Big pumpkins, great apple cider, hay bales, corn maze, everything needed for a great fall afternoon!
Best farm ever! Most yummy Apples! Staff is amazing friendly. Animals zoo very neat. We love it. Amazing experience. We were lucky to meet the owner Bob an amazing person with so many wonderful stories. We loved this! Thanks, Bob and all your team! Looking forward to come soon again!
A must visit for the area! Delicious fresh produce and locally made products! U-pick berries in the summer, and apples in the fall available. Wagon rides to the pumpkin patch and corn maze seasonal activities for kids! There is a bakery on site open 7 days a week, and a cafe inside the store that offers coffee and take-out breakfast sandwiches 6 days a week. Take out lunch sandwiches are also available 5 days a week. Limited seating indoors and some outdoor seating as well with high chairs. Drive-through window allows for ease of picking up pre-ordered breakfast, lunch or bakery items. Homemade hard - serve ice cream, firewood, soil and plants also available for purchase.
Always stop to get some bread and apple butter when I'm up north. They have so many more good things those are just the two I always get. Bought some Mums this time. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people!
We have been going here all the way from Suffolk LI since COVID started. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They allowed us to go pumpkin picking and apple picking. My son picked a pumpkin that must of weighed 60 lbs, but same cost $10 and my daughter got a reasonable sized one. Their pumpkin bread is the best I ever had and their Blueberry pies were great as well! Thank you for a great afternoon, although the weather wasn't the best but you could only control so much!
Great place for the whole family! Fun for kids with a playground, sandbox, and the chance to feed the animals. There are also plenty of plants, seasonal activities like apple picking and pumpkins, and a very clean store with lots of unique items. The bakery is a must-visit with plenty of delicious options. Highly recommend!
The most pleasant little gem, about 45 minutes from Lake Placid. The staff are kind and the apple cider donuts are incredibly fluffy. The cider slushy was divine, with the perfect ratio of slush to juice. If I hadn't bought a half gallon of cider the day before, I would have sprung for more. The whoopie pie was a bit heavy on spice, but no less delightful. We walked to the back after picking up pastries and went to the petting zoo, which is less of a petting zoo and more a bunch of animals in barns. It was clean and hardly smelled like a barn, which was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to anyone. If not for apple picking, then at the very least for some cider.
Definitely a well-run establishment. The endless acres of orchards with the Adirondack Mountains in the background is picturesque. The selection in their store is superb and they offer breakfast and lunch options as well. There is a well kept petting zoo and playground area for children.
An amazing orchard with many possible activities for people of all ages. We went at the end of September and one could pick apples, pumpkins, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Additionally, there is a corn maze and a petting zoo. You can also buy their produce alongside delicious baked goods including cider donuts. Highly recommend!
Great place for petting animals, playing on the kids playground picking apples, getting pumpkins and delicious produce and baked goods in their great little farm store at Rulf's Orchard. We got the cider and sugared donuts and went and got apples with our daughter and 1 yr old granddaughter. It was her first visit and hopefully not her last so we can make wonderful memories.
Their apple pie, pumpkin rolls, peanut butter balls, apple cider donuts, and apples are grand. Blueberries raspberries strawberries cheeses canned food shirts, souvenirs, fresh veggies. Everything at this place is fresh. It's fall so you have pumpkin gourds squash and mums. I go there frequently and it is a very nice place to just stop and check out if your a tourist. All the berries, you have the option to pick, right along with the apples. You will not be disappointed. The pics are a peanut butter cookie, a sugar pumpkin spice donut, 6 sugar-coated apple cider donuts, cinnamon sugar donuts, and fresh apples. O and they do breakfast sandwiches and coffee too. Just so much.
Such an amazing find - if anyone is visiting the Plattsburgh area you have to make a point to visit Rulfs. Stopped to pick blueberries which were amazingly juicy and plump. But the real star was the doughnuts at the store. You will find the best cider doughnuts you have ever experienced. And their maple and cinnamon doughnuts are so fresh they just melt in your mouth. I dare you to eat just one.
Hands down one of the best orchards in the area. The location is right off the highway so it’s incredibly easy to find. The parking lot is big so there is enough parking. We went on a Friday afternoon and the orchard wasn’t crowded at all. Their prices can’t be beat! They have a large assortment of bag sizes and we ended up going with the second smallest. We spent $5 on a bag and walked away with around 15 apples. The staff were all so incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a cute little petting zoo and a corn maze. They also have a bakery and a gift shop. Their baked goods are absolutely fantastic and so is their apple cider. It’s a great spot to go if you have kids or just want to go apple picking. 100% will be back!
Great time at the Operations Valor Horizons veterans Pumpkin event. Rulfs orchards is always a great place for food and fresh grown Apples. It would be even better if someone of their food scould be GF/DF.
Got strawberry rhubarb pies. The pies are decent. We have been back for more. We would like more rhubarb in our pies, but we like them really tart. We also got apple cider doughnuts. They were very good, still warm and a bit crispy. I would like less sugar on the outside, but I don't like things all too sweet.
I took my parents to Rulfs today for the first time (they do not live in NY)so they could look around in the shop. I've been here a few times and never had an issue but today the men behind the counter were rude to my mother. My mom asked if it was possible to get some soup to go not realizing the containers were already set up that way. The man behind the counter with the red hoodie, glasses, and shaggy black hair had an attitude about it when trying to tell my mother it's just in a container and said she had to pay first before getting the soup which wasn't a problem. My mother is 70 years old and is hard of hearing so I'm sure when she kept saying to go it was because she couldn't hear anything the employee was telling her. Then after she paid she the woman helping us ( who was nice) walked away to get her soup and my mom said to me she needed her receipt so the other employee who has a beard and was wearing a blue shirt today rudely went over to the register and gave it to her. As if he was being inconvenienced. I'm pissed that my mother was treated this way and we spent over $100. I get its busy and the employees probably deal with a lot of people but it was not crowded and in the middle of the afternoon. We will go to Banker's Orchards next time.
As a Peru native my family and I have enjoyed all aspects of Rulfs Orchard. Sometimes we would stop just to see Bob. Unfortunately today as I stopped to buy apples and donuts the people working inside ignored me as I wanted baked goods. When I got the young girls attention she stopped talking with the other one and came over. Never before would Bob allow rude young people work there.
