Make Room For Truman

Lovely ambiance with modern rustic feel. The cocktails are inventive and good. Our waitstaff was personal, informative, attentive. The food was wonderful, with all fresh findings and interesting salads. I had the shank which was so perfect and tender. Others had the chicken, prime rib and salad which all were tender, nicely seasoned without too much overpowering or too much salt. It was a great overall experience

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. You definitely need to order the Truman, their namesake dessert. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a restaurant's dessert so much. I only wish they had a bigger beer selection, but it's not terrible. Edit: Six months later, no decline in quality. SO good.

Large menu of locally sourced food. You can tell that the ingredients were thoughtfully put together and cooked to precision. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The cornbread was really special, and the apple cobbler was pretty fantastic because it wasn't crazy sweet. This restaurant is definitely worth checking out.

We had a 4:30 reservation today, My wife and i were greeted by open door service with a smile and seated promptly.. fantastic food! We both had Carnivore grilled cheese and Mac and cheese with the skillet corn bread..homemade lemonade, Top notch service the hostess and waiter was on spot! Highly recommend this restaurant! We will definitely be back!! Ty for fantastic service and food!!

The food is excellent. Our party had the chicken pot pie, carnivore grilled cheese, pork chop with asparagus and the filet for entrees. Everyone loved what they got. One of the entrees was about $27, the other $15. All of them were generous portions. Drinks at the bar were good too. The desserts were outstanding! I would definitely go there again.

This was the first dinner out I’ve had since losing my Dad last month. I heard about this place on WGN earlier in the week and was motivated by the discussion of Mac and cheese(my favorite). My husband and I had a 7pm reservation on Tuesday. We arrived and we’re seated promptly in the back area overlooking the kitchen Every seat in this restaurant is a great seat. Our waitress was Deanna . She was amazing and well informed. We had the cornbread(beyond words fantastic). My husband had the pork chop with scalloped potatoes And I had The Carnivore grilled cheese which I can honestly say it is the best grilled cheese I have ever ate and was made like none I’ve ever had. Of course I had the macaroni and cheese and it exceeded my expectations.. The service was impeccable. We finished off this lovely night with dessert. Of course we had the Truman. Perfect ending. This will be a regular stop for us. Thank you for such a wonderful experience when I needed it the most. See you soon

Wow, this place was great! It had a very lively ambience, the food was spectacular, and the service was even better. Kyle was our primary server, however, many others helped out just as much to make us feel at home. We had a table of 13 and we felt at home. The "Boss," Joe, certainly made us feel welcome and you could tell that everyone in the restaurant was working hard and efficient to make the dinner memorable for everyone. We had 10 guys order steaks and each one came out the way we asked. Appetizers were served early, they didn't rush us and allowed us to take some time ordering dinner, desserts and everything. I will definitely be back. The rest of my party agreed, that this place was a wonderful place to host our event. Thanks again and I am very much looking forward to eating there again.

Our experience was fantastic here recently! We were greeted upon entry. Our server was great an answered all of my menu questions happily. Our dinner was pretty good. I ordered the carnivore grilled cheese. My wife didn't particularly care for salmon steak. Our friends loved the short rib and meat platter with pork rinds and chicken. You better make room for the Truman dessert. Unforgettable indeed. We'll be back soon. Come check this place out when you can.

Enjoyed the drinks and food after a few hiccups with our original table in the middle of the dining room. Corn bread appetizer in a cast iron skillet to share, good selection of entrees and Dutch baby pancake for dessert with the sweet toppings.
