Oh my goodness, I’m pleasantly full of delicious food! The service was fabulous and the drinks were delicious. I absolutely loved the burger which was made well done and still juicy. Most places hand out a burger drier than you want your socks to be. The calamari comes with a homemade sauce that is to die for and was cooked to perfection. Your servers will definitely be attentive and make sure your food is amazing.

Good food and friendly service. My husband and I were born surprised by how solid the food was. I had a New England clam chowder, which was creamy and had actual clams! Their sweet potato fries are lightly salted and had a slight kick to it. My husband had the fish and chips and thought that was delightful. Portions were large, but a bit pricey.

Located in Plattsburgh NY. We always enjoy dining at the Naked Turtle. A casual, waterside / marine restaurant. The food is hot, delicious and generous. The beer is deliciously cold and refreshing. They also have a wonderful selection of mixed cocktails. I ordered their sangria. YUMMY! The fish and chips were perfectly battered and both were crispy. I absolutely dislike soggy fries and these were NOT!! They have a kids menu that was very acceptable. The calamari was also excellent with both parts. The steak and shrimp were grilled exactly as requested. Well done! Was it a bit pricey, maybe, but the food and service was 100%. Friendly and attentive. If we couldn't get our waiter the hostess was glad to fill in without the " I'll get your waiter" comment. Thank you for making our dining experience a memorable one. And thank you for allowing pets! My Tori was happy to dine with the family too.

We researched this place for dinner before we left home on a long driving trip to Canada. Plenty of parking. Choice f I side or outside dining so we of course picked outside. Great view of the boats and lake. We ordered one fish and chips and one grilled salmon salad. We shared everything. Large portions and well cooked. Very tasty. Waitress was exceptionally nice.

Went back there after 5 years without going. The restaurant still looks the same. Really nice vibes and location. The staff is friendly. We were very disappointed because they stopped making the famous turtle sundae that we loved so much. Prices went up too. Overall a nice place with a great location next to the lake Champlain.

This place has a southern beach town vibe right on the shore of the lake. Awesome location I could just sit there all day with a beer or two. Decent bar food and a very good beer & selection. You pay for the view and location but it is definitely worth it. We will be back.

Beautiful view of the marina. I had a reservation for outside and they initially told me we would have to sit inside but I complained (I could have handled that more politely and the hostesses reaction was gracious in face of my attitude) and we were seated outside. The food was okay. They were out of fish and chips so I got the fish tacos instead. The fish was really good but got sogged out from the absolutely dripping coleslaw, which I found to be overly sweet. The sauce was just okay. I also got wings and the sauce was kinda meh but they were delightfully crispy. The service was very good for a party of 8.

This is a nice restaurant on the water front. It can be a little difficult finding a parking spot when they are busy. The food was good but the service was a little slow. Also not all of our food can out about the same time, it was 5 minutes or more for the last person to get their lunch. I had the fish and chips and the fish was tasty and the coating was very crunchy. I would have liked the fries to be a little crisper on the outside but I got a very large portion which was great. All of the food was served piping hot.

My husband and I went here one night while across the lake. Our expectations were very low due to the reviews we read but it was something different so we tried it. The food was good, and the service was good, the beer selection was very good. I would not recommend if you want something quick or are not interested in a bar atmosphere or bar style food. The outside dinning option right on the docks is defiantly the draw.

We had a good meal, but our order arrived incorrectly. Not the service we usually get there. All the food was great, other than calamari. Skip that. It's not crispy and has a very unappetizing pepper relish on it that nobody at the table liked... It's a popular spot, so be prepared to wait. You might want to decide up front who's paying. They have never cashed us out correctly, and we've been half a dozen times.

My friends and I came from Quebec and the atmosphere had a very relaxing vibe. We ate outside and enjoyed the view of the ocean. Our server and the owner were phenomenal. They were welcoming. I had the fish and chips and it was filling. Although not a fan of them charging me 2$ for Mayonnaise. I hate ketchup and Mustard. So, I dip my fries in mayonnaise.

Service was absolutely great! From the host to the waitress to the other servers in neighboring sections. The vibes and atmosphere are really cool too. 5/5 Food and cocktails....not so much. The fried shrimp is 10/10 and the fries are 10/10. Also the cocktail sauce is absurdly good. The calamari left room for improvement... it also came with cheese on top and mini octopi mixed in.... I don't know if that was on the menu at all or if I missed it. Either way...wasn't the best in the world. Also I was really disappointed in the fish & chips. The fish had an odd smell to it and though the batter was nice, there was zero flavor and zero salt. Definitely a disappointment. For the cocktail... I got the premium turtlerita and it tasted super watered down. Like no flavor from the juice or the tequila. Also didn't love the plastic glass thing it came in. Just overall super undesirable especially for a "premium" drink. If I was in the area, would I go here again? Yes! Because of service + atmosphere. I would probably just order less expensive items and a beer lol.

Food was way better than I expected after seeing other reviews. I had the surf n turf, steak and shrimp. It was a really good steak I thought. Chimichurri topping was really nice, I normally don't go for that but I was on a date and wanted to look sophisticated so I went with it. It's right on the lake at the marina. I'm from the Gulf Coast area in South Alabama and it had a feel like a lot of the restaurants down there. You kinda park out among the dry dicked boats and walk in. My only issue was the server kinda abandoned us at the end of the night. She was great during the meal, but after we got the check she absconded, like a reverse dine and dash. I had to hunt down some body so I could pay. They had live music on a Thursday, that was nice.

dining outdoors is highly recommended. Popular menu items include fish and chips, seafood chowder, and various tacos.

I only had a chance to visit for a drink and dessert. It was a short visit but it was a tasty Sweet Tea and a yummy Keylime pie. Definitely one of the best views in town. Can't beat waterfront dinnig. I'll be back soon to explore the rest of the menu.

I had a great experience food was excellent, I had the street corn dip and the pesto penne pasta. It couldn't have been better. My waitress Hailey was also a wonderful person! she was friendly, inviting and a joy to be served by I would recommend her to anyone.

Outdoor marina seating, great food and great service. They are at the end of a side street at the marina so they have their own parking. Wide variety of choices for the menu and it was all delicious.

Great place for lunch and a cold drink. The burgers are very good and our server did a good job. Sit outside for a beautiful view of the lake and if you're lucky like we were, you may even see a bald eagle flying overhead.

We go to the Naked Turtle a few times a year during the summer season. The staff is always great and very friendly. The food is good however very limited seafood options for being a restaurant on the water. Depending on when you go there it may take some time to get your food once you’re seated. Overall a nice place to eat and great atmosphere.

The selling point for us was the lakefront dining and ice cream for the kids. However, our waitress was overworked and she visited our table less with time. It took literally 45 minutes after we asked for the kid's ice cream and our check to get them. My food was lukewarm when our food came too. I do not think we'll be coming back or recommending it to others, but it was a nice atmosphere thanks to the decor and the lakefront. For that I'll keep it 3 stars.

The low ratings for the food don't lie. The food leave much to be desired. Especially given the prices.(How does one mess up penne with pasta?!) But it's a good place to have a drink and be by the water. I would come back for a happy hour but I would come having already eaten or with plans to eat elsewhere. The staff was very nice.

Very slow. For our party of four, from ordering to food delivery was about 25 minutes for basic fare off their limited menu. It wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. Otherwise the service and food quality was acceptable even if the menu was somewhat limited. It's not a place to avoid. But it's not a must visit restaurant either.

Good was above average. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday and there was a 30 min wait, which was fine. But it took quite a while after being seated to get someone to take our drink and food order. We were seated for about 45 min before our food came. Overall it was a nice setting and tasty.

We should’ve said something to the manager. The “last year’s chef” comment was due to your waitress stating he had left & “we’ve heard numerous disappointments.” We figured it would fall on deaf ears.

The location was amazing! The food was ok. The portion sizes were good but the taste was nothing special. The service was typical of teenage summer help: apps delivered with no utensils or plate and messy splotch on table not wiped when brought to the attention of server. Would I go back? Yeah, for the view but maybe I'd just order a drink next time.

Overpriced, slow service, view of the parking lot. Two people for a simple dockside lunch was $54 for tacos and a salad. It took 20 minutes for a server to even acknowledge us and another half an hour just to get the lunch. For that kind of money, I'd expect a nicer atmosphere. faster service and upscale food.

We’re seated at table, no service for 20 mins. People seated after us were served. Had to move to bar to get served. Wings were cold in the middle. Go for the outdoor seating and view.

We were a party of 9 and were asked if we had a reservation. They were not busy at all and seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff. Food came out and one meal was not brought out. My guess the waitress forgot to put it in. 25 min later the fish and chips finally came out. No apology and no offer of a discount for the inconvenience. We were not a fan.

You will be paying for the location more than the food. Boats lined the dinning area blocking the view. Staff was wonderful and kind. Food was overpriced. I ordered a BLT for 17 dollars and it had three pieces of bacon. It’s a nice place for sitting outside but be prepared to pay for that.

We went to the naked turtle for the view. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to enjoy some outside dining. We waited 15+ minutes for our server, And he only came to the table because I got up and mentioned to the hostess that I feel they forgot about us. Drinks took a bit to get, food came quick. The caprese panini was so good, my sweet potato fries were cold. Prices are $$$ and menu is on the smaller side. Nothing about this experience made me want to return. Nice atmosphere, great deck overlooking Lake Champlain. Get the calamari it's great. The dinners we ordered were just ok. The seafood bisque is not what I consider a bisque. Come for ambiance, come for drinks, come for the lake view.

Disorganized & mediocre (cold) food. We made a reservation 1 week in advance. When we arrived they didn't have our reservation written down. Initially the hostess was apologetic and told us she would seat us in a few minutes. She then spoke with a manager and came back and told us we would have to wait 30-40 min. She took our phone number down and told us she would text us when a table was available. Approximately 20 minutes later, another group of people came and were also put on the wait list. We were sitting in our car watching when they offered the party behind us a table. My husband went up and asked what was going on. They apologized again and said it would be another 10 min! We ordered seafood chowder that was lukewarm (seemed reheated) and wings that were also lukewarm. The best part of our meal was our pleasant waiter...and the French fries. Would not recommend.

A very awkward and odd experience here. The waitress didn't know her menu, had to go back to ask multiple times for simple questions like a side substitution. Which was refused even though the side we asked for was on the menu. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids, we ordered what we wanted. The apps took nearly 40min to arrive, the main course shortly after so total about an hour wait. Considering it was raining it wasn't that busy. Then at the end when we ask for our cheque they bring only one and said they can't split the cheque for a group of 6 or more. Which is normally something you'd advise us before hand. Considering the mediocre food and subpar service you'd hope they'd be more accommodating. Was an odd experience, wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return.

When you can't cook a hamburger and you get ice cold fries and not so ice cold 6.00 draft beers why bother! The place was empty on July 5th, I know why!

Two friends and I decided to go here to celebrate her birthday on 8/16/21. There was a 25 minute wait (not an issue), so we grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting, which was very tasty. Once our table was ready, we were seated. We waited a good 25 minutes before one of the friends went to get water from the bar as a cover to ask what was taking so long. The friend returned and said that the staff forgot about us. The waiter came to the table a short time later and asked for our beverage and entree orders. Once our entrees arrived. I noticed our French fries were not hot, and there wasn't much potato to them. I wasn't pleased with being forgotten. It was the entree that caused me to write a review.

Downgrade to two stars. It's not the first it same situation happens me. The restaurant is described as closing at 21pm on Sundays. Here we are after a detour purposely made to go for dinner at this place before going back to Montréal. Kitchen closed, it's 19h45. Beware they don't respect their clientele. Same for a family in front of us of 5 people looking for a place to eat before heading back to Québec.

Need to caveat this review - had dinner here on Sunday 08/31. Bartender advised it was their last day of the season and were closing for the fall/winter. Therefore, more than a few regular menu items were not available. We sat on deck overlooking the boat basin and lake. It was very nice. Food was OK. Service was good. I would give it a try again should I be in the area during the summer season

Service was great, everyone was nice. The view is great and there’s a variety seating. Didn’t have to wait very long for anything. Food was very disappointing though. The fries were awful, severely under-fried, extremely wet and soggy. The coleslaw was an insult to anyone who likes coleslaw. The caesar salad was under-dressed, almost plain. The lobster roll was $40 but not worth it. It was fine. The calamari was pretty standard as far as restaurant calamari goes. Fine. The burger was the best part. The white sangria was good, and the first draft beer we ordered was 2 oz. less than the second one. The menu was small and lacks cohesion. Total was $125 for two people and we walked out feeling like “meh”. Definitely would not come again. At least not for the food.

My experience at Naked Turtle was very disappointing. While the food was okay, the service was truly lacking. Waiting 45 minutes to be seated and then waiting 10-15 minutes just for water and drinks was frustrating, and a 45-minute delay for our meal was excessive. Another big error was adding chicken to my vegetarian girlfriend's plate and then charging us for their mistake. The pasta with pesto was overwhelmingly oily, it was almost like soup at that point... Given the overall experience, the dishes didn't align with their price. Unfortunately, I can only give this 1/5 stars.

So upset … there’s no organized service at all . ´ there’s a 30 minute wait time «  but there’s empty seats everywhere . ALL the bars are missing staff . You have to CHASE a waiter down .There’s a host who forgets to give you the menu. To be honest I’m extremely upset . For a « new place » they better get their act together. Honestly ruined our ENTIRE trip .

Went for dinner sat at the inside bar at first the service was alright . We and one other couple were the only others sitting at the bar. So it wasn’t exactly like they were busy . Had to ask for more drinks twice . They never asked how our food was. Then when it was time to leave took like 20 minutes for someone to notice us to get our bill. Should have just walked out maybe they would have noticed then. Sad when you pay people to work they ignore customers to play on their phones. Never again!!

I had a terrible time at The Naked Turtle. The food was overpriced and lacked flavor, with small portions that didn't justify the high cost. Service was dreadful—slow, inattentive, and unprofessional, with repeated mistakes in our order. The atmosphere was noisy and uninviting, adding to the overall disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We waited 30 minutes, had to talk to the waitress and they gave us a table, only to tell us that there was nothing... only hamburgers... lousy... the menu is very poor.

I’m fairly certain they don’t wash the salad ingredients properly. Why do i think this? Because i have been having unpleasantness since i went here. That’s why. Also apparently its well known that this place has questionable food because everyone i warned said they already knew not to go here for anything other than drinks and fried anything

5 stars for beeing dog friendly but... When we arrived, there were several empty tables, yet we were made to wait fifteen minutes. In the end, we were seated at a table that had been available the entire time in back despite better tables were available at that time and the same tables.were still empty when we left... The table had just been wiped but was completely soaked. We asked the hostess—who didn’t crack a smile once—if she could dry it for us. She told us to do it ourselves with a napkin. In the container where the napkins and sauces usually are, there was only one napkin… We ended up grabbing napkins from other tables to dry it ourselves. That pretty much set the tone for the service. Our server was polite, but we ordered two cocktails that were overpriced for what they were, and a soda that turned out to be just sparkling water because the tank hadn’t been replaced. I had to get up and ask for a replacement. I also had to get up to request mayonnaise and hot sauce. I’m pretty sure the fish tacos were supposed to come with coleslaw, but it never showed up. On top of that, the ceiling above the sofas clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months—tons of bugs and cobwebs hanging there. The menu is seriously overpriced and feels like a tourist trap. At the end, once you convert it to Canadian dollars, paying over $50 plus tip for two fish tacos, about fifteen fries, and a cocktail that tasted like pre-mix is just way too much—especially for virtually no service, in a restaurant that was half empty.
