Excellent guacamole. Peppers stuffed with a very flavorful yet light blend of chicken, black beans, cheese, and more. Finished with a large serving of pumpkin flan that fortunately far lighter than it looked. Very pleasant atmosphere - sidewalk dining as well as in the restaurant. Service was excellent, if unhurried.
boy oh boy was this place delicious. we ordered it via GrubHub to our office, and everyone loved what they got. the food was definitely amazing quality and the portions were on point. can't wait to go again and try a different menu item!
Perfect place for brunch on a Sunday morning. Delicious food, many choices, friendly service and a little live music to get your day started. Highly recommend!
This places excellent! The service is good the food is fabulous. It's fresh and tasty with old dishes made new and healthier. This is one of my go to places when I have invited someone to lunch or someone is here from out of town ...I love Yahaira's.
One of my favorite brunch restaurants around SGV. If you're a vegetarian, they have a great vegetarian combination that's incredibly tasty. They had a seasonal pumpkin pancake that was simply the best tasting pancake I've ever had, and I'm not one to throw such words around flippantly. Not sure if their standard pancake is as good, but may give it a shot next time I go. Apparently they source their batter from some woman who makes it at home.
My husband and I rode our bikes to this cute little café. We didn’t have to wait when we arrived. Service was good. I didn’t have to ask twice for refill of water. I got the shrimp spinach salad. The large shrimp was seasoned great and perfectly cooked.
On the weekends, he explained to me, they have specials that are amazing. My wife got the pork chop, which was off the hook. The Mexican scramble is just delightfully seasoned so you enjoy the flavor of the eggs and something warm and subtle over the top.
The place is a little cramped, but that's because it's some of the best Hispanic food I've ever eaten and it's always busy because the locals know that. Highly recommend the shrimp burrito! 🌯🤤
This is my go to breakfast spot! I’m a picky eater so my order was create your omelette. Egg whites, cheese, asada with side of beans instead of potatoes and wheat toast. They got bomb salsa! So the food taste like homemade fun so that’s always great. Aside from that the ambiance in here is so nice they have great music playing not too loud and not too low. All the staff is super friendly always checking in and asking how the food was. They are always in a good mood here and make me feel welcome. Glad I found this gem in Pasadena. Thank you staff for your amazing service and good.
My favorite breakfast burrito is here! Love doing a pick up order. Got the kids hooked on them too. The service is always great. The food is always good. I LOVE their homemade salsa that comes with the food. Good coffee, good prices. Highly recommend!
Hands down the best Mexican breakfast / lunch in town. If I could rate it 10 stars, I would.
Excellent Cuban sandwich and fries, service was fast, food came slowly. The Cuban was unusual, it had ham, grilled chicken, and nicely crispy roasted pork - delicious! The fries were similarly of good taste and texture, the kind that has those little crispy bits on them. Service was fast, and easy to work with; I must have come when the kitchen was just starting up (11:40am), though, since it took almost 20 minutes for my food to arrive hot and fresh. Would definitely come back, just maybe expect a little wait.
Yahaira's: A Fiesta for the Tastebuds! Let me tell you, folks, if you're searching for a breakfast that bursts with flavor and sunshine, look no further than Yahaira's Cafe! This Pasadena gem stole the show this morning with a Mexican food fiesta that had my entire family raving. First up, the Mexican omelet. Imagine fluffy eggs embracing a vibrant medley of chorizo, peppers, onions, and melty cheese. Each bite was a delightful explosion of textures and tastes. It was like a party in my mouth, and everyone was invited! Then came the breakfast burrito, a champion contender for the title of "Most Satisfying Breakfast Ever." This behemoth was packed to the brim with fluffy scrambled eggs, savory sausage, tender potatoes, and all the fixings. One bite transported me straight to flavortown, and let me tell you, the rent there is very reasonable! But Yahaira's magic extends beyond the food. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service friendly and attentive. It felt like we were being welcomed into Yahaira's own home for a delicious family breakfast. Here's the verdict: Yahaira's Cafe is a must-visit for anyone seeking a phenomenal breakfast experience. Their Mexican specialties are bursting with flavor, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is delightful. We left feeling happy, satisfied, and ready to take on the day. If you're in Pasadena, do yourself a favor and treat your tastebuds to a fiesta at Yahaira's!
Third time stopping by and every dish has been great. Shrimp or steak tacos are awesome, and the guac had always been amazing. Almost burned myself on the fresh chips so watch out when they arrive.
I walked into this small Mexican restaurant during lunch time in a cloudy/raining day, not too many people inside and this is the first I got in here. The service staff greeted me, showed me my seat, handed me their menu and he goes "how about some pork tacos with avocado and beams? that is today's special". Well, I appreciated his friendly recommendation and gladly accepted his suggestion without even ask the price.... Shortly, the tacos plate was served; these tacos are very good, much better than my expectation, seriously. Then, the bill came at $12.95 (plus tax) which is very reasonable. I also like the staff's attitude toward customer: actively providing recommendation while I feel very comfortable for the entire lunch. This is a great lunch, I walked out very much refreshed.
Absolutely delicious! Their lunch tortes are fabulous and make sure to keep an eye out for dishes with their mango salsa. It's got a lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and fast. I'll definitely be going back here!
Showed up and got a breakfast burrito. The burrito was delicious, one of my favorite breakfast burritos I've had. Staff was nice and the food came out really quick. Might have to stop by again before I leave town.
First time at Yahaira's Cafe, waited about 30min during dinner time. Place is pretty popular so it's best to go at off times. They placed the complimentary basket of chips and bean dip at our table before we were even seated. Service was fast even despite being a full house. Food also came out surprisingly fast.
This is my favorite restaurant in Pasadena! Not only is the food beyond amazing every time, the people are wonderful (especially Ricardo!). We have been loyal diners here for more than 5 years, and we have never been disappointed. Even as I write these words, I am craving their homemade chips, signature salsa, and a plate of flavorful guacamole. Either that or some pancakes. Would it be wrong to order both? If you haven't been, do not miss your chance to savor life the Sahara's way.
Yahaira's Cafe in Pasadena is a fantastic restaurant for lunch, brunch, dinner dine in or takeout. Whatever you’re looking for is great. It’s family owned and operated and both the food and staff are great. The ambiance is cosy and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. They’ve got an outdoor patio with live music on the weekends that will accommodate anyone requiring wheelchair access. The outdoor area is spacious and offers a relaxed atmosphere that’s good for happy families, children and well behaved animals. I should add they’ve got great coffee. I absolutely love this place!
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at this cozy little cafe. It felt like we were in our mom's house. The staff is wonderful and cheerful, thank you for making our first visit memorable!
Stopped in here for breakfast. What a great choice, reasonal pricing. Coffee was great, they add cinnamon to it while it brews. Super friendly service. I will go back and I definitely recommend this place over more expensive places.
Excellent service and delicious food 10/10😋 very nice people work here gracias Yahaira 🫶🍽☕️
Stopped in while I was doing business in Pasadena, happy I did, because this was one of the best tortas I've ever had. The fries were great too, not too greasy or overly seasoned. Well worth the drive from Palmdale!🙏
Great Breakfast. This was a relaxing little breakfast spot. We sat outside in a well shaded area. I had Heavos Rancheros and the wife ordered Mario's Flat Enchilada. Both were great alot of food at a fair price. Coffee is good. I also ordered the half and half: half coffee, half Mexican hot chocolate it was bomb.
Excellent Mexican breakfast! Just a small place but the food is fresh and delicious. Got the Mexican omelette with chorizo and avocado. Friend got the machaca breakfast which is eggs and shredded beef. I was so stuffed I didn’t need lunch!
I loved this place. Was not overpriced. The food was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. Would strongly recommend and definitely going back!
Breakfast burrito and I can’t remember the name of this dish but it was Yucatan. We’re so glad to finally make it to Yahaira as every time we pass by it, they’re closed(they have reduced hrs now). We got brunch and it was a perfect choice! The dish I got had crispy corn tortilla on the bottom, sunny side up egg, then slice of ham on top, smothered in amazingly delicious tomato sauce. It was something I haven’t seen else where, and the combination of flavor and texture was on point! Quite big portion as well. Service was good and the coffee had a hint of cinnamon :) will visit again!
Went with family recently everything was great! We’re from Chicago so far this is the most authentic Mexican food we’ve had in California! THANK YOU GUYS!

Very comfortable and cozy Mexican restaurant. The food is really good and not super heavy. The service is amazing, really make you feel like home.
I happened to be staying in Pasadena and came upon Yahaira’s. It was perfect! The coffee was true to Mexican/Central American and the food tasted wonderfully!
My gosh, so good. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place. I had the Mexican panini, my wife had the vegetarian breakfast burrito, and we were both very happy.
Such a cute environment, great food and music. But the staff is the best part. Everyone is so friendly and kind and accommodating. 100/10
Had the chorizo plate and my wife had the omelette. We’re from San Antonio Texas and are particular about our Mexican food breakfast and this place was legit. Hit the spot and made me feel like home.
I have been here twice now and I will be back many more times. All of the food has been absolutely delicious, the service is super fast, and the atmosphere is very comfy and welcoming. I've sat inside and outside, and enjoyed both spots, but you can't beat an outside seat when the weather is great. I also appreciate that if you order juice you get a whole real glass of juice and not one of those itty bitty half glasses. The coffee is also very good, it's not like the burnt cheap dinner style coffee, it's good robust coffee that actually has flavor. I've tried 3 different breakfast entrees now and all were great, but I love the pork, it's cooked to perfection.
If you identify as brunch girl, you can't go wrong here. The tables in the alley give a nice buffer from the noise of the street. The vibes are SUPERB and the food is very good, especially the half and half (half chocolate, half coffee). Not the best option for Mexican breakfast, but a good one!

Our first time at this restaurant, small limited seating inside HOWEVER their covered patio area was super nice and interesting! The service was so nice and friendly! When I requested more coffee they were quick to bring more. The food was delicious and the menu was varied. If back in the area I would definitely return!
I had the Mexican Breakfast. It was really good. Good service and very attentive. I would definitely come back when I in the area again.

Enjoyed the food. FYI prices are a bit high. The music was louder than the conversations others were having It's nice and small and has 5 tables inside and a few tables in side corridor.

Saw this place on Oscar De La Hoya's story once and ever since then I wanted to try it out. I both like and dislike this place now that I've finally tried it, for starters when you scan the menu the description says one thing the picture shows another and that tricked me a but and played a role on what I ordered, second the staff was nice but not as attentive as it was with other costumers maybe we shouldn't of gone in sweats?!? God knows, but anyway the food was good not great but good The beans were great tho, that I do have to admit that! Maybe something else would of been better other than the breakfast burrito or the chorizo con huevos I had, sadly we won't be coming back anytime soon.
Food was good. I had the Portobello Omelet which was served with potatoes. The coffee there is excellent. The server was not attentive at all. He would walk past us but not ask if we needed anything. We were missing a few things we ordered which he claimed he "did not hear".
I came across this place by chance. I honestly had no clue what to expect. The workers were all very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the execution of their dish could have been better. It was difficult to eat their burrito without everything falling out. But, it was okay taste wise.
Nice location. The food was not amazing, but solid. The flavor did not quite hit. Great outdoor seating (dog friendly!). Service was solid!

We stopped in for a quick lunch, and sat on patio ( see photo), which is nice. Service could have been better. Food was pretty good. We probably won't return. Waitstaff not very friendly or attentive.
