This place is the best! I love it so much, I have been coming here for over 10 years. The food is delicious. I have ordered the baked potatoes, the ribs (SO GOOD), the mac&cheese, the broccoli cheese rice, the green beans, the banana pudding, yams, the sandwiches, and many others. This is 100% a family place, you see it all around you. The staff is adequately friendly, not overly courteous lol it is what it is, they're just real. I will say it is expensive, but it's bbq what can you expect. It has a serve yourself type of feel, where you go and order your food and take it to your table, and then get your own drinks, at the end you let the employees clean after you. The parking is a bit rough, just because it is a small establishment. I haven't gotten the to go orders so I can't comment on that. A couple tips: 1. If you come with a group, send someone to find a table while everyone eats, 2. There are three restrooms, kind of hidden around (just ask someone). I will say I have read a couple of the low ranking reviews, and I disagree with them. But simply put, this establishment doesn't really need any defending, or for those few customers to come back. Their food is good, and it speaks for themselves. Long story short, it is a great authentic place, but just come prepared to spend money.

Not a real flashing of exterior but wow was this food delicious. Our party tried 4 different types of meats and it each dish had a great flavor and portions were very generous. Highly recommend.

I'm all the way from Katy so this is a drive for me. But I don't mind it at all! I love their baked potato!!! I have not gotten anything else ever since I first came here. My fiancé gets his turkey baked potato and my brother gets the meat plate with 2 sides. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I love the tables because at every table they have different pictures which are pictures of the owners family so they are cool to look at! I love seeing all the quirky items all over the restaurant.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and family friendly. But disappointed in the food. Mac& cheese is very bland it’s giving Velveeta. The meat is drowning in sauce to cover the fact that the meat is under seasoned. Not sure. The set up is slightly confusing but if you have a bit of common sense you can figure it out. The staff are very nice and extremely welcoming. Unfortunately, the food is just not great and I won’t be back. Thanks for being a part of the community!

The meat options were nice and tasty, the drinks tasted fine. The sides were meh though, potato salad is probably just a me thing, the taste was just not compatible with my tongue. The mac and cheese was just average. I really should have stuck with my gut and ordered beans. Also on another note, I did do a pick up but from my limited interaction the service was really nice.

I like the vegan options. The jackfruit sandwich, potato salad, and baked beans were very good. I also had the cornbread which was amazing. My friend had the pudding which she said was very good. Cozy vibes and there was live music.

Really enjoyed the food. Ribs, and brisket were very tender and well flavored. The sides were okay. I had macaroni and green beans. But they had live music and made the experience very enjoyable. Came for the first time at the recommendation of the TV show “YOLO Texas”. We arrived at around 1:45 and as you might imagine seating was easy at that time. They have a nice selection of BBQ, sides and deserts. I got the brisket plate with 2 sides. I found the brisket flavorful but dry, the pinto beans were good and I enjoyed the broccoli cheese rice. My wife’s banana pudding is probably the best I’ve ever had. The decor is full of history and I really enjoyed the old feel of the place and their music selection.

The meat is great, and the sides are okay, but the sauce is absolutely awful. It's really thin and watered down. I would order their meat again, but bring your own BBQ sauce.

Soo this place popped up on a Google search for BBQ near me, I must say it wasn't horrible BUT it just wasn't what I was expecting!! After looking at the reviews I thought I ran across a hidden gem however I must say I've had better!! I ordered a Chopped Beef sandwich and a loaded Chopped beef potato with a small Root Beer for $29 and some change, now besides almost spending 30 bucks the entrees I selected could've been 10x better the potato was decent the amount of sour cream, cheese and chives could've been more considering the potato is swimming in chopped beef juice! Overall I give it a 6 out of 10 NOT bad BUT I kno plenty of better places for BBQ! The inside is a small "iykyk" kinda place, and the staff was welcoming

First time trying this place out, kept hearing amazing things about it and was a little disappointed in the overall food quality and taste.... First let me say the portion size was actually impressive. I got the Smoked Chicken Loaded Baked Potato and it is HUGE, along with a pint of Mac N Cheese and a small banana pudding which all were, again, decent portions. Now, as for the quality and flavor, the food was a bit cold when it got here, but it happens when you have food delivered. Parts of the potato were pretty hard, like it wasn't cooked all the way through, the BBQ sauce was not my favorite at all. The flavor wasn't horrible, but not great, and the consistency was like water. Would have loved if it was thicker and a little more savory. The Mac n Cheese pint wasn't worth the $9.95, doesn't have much flavor and again, was a bit runny, rather than thick and cheesy. The Banana Pudding was probably my favorite, though nothing particularly special sticks out about it. Overall rating would be a 5/10.

Cute decor , a lot to look at , but did not come to look around. The person sitting by the BACK DOOR , where the entrance was ,asked if it was our first time there , then told us to go right then left. When we ordered , we were asked if we wanted onions , pickles, and Bar B Q sauce. we said yes but had no idea the sauce was poured over the meat , and I did not care for sauce it was more Carolina than Texas, meaning it was very vinegar forward. The sausage was just ok , no great taste , I have had better from the store , much less a restaurant around for years. The pork ribs that I was so excited to eat really disappointed me they did taste ok if a little dry ( even if swimming in sauce), not a lot of meat and some gristle , I ate 1 gave one away and took 2 to go. The potato salad was nice if a little tangy , could benefit with just a scoch more mayonnaise , but I did love the bites of olive I got. The deviled eggs were a wonderful surprise to be offered as a side , again, very good but could have used some more mayonnaise. My VERY FAVORITE part of the meal was my banana pudding. I grew up in Texas, and when I was young, we had family reunions in family cemeteries in the middle of nowhere ( don't judge, it happened back when) , but all the grandmother's made a lot of the food , especially the desserts and this was my Nana Mabry's pudding . I would run there on bare feet for this pudding!! They do give you a ton of food for the price.

I hardly ever leave reviews because Central has always been spot on on their food and hospitality. Still is. This review is specifically for the new app. I gave them a great compliment on the new app and how easy it was to use. She told me oh wow I didn’t even know we had one. I said it anew I guess. I just downloaded it tonight. Well after we ate our delicious food I noticed that I paid more than my usual orders. I looked and the apps prices are a dollar more than regular prices. I purchased several items. This disappointed me but it’s my fault for not worrying about it since CB has been our spot for decades. Just be aware the app if part of door dash not direct. That way you save your frustration :( this review is only for the new app. We love this place. I wish I would have just called it in like I always do :(

This was my first time trying this place, my co workers were so excited. We all got baked potatoes and were sadly disappointed. The potatoes were undercooked and still hard in some places. The cheese was not melted and the bbq sauce was too runny and vinegary. I tried the chicken potato and the chicken was dry, flavorful but indeed dry. My coworker got the brisket and she didn’t enjoy hers either also dry. We decided to give the desserts a try and were all upset. Regrettably everyone tried the chocolate brownie. Let’s start with the fact that it is not a brownie and more like a cake. It was so dense and lacked flavor, it too was extremely dry and the texture was like a mouth full of grainy flour. I will say the serving sizes are huge. Even down to the dessert. That would have been a plus if everything had been enjoyable.
