Fantastic lunch. The chicken sammich was delicious and juicy. The crisp on it was prefect! Service was great, friendly waiter, really on top of our table. The brisket grilled cheese was delicious. The brisket had a great smoke on it. All the appetizers looked great, the one we had, can't remember the name, but it was do good. We will be back. One thing...the vorn bread was ok, ours had a strange taste to it. I'm not sure it was right. I'll have try it again because I love cornbread with honeybutter that they have. Other than that it was a great lunch.
Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere. We went there for a birthday dinner. The drinks were delicious, we tried the Mexican candy shots, and margaritas. (Our waitress was so informative and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks). We recommend them both. We also had the chicken nachos, my favorite. The blackened salmon, to die for, and every guys favorite the BBQ combo platter with a little bit of everything. Love this spot we recommend it to anyone who wants great food and a good time
Solid menu with plentiful options. We stopped in for lunch and were seated immediately, and our food came out quickly. Good sandwiches and sides. Attentive and friendly service. Parking is validated, so don't panic at the $20 / 24 hours thing coming into the lot.
The atmosphere is fun and the service was great. I enjoyed the salmon and the salad. The beans and slaw maybe had to much sugar. The experience here was overall great and the live music is awesome.
The food is absolutely fantastic, I got the baby back mac and it’s out of this world. Our server Dannalia was fabulous she had amazing service, kept our drinks topped up and very chatty loved her!! my only critique is that the music was a bit tooo loud but that’s to taste.
We were here from out of town for a Dance convention. It was really close to our hotel. Decided to give it a try. Really great food, they sat us immediately on a busy Friday night. Fast service and loved the live music.
The 18-hour smoked brisket here is absolutely phenomenal — tender, juicy, and bursting with rich, smoky flavor. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed — the perfect place to enjoy great BBQ. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommended!
I thoroughly enjoyed Bub City! I had their version of Arnold Palmer…Sweet Tea Lemonade. It had vodka in it. It’s a good “sipping” drink as described by our waiter. I loved the cornbread (gotta get it). I ordered the brisket sandwich. It was a good but a bit fatty. All the other dishes got rave reviews as well! Live music is a plus. I’m not a country music fan but I did enjoy it!
Great experience overall and food came out super quick and portions of food were spot on with price.
This place is awesome. The food was delicious And the portions were very big for the cost these days. The pulled pork is excellent and the tots are a crispy delight. The chicken sandwich was perfect in size and taste. The service was beyond friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back again.
We had an amazing time at Bub City delicious hamburgers and fried chicken sandwich, I got the spicy one and it was hot but delicious! Ambiance is upbeat and live music is from Th- Sun. Right after the fireworks outside! We will come back
Traveling through? This is a must-see! FOOD is delicious! The Hot Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich has a little heat & Great flavor made with the most tender chicken!! Try the Bourbon Old Fashion. So smooth & full of subtle flavors! Near the Ohare Airport.
Heaven was such a great server! She was so helpful and we had a great dinner!
This place is the real deal! From the amazing food to friendly staff. My party of 8 people just had our flights canceled mid air to Cancun. The manager heard about our very long day and provided each of us a shot! The meat here is some of the best, ribs were fall off the bone and tender! Don't forget to order the bomb brisket Mac & cheese either! I have zero complaints all around this place is amazing! Must try!
I’m down here for a labor notes, conference staying at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, O’Hare. We found this place while looking for somewhere to eat. I got to say this place is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere the decor and the employees are just above everything they do. The food was absolutely amazing. The bartenders and the weight staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs. Simple to order your food while using the QR code, scanning it with your phone. Pops right up plenty of different types of food to choose from. Food came out pretty quick and very flavorful. I’m gonna probably come back tonight when they have live music because I bet it’s gonna be an amazing place in a lot of fun if you’re ever in this area, make sure you put this on your top list to visit whether it’s for food or entertainment. You’re gonna enjoy it.
Great place for late night live music. I guess 10pm is not that late, I'm just getting older. Excellent bands. Good tap beer list. Good food options with a focus on BBQ style. Great spot on its own or after a dinner anywhere in Rosemont. Fun!
First time here, we are in town for GFest and walked over. The food was good, the staff was friendly, the had Shiner Bock and Lonestar beer which was great. Heaven was out waitress and she was amazing, she was friendly and engaging and was attentive. I let her picking my meal and it was fantastic, Shes a rock star!!!! It was funny the table next to us thought we were wrestlers haha.
Amazing place! If you’re not a meat eater or a big greasy food fanatic this isn’t for you. Located in the perimeter of Park Place and walking distance from most of the hotels, this is a nice restaurant to check off your list if you’re in the area. Hell, even if you’re not it worth it. Everything was perfectly cooked, beyond expectation. What I liked the most is that their food was not just good, but also very different in a simply and deliciously original way. I’m from Miami and we do not have anything similar. I definitely recommend this place. I will be back for sure! If you’re there before 2pm on Monday through Friday, they have a “Meat 3” special which is a meat, 3 sides and a drink! Amazing and my favorite with the ribs! Again 5 stars and great job guys!
Needed to grab lunch and kill time before catching a plane with my teen son. This place was perfect!
Great barbeque and a fun atmosphere. Also a wide selection of whiskey, beer, and cocktails. Can recommend both their old fashioned and the back porch tea. Also had the pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries and the brisket nachos. They have a great BBQ sauce - sweet and smoky - that paired well with both the nachos and the pork. Service was also swift and friendly.
The food was fantastic and the drink selection was excellent (except there wasn't a plain hard cider option). Our waitress was fun, professional & promt with everything. The background music was good & just enough tv's to catch different games.
First time at bud city at first the hostess at the door seemed a little rude. However it didn't deter me from enjoying my time. Once seated my waiter was always making sure I was good and had everything I need and was transparent. I ordered the all American double burger. It was amazing 👏 taste was great, was cooked just right. Compared to another place I went to which burger was less the edible. Now for there dessert I had the warm chocolate chip cookies. Which came out amazingly fresh and as the name implied warm.
Food was delicious! I had the General Joe's chicken sandwich and it was delicious. My husband had the Pitmaster Combo and it was also delicious, the perfect option to try a little bit of everything. My husband also tried the Whiskey We Love flight and really enjoyed it. Our server was great and the atmosphere was upbeat. We will definitely be back!
The food was amazingly, definitely get the brisket if you can. The space is nice and the live music really gives it character. If you can try to sit by the windows if you want to hear better. I personally have a hard time hearing and found that those seats are best accommodating. The servers tend to linger behind the bar but are still relatively attentive. Definitely try to save room for the deserts because those are absolutely delicious
Miriam is so good at what she does! Very welcoming for families, which is nice. Only part that wasn't our favorite was its quite chilly, but given the temps outside, that my not be the norm. Would definitely visit again!
Great time tonight. They accommodated for a booth, and put on the Bulls game when asked. Super nice and friendly staff. We are celiac, and accommodations were made for gluten free as well. Allergy sticks came with the fries, brisket, and baked beans. Also enjoyed the ribs. Great food and drinks!
Amazingly fast service, the 18 hour Smoked Brisket sandwich with fries was PHENOMENAL. Would recommend this little spot. Prices aren't bad, portions are good, and the brisket was so tender it melts in your mouth. Couldn't stop myself to take a picture before chowing down. See y'all next year!
Josh was a great waiter, he kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Such a bright asset to the environment. 10/10 experience!
This place is 🔥. Better brisket than I had in Nashville. Nashville chicken sandwich was amazing. Great Buffalo wings, beans, fries, man n cheese. Great beer list, whiskey list as well. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is very cool. We'll be back.
The Chew Crew tries Bub City BBQ in Parkway Bank Park, Rosemont, IL Bub city had this amazing pull apart cinnamon bread. Crispy on the outside, fluffy layers on the inside, like a croissant with gooey not too sweet topping. Don't skip out on this! Ribs. For a BBQ place, this better fall off the bone! It did not. Also, no BBQ sauces on the table? The server whispered to us that their grits were not good. Do not order them. Noted! They have a giant skillet pancake. Wow! Crisp and golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside, topped with butter, served with hot syrup. Get it, share it! Chicken nachos had a lot going on! Chicken was done to perfect. A bit salty. Tator tots were done to perfect. Fried pickles were fire! Cornbread done right! Coffee martini I heard was delicious. Cute ambience with Christmas lights all over the ceiling. Has a very Nashville vibe. Indoor garage doors roll up for Joe's street live concert days. 4 stars. We recommend!
I enjoyed the lively atmosphere and friendly service at Bub City Chicago—it’s a great spot for BBQ lovers and a fun night out. Most of the dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, and the overall experience was positive. However, I did have an issue with the baby back ribs. They came out a bit dry and harder than expected, which was disappointing considering the restaurant’s reputation for great BBQ. Still, the staff was accommodating, and the rest of the meal was solid. With a little improvement on rib quality, this place easily has 5-star potential. I’d definitely come back to try more of their menu!
Had a delicious hot chicken sandwich and fries here. Chicken strips were also very tasty. Like to come back and try more. Great location and they validate parking. :)
We ended up getting are food to go because we were tired. I ordered the beef brisket, baked beans, but we didn't get are coleslaw or utensils so, I couldn't eat them at the hotel. The food was ok. I probably won't eat here again.
Pretty solid BBQ place with a very extensive whisky list. Seating is pretty modular so you can come with any size group and be able to be seated. Menu isn't huge but it hits all right things Id expect for bbq. Could use a few more vegetarian options but overall it was good.
This place is huge! Service was great! Surprised by how packed it was Halloween weekend and it wasn’t that noisy… like it was but you were still able to hear your own conversation at the table. The brisket nachos.. yum! Would definitely check this place out again if in the area!
Fun spot!! We enjoyed the chicken strips. Waffle fries were fine. The pulled pork was luke warm…wish they had bbq sauces to add to the meat! Brisket burnt ends would have been fun but it was Thursday so no dice. Great service!
Its American Barbeque that needs a little assistance. We went on a night no bands. It was lacking. Needed a band because the food is lacking. I suggest beverages and apps here for music. Skip the meal
One of my favorite American chains out there. Great cocktails. Huge whiskey list. And the food is very good. I suggest the Classic Fried Chicken Sandwich. Don't forget to ask to validate your parking to get it free and they're also Lettuce Entertain You point eligible.
Generic BBQ joint with mid-ok food. Our server was nice enough but he told us that he would have stopped by sooner but he was in the bathroom. I get it but I don't need to hear about it.
I love that the chicken tenders are like actual fried chicken and not processed batter. The mac and cheese comes in a small skillet and it is EXTRA cheesy and delicious!!! The portions are descent. As for the brisket nachos…not too impressed. They had a very small portion of brisket on top of the nachos for the the price. Our waitress, Noel was the best!! She was really kind and hospitable!!! Great job on the service Noel!!!
Went here for lunch with a work fried. He ordered wings and I got a friend chicken sandwich. My meal was great and reasonably priced. His seemed a little pricey for 8 wings and fries. He had to pay for them separately and it was almost 25.00. HOWEVER, my meal was delicious. Definitely recommend.
I was told to visit this place because the barbecue was really good. However, I smoke and grill in Texas so when it comes to barbecue, I have really high expectations. Upon walking in service was great host sat me down quickly however, the waitress didn’t acknowledge me for about 10 minutes. When she did take my order and she’s extremely friendly and I asked her how the brisket was and she said it was the best she’s had but coming from Texas. She was scared that I would be let down but I ordered it anyways because I’ve heard from multiple people Bub City had good brisket. I ordered the back porch tea, which is really good on the hot day and fried pickles for my appetizer which again were really good. For the main course, the brisket was unfortunately dry and rubbery brisket should have a good smoking, bark, and texture. The flop factor should be just enough to wear when you hold it with one finger it bends, but doesn’t necessarily fall apart. When I tried it with this brisket, it was pretty stiff. I’m not the type to complain (however I do leave reviews) and send things back so I tried to eat it anyways, but unfortunately, towards the end the third strip of brisket became very chewy. Back to my server, I was trying to get a refill on my beverage but again she was nowhere to be found so I asked someone else . Only other time I saw the waitresses when she gave me the check and gave me a to go box but what’s funny is once I checked out and walked around the corner. She was stuffing her face with food at the back entrance. Look, I get you’re hungry, but don’t go ignoring your tables when that’s literally your job.
We went for a business lunch here one day before our flight. - place offers good food and vibe -It was quite and no live music during the day time - Salad and sandwiches were good -beer was fine -washrooms old construction and not very clean -Overall found a bit dull, food was ok
Should have gotten a burger. The brisket was barely warm when served but tasty - I liked the three options of lean vs fatty. The sides were very skimpy: slaw and veg salad. The BBQ sauce on the side was congealed and room temp like it had been sitting a long time. I left kinda hungry and felt a little cheated. I wanted to like it because we brought friends flying out of O'Hare the next day but it was disappointing. Service was very good, though.
The food was very mediocre BBQ food and quite pricey. I got the wings, which were pretty good but undersauced and a bit undercooked. The brisket plate only had two small pieces of brisket, but it was good. The server was very friendly and quick. The atmosphere is great if you like country. We spent about $325 for 4 people with 2 apps, each and entree, and a few drinks, so not quite worth it with the small portion sizes.
In the past when I've been here, the barbeque isn't even smokey tasting, which is kind of a prerequisite. The whole spot should smell smokey if this was an authentic smoked meat spot. Still, bonus points for the concept in this cold ass geography where smoking meat for 24hours a day at a stable temperature isn't something most are willing to do. My mom likes country music, so I'm back here. Never my first choice and I'll explain why. This time, I had the fried chicken Gen Joe's flavor. The term is code for a mild buffalo sauce. It was tasty enough. Fried proper. The fries were a good portion too. The portion of chicken wasn't bad. Here's my objection though. For $17 the size was not as impressive as I've seen at some spots for similar stupid-high pricing. For $10 I'd have been impressed with the chicken. For nearly double that, I'm unimpressed. Now to the shadiness. There's a 3% "restaurant surcharge" on the receipt in 2026. The bottom of the receipt reads, "to offset rising costs we have added a surcharge to all checks". Rising costs. Same as all of us are dealing with. No mention of giving employees a living wage nor benefits. No mention of paying for live performers. No mention parking offset or something. Just the restaurant being greedy, despite already baking in above-market pricing into the menu. Given the high price of their food already, I think they are saying they know we wouldn't show up if that same $17 fried chicken was an extra $0.51 honestly. So they play these damned fee games. I'm gonna give this spot a 3* since they should be able to keep their location open, as the concept is good. Until they get their pricing in-line, I don't see why folks consider this a good 4-5* rating.
The Mexican candy shots were delicious. I ordered a brisket sandwich. I wanted to like it but the meat was very tough and seemed overcooked. $18 for a margarita is a ridiculous price so I stuck with beer. What saved the experience for me is the appetizer nachos were fantastic, the live music adds a nice touch and the fact that they were able to do separate checks is definitely a plus !
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience at Bub City. I ordered a caesar salad and it came with iceberg lettuce instead of romain. If you don't have the right ingredients, just don't offer the salad. I also ordered the brisket and it seemed like more fat than meat. Fried pickles were good
Came here specifically for a bourbon pour AT THE LISTED PRICE AND SIZE ON THEIR MENU. Ordered said pour and the bartender informed me the menu is wrong sometimes it was only a 1 oz pour and the listed price was wrong as well. I said technology is pretty basic now a days wouldn't you update your menu with an email or at least offer it at the price and size that's currently advertised, she said no and sometimes it's just wrong. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR MENU and if you're going to pay outrageous prices, go elsewhere to do so.
I’m the last to throw the race card but I almost feel like it applied in this short instance. A country band called Pearlsnap was performing on New Year’s Eve. We were completely aware of this before going although we didn’t care. We thought the menu looked satisfying for what we had taste for that day. My coworker & I (both black) walked in at about 10pm that evening for a reservation we placed. An employee/worker/manager (whomever) with an earpiece in his ear, at the front counter says to another worker he was near at the time, immediately after seeing us “What the hell are they doing here?” very clearly. He then came from behind the counter after the comment he had just made, didn’t greet us (nor did anyone else) & maneuvered around us like we weren’t there. We just stood there waiting to be acknowledged. We left shortly after. Wasn’t in there all of 5 minutes. Disappointing. Probably won’t be back
