet! High quality, healthy and splurge items with tons of gluten free options on the endless dessert section! Highly recommend! Great casual environment with super high quality delicious food!
We ate at the bar upstairs, which has the same menu but better ambiance imo. Good gluten free options (even beer). Had bison burger with gluten free bun and carrot and ginger soup. Nice ambiance withive music on weekends.
The food was cooked perfectly. I had salad, scallops, and a filet mignon. All were 10 outta 10! In fact i ate the scallops & steak before i could get a picture it looked so good. Great atmosphere and great staff. Will definitely be back to try that bison steak.
This was a nice treat. Apparently I’m a slow adopter and didn’t even know the restaurant was here.. a must try. We came here with a large group after high school graduation, it was just out of the way enough that we could get in.. but still very close and convenient. Great atmosphere, service and food
This place is a must go to for fine dining eating. Compared to other fine dining in the area I would give it a 7/10. The hostess got us the best seat in the house with the view. They informed us of all specials and best requests. We had the tuna tacos and Caesar salad to start, was delicious. Main course was bone in ribeye and halibut. Drinks are extraordinary. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff, also very clean restaurant.
Just spent the evening at the new Overlook Restaurant at the Black Rock Resort. The resort is very inviting. The staff is very friendly. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the charcuterie board appetizer with its local cheeses, breads and meats. A definite winner.
It was our 1st time there and everything was excellent. Our waitress Debbie was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our meals were very hot and delicious. Cosmo cocktail was perfect. We will definitely be back with friends during ski season. My only suggestion would be to dim the lights in the restaurant. It would make it cozier. Glad we stopped in!!!
Elk bolognese was the best! Our server Deb and Lindsay were very attentive and accommodating.
This was a great brunch stop. The almond tort was phenomenal!
Excellent food and we've been here twice and the service was outstanding both times.
We come here often and always have a great experience! Today Lizbeth was exceptional and did the extra to make our son feel special! Thank you!
Earl was the best waiter ever! such a kind soul and happy spirit with an amazing sense of humor. will come again just for him haha
We stayed one night as a staycation and dined in the dinner restaurant. Server Stefanie was great and very attentive! We had the pork chops and cornmeal crusted trout. Funeral Potatoes were amazing!! Clinton, the F&B Manager invited us to a chocolate and wine tasting in the lounge... we were so full and happy when we left. We live only 5 minutes away and this gem will be our new favorite spot!
Kiriko was absolutely amazing!! Made our experience the best! Best Ribeye I’ve had in a while.
Earl did a fantastic job! The food was good and the service was great! We will definitely come back.
Cherry was an amazing server, as well as every single server we had the whole weekend. So attentive and thoughtful!
We're so happy that Chef Ernesto is back! His dishes are superb and the staff is terrific. Best burger and fries in town! And now you can catch a hockey game, too
We had a great dinner with a larger group of nine people. Our server, Nico, was friendly, helpful, and attentive as were all of the staff we encountered. The food, cocktails and wine were delicious, too. We all ordered different items on the menu and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Although the view was not much to look at, the furniture, decor, and atmosphere very nice. It was a wonderful place to gather for a meal while staying at Black Rock Resort or if you are looking for a restaurant just outside of Park City!
Locals and decided to try something different. Celebrated valentines and enjoyed yummy rolls, with honey butter, lemon Parmesan artichoke, bone in fillet, great sliced crispy baked potato. No room for dessert but we are told the cookie skillet is amazing. Next time I guess. They even gave me a single red rose for valentines. Our waitress Kiriko was awesome and Staff was friendly and very on top of filing our waters and taking our plates away.
Earl was an amazing server and we all loved our meals! Highly recommend.
Love it ..if you or anyone planning to visit this place and eating at the overlook ask for Earl ..... Awesome server makes you feel like royalty
We came in on New Year’s Eve and still had an amazing time despite the crowd. Our server Kiriko was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable on the menu and recommended the Oscar’s style filet. We were more than pleased with her recommendation and blown away by her service! We will definitely be coming back!
Excellent Thanksgiving brunch. Service was over the top and food was wonderful. We'll be back!
I got the opportunity to come and dine inside the Overlook restaurant during my stay at the Blackrock resort. We dined here on two seperate occasions during our stay. The food was delicious I highly recommend the tropical smoothie and the truffle mac! We had 2 different servers: Tarryn and Kiriko. They were magnificent! Incredibly attentive, helpful and so so kind. They elevated our experience tremendously and exceeded all expectations. Thank you both! I Cant wait to come back!
Kirika and the entire staff were absolutely amazing! This was truly the best Thanksgiving dinner we’ve ever had. The spread was incredible — perfectly cooked prime rib, delicious salmon, juicy turkey, fresh salads, and the most unbelievable desserts. The service was attentive, the food was exceptional, and the setting was beautiful. We’ll definitely be back next year and bringing even more family with us. Highly recommend!
My husband and I decided not to cook a Thanksgiving meal for just the two of us, so we returned to the Overlook restaurant for its Thanksgiving feast. The selection of dishes was enormous, and the food was delicious. Despite working on the holiday, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server was particularly upbeat and cheerful, going out of her way to ensure we left happy and with full bellies. Thank you!
Firstly, Earl was amazing! He recommended the Bison burger and I ordered it. It was delicious! Beautiful atmosphere with music that tied the whole experience together.
This is the second year we’ve celebrated our Thanksgiving here. It’s absolutely wonderful. Bakhyt was our server this year, she was lovely and so attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back again
Earl was such an amazing waiter. We instantly became friends. The bison burger was awesome and loved dipping the sweet potato fries in the maple aioli sauce.
Honestly earl went above and beyond! We are from out of town and he was so informational and funny! He helped lead us to exactly what we wanted to eat! Great server!! Great food!
The food was delicious. Amazing service by Earl . Earl was so nice , polite and so nice to talk to . He gave us excellent food recommendation and he choice of food was spot on . Would recommend anybody to go try out the food and desserts .
When we came in, the ladies at the front said there were no tables available, even though there were at least two empty tables that we saw. They said the wait time was one hour, so we reserved a table, and when we came in an hour later, those same tables were still available. At least we were able to get a table at all, but it didn’t feel like the wait was necessary. The dishes were slightly too salty and spicy. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Even though there are spices in excess, the dishes were very good, and we even finished the leftovers later on.
In all honestly, we were excited for the black burger… it was nothing to rave about and we didn’t finish it. The bread was not that good. Drinks were terrific and the dessert cookie was great too. Beautiful views and beautiful tables and set up.
I got the bison burger with the Artisan House Salad with ranch! The burger was amazing!! The meat was tender and easy to eat despite the fact the burger was rather big! The salad was very tasty as well. A little pricey but it is a fancier restaurant so that is expected. It takes a little long for the food to be made but it was worth it!
My daughter and I enjoyed a great meal. The best part was Earl our server who was fantastic. Very attentive, very upbeat and informative.
Breakfast was great and had a beautiful view. But when I came for dinner I ordered a pricey $51 ribeye that was a huge disappointment. I ordered medium-rare and it came way too raw. Then after sending it back it was properly cooked but very chewy. It didn’t feel like I was eating a ribeye because it was literally difficult to consume.
The views are the saving grace. The food is not great even for a lobby restaurant. Think ski area cafeteria quality. Cold wings twice in a row. Chili, mediocre at best, and an overdressed Caesar salad.
The service was 5/5. Our server, Summer, was very kind and accommodating and patient with us. The cool/kitchen made several mistakes with our food, and Summer caught them before we did which was impressive. She addressed them as fast as possible. But the food itself was a 2/5 at best. I went here with my whole family and we were not impressed. Especially because my parents had gone before and enjoyed it. My dad had the fried chicken sandwich and he wasn’t able to eat more than half of it. It was over fried and very oily and disappointing. My mom had the gluten free pizza and it was burned on the edges, dry, and unimpressive. My brother had the eggs Benedict which he said were okay but the burger was very bad, he also didn’t finish half of it. The Caesar salad was overdressed and my steak was severely under-seasoned and absolutely not medium as I’d asked. The wings I had were okay. We likely will not be returning. Though, again, Summer was very hospitable and kind and we all liked her.
I got some dinner to go, and so bummed. By the time I got home, I realized the lettuce they served on my beet salad was nearing the end of its life (browning), there was no true green lettuce (all iceberg) and I received about 12 fries for $8. I am all good to spend the prices of this restaurant but quality was sub par. I understand Park City pricing but at least food should be fresh and an ok serving size. Bummed as I live nearby but will not be eating here again.
We had a business outing at this restaurant and wasn’t super impressed. Savannah was our waitress; super nice, asks engaging questions when greeted & wasn’t super busy. She was very much overwhelmed with a long day it sounded like with her tongue twisting - a much needed break was due for her. Maybe 6 tables within the restaurant with guests - and very disturbing & not good live music upstairs in the bar area. Food is very much over prices especially their steak. Very thin. Parking was not the greatest & valet was not available here. I would recommend trying somewhere else before coming back here.
Mediocre food. Lack of explanation of items on your menu by staff. Same kitchen from bar refused to accommodate request. For the prices you are charging it’s a NO to future reservations for me!
This was one of our least favorite restaurants in Park City. They have a beautiful place, but there is a lot of construction & when we got there only one table had people sitting. Maybe because it's a bit of a drive but when I go somewhere good I would expect it to be packed or at least have more than one table being served at dinner. The service was not that great, but the food was not worth what we paid. My salad was all brown so I didn't even eat it - it wasn't presentable at all to bring out. My husband ordered a steak medium/medium rare and it was well done. It wasn't cheap either. I also expected a prettier view and it wasn't much. Maybe once all the construction is done it will be nicer, but I was disappointed. It seemed more like frozen food and not fresh that I was expecting.
This is regarding takeout. We live close by. We used to think when the restaurant and bar opened the food was very good three years ago. Even a year ago. Things are downhill there in terms of consistency. Last night the pizza was pathetic compared to the past. Quickly made. Undercooked and small. The buffalo cauliflower used to be light breading and light buffalo and now dense breading and over coated. Am I at Buffalo Wildwings? It was so bad I had to comment. Nice people and view as we waited for pick up. A bummer on what used to be a decent food option.
Had family in from out of town on Monday February 17, 2024 and wanted to take them to a nice restaurant for a night out. Instead of the night being a pleasant and relaxed evening g ended up being a horrible experience for all. First ordered three cocktails and two mocktails for the table. After 25 or 20 minutes and asking the server about the drinks was informed that the bartender was late. After over an hour and asking about the cocktails multiple times finally 2 of three cocktails arrived but were horrible. The third cocktail arrived 15 minutes later and it was not drinkable either. At this point still no mocktails for the other two. The server agreed to have one of the cocktails remade which ultimately never came. After over an hour and a half we finally received most of the meals we preferred but not one of the salads. Asked to speak to the manager only to be told the manager never came in. After two hours asked for the check and told server to take the salad ( which never came), the two mocktails and the remade cocktails that never came either. At that point the server said the reason the mocktails never came was because the bartender didn’t have all the ingredients. It appeared that the servers were taking orders, delivering the good and clearing tables which I’m sure was overwhelming to them. It’s unforgivable that a restaurant like this wouldn’t have a backup plan to served their guests. If we hadn’t paid hundreds of dollars for this meal I might have understood the service but once again this service was not under any circumstances acceptable. With all the other options available for exceptional good and service I can’t imagine I would ever go back nor recommend.
