Opinions de Pearl Thai Eatery Pasadena
Intimate spot with excellent food. It has the regulars and also interesting selections. Chill and friendly service.
This place is so good you'll want to go back!!! I feel like this restaurant is tasty. Their fried rice is on point and the flavor is rich ! I ordered the combination friend rice which has beef, shrimp and chicken. The beef and chicken were fresh and juicy. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. It was plump and meaty. It was amazin! I also had some Tom yum shrimpnsoup. I'm a fan of that lemon grass flavor so this soup was yummy . It wasn't spicy so I asked for chilli oil. And then I topped it off with a Thai iced tea and it was refreshing. It has a milky taste to it, Very rich. I'll definitely make this my go to!
Larb Gai, Tom Yum (shrimp), Shrimp egg rolls. Tiny eatery, beautiful presentation, full flavor, eat local & support small businesses.
Ordered take out and didnt eat it until almost an hour later and the food was still delicious! The chicken satay was tender. The peanut sauce was different than what I'm used to but still good in its own way. Beef noodles were delicious 😋 Garlic chicken was saucy and perfect with rice. Surprisingly amazing meal that I was not expecting.
The Veggie Curry at Pearl Thai's spice meter went off like a fire alarm, but honestly… totally worth it. Next time I might ask for “medium drama” instead of “season finale.” Let's talk shrimp egg rolls. Still thinking about the crispy golden wrap and juicy shrimp... went back the next day for another round because self-control left the chat. They offer wine, but I decided to play it safe and classy with a chilled San Pellegrino. Cozy spot, fast service, and food that hits harder than your favorite playlist.
For a 100$ we got 5 amazing huge dishes, everything tasted so perfect, deliciously hot and packed good. I asked to put spicy sauces on the side and they did that too which I appreciate a lot :) there was so much food for three of us we ate it twice, the value and flavors are unmatched, can't wait to try every single thing on the menu 😁 the girl at the front was super nice too, thank you!
Pearl Thai Eatery which we found around the corner that is freshness meets flavor! This hidden gem is a spice-tacular spot with a 'we don't mess with freshness' policy then the sushi cross the street. They ditch the old stuff, no stretching it till it's, well, you know. Cozy vibes, kind staff, and decor that charms. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but worth it. The Thai spring rolls and pineapple curry? Yum! And that butterfly lemonade? A taste explosion! My girl and I definitely are coming back.
This was such a cute and clean restaurant! I was craving mango sticky rice and when I saw they had it on their menu I went in without much thought and the dessert did NOT disappoint. I also ordered a Thai Tea which tasted amazing and was very sweet. The waiter was super nice and attentive. 10/10

Very tasty Thai food. I had the Pad See Ew combination and they made me a strawberry passion fruit mint smoothie that awesome as well.

Very nice little Thai spot. Nice esthetic…clean and simple. Tasty food. Service is a little relaxed, but very friendly. Parking can be a little tricky. There is a pay lot across the street and another one just south of the restaurant. There is also a small commercial loading zone just east of the restaurant. Garlic chicken and green beans was tasty, and was our favorite dish. The salad was refreshing as well. Chicken satay was average. Noodle dish was a little below average. Mango sticky rice was pretty solid.
We went to Thai consulate and decided to give this place try. They have Thai spring rolls, that is hard to find. We ordered Thai spring rolls, shrimp rolls and fish cake. They were all pretty good. Spring rolls sauce is sweet but I added chili oil and vinegar would help too. Fish cake was little spicy. Shrimp cake was good and crispy with plum sauce. Service was good even with many to go orders. I think there is small parking lots in the back. We parked on the street.
An intimate Thai eatery with nice date ambiance and elevated prices to match. Staff was friendly but not very attentive. Parking can be a bit hard to find on the street so your best bet is at the lots/garages nearby when it gets busy. Pretty small restaurant, could see there being a wait on the weekends. We came later on a Thursday night. Tried the Pearl summer roll, Thai fried rice, and green curry. The summer (spring?) rolls were incredibly overpriced, just a bunch of cheap salad ingredients wrapped in rice paper with (way too sweet) peanut sauce and mustard (???) on the side. Definitely skip! Thai fried rice was good but too sweet for my taste, I much prefer Nine & Nine's version (close by & cheaper). The green curry, though, was one of the best I've had in LA so far. I highly recommend. Really creamy and well flavored, with tender bamboo shoots, chicken, and veggies. And a nice spicy kick to finish! Would come back to try more of the curries.
I wasn't feeling that great before going out but this was a pretty satisfying dinner. I didn't order my usual dishes either so not their fault that the dishes weren't quite too my liking.
The food was actually pretty good. The server was friendly but not very attentive. The place is tiny but well-kept. There’s no parking, so you have to use metered parking or public parking. I would have appreciated if the server asked me how I liked the Tom Yum soup, as the spicy level was beyond what I could tolerate. And, I literally burned my tongue because the soup was too hot.
The pineapple shrimp curry is really good, I just wish they gave me more rice to eat it with. It’s very rich in flavor and it’s got a mild spicy kick to it. The Pad Thai wasn’t bad either, but I liked the curry more. The Pad Thai could use just a little bit more flavor. The restaurant is a little small but there are a bunch of tables inside. Service was really good. I parked in front of the restaurant, which was metered.

The food was good, but surprisingly expensive for what it was. Inflation has sadly affected many restaurants. I ordered a shrimp summer roll, and they put only half a shrimp for garnish, but zero shrimp inside the actual roll. I was pretty bummed. If ingredients are too expensive, it’s better to leave it off the menu entirely…. Again, very good food, but not budget friendly.

Grew up in Thailand, Not authentic curry. ordered spicy green curry which was both watery, not spicy and a small portion. Other dishes maybe fine

I eat a lot of Thai food and this didn’t taste like any Thai I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the pineapple salmon and the fish was so dry it was powdery and inedible and the sauce did not taste like it was freshly made. The lavender lemonade also did not taste freshly made. I admit to not checking thoroughly prior to ordering pickup from here as perhaps they are upfront about not preparing food in house? Or maybe they had an off day? Whatever the case, I’m hungry after spending $45 and cannot eat what taste like reheated food processed food.
Ordered (for delivery) veggie curry and got some awful tasting seafood soup instead. Please take more care when packing your delivery orders. Very frustrating when this happens after a long day and you just want to have some decent dinner.

The owner does not seem capable of running her business. I placed an order via an app associated with them - i'm assuming of their choice- the order was never received and upon calling the owner claims " she does not know how to refund or cancel an order". Additionally, she did not seem even remotely concerned that I wasted my lunch break walking over there and now am having to HOPE to get a refund from someone. The App ( RITUAL) instructed me to cancel via the restaurant - yet no one seems able to to process this.
