Opinions de Touch Of Class Peekskill
The food was absolutely outstanding, however the service lacked a lot. it almost seemed that I was really bothering her by being in there to eat. The quality of the food made up for the weak service!!
Amazing food, great service and awesome selection of cocktails. Would definitely visit again!
Amazing food, Drove 1hr. 35 min to this restaurant! Met the chief, who was so warm Great place for family and friends alike!
I've been there twice already never disappointed it's always fresh I give it five stars because I was fully satisfied!
The food here always meets my expectations and more! Chef Mo came out and greeted us, he and his staff even sang happy birthday to the birthday girl and gave her a delicious cheesecake beautifully detailed! FYI You will have to wait a bit - maybe more than expected, however it is totally worth the wait. This is one of those authentic places where you don’t mind the wait because the chef is carefully preparing the food and adding the number one ingredient Love ! You can literally taste it! Enjoy
Happened to be visiting Croton today with my cousins we felt for some seafood and saw great reviews from a Touch Of Class which was 15 minutes away. We entered the restaurant and was greeted by a friendly waitress. We ordered the escovitch shrimp as an appetizer and escovitch snapper, seafood stew and tuna dish for entrees. It took a little while for the food to come out, however all I can say patience is a virtue! We tasted each others dishes, every dish was amazing! The seasoning was authentic, the portions are sizable, and the presentation was artistic and very decorative! The chef knows what he is doing and we can’t wait to go back to try the other dishes from this nice little restaurant. Kudos to the chef!
I recently went on a weekend getaway to Beacon and I was so nervous about finding good food. Touch of Class was the first restaurant we went to and I was SHOOK. Food was very good! The restaurant was completely empty which I am not used to being from NYC but it certainly isnt because of the food. The homemade salsa with plantain chips made me raise my eyebrows to such an unusual pairing at a West Indian restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the 1/4 jerk chicken and it was delicious as was the coconut polenta that I paired it with! SO delicious and while I don't think Ill be in Beacon every again, Im quite happy with having dined at this gem~
The food here is so delicious and full of flavors. My 6 year old had the jerk chicken rolls and was in love asked if we could come back again. We ordered the coconut shrimp, scallops with coconut risotto, the shrimp and corn salad with an order of the mac & cheese that was legit the best one I've had in a while. Definitely worth checking this place out.
If you are coming here make sure it’s with an old friend you want to catch up with or anyone who you love to spend a long time with as it seems that the chef takes time and care to prepare the food and IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. Portions are huge and the mac n cheese is bomb. We got the apple ton ribs and the jerk lamb and it was heaven. Drinks also were tasty!!! So happy we stepped in
Seafood stew is their must-have! Filled with really tasty mahi mahi, shrimp, lobster, crab, scallop, & red snapper. The broth is creamy, rich, salty, & a hint of sweet from the silky coconut. Total obsession. Not always open, which is a bummer because I love them!
3 times and it has not disappointed me yet. Nice intimate setting and quality food that's not being rushed out. One of my favorites places

My husband and I went here last Friday at 6:00 for dinner. The food was delicious. The Mac & cheese were to die for; the tuna was cooked to perfection; and the carrot cake was scrumptious. The service was wonderful. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The chef (Chef Mo) even came out and introduced himself. Had a great experience. Would definitely go back and try other things on the menu.
Simply put - Amazing food. We are both from the Caribbean and are often not that impressed with most of the Caribbean restaurants we go to. This place is without a doubt the best Caribbean place I have been to. (this of course excludes my mother's cooking). We had the jerk spring rolls and crab cake for an appetizer and they were both excellent. They were also interesting takes on those dishes which I guess is where the fusion element comes in. We also had the whole fish and the Oxtail dish. They were both fantastic and I am very particular with Oxtail as most places make it too greasy. Even the sides (rice and peas, plantain, potatoes) were amazing. My only regret is that I was too full to order dessert as I had my eye on the run and raisin bread pudding. We went with the kids and they had chicken fingers and fries and I hope next time they too will try the delicious Caribbean dishes. My parents are coming to visit this week and I plan to take them here for sure. Great job.
I have gone to this restaurant many times. Every time we go to eat, we enjoy our food. Due to the amount of workers at the restaurant, you will wait for your food; however, the food is delicious.
This place HANDS DOWN is the BEST Jamaican food I’ve ever had. We are new to the area and my husband and I have been trying to find a good Caribbean restaurant. We have been unsuccessful until now. Not only was the presentation beautifully executed, but the food literally melted in your mouth. My Husband had the Lamb and I had the jerk half chicken and we both noticed how the meat was not only flavorful, but juicy and cooked to perfection. The chef even came out to greet us which is not common to see. I NEVER write reviews, but the food was so amazing I felt compelled to write one. I cannot wait to go back and try their other dishes.
Food was very good. Jerk chicken is quite spicy so be prepared. Pumpkin bisque was excellent. Coconut shrimp was to die for. The owner is very personable and his daughter who waited on us is very sweet. Will definitely return.

Great place to eat if you've got some time! Food takes a while to come out (45 minutes, even with two tables of customers), but is delicious. Partner had the Mahi Mahi, and I had the jerk ribs. Coconut shrimp starter (3 pieces) and cocktail were both great. Jerk lamb had a little heat, you could definitely ask for more. If food came put a little quicker this place would certainly be 5 stars.
Had the mahi with creamy palenta and it was delicious. My husband had the jerk chicken and said it was borderline almost too hot to enjoy, and he eats hot food all the time. The service was very good, the wait staff came over numerous times to see if we needed anything. It did seem to take a while to get our food though. I would give yourself some extra time for dinner here if you have to be somewhere after. Will definitely eat here again.

The food was great. Service is a little slow, but once the food comes out it's well worth wait.

About two weeks ago, I took my niece here for her birthday dinner. We drove drove down from Middletown, and got there about 8:35 P.M. I didn't close until 10 P.M. but we were told they were closed. There was another table in there, and I asked was there private party going on. I was told; "No." Once I told them they need to update their time online, because that's false advertisement, the lady said we can come in. It is a small space with not many tables inside. The service wasn't great, and the food was okay. First time eating a Jerk spring roll, but I wouldn't suggest that. The soda was flat, but the drink was okay. The Mac Cheese was good, but they burnt it on top. The only thing I would suggest is the Steamed Snapper. Probably ten days had passed, and I drove back down there to eat at the restaurant directly right next door. It was about 6:40 P.M. on a Wednesday, and it was closed when online it said it closed at 10 P.M. They really need to change their hours. Bad business, and false advertisement.
