Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and couldn't be happier with the service and the food everything I tasted was 100% worth the price and will be coming back here for another celebration. The drinks were perfectly balanced and delicious and the salmon was just on another level best I've had so far its a mist have
decent quality all you can eat sushi with 2 options, the normal one is $12 cheaper but without the premium sushi like uni, sea bass eta, but those are just 1 piece per person and not AYCE. The classic sushi is good quality so recommend to eat those instead of the Poke or the specialty rolls
Sushi is fresh and delicious. All you can eat price is a great deal.
All you can eat if maybe 100 dishes. I don't eat fish but I still left full and happy as they have pork pot stickers (gyoza), teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef. Also had vegetable tempura and salad. They allow you as a group to order like 15 items, then when that group is done you get to order whatever you want again. Same things if you want. My friends love salmon and shrimp and all sorts of sushi rolls so yhey were loving life. The waiters are very attentive and they clear dishes quickly as you finish them so you can juat say I want more if whatever. It's amazing for like $45 per person. Look at the pictures I took!
Conveniently located on the corner of E Green St & N Oak Knoll, this place is relatively close to the 210 freeway, and not hard to find. It was buzzing with activity when we went. If you're lucky you'll find parking right out on the curb in front of the locale. If not, there's parking just a few steps away behind a couple of buildings. Once you're checked in they seat you as soon as possible. They have a fair amount of employees whom are tirelessly working like busy little ants, in order to keep things flowing in a consistent manner. As far as the food goes, their appetizer choices are plenty. Their drinks are priced well. And their sushi is fresh and delicious. I didn't take any pictures of the food this time out as I usually do, but I will my next time out. If you like sushi and you haven't visited this place yet. Do yourself a favor and go. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! GO!!!!!
* DON’T WORRY I ATE 11 rolls* I was in Pasadena apartment hunting and bumped into this place. For $42 this is great AYCE sushi! I have been to a number of AYCE sushi ( Sorry for not leaving a review) and this is in my top three. At first it started off bad. The host was rude to me (it was super busy so I understand) and our original waiter seemed like he didn’t want to be at work. Eventually either a manager or just a great associate helped and she was super cool and let me go order crazy. My first order was only two rolls because the waiter told me it was a limit. My second order was seven rolls and three rolls on my last order. I sat at the bar and met some cool people. The ginger was also amazing. The only strange thing I can say is they bring your rolls out sporadically. So all your rolls don’t come out together. But they come out quickly. Sushi here is good quality but bring your appetite. It’s not worth it if you cannot eat at least seven rolls.
This is all-you-can-eat high quality sushi at $38.99 for regular and $44.99 for premium. The prices have gone up quite a bit recently but there are so many options to choose from. We just went with the regular as we figured it's enough. Premium includes uni, oysters, toro, crab, with limited orders. Put your name down on the wait-list first! It's typically a 1 to 2 hour wait on weekends. You can dine in for 2 hours with 3 rounds of orders. Everything we ordered was quite decent. We love their Squid and Salmon Sushi. Their ramen is also quite decent where they include chasiu and soft boiled eggs. The Seared salmon roll was also amazing. We walked out with our belly burst and were satisfied with everything. Food: 4.9/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5
Came back for more. You can't beat this place for quality or price! $29 for All-you-can-eat sushi! 😱 High quality fish, Japanese sushi chefs, (if that matters to you, it does to me) comfortable atmosphere. I absolutely 🐷pigged out. If you are in the area and wanting sushi, this is your place.
Amazing staff. I ordered too much food accidentally because I wasn’t thinking properly. I was sleep-deprived. I was full to the point that I wanted to throw up. I even had to use the bathroom twice. They didn’t charge us for the leftovers. Thanks for the kindness and thoughtfulness. Amazing food quality! Tips: don’t order too much fried food because they’ll fill you up quickly! I had a hard time digesting the oils. Incredible service. Left a 40% tips. Thank you truly.
This was my first time here and it didn't disappoint. We got the all you can eat sushi. The sushi was fresh and delicious and the serving sizes were perfect. The serving size for rolls were 4 pieces …
My kids and I love this place. It's great for families, date nights, friend gatherings - you name it! \n\nWe love to try new things and get our favorites as well.

Hans - awesome service. Nice place and great food. Worth the wait . Drove 2 hours to eat and always worth the drive.
1st time trying out this location. Food and service was great. ambiance was neat and organized. Even though Elliot was not our main server, he did a great job helping us out.
We love the AYCE and the service is always so helpful and friendly! They are fast and the price is right!

We opted for the premium all you can eat menu, which was extensive, but made somewhat overcomplicated by the ordering process and somewhat confusing by each premium item being limited to only one per seating. The service was somewhat staggered approaching slow, especially ordering between "rounds", but the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the front of house was excellent. We will definitely return, now armed with how to better navigate the process.
A solid all you can eat sushi spot for the money. Lots of room, but it can get pretty busy. We did the regular all you can eat but next time I’ll get the premium. Overall the sushi & food selection for AYCE is plentiful. The quality is great for all you can eat and for the price it’s worth it. You got three rounds & for premium you get also one round of their premium dishes. As compared to “Yes Sushi” back when they had AYCE, it’s just a tad below that quality. I base it off the fried squid legs which were very chewy and a few other items overall the sushi quality was great. The atmosphere is also pretty great and roomy. I took my family and we got a majority of the appetizers and sashimi, but only a handful of rolls. The roll quality was also really good. I’d definitely come back here again to get my “AYCE” sushi fix. Also if you didn’t know “AYCE” stands for “All you can eat” & I just found that out a week ago & thought it was a brand. Either way, a great spot to visit for sushi in Pasadena.
Update 9/30: The food was still pretty good, the quality didn't really change since the last time I was here, 2 years ago. This time they updated their yelp wait-list so we were able to get in as we arrived instead of waiting outside. Biggest complaint I have is regarding the service my group received. I'm not too sure what our "dedicated" server was for since all she really did was take our order sheet and refilled our water...sorta. it was pretty inconsistent on when she did serve us. Our food was instead brought out by other people, some of them were pretty good on trying to put the food and organize all the dishes so that they'll fit. Another person, "Ozzy" was sorta giving off the vibe that they were done with this job. He just rushed giving us the food and made us put them down. Even if it was one dish and our table was clear. --- Was an alright experience. Wish you could get on waiting list before arriving. Wait was 1.5 hours
I don't usually try all you can eat sushi spots just the thought of the quality being not so good. \nGave aikan sushi & ramen a try and was not disappointed. \nActually great quality, great servi…
Service was awesome but the food was so disappointing. I been here many times and I never seen a smaller piece of sushi cut in my life. I understand inflation, but for the price, it's not worth it …
My sushi roll had a small pebble in it. The service is quite slow. While there are unlimited rounds, servers rarely come up to your table. I could only order two rounds in 1.5 hours. The images in the menu show very large portions but the real portions are a quite small.
The all you can eat sushi is ridiculously small. It is so funny that it can even be this small. I had a good laugh when the sushi came. Their ramen is top notch though. Will not order the all you can eat thingy ever again here. Their other options on the menu would probably be better. Another funny thing is that in the sushi bar, it is kinda funny that this is a Japanese restaurant and you hear the cooks preparing the sushi in view of the customers laughing and speaking very loudly in Spanish. It was just genuinely funny idk why.
We went here for the summer lunch special 27.99 for the regular menu. While it seems like a good deal, the service was extremely slow with only the fried items and rice rolls coming out for a solid 20min. It seemed almost as if they wanted to fill us up with the carbs before serving what we ordered the most of which were the sashimi and the sushi. And when it finally did arrive, the pieces of fish were so tiny smaller than the width of jalapeño. See pic. It’s OK , a solid 3 all around. But if it were not for the summer lunch special deal I’d probably choose to spend that $ elsewhere on better quality less quantity.
Came here with my buddy for the lunch 2 months ago. Overall, the food was delicious and the vibe was great as well. Most associates were nice and friendly. Basically you’ll get what your paid for or even being more worthy. But only complaint was one elderly waitress was kinda of rude and had attitude to us. She told us we could do special request regarding our needs to avoid wasting the food we don’t need, we felt happy since it was considerate. When we completed the form and let her picked it up, she told us we totally screwed up the form and had an attitude to us. From my perspective, she didn’t explain well what she wants us to write down correctly, then she became kinda of mad. It was ridiculous because we were even so polite to her. We’re just normal customers. How could we be expected to know the rule here? Or she’ll tip us if we know the rule here better than her? Hmm…interesting…
We came for the dinner all you can eat. First time in the Pasadena location. What started out as good quality fish quickly degraded to terrible quality fish as we ordered more sushi. I have been to the other Aikan locations and none were this terrible. After about 15 pieces of good salmon and yellowtail they started to serve terrible quality, visibly oxidized, filmy, and glutinously textured fish. (Which they likely purposely use after a certain amount). To give you an idea, the yellowtail had black stringy marks around the edges, and these "strings" in the fish would get stuck in your teeth. The salmon had a visible film on it and became insanely chewy. By far the worst experience I have ever had at an Aikan. Go to the one in Artesia!
So I usually try a place twice. Especially when it comes to all you can eat. So the first time, the cuts of fish where on the small side but the quality was very good. So I'm here the second and I'm also still at the table. I usually type these after I have left. I don't want anyone else to be fooled by this place. The cuts of fish are EVEN smaller then last time. The quality is alright. The pics that poeple have posted, they must have got it in with the sushi chefs because it looks nothing like that now.
We visited this restaurant a few months ago and had a pretty decent experience, so we decided to come back and bring our family—including an elder—for dinner on a Sunday night. Unfortunately, within the next couple of days, all six of us came down with severe food poisoning symptoms: vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. While the staff were kind and attentive during our visit, something clearly went wrong in the kitchen. This past week has been extremely exhausting and stressful for our entire family, and we had to seek medical attention. We’re leaving this review in hopes that management takes this seriously and ensures proper food safety practices are being followed. Please look into this — no one should have to go through what we did.
