A pochi minuti dalla stazione di Varenna dove il personale una volta riservato il tavolo e chiamato, vi verrà a prendere con il il loro mitico mezzo. (Servizio compreso nel prezzo) Capienza massima 2-3 persone. Il ristorante gode di una bellissima vista lago con giardino molto curato. Il cibo è eccellente e ben presentato servito al tavolo da personale molto cortese ed attento al cliente.
Da outsider cerco sempre posti il più possibile autentici e poco turistici, questa è stata una delle volte in cui ho centrato a pieno il bersaglio. Raccolto, immerso nel verde e in posizione panoramica sul lago. Menù vario e con ampia scelta anche di piatti tipici del posto (che ricercavo con attenzione). Servizio impeccabile, cura per il cliente, consigli e spiegazioni sulle portate oltre che molta gentilezza. I prezzi sono adeguati per il servizio che viene garantito e le porzioni giuste. Data la piacevole esperienza tornerò presto.
Semplicemente sublime. Oltre al bel paesaggio circostante, è possibile assaggiare un menù di degustazione o di pesce o di terra, noi abbiamo optato per quello di pesce. Location molto bella, affacciata sul lago. Cucina curata, sia di lago che di mare. Bellissimo e gradito il servizio di trasporto da/per il ristorante a bordo di apecar. Tornata per la seconda volta per una prima comunione. Cibo abbondante (forse troppo per me che non stra mangio) e gustoso. Camerieri, e in generale il personale, tutti gentili e premurosi.
Menu vario con tante portate tra cui scegliere, piatti ottimi e della tradizione del lago... porzioni abbondanti. Location impareggiabile e staff preparato e cordiale. In piu vengono a prenderti direttamente dalla piazza di Varenna con un simpatico ape car.

Il ristorante si trova in un bellissimo giardino con una vista mozzafiato sul lago di Como, che rende l’esperienza ancora più unica. Non so chi sia lo chef, ma ogni piatto è cucinato con amore e servito in stoviglie eleganti. Molto gradito anche l’omaggio della casa: un calice di prosecco e degli antipasti deliziosi e ben presentati. La cucina è specializzata nel pesce del lago di Como, quindi abbiamo scelto piatti a base di pesce: ravioli, risotto e un mix di pesce. Tutto era straordinariamente buono. Veranda dei Pescatori is exactly such a place. The service is outstanding — a special thanks to Vittorio for his kindness and attentiveness. The restaurant is set in a beautiful garden with an incredible view over Lake Como, creating a truly unique atmosphere. I don’t know who the chef is, but every dish was cooked with love and served in elegant tableware. A very nice touch was the complimentary glass of prosecco and the delicious, beautifully presented appetizers. The cuisine is focused on fish from Lake Como, so we chose fish-based dishes: ravioli, risotto, and a mixed fish platter. Everything was exceptionally tasty. It was an unforgettable experience: excellent food, a wonderful setting, breathtaking views, and flawless service. I highly recommend Veranda dei Pescatori to anyone who wants to enjoy the true taste of Italy.
Ristorante a Varenna con un bel giardino e vista lago. Mangiato di sabato a pranzo e devo dire che sia il servizio che il cibo sono stati veramente buoni. Si inizia con un appatizer di crostini con formaggio fresco e uova di storione poi abbiamo preso un tagliere con prodotti tipici del luogo: bresaola, lardo altri salumi e formaggi locali, notevole. Siamo passati ai primi: pizzoccheri, molto buoni, risotto con.pesce persico e spaghettoni Felicetti con pomodorini e coregpne...notevoli entrambi. Buon cibo e cortesia. Da consigliare assolutamente.

Location sul lago di Como curata nei minimi dettagli con un meraviglioso giardino dove nelle giornate soleggiate è possibile mangiare vista lago. Personale attento e cortese verso il cliente, servizio celere e piatti di terra e di mare dagli accostamenti delicati, ma al tempo stesso ricchi di sapore. Un grande pregio va al servizio di trasporto offerto dal ristorante che in ape verrà a prendervi in paese per portarvi alla location. Prezzi nella norma per essere a Varenna. In ultimo, locale "dog friendly"! Molto Consigliato!
La Veranda dei Pescatori (Lake Como) was unbelievable. Like… this is what you picture when you think “I’m really in Italy right now.” The lake fish risotto was insane — creamy, delicate, perfectly cooked, and tasted like Lake Como on a plate. The beef carpaccio was unreal too, super clean and fresh, and the caviar just sent it over the top. Service was 10/10 — smooth, classy, never annoying, always there when you need them. And even the champagne was perfect. Everything felt effortless but high level. Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 If you’re in Lake Como and you don’t come here, you’re doing it wrong. Only recommendation: don’t overthink it — get the risotto + carpaccio and let the night happen.
My wife and I visited Varenna on our honeymoon and were fortunate enough to find this gem. The shuttle service (a tuk tuk) with the hospitality of blankets is something we will never forget. The staff were very kind and attentive. The food was amazing. Overall great experience!
Staff is wonderful and restaurant is elegant. The views are breath taking and food is some of the best we have had on our trip! The ravioli with fish is melt in your mouth! This is an experience we will never forget thank you!
100% MUST TRY in Varenna. Yes, it’s not in either main town but they have shuttles. The seafood pasta with green beans was amazing. Super unique but tasted phenomenal. The lake fish risotto was also a stand out meal. The fish was so fresh, delicate and delicious. I also got the fried lake fish which was delicious. They do a fantastic job here with the dishes. The wait staff was also great. Very easy to get someone’s attention. Though they do ask for a tip at the end. Tables weren’t full when I went so reservation might not be needed. I made a reservation though which is very easy to do.
Great place to evening dinner. Honestly tables hat one od the greatest view at Como Lake. Dishes are recommended by fisherman cheffs and anyone will find something tasty to eat. Trully I recommend this restaurant.
My family and I booked this restaurant while we stayed in Varenna, we booked it ahead of time via email because we were unsure about reservations and the restaurant offered to pick us up via free shuttle. It’s a fun scooter style rickshaw 3-wheeler. The food was incredible. Naturally at the end of our Lake Como trip we wanted to shy away from seafood and they offered to accommodate that since their truffle menu wasn’t in season it. Food 5/5. Lake perch ravioli amazing, gnocchi amazing, spaghetti carbonara amazing, beef kabob ‘Gypsy style’ amazing, mountain starter cheese/meat plate amazing Atmosphere 4/5: just happened to be very very warm outside but as the sun went down behind the mountain, much more enjoyable. Service 5/5. Very nice waiters who just wanted to make sure we had a good time. The restaurant is a bit off the path and up the hill but it was fantastic. Quite worth it, highly recommend it if you visit. Attached is the view from our table.
What a wonderful service by Victorio! He recommended this wonderful charcuterie board paired with beautiful local red wine. We also ordered their specialty fish dish, their filet and risotto. All excellent!
I cannot rave enough about this place! For the very start, we were greeted warmly with a gorgeous table with views and a complimentary glass of Prosecco. The views of the lake and mountains were unmatched. Exceptional seafood and pasta. Service attentive and kind. The absolute icing on the cake was that there were no trains that weekend and the restaurant went to great lengths to ensure we got back to our Airbnb in Bellano. Fantastic start to finish!!!
Wonderful views, great food, and fantastic and friendly service. We had the best lunch here - starting with delicious Prosecco (which turned into 2-3 glasses!), then the wayfarers chef menu, ending with a great cappuccino. Absolutely astonishing in every possible aspect. Service was fantastic. Offered free Prosecco as a welcome. Also, when it got cold, we were given blankets as we had sat outside. Atmosphere was elevating. The view is magnificent. Our waiter made us feel welcome and made sure to present our food in a very descriptive manner. Will definitely visit again in the future.
Stellar on all fronts. I'm not a huge fish eater but my wife was raised pescaterian, and we both agreed the risotto and ravioli were some of the best things we'd ever tasted. Great, friendly service with an awe-inspiring view. Off the beaten path, but if you can make it here, you will not regret your choice.
All around fantastic experience! They have their own shuttle that will pick up and drop off you at your location. The food was 10/10 fantastic. My fiance got a three course meal and I got a lake fish ravioli (shown in the photos except the beef skewers since I forgot to take a photo). Perfect amount of food for the two of us. The staff went above and beyond explaining each dish to us and ensuring we were cared for. They even gave us blankets once night fell and it got cold. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Lovely place.We parked our car in the train station and a little car will drive you to the restaurant. The street is very narrow for cars to go through.The food was great. I had the fish fixed menu and my husband the steak fixed menu. My favorite was the gnocchi. Our service is very good. And the view was stunning
Ristorante La Veranda Dei Pescatori On our last day in Bellagio, we took the ferry to Varenna to catch the train to Milan. Our son had found a restaurant next to the train station that he said was highly rated. The weather was nice, so, we hiked the streets and up the hill to Ristorante La Veranda Dei Pescatori. The timing was perfect as they had just opened. They seated us at a nice table overlooking the lake and the train station below. They started by bringing us some water and a sparkling wine sample. English is spoken fairly well. We ordered, fresh fish from Como, fish gnocchi, as well as a potato and cheese gnocchi. The view is really spectacular from above and provided some nice picture moments and to enjoy some wine while we waited for the food to be prepared. When the food arrived, the first taste from each dish was simply, “Wow”, as the food was delicious. After the meal, an apple strudel dessert was called for, and it too was the best. We were all set to walk back down the hill and back up the serpentine road to the train station, and again, the restaurant solved the problem by having a couple of 3 wheeled tuk-tuks to take you to the train or to the ferry. The bottom line from us, Service - Excellent, with multiple servers to take care of any needs. Food - Outstanding. Location - Close to the ferry and train station. Excellent views. Highly recommend. Caio!
We had an amazing dinner for my birthday. The atmosphere was very nice, the view- amazing. The food was very tasty, although we waited a bit long for the third course. But the staff was very nice, they explained everything so well, and they were really friendly. We loved the experience.
Worth the hike! The place is on the top of the hill. We walked from the dock and walked by foot to the resto. Apparently when we arrived, it's amazing. The view and the outdoor table are an amazing combo! The food was so nice too and the service was excellent. They gave us a pretty plate of appetizers, which is so good! And they have a drop point free service which took us the the city center so we dont need to walk down the hill again. Impressive experience!
Amazing restaurant, starting with its great sea view & cute terrace and keeping its promises throughout all meals. We had the meat menu option plus the burrata and it was all excellent. The tiramisu was also delicious. The cappuccino had a strong taste but we asked for more milk after which it was perfectly fine. The service is also outstanding, they are super nice and welcoming. I would recommend going to this restaurant to anyone who gets to Varenna as it is just a few minutes from the train or ferry.
This has to be the best dining experience in all of Italy. The food was incredible, the view and ambience is exceptional, the staff are funny and friendly, the prices were very fair considering the quality of the experience. I would recommend travelling to Italy just to eat here. I can’t recommend this highly enough. We had the tasting experience at lunchtime and loved every course. There wasn’t parking but they’ll pick you up from the station in a fancy little “shuttle”. Worth the experience just for that.

Antipasto misto lago: tutti gli assagini erano davvero deliziosi. Primo piatto risotto al pesce persico: sapore molto buono anche se mancava leggermente di sale e il riso era un po' avanti in cottura, comunque un buon piatto. Tiramisù buono un po' scarso di crema al mascarpone. Personale cortese e simpatico. Servizio navetta con ape piaggio davvero carino per raggiungere il ristorante dal paese. Location molto bella peccato non aver potuto sfruttare la veranda per maltempo. Ci tornerò sperando in un bel tramonto. I prezzi un po' alti.

Overrated food, the prices are crazy high for pasta that looks like it has been cooked by a drunk student playing it fancy dinner night. Atmosphere is amazing, service is nice, even though the waiters didn’t ask how the food went (maybe they know…). They even offer some little attentions to make up with the bland food, let’s appreciate that! They invest in everything but the food, which is dry and not tasty. Also we got out of there hungry, the plates are small. The burrata is good but you can’t charge 17€ to serve it with just a few pieces of tomato. Mi piacerebbe sapere le altre 767 persone che hanno recensito questo locale dove hanno mangiato prima. Ristorante commerciale con prezzi stile Venezia in piazza San Marco. Non sono usuale scrivere recensioni ma quando mangio così male è doveroso. Oltre a un servizio indiscreto con un’accoglienza da brividi dove la signora in sala è indisponente con zero attenzione verso il cliente. Il cibo è vergognoso. Piatti che escono fuori dal frigo, semifreddo al burro (non sto scherzando), tagliolini che sono colla. Sembra di mangiare nei ristoranti commerciali lungo le viette di Venezia. L’ambiente si salva, vista fuori il panorama. Il coperto è incluso si, ma primi piatti a 26-28€ e secondi fino ai 35€ con i dolci fino a 15€ è vergognoso. Se vi volete rovinare il pranzo o siete abituati a mangiare al Mc Donalds è il posto giusto per voi altrimenti sotto al ristorante c è un posto che fa gli asporti di pasta, vi consiglio andare lì. Unica menzione di merito al cameriere uomo che è l unico che ha avuto la dignità di tirar fuori un sorriso. La ristorazione è una cosa seria.
*DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE* *ESPERIENZA DELUDENTE* Sono andato in questo ristorante con grandi aspettative, ma purtroppo sono rimasto estremamente deluso. La mia esperienza è stata segnata da diverse pratiche poco trasparenti che mi hanno fatto sentire sfruttato come cliente. Nella mia cena, eravamo in tre, compresa una bambina che ha ordinato un PIATTO BABY KIDS. Se controllate il menu online, noterete che il costo di quel piatto è di 15 euro, ma sullo scontrino è stato addebitato 21 euro. Questo è solo il primo segnale di cosa stava per arrivare. Abbiamo condiviso un antipasto tra di noi e ordinato due secondi, per un totale di tre piatti. Tuttavia, ci è stato presentato un conto esagerato di 181,50 euro! Quando abbiamo pagato in contante con 180 euro, ci hanno addirittura chiesto un ulteriore 1,50 euro. In aggiunta, ci hanno fatto pagare articoli che non avevamo ordinato, e le bevande venivano servite senza prezzi chiari. Avevamo chiesto un 1/4 vino sfuso e il cameriere ci ha fatto capire che c’era disponibile, poi abbiamo preso un'altro 1/4 solo per poi dirci che si trattava di una bottiglia intera – oltretutto, senza nemmeno aprirla davanti a noi, come è consuetudine nei migliori ristoranti. Il prezzo non era chiaro, nemmeno sullo scontrino. È incredibile come in questo ristorante si crei l'impressione di "fare i furbi con i clienti", facendoli pagare da 20 a 35 euro in più a tavolo. Questa gente si spaccia per professionista, ma alla fine risulta solo fumo senza arrosto. La loro gentilezza sembra solo una scusa per prendere in giro i clienti. Con la scusa di un servizio di trasporto col motocarro per soli 200 metri, pensano di avere il diritto di farti uscire col portafoglio vuoto. Quando abbiamo chiamato il ristorante per far notare le discrepanze nei prezzi, ci hanno detto che, se fossimo tornati, avremmo potuto discutere delle differenze. Questo mi ha fatto sentire ingannato e frustrato. Non sto esagerando; allegherò una foto dello scontrino affinché possiate vedere voi stessi l'assurdità della situazione. Se siete stranieri e state pensando di visitare questo ristorante, vi consiglio vivamente di stare alla larga. Ci sono tanti altri posti che offrono un servizio migliore e prezzi onesti. Spero che questa recensione possa aiutare altri a evitare una brutta esperienza come la mia.
Food was bland Service from the old grey hot guy was terrible(another guy was great). We told them in the beginning that we were in a rush so needed the food to be served a bit quicker. They don’t say anything. While we ordered tiramisu, the old guy said “ this is not McDonalds” How ridiculous?? McDonald served us better than you and your food is not even as good.
