Lee's Sandwiches

My go to spot for a quick lunch in Pasadena. Sandwiches are nuanced and perfectly balanced. Consistent also! The staff and customer service though deserve 6 stars. Above and beyond!

Since discovering this hidden gem last year, I have not gone to any of the other foot long sandwich shops because they don’t measure up (no pun intended). Lol. You can’t beat their tasty and mouthwatering sandwiches made from homemade baguettes or croissants. Try them once, and I guarantee you’ll come back, and back, and back…..✔️

Everything is excellent.... Except the street parking lol but that's hardly their fault. Every year I do a large group order. I prefer to call to order - easier to customize if necessary, and they're quite obliging (for example my coworker just had dental work done and couldn't chew hard food like baguette, but wanted an Asian sandwich. I asked, and received, the Asian filling in a croissant instead). Lee's Sandwiches do not disappoint! 😁

I love Lee's! But this location is always so busy. They could def use more staff! It's located on Colorado Blvd so the parking is always a hassle..but after all that I have to say it is still worth the wait! The wings are pretty good too! And I always order the chamomile tea😋

I happened to see one of these on the way to my hotel and it reminded me of the shops they had in Sac. Grabbed a grilled pork bahn mi for lunch with some egg rolls to share. Added a well done egg and loved it. All their sandwiches are really good. I will return if in the area for sure. Great food for a great price

Love going to Lee's. I normally get combination number 11 the special combination. Along with a large iced coffee. Have not had any issues at any of the locations thus far. This one's a little tougher to get to because they have restaurant seating on Colorado boulevard which limits the spots out in front of this location. Otherwise service was great and the food tasted wonderful. Also if you spend over $20 in a purchase you get one of their reusable totes.

Very clean restaurant. We ordered BLT sandwich on a 10 inch baguette and it tasted fresh. Lee’s coffee is the best.

As usual the food, coffee, and tea was phenomenal. The staff here is extremely friendly. While taking my order the cashier made sure I got exactly what I wanted by nicely explaining everything. Although they were slightly busy the order came fast accompanied with a friendly smile. While picking it up to leave the cashier named Robert,I believe, packed up my order and made sure I received everything I had ordered and whatever else I may need. I walked out the door happier than I was walking in. The service and food was great. Also great for lunch if you’re vegetarian but don’t want something overpriced.

Quality is great and consistent! The workers / management are very friendly at this location, I appreciate them so much! My orders always come out on time but definitely call to place your order ahead or order online if you’re coming during lunch time. Thank you Lee’s Pasadena Team!

Great deal for lunch! Vietnamese sandwiches are an excellent balance between calories, protein, fiber, taste and Price. Good service, but crowded at lunch time so you'll have to wait quite a bit, and the shop is kinda small.

Pretty decent food that is high in calories especially carbohydrates. Probably a great every once in a while meal. The restaurant is cleaner than most sandwich stores and is a unique offering in Pasadena which lacks sandwich stores in general.

I mainly come here for the sugary goodness that is their iced coffee. It's super strong, so be sure to let the ice melt and don't feel ripped off if it's not filled to the top. Once the ice melts is when the aforementioned goodness can begin. With other iced coffees, the ice melting means a watered down drink. Score one for Lee's. Other than the iced coffee expect pretty decent food at cheap prices. The bread is baked fresh, and I have yet to try anything I did not like. The sesame balls always hit the spot and the sandwiches, while pretty basic, will fill you up without draining your wallet. They should just rename this place Lee's Iced Coffee.

I always come here for their baguette. It's the only place to get fresh warm bread around here in Pasadena. It's only $1.5 for the baguette and I think that's good value. Their Vietnamese sandwiches are a little more expensive compare to other places in SGV. Therefore, I usually just get the baguette and make my own sandwich.

A great Vietnamese restaurant in Pasadena, CA !My husband and I were craving bah mi sandwiches and spring rolls, so we came to the right place.Everything was cooked very well and had tons of flavor. I opted for the tofu bah mi.The baguette was crispy, yet soft at the same time.My husband ordered the tofu rolls for us to share and the peanut sauce was delicious.Everything was relatively inexpensive for Pasadena, CA typical price point. It's a good stop for lunch or small dinner while you're exploring the city.

The good things about this place is that it has bright lighting. The workers were helpful in answering our questions. The food we ate here was tasty. The restaurant had clean tables and floors. The prices were reasonable and not too expensive The bad things about this place is that it has no bathrooms. There is only street parking. The music is a bit loud for my taste. Your experience may vary.

Standard Lee's menu and good quality. Smaller than the one on valley. Pasadena closed one lane to allow for outdoor dining. There are barriers right in front of the storefront where street parking used to be. There are 4 short term parking spots right to the east of the store on Colorado Blvd. You'll have to park on the side streets if those are occupied.

If you order a hot coffee drink (can't remember the specific drink)that already comes sweetend, I recommend you order a coffee drink where you add your own sugar, I don't know if they just slipped on the extra sugar but I almost fainted from the extreme sugar rush, couldn't finish it. I was surprised after I asked if the drink was very sweet and they said "no" but I guess everybody's sweet gage is different, nothing mean just an fyi. Sandwiches simple light and tasty, the pastries, looked yummy, will try next visit!

For the price the sandwiches are, you can't go wrong with Lee's, though this particular location is dead. There is only one worker there, and I was also the only customer. I ordered one sandwich and an iced coffee, and within receiving the sandwich, the worker completely forgot about my iced coffee. Place is very small, and it's kind of easy to miss. Good for pick-up if you live close by.

If you want to try something different, this sandwich shop is a good alternative to Subway and to TOGO's. They have Vietnamese/Asian sandwiches. They also have your typical ham, egg & cheese on croissant or baguette. Some of their Asian sandwiches tastes weird though so just try what works and what doesn't work for your tastebuds. I like their teas, smoothies, and other juice drinks. I also like their Vietnamese coffee. There are few chairs and tables here but this place doesn't get crowded as most people buy their food to go. UPDATE: Ordered a Turkey Croissant and Thai tea today and it took a while before they took my order. They only had two people working during the busy "lunch hour", no one was manning the cashier taking orders while they prepared previous orders taken. When the cashier was done helping prep the orders he then wnet back to manning the cashier. Some people walked out because it took a long time before the cashier started taking orders. They probably should have at least three people working during the busy hours of the day.

The sandwich was excellent with freshly on location baked baguette and very freshly cut veggies and meat and was delicious. But they probably make the sandwich way too cautiously, our one order took more than half an hour! We almost got a ticket on the 15 minutes parking zone!

Blah! The sandwich is mostly bread and barely any meat. You often have long waits to get your food. The employees seem barely interested in their positions and this seems like a place they go when they cant find a McDonalds to apply to.

Misinformed staff. Called over the phone was told the ice coffees are $1.99. Showed up in person and I was told in order to get a $1.99 coffee I had to buy a sandwich. I would of loved to know that info over the phone before showing up in person. Also the female associate has horrible customer service!

I have eaten at other Lee sandwich location and it's always delicious, because i found Groupon deal at this location thinking that it will taste the same right i was wrong. I ordered 3 sandwich and ice coffee but she said we only have enough for 2 sandwich so i go like ok 2s fine ,like 10mins later my sandwiches ready no sign of my coffee so i waited she was swiping the floor and she looked over see me still waiting she said your sandwiches ready i replied yes, I'm waiting for my coffee she totally forgot about it so i got everything that I ordered gave to my daughters they love Lee's sandwich but this time my kids didn't even finish it up so they gave to me and i get a bite of it boy let me tell you it was not taste like the Lee's sandwich at all bad.

The service at this place was horrible and the staff was not friendly. We waited 30 minutes after placing our order to get a cup of tea and a cup of coffee. The rest room was out of order (possibly due to the parade?), but they did not have the decency to post a sign and the first person we asked for a key said we could use it. I ordered black coffee to go, turned out when I got to my seats at the Rose parade the coffee had milk and sugar in it. Though the place was busy due to the rose parade, it was not that busy (the line was only about 10 deep).

Pretty bogus menu. I ordered here before and they hardly gave me any ingredients in the sandwich. The second time I came I asked them to make the sandwich look like the picture on the big menu above. They told me they couldn't do that without charging me extra. Why don't they put a picture representative of the cost your paying? Classic switch and bait.

I usually buy their bottled Vietnamese coffee here in Pasadena branch, 6 bottles each time coz they have a promo buy 2 get 1 free. So when I buy 4, I get 2 free = 6 bottles that also conveniently fit their 6-pack box. I buy in this branch weekly for the last several months. Last Sunday, 8/8/21, I came to buy my “weekly supply.” The lady behind the registry said we don’t offer buy 2 get 1 free anymore. I told them ok but that they’re advertising on their website a 20% discount on all items (which they had) and would like to avail of that, instead. The lady said they don’t know of any discount (even when I showed her their website on my phone that had the 20% discount on all items) and told me, “Maybe you should’ve purchased what you wanted from the website, instead.” Really?! What an arrogant employee they have! I know not to go for the Vietnamese coffee in this branch anymore! There’s other places that sells the same coffee with better and friendlier staff.

I hardly ever give a bad review, but the first two times I came here they were closed when their hours said they were open, and the third time they were so badly understaffed (two people in the shop during lunch rush) that the cashier stepped away to make food for a full ten minutes and I had to leave because my lunch break was going to end before I could get back to work. Maybe the food is good but I’ve never had a chance to order it… if you’d like to eat you might want to try your luck somewhere else.

I placed a delivery order on 4/8/2020 and 5/3/2020 through Lee's Sandwiches website and Lee's Sandwiches apps respectively. Both order got canceled without any communication. I called on 4/8/2020 to find out why my order didn't come, the lady told me that they didn't get the order and they don't have control of online order. It's better to use their apps to order. Therefore, I order again on 5/3/2020 through their apps. Same thing happened and I couldn't even get to talk to anyone regarding my order. Someone answered my phone and hanged up on me. And, I called again, they didn't pick up at all.
