Great pizza, pretzel sticks, and wings! The beer menu changes often, but their app allows you to see what us on tap. The staff are great and always able to early you find the perfect pour.
Love this place - the pizza is delicious and the beer selection is always excellent.
A huge shout out to the owner for procuring some of the rarest and most sought after beers from around the country! If you are a beer nerd, this is your new favorite spot. They manage to import Maine Beer Co, Anchorage, Other Half, the Bruery, Prairie, Toppling Goliath, and so much more. And the owner is knowledgeable about other greats like Alchemist, Treehouse, and Russian River - who unfortunately don't distribute in Texas. But Lord knows he's trying his darndest to get more distribution partners. Someday, when Texas distributors get their act together and start blessing us with the East and West Coast greats, the Growler Bar will be the first in line. And I love that about them. The food is also unexpectedly amazing for a pub - I love the wings and my wife loves the pizza rolls. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, great events, friendly staffers, and so much more. How did the best pub in Austin end up in Pflugerville?? My siblings in Christ, keep supporting Growler Bar!! A local gem, forever.
We come here all the time. The food is really delicious and they have plenty of beer options. The wine options they have are typically really good as well. We love to sit outside on a really nice day or pick up pizza rolls and wings to go for home. Whether it’s pizza night or beers with friends, definitely give this place a try. Staff are always super friendly and knowledgeable about their beer. The experience is always consistently good.
Excellent food and large beer selection! Very friendly staff! Love the small, neighborhood feel. My first visit and I was thoroughly impressed! Definitely will be back again.
Great spot for yummy local and regional brews. Plus they have NA and wine. Quite possibly some of the best chicken wings I have ever had and those meat balls are to die for. I’ll be back.
Really enjoyed this location! Stopped in for lunch. We shared meatballs and a bbq chicken pizza. I loved the variety of beer, with lots of non-alcoholic options as well! Friendly staff and the restaurant was clean. Will definitely be back.
Love this place! You can taste rest before you settle on a selection, which I love! I'm always game for trying new things, so this let's me do that without worrying I won't like it. Good is always solid as well. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
Great food here the cheese pull on the pizza is real. My favorite thing to pair it with is the mango habenero wings and a chardonnay. Friend staff who enjoy working here. Overall the atmosphere is great and room for large crowds. Also outside area is pet friendly.
Pizza is good and I've had fun each time I've been
Plenty of beer to choose from. Best pizza in Pflugerville
The pizza is superb. I've recently moved to the area, but my search for a good pizza place is finished. Highly recommended.
This place is amazing- awesome people working here. Great selection of beers, the pizza, the bratwurst, and the pretzels are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!!!!!
First time at this bar since I moved to Pflugerville and it’s amazing! They have a lot of beer options from all over, they don’t make their own but have enough quality beer selection to spend all day drinking. I personally loved the triple hazy IPA and some other IPAs they had. As for the food, it was also really good. Wings had good flavor and seasoned right, also the pizza was delicious. There is an outside area, it’s not big but plenty.
Came here for dinner after a business trip and they happened to be doing music bingo which was a really fun time. The atmosphere is inviting, family friendly, clean, they have a variety of drinks to choose from, including non-alcoholic beer and the food was really good. The majority of their menu is Pizza items, but I myself ordered a Caesar salad and spicy garlic parmesan wings. Both were awesome and I'm very picky about my Caesar salad. The hostess working the bingo was so awesome, super friendly and made sure to come up and greet our the table and ask about our stay and travels. She even asked to take our picture which I absolutely loved! If I lived in this area, I would most definitely make that one of my regular hot spots to visit.
One of the best pizza spots around so don’t sleep on it! They have a ton of beers on tap as well. A local favorite
We love the Growler! They have so many options along with fantastic food (we’re huge fans of the pepperoni pizza rolls & caprese salad!), & it’s become one of our favorite local spots! Highly recommend to anyone who wants friendly service, great food, & a chill place to watch sports & relax after work!
The growler bar is a gem tucked away in Pflugerville. They have a wide assortment of beer on tap so there's always something for everyone. What really stands out for myself is the food, this isn't your rub of the mill bar food. The lunch menu sandwiches are my absolute favorite, and the pizza is fantastic. The music also makes my alt millenial heart happy.
Great selection of beers that they rotate pretty frequently.. usually around 50 different taps to choose from and the staff is always throwing us great suggestions to try. Food is solid - go for the meatballs in a cup. Pizza and wings won’t let you down either. All around great local spot
Pizza is legit…definitely one of a kind in P’ville! Plus the rotating taps keep the beer lovers on edge. Bartenders Eric set the vibes on Friday nights and Brennan has the choice Classic Rock playlists! Love Growlers!!!!
They had an amber that was so tasty and their carnivor pizza did not dissapoint. I had been craving pizza and that hit the spot. Even the crust is nom worthy. I got the cheeseburger pizza to go. Excited for left overs tomorrow 😄👍
I have been coming here for over 3 years now and they have the best wings in town, and the best I’ve found in the Austin area!! The lemon pepper is so good!! They have fantastic pizza and pizza rolls as well. They also carry over 50 local beers and wine which is fun to try and the staff is very friendly!! I recommend this place for anyone!! Plus if you like trivia, come on a Tuesday night and have fun with the trivia!! This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Austin area and a place I recommend everyone should try out at least once!!
New favorite place in the Pflugervilles. Service was great, food was good and fast, and the vibes were wonderful. The pizza is delish, soft crust, and the salad was very tasty. The beers were great too and it shows you the keg level. Everyone was so nice and they have an inside and outside area too. We can't wait to go back!!!
Everything about this place is great. The food is absolutely amazing and doesn't taste like typical bar food. The pizza me and my mom got had so much flavor, trivia was super fun and the hostess was funny and overall such a sweetie. The inside and outside is also nice as well.
5 stars for the service alone, especially since we sat in the outdoor patio area. Manager/owner brought out some treats for our dogs and offered water immediately. 2 beers, pretzel sticks, and a bratwurst sandwich for $36, not too shabby. The server misheard my wife and forgot to add the Caesar salad so they gave it to us free despite us offering to pay. The cheese dip and the brown mustard for the pretzels were delicious. Mustard had a nice spice. The brat was slightly under seasoned but the mustard and sour kraut helped. Great spot, will definitely come back anytime we pass through Pflugerville.
Feally enjoyed the beer selection. They had a lot of options, many of them local. Bartender was very knowledgable. I was surprised at the quality of the calzones and pizza rolls. The crust was excellent and they absolutely stuffed everything with mozzarella. Our pizza rolls came out a little overdone, but it didn't affect flavor.
Loved the pesto pizza. Lots of craft beer options. Service is amazing. Not too loud and can have a conversation. Tables with high chairs available for groups.
Bear in mind that this is a pub with pizza. The Growler bar has one simple aim, to bring great beer to the people of Pflugerville (and serve food on the side) Their aim was great and they have brought great beer (and wine and kombucha and root beer) from around the world into our community. With over 50 taps there is something to satisfy everyone’s taste. And the food is pretty good too. We sat outside at one of the covered tables and had a selection of beers including a Red Ale from Shamus Brewing in Austin, an IPA from Texas Brewing, a Pale Ale From Austin Beer works and a Crackberry Cider from Bishop Cider. To accompany the drinks we ate delicious pizza rolls and tried to answer the trivia questions that came over the speakers.
Great place, really enjoyed the pizza roles and pizza, best I've had in a while. They have an extensive selection of beers. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Had dinner at The Growler last Friday, my first visit. The bar looks way smaller from outside. They have outside tables, but we picked one inside. Sam was our server, she was friendly and attentive. The bar offers several options of beer on tap, I tried their Summer IPA (good beer) and later had a pint of the Electric Jellyfish, one of my favorite Hazy IPAs brewed in Austin. Their food menu is quite impressive, lots of options. We wanted to try a pizza, as we noticed a lot of people ordering and taking them out. Our pick was safe though, the traditional Margherita. Great flavor, good crust. We talked to a few regulars, who highly recommended the pizza rolls and wings. We'll definitely get back, we had a great time. It's easy to park, prices are decent, service is solid.
I love this local pub. There are lots of craft beers on tap to choose from with a menu full of yummy foods. Food: you can't go wrong with the carnivore, pepperoni pizza rolls or hot bufallo wings. The potato skins...eh, I'll probably never order them again. Beer: all your favorite craft beers and plenty you've never heard of. Lots of outdoor seating with umbrellas to block the sun.
Went for Tuesday trivia night. Friendly people, good food and a wide selection of beers. Staff was helpful in selecting a beer to suit my taste.
One of the best pizza bars we’ve ever been to! The staff is so friendly and attentive to what you may need. The pizza and wings are absolutely amazing and flavorful. Will definitely be coming back!
They have amazing collection of beers on tap. The servers and the bartender are very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make a customer happy. Hidden gem of Pflugerville.
Well I have been coming here since this place opened. I have had phenomenal experiences both with my family and friends. 59 local beers on tap! It's paradise in our local Pflugerville area! This place even rated in the top 20 best places to drink in the Austin area! My friends and I ran up $1,300 to $2,000 tablet one time here. So I don't need to say more but I shall continue to share my experience here. The food here is really great for bar food. They originally started with a BBQ place serving food 4 food trucks coming by support them when they initially opened. Then they built their own kitchen. Their kitchen sink pizza is one of theirnnest pizzas and their salads here are always fresh. I really enjoy some wings and salad on occasions when I come visit. All the staff offer great customer service and we continue see a lot of familiar faces throughout the years. The ambiance is a relaxing one, you have a choice to sit inside or outside when they're nt extremely busy. They have awesome tap options to choose from, include wine, and soda fountain machine. This is kid family friendly environment. If you're visiting Pflugerville for the first time definitely give this place a try and share your experience with us all.
I have been going to the GB consistently for over three year and this place is spot on! I enjoy the food, the beer selection, and the atmosphere. The place is typically busy in the evenings, but that doesn’t empede the service in any way. I hope this place continues to do well in a struggling economy.
The best wings I've had in a long time. I tried the lemon pepper and mango habanero, and both were packed with flavor. The lemon pepper was perfectly seasoned, and the mango habanero had a great sweet heat without being overpowering. The beer selection is also excellent with plenty of options. Service was quick and the atmosphere was relaxed. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.
the growler bar and kitchen is a great spot for lots of different beers and wine. the kitchen side of things is making some really tasty stuff as well, including the wings which were delicious. indoor and outdoor seating, pretty simple atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and helpful. definitely worth checking out if you are nearby!
We ordered a half Pepperoni and half Margherita pizza and absolutely loved the half-and-half option. The pizza was delicious, fresh, and flavorful without feeling heavy. We also tried the garlic parmesan bone-in wings — they were big, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Sam provided amazing service! She was very down-to-earth and friendly, took the time to explain the menu, and gave great recommendations. Overall, a wonderful experience — we’ll definitely be back!
Had a great time here with family. Awesome pizza. Great beer selection. Sam was a great bartender. They had a trivia night when we were there that was a lot of fun. Definitely coming back again when we are visiting again. We had the caprese pizza and pretzel sticks with beer cheese sauce also tried the pizza rolls which were awesome. It’s family friendly.
Dropped for a quick brew on a hot day and the place was a real find. We were from out of town and Eric (the bar keep) was super Helpful with us to workare way thru the huge selection beer, and went out of his way to point us in the right direction for our afternoon. Nice quite spot to enjoy a brew in the sun just
If you like pizza and beer this is the place for you. Constantly offer new beers on tap so it's never old. Trivia on Tuesday, Bingo on Wednesday, Jeopardy on Saturday.
I love this place. I'd say they have the best pizza in Pflugerville. The bartenders customer service is amazing. I am always able to find something I want to drink here. They do a great job keeping the place clean.
It was my first time here tonight, and everything was amazing. My wife and I are not beer drinkers, and that did not matter as we both found something we really enjoyed. The apple pie mead was spectacular, and the #17 Tiny Essess was amazing, even for people who do not enjoy beers. And the food was delicious as well. I highly recommend trying the meatball sliders. I’m sure everyone goes here for the drinks, pizza, and wings which are of course all great but that’s why I have to mention those sliders. They were perfect in every way, and you need to try them on your next visit!
We visited a few days ago for by birthday and had a great experience! The 2 ladies behind the bar were super helpful and friendly with our large crowd. All the food arrived quickly and was really really good! The cheeseburger pizza is my new favorite!
The pizza here is some of the best I've had. It's worth stopping by just for the food alone. I'd stay away from the wings though - when I got them they were on the smaller side. Good beer selection - staff is helpful and happy to recommend something for you.
The Growler Bar is a great place to chill with friends on any night of the week. They have a huge selection of taps and a wide variety, too. The pizza rolls are always our go-to, but they have salads, sandwiches, meatballs, full-size pizzas, and more. Check out the menu for more. The atmosphere is cool outside or in. There is plenty of seating inside at the bar or surrounding tables. There are plugs along the wall if you wish to work from there. They have coffee and chai on tap. Within the last 2 years, they added a covered section for outside, with TVs. There are heaters for the cold nights, and the tent can save you from a sunburn in the summer. A couple of cornhole boards will keep you or the kids entertained while you enjoy a beverage. They have sodas, milk, and juice for the little ones. Keep an eye out on social media for events like cool car meet-ups or trivia.
Stopped here on our way from Austin heading to Dallas and we're glad we did. The bartenders Matt and Eric were awesome and fun to talk with. Lots of TVs A very very large beer, cider and wine selection. The did was amazing. We started with the meatballs in a cup and then I had the BLT and Shell had the Turkey Bacon Brie.
Love this place. Been coming here off and on since they opened. My son and I had some beers, pizza, and wings. My son wanted the BBQ chicken pizza and it was so delicious. They have a huge selection of beers on tap. The beers are very fresh tasting. Everything was super good. Great atmosphere and friendly people. I'm so glad we have a local beer pub like this in Pflugerville.
Growler Bar is a super chill spot in the growing town of Pflugerville, just outside Austin. I've visited a few times and always had a great experience. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. They're more than happy to find a beer that suites your taste from their great selection. I'm not from the area, so it was cool to see so many offerings from a brewery near my home in CA (The Bruery). I want to give them credit for having great good too. I've tried the meatball sliders, hot wings, and pretzel sticks. I enjoyed all 3 of these dishes and plan to try their pizza next time I'm in town. The outdoor seating area has been great. It has TVs with different programming on them. Overall, it's a great atmosphere to spend time in. Wish I had taken more photos. Thanks Growler team!
I've been to The Growler Bar a few times now. Last night my wife and I went for the bar's 10th anniversary. While there were a lot of people there the bar made sure to set up extra seating. Also despite how busy it was all our food came out way faster than I expected. We had the Spinach Arugula Salad, Potato Skins, Pretzel, and Meatball Sliders. All of the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. There are a few other bar's that might be closer to is but this one is by far my favorite. They have a system that keeps up to date on which beers they have on tap and how much of the barrel is left which you can check out on their website. I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for good food and good beer 🍺
Great selection of craft beer! Enjoyed their hot pretzels, wings, and of course, Pizza. Good place to gather with friends and family. This place has a lot of potential, if…. * treat everyone likes it’s their first visit, the beer selection is huge, be curious about your customers, ask them what they like and make recommendations. * Smile, and greet your customers! * Be positive If this place had more of a hometown/neighborhood pub feel, it will be even more successful. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed our visit, loved the food & beer. Stop by the folks outside & in and ask them for feedback. Oh, and thank people for coming by.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, is because the guy who was taking my order at the bar kept walking away in the middle of helping me. Aside from that, the atmosphere is pleasant. The food was delicious, and the beer was unique! I had the wings, and they might be expensive, but it's for a reason. They are juicy, fresh, and the skin is crispy on the outside, even with the sauce! The flavors were delicious, and I honestly could've ate more. I'll definitely be going back.
Had the mango lime drink, it was superb. A lot of great options for those who enjoys having a beer. The place has some non alcoholic options for those who do not drink or have some kind of restriction. Food was good, but the drinks were the main thing that got my attention.
This is a beer lover's heaven - rows and rows of taps on the wall. Patrons have to walk up to the bar and order their drinks any pay for them before heading to a vacant table. Or they can order from the table using the unique QR codes on each table. For you to quench your thirst for beer faster, it is best to head to and order from the bar. If you are undecided, the bartender can give you samples to sip and taste - just let them know which brew you plan on partaking - pilsen, draft, IPA, etc. for ease in remembering, each beer is assigned a number - how hard can that be. On this occasion, we were not able to try their food, heard their pizza is really good.
Good beer selection especially if you have a group with varying tastes. Certain food is good, but expensive. $32 for a 16" all meat pizza is a little ridiculous. If their food was amazing they could charge whatever they want but its just good. Pizza rolls are good but small. The biggest disappointment was the "Detroit style" pizza we ordered ($25). What we received was a burnt thin crust pizza shaped in a rectangle. The pepperoni's were in a line under the sauce making 90% of a pepperoni pizza just cheese. The food is just nowhere near the cost associated with it. Great place to hang out with folks and grab a drink, but there are better pizza places for a much lower cost.
I really like the growler bar, I have gone there quite a bit after work. The first time I went there it was great ! After going there more on a regular basis, the service has gone downhill, I have gone on 3 separate occasions where I have gotten my food to go and they give you the buzzer and you wait for it to buzz. Well it never goes off and after almost 40 minutes of waiting I go up and ask the counter and my food is just sitting in the container and they never tell me anything until I go up and ask. So the service could be a lot better. I like the taste of the food a lot !! The quantity for the price is kind of high though. They charge 10.00 for a small tiny piece of cheesecake. 20 for a 10 piece wings and 8.00 a beer. For the service and price of the food it makes me want to rate this place low. I really like it I just think it needs some tweaks and kinks to figure out. I will not completely give up on this place but will definitely keep looking for other places.
Just okay. I had been. Wanting to try this place for a while. We finally went last Tuesday for trivia. It was unclear as to if we were going to have a waiter /waitress, or if we were going to have to order at the counter. We ended up ordering at the bar, the beer was good, but the bartender came to ask us if we needed anything after we got our pizza and after we had already grabbed everything we needed. 🙄 it was kind of annoying for her to act like she was being helpful when we had already served ourselves. Not sure if I'll be back. Pizza was pretty good, but they made it wrong the first time it had to remake it for us.
Ordered the Italian sub. Side of ceaser, and a beer. With tip = $30. I personally liked the sandwich! I appreciated the fact it wasn’t skimped on the protein. And the bread was fresh. The biggest annoyances for me when on food adventures, is not having clean water and dish soap in your bucket that’s holding the table rags for cleaning.. the stickiness and the smell of it shows clearly!
Growler Bar has been our go-to pizza spot for years, and we’ve always loved sharing it with out-of-town guests. Unfortunately, we've had two recent delivery experiences (both on Sundays) where the pizzas were extremely overcooked—almost completely inedible. It’s disappointing given how much we’ve enjoyed their food in the past. When we called about it, we were told there was no manager available to speak with, which may be part of the issue. We really hope to see more consistency moving forward because we’d love to keep supporting this local favorite.
The first time we came here was when COVID started. The pizza was … eh. We chalked it up to driving 20 minutes before getting to eat and the overall COVID rush. After a couple years we decided to give it another try. The Growler is mediocre, at best. This time we had pretzels, wings, and chicken and waffles. The pretzels were hot and delicious, the cheese dip tasted like it came from a powder. The wings were decent. The chicken and waffles were awful. The food was inedible - burned waffles and pieces of tenders, and the chicken was reminiscent of H‑E‑B’s Natural Frozen Tenders. We won’t be going back to The Growler. Can’t say we didn’t try.
