My wife and I visited FIA in Philly, and this place surprised us in the best way. The atmosphere is quaint, warm, and beautifully decorated with artwork that makes the whole space feel like a cozy gallery. Our server, Joshua, was a standout—attentive, knowledgeable, and on point with both food and drink recommendations. And the food? Delicious and perfectly seasoned. We didn’t have to add anything to enhance the flavor. From appetizers to entrées, everything came out executed with real skill. Not one miss. My wife and I genuinely loved it. If you’re looking for a spot that nails service, vibe, and flavor, FIA is a must-try.

Loved everything about this place from the delicious play on flavors, the atmosphere, and our wonderful waiter 💕 FIA made me feel so special on my birthday! I’ll definitely be back to try more. I had the pink deviled eggs, Ox tails, and Mac 🔥 Everyone in my party loved their meal. Thank You FIA 🥳

Walking into Fia, you immediately sense a space that balances modern flair with subtle warmth. The décor leans into bold accents—pops of red seating, orange drapes, and a statement wall that proclaims “Don’t let them tame you.” It’s a dining room that encourages a little adventure, and the food absolutely follows suit. The meal began with small bites that set the tone. The empanadas arrived golden and perfectly crisp, perched over a swipe of creamy sauce that begged to be dragged through with each bite. Inside, the filling carried both depth and comfort, making it clear the kitchen respects the craft of appetizers. The short rib tacos were another highlight: tender meat, rich with slow-cooked flavor, tucked into crisp shells, finished with just enough onion and herbs to keep things fresh. Each bite landed between indulgence and balance, the kind of dish that vanishes before you even realize it. Then came the spectacle: a whole fried fish presented upright on a skewer, as though swimming mid-air. It’s the sort of dish that turns heads across the room. Beyond presentation, the execution was precise—skin crackling crisp, flesh moist and cleanly flavored. The accompaniments of seasoned rice, sautéed greens, and a bright dipping sauce played their part, letting the fish remain the star. It’s a dish that demands both a camera and a fork. For the carnivore, the lamb chops were grilled with a smoky char that gave way to tender, juicy interiors. Resting on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and dressed with a light jus, it’s a plate that satisfies on every level. The garnish of greens wasn’t just decorative—it added a peppery lift that balanced the richness of the lamb. Dessert didn’t disappoint. A warm cake arrived topped with a dollop of cinnamon-spiced butter that melted luxuriously into the crumb. Sweet but not cloying, it closed the meal with the kind of comfort that makes you lean back in your chair and smile. The service mirrored the food: attentive without intruding, leaving space for you to enjoy but never far if you needed guidance. Final verdict: Fia isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a performance. From dramatic presentations like the standing fish to thoughtfully composed small plates, it delivers both on flavor and experience. It’s the kind of spot where you can impress guests, celebrate, or simply remind yourself that dining out should feel like a little event.

FIA stands for Fantastic Food, Intricate Interior design and Amazing Atmosphere! We came for dinner on a Sunday night, greeted and sat immediately. The jalapeno cheddar cornbread was unique and yummy, the buffalo cauliflower was the BEST I've had, highly recommend the crab cake pops, and I had the chicken wing app as my entree along with the Mac n cheese. My date ordered the snapper which came deep fried and not one bite went untouched. Even the sides of greens and rice were delicious. The whiskey and averna cocktail was absolutely phenomenal and we also ordered the basil mojito and añejo old fashioned. Great music, easy to find, creatively fused menu, kind and accommodating staff and I can't wait to come back for brunch! Don't hesitate, just go! Wishing the best of luck to this new restaurant - I would rate it 100 stars out of 5!👌🏽

The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. From the time you walk in with the music and the decor, to the plating and flavors of the food. This place is an unbelievable experience. I will eat here every time I’m in town.

I’ve seen FIA’s Red Snapper all over social media and had to make my way there to try it! I’m pleased to say that it tastes just as great as it looks! The outside was nice and crispy while the inside was very succulent. Paired with the Crab Rice and Collard Greens, it did not disappoint at all. Outside of the food, the music was great. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice. He recommended that I try the “Basil Serenade” Mocktail and it was very good!

Sage was amazing! Better than flo off diner dash!!! Hostess with the mostess!! From seating us to taking our order, to checking with the cook on our questions!! She was the best server! Music selections was great! Portions were big, we had some leftovers. Loved it from start to finish. Art work amazing! We did restaurant week dinner and will be retuning for that crab pot pie!! Thank you Sage *chef kiss*!!!!

Fia is the kind of restaurant that makes you want to savor every bite and then come back the next night for more. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels upscale yet unpretentious. The menu is a love letter to afto-latino flavors with every dish crafted to let bold, smoky flavors shine through. Service is attentive without being overbearing, and the staff are passionate about the food and the experience.

I had a fabulous meal at FIA this week. Totally unexpected but so good. Chicken and Waffles. But it also had Carmel popcorn and jalapeño cotton candy and a maple cream dressing. Unbelievably good! The cotton candy just blew my mind… sweet and light, ethereal and then a playful slap of spice. I could get addicted to that alone. The waffles were light and flavorful. The chicken perfectly done with just the right amount of crust and juicy meat mixing textures in every bite. I want to stay an extra day just to try this again. And the staff was attentive and the people on either side of me were friendly and fun. I had a great time and I will come back. I also had a Blazing Bravado cocktail. Love the Bourbon.

Lamb chops, potatoes, and the watercress salad were so good! The empanada and deviled eggs are also a must! 🔥

Restaurant Ambiance is nice. The host (so welcoming), bartender (drinks so good), and person who brought out food and who cleared our table was soo pleasant and professional (wore gloves). Always checked on us on time. Food presentation was fancy. I hate to mention due to our overall experience but, it’s necessary. We ordered the Fia burger and asked for medium well. Had to send it back twice cause it was well done. The plate looked so good but, I was disappointed that the meat wasn’t right so we just canceled that request. I’m coming back to try that burger! Due to restaurant week, we thought oxtails would be sold out, Nope! Y’all were well prepared for the experience and we appreciate that! We’ll be back for sure.

Absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was quick and attentive without being intrusive, and it's comfortable inside (music volume isn't too loud). Chicken & waffles is a half chicken, fried and mostly deboned, with cake-like waffles and a maple cream sauce for dipping. Spouse kept commenting about how good his burger was. We finished with the pineapple creme brulee. Presentation was adorable (scooped out half pineapple with the creme inside, topped with caramelized sugar and amarena cherries. We will definitely be back soon!

The atmosphere was awesome! I had dinner with my sister and was there talking for 3 hrs. They never asked us to leave. The food was amazing!!! The pink lemonade was delicious!

It's a vibe! The service is top tier! They made me feel like family! We celebrated my girlfriends birthday there and they celebrated with us. I didn't even speak about the food yet! THE FOOD!!!!! So unique and delicious! I am a foodie and food speaks to me...this food said all the right things! Obviously, I will be back!!!!

I took my son here for his birthday and the food was a 10/10. I had the Red snapper and my son had chicken and waffles. The presentations are super cute and the customer service was great! I'll be back!❤️

Came here for Valentine’s Day weekend it’s attached to the Fairfield hotel and we had a blast. The atmosphere was great for a date night, and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It is on the pricier side, and smaller but the quality fit the cost mostly somethings had really small portion though like the lump crab lollipops. We kept it simple with a few appetizers and skipped the fancy drinks, and everything we ordered was really good. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely come back for another special occasion.

Ordered a variety of foods. The deviled egg, bean dip, and guac were great. I had the chicken and waffles, the chicken could've used more spices, however the waffles were amazing. Staff were attentive and polite.

I enjoyed the customer service, food, and drinks so much I went back 2 days in a roll!! The 1st day was with a group of friends we had never been there. The pot pie was to die for so delicious the best ever!! The red snapper dish was so aesthetically beautiful and every bite was savory full of flavor, the crab fried rice, the vegetables amazing! Tender and delicious! Oxtails, Calamari, And their burger was juicy too! I just had to come back the next day for dinner again and get that delicious Crab pot pie and the red snapper for dinner again with a friend! I will definitely be back again! 😋😋😋😋

Fia's restaurant was absolutely exquisite. The atmosphere was very calming and beautiful. I brought my daughter and my daughter had an enjoyable time. The server he was very friendly he explained everything thoroughly he came out with a smile. Upon arrival I saw him outside cleaning the windows which was a plus for me because it shows me that they take pride in their restaurant. Once I entered the ambiance took me beautiful pictures beautiful colors a nice pink setting I ordered plenty of things off of the menu My favorite was the red snapper. I enjoyed the martinis. My daughter enjoyed everything that we ate including the macaroni and cheese which is very cheesy. Dessert was added plus. The music was fun to listen to. There is a parking lot down the street that you can park in for $20 or less depending on how long you decide to stay. I have to write this company at five Stars but if I could give it more than a five stars I would thank you for a great experience!. Follow me on keeping us connected TikTok and Instagram for more reviews virtually. Also this restaurant does not sell pork which was a plus for us!

Thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at FIA! Service was exceptional, appetizers and dinner were absolutely amazing, and dessert was off the charts. Pineapple Creme brûlée!!! A hidden gem on 13th St. Very much looking forward to our next opportunity to dine at FIA! Highly recommend!!!

Food was great! I had the snapper and my wife had the lamb chops we also had calamari and Mac and cheese everything was good people complained about the portions were to small but I thought they were perfect

Nice location, food was very good, service was ok. One server trying to handle all of the tables. Server did their best but also would start taking orders at one table, then drift to the other table, then didn’t come back for a long time. Pretty odd. Food was brought out incrementally, which was great, otherwise we would have been waiting forever because food was coming out before the rest of the orders were able to be placed. I think this restaurant needs more servers and it could be great.

This visit to Fia has been scheduled for a while! Our group wanted to check it out after visiting the owners other establishment: Amina! This space is located in the Gayborhood next to the Marriott Fairfield Inn! The space is not large..but it has a cool vibe! We had the brunch menu..ordered deviled eggs; Grits; eggs & ox tails & the burger! The food was flavorful and had good portion sizes! The drinks were made well…a bit on the pricey side! Be aware there is a limited beer selection! Service was prompt and friendly! I would return to sample the dinner menu!

The food here was delicious and beautifully presented — definitely the highlight of the experience. However, the service felt a bit sub-par and could have been more attentive. The restaurant itself is very small inside, so seating feels a little tight. Many menu items are described as “spicy” or “spiced,” so keep that in mind when ordering and use your own discretion. One disappointment was that they didn’t have 151 rum available for one of their signature drinks, which was especially surprising on Valentine’s Day when it’s featured on the menu. We were also informed there’s a 90-minute seating limit due to reservations. Valet parking was crowded and costs $30 through the hotel, which is something to plan for. Overall, great food and presentation, but the service and logistics could be improved.

Our food was delicious our table ordered the crab Bisque pot pie, hand cut French fries, the burger, mac and cheese, and the empanadas. Only two of us received our meals together. Meanwhile the servers brought over five different plates that we did not order. Our friends said their burger and bisque was great but it took over 15 minutes to for two of our party to get their food after the first two people received theirs. I understand this restaurant is new so hopefully they will workout the kinks soon.

I came here for Restaurant week, and it was my first time. As we know, restaurant week menus aren't super extensive. We were warned almost immediately by our waiter that if we wanted drinks from the bar, we should order ASAP because the bar tender wasn't the fastest. He wasn't lying. Our drinks did take a considerably long time to get to us. But, given we were warned, I wasn't upset. It was my first ever expresso martini, and I guess it was good. I have nothing to compare it to, but if I knew it wouldn't take so long to come out, I possibly would have ordered a 2nd. For my appetizer, I had the bean dip with a tostones. This was actually very delicious even though it wasn't what I was expecting. I was torn between the branzino & chicken and waffles on the prefixed menu. I ended up picking the chicken and waffles for the sake of trying to be as full as possible. The dish had funfetti tres leches waffles, popcorn, maple milk syrup & jalapeno cotton candy. I was intrigued because this sounded all over the place... And it was a mess to be honest. The chicken had no taste. Like, zero taste. The waffles to my surprise weren't sweet at all and neither was the syrup. Lol the popcorn was just surrounding the chicken and waffles on the plate. It served no purpose. Apparently it was supposed to be caramel popcorn, but mine was just regular. The cotton candy was displayed as little chunks tossed in with the popcorn. To be completely honest, it was a culinary hot mess, can't lie. Not sure who approved that dish, but please consider going back to the drawing boards. I had the chocolate bread pudding for dessert. That was good. The staff did clear empty plates from the table promptly, but would do so by reaching across the table & you without excusing themselves. Would I return? Not to spend my own money.

I love Amina and I really wanted to love Fia as well, but the food quality disappointed. The shrimp and garlic appetizer was good. The oxtails were too fatty and the grits pairing didn’t complement the oxtails. The crab cakes needed more texture (crispiness on the outside). Overall, great service and atmosphere and definitely enjoyed the drinks. We’ll need from the menu, though, if we return.

S
Sydney Turner

The food was very salty. The restaurant was extremely loud, my partner and I couldn’t even hear each other speaking across the table. I ordered my burger medium and it came out well done. The meals are performative but the quality of the food does not match. Also…. my drinks were halfway full for $20.

D
D Brown

A very nice atmosphere. The waiter was very attentive to the issue of not being able to tolerate spicy items. However, we both ordered burgers. One medium and the other well done. The one I received was suppose to be well done but was medium. We switched burgers thinking I would get well down. Nope. I ordered the Fever kiss. Very strong even with the Prosecco. The fries were good. We also had the empanadas. Small not very favorable.

I'm not one to give reviews but I thought I would this time around. I give them 3 stars because the prices are absurd for the amount of food you get. If I am gonna pay over 200 for a meal. I would like to get my moneys worth at least. The jumbo lump crab cakes were extremely small, lacked flavor and you only get 3. It also didn't taste like real crab to me. My main course which was chicken and waffles was ok at best. You get damn near a whole plate of caramel popcorn mixed with dried up cotton candy. Three small waffles which were good but the chicken had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I mention my issues to the waiter. And the waiter comes back a short time later and tells me the owner refuses to adjust the bill. He or she didn't even bother to come to my table and discuss the matter with me. No sweat but that will be my last visit there for sure. Not worth the money.

L
Leona Lenon

The space is small. It was loud due to a large party. There was only 1 server available. The food came out in no order just random plates. I was with a party of 6 on total we had reservations at 730. Our orders were placed at 8pm. 2 guest did receive their snapper until after 930 and it was in a to go container. We all agreed that the macaroni and cheese was extremely oily. Had to drain it onto the bread plate. 4 lollipop wing SALTY. Calamari SALTY. Corn bread, lackluster. Street corn (is served like cream corn) VERY SWEET. Portion size doesn't match the price. All beverages (soda) FLAT.

K
Kelsey Spencer

Literally just paid $400+ for the most basic experience ever. My red snapper was extremely salty paired with weird collard mixed with corn and lima beans. Ask about all MP on menu. Beware that substitutions are actually the full price. You are paying for scenery, so ask about all charges. 20% tip is auto included so don’t expect quality service or borderline transparent service. Disgusted.

V
Victor Bermudez

I took my wife for her birthday. Atmosphere was very nice. Great location. Service was ok. I had to try the snapper and greens and could not get past the SALT! It was so much even in the greens! Fried the meat off the fish! I told the waiter to let the kitchen know but nothing was done. Sent an email that was never answered for an expensive night for tongue burn. Theres too many other options in that area to go back.

A
Annalysse Mason

The food was fine but the service was incredibly slow for how few people can fit in this restaurant. 2-3 servers should be able to manage that amount of tables easily. We waited 25 minutes for a salad and empanadas, then our entree came out less than 5 minutes after our appetizer. Drinks were room temperature. Would not recommend for the price

C
C'nya Barber

So the ambiance was beautiful, love the soft music and quiet tone. But I booked a reservation prior to today for 6 guest @7pm and it got rejected because of it being “busy”. A friend called the day of and they actually had something open for 7 “last minute” which was good. The waiter was great but it took a while for food mainly blaming it on the chefs it took a long time for apps and food. I personally didnt like the eggs, I ate one. They don’t have regular ranch only fluffed so I didn’t finish all the wings but they had a good sauce. And the salad was unique that was the best thing I had all night. Overall it was a 4/10 for me, I wouldn’t come back but it was a good experience.

E
Elena Ramos

Very disappointed, first time coming here and will be the last. Was offered the spicy guacamole and chips and there was no spice in the food that was advertised as spicy. Host was nice but kept coming to check in on us every 15 minutes which disrupted our dinner a lot of the time. The cherry on top was that we saw a rat run across the room to which we left immediately. Food was very overpriced.

J
Jake Sheckler

I just left this restaurant and would never recommend it to anybody ever. It being Sunday at 1:00 PM and as we were the ONLY two people at the bar, you’d think the stakes are quite low for good service… or ANY service. Instead we were greeted with mumbles, incorrect wine menus and a general malaise about our very presence as paying customers. The bartender needs a job where human interaction is not necessary. Would like to comment on the quality of the food, however we did not receive of the three times that we ordered — including a BREAD BASKET. Dine at your own risk. There are so many other options in any direction. Spend your money ANYWHERE else.

T
Tyrell Rosario

This place sucks service horrible it took 30 mins just to get drinks and we were the only people in the restaurant btw the food was over seasoned portion sizes small for the price the host/waiter was unprofessional when I mention the drinks the response was dismissive when I asked for the bathroom same thing the bathroom is next door in the hotel downstairs when I asked the host they gave me some vague direction on how to get to it I had to ask people in the hotel how to get there def won’t revisit

L
Latisha Lomax

I got the snapper and it came with rice and greens. I wasn’t impressed with the flavor of my oyster. They came on fire, which was cute. The snapper wasn’t seasoned well, the rice tasted like minute rice, and the greens were salty. The crab fried rice was nasty. It tasted like they just put lump crab on top of buttered minute rice. The cheesecake was nasty too. The best part was the French fries. My mom had deviled eggs that were just okay. Her oxtails were mainly fat. Her iced tea took about half an hour to come out. It arrived after our appetizers and only after I asked about it. The waiter was busy having a casual conversation about a show at another table. I understand being friendly, but that wasn’t the only table he had, and it was very unprofessional. Our experience was ridiculous. We won’t be back.

This was my birthday restaurant pick, I know who did it the ambience in the service the food totally underwhelming and it drained my social battery. We walked in. No one was at the host stand. We still there for a good five minutes before somebody came and said how can I help you then we get seated in a weird spot this is not very big in there. We asked to sit at the bar we sit at the bar no vibes no music just straight basketball on the screen no charisma at all I ordered the lollipop wings and crème brûlée, corn lollipop wings I’ll rate them 4.5 out of 10. The crème brûlée corn was very good. Only thing is it was a slither a sample even of crème brûlée corn for $14. Very small portions. I will not be coming back. I’m highly disappointed and I didn’t get any good pictures and to top it off I asked to go to the bathroom. Why is the bathroom in the Marriott down the steps in the basement on level two I said never mind. Good night. Got the bill and Left.

Asked for the drinks listed on the website and the server said they weren't available, so we waited 30 mins for a drink menu. Had to ask someone else to get a drink menu and another 15 minutes passed before our initial waitress said she would be back with our drink menu that never came. The table that was seated 30 minutes after us received their full meal and we received nothing. It was only 2 of us and we had ordered exactly what 3 of the ladies ordered at the later table. We spoke to someone who may have been the manager and told them we were disappointed with the lack of service we received and we left. We had the devilled eggs that are way better at home. The calamari was OK. The oxtails and grits appeared to be an appetizer and not a full meal. Honestly, they seemed unprepared and overwhelmed for the amount of people they were serving even when the crowd died down. We had reservations and was seated quickly, but that's when everything went downhill.

I am going to start off by saying I love supporting my black own businesses. The restaurant is a cute little place. I never ever had soul/comfort food come out to table in minutes. the lollipop wings were the best. as for the chicken and waffles, nice presentation, the chicken didn't taste like anything, it was dry, and I had to use the lollipop wing sauce. because they didn't me give syrup. the waffles were terrible ...seem like they weren't done. the snapper was salty and sweet. it was so weird. the veggies on the place seems as though they were cooked in vinegar. I never received a signature drink I ordered, but it was on my bill. The food is Not worth the price. I was a little upset with my bill because it was $200 for 2ppl but $30 of it was for a 20% tip . in which there was no fine print saying I will be charged 20% regardless of party size.i love tipping people who deserve it but what a waste of money.

0 Stars - First Time and Last Time!!! Our group arrived on time for the reservation - restaurant was completely empty and was told our table wasn't ready yet. Decided to order shots at the bar - teenage-looking bartender was in restroom and came out 20 minutes later in slow motion. Needed ginger ale for a non-drinker - not in stock and was poured Sprite from a 16oz soda. A Lemondrop was ordered once seated, came back with ice in it -An experienced bartender knows that a lemon drop is served UP. Asked Josh to make our drinks since he said he was an experienced bartender - was told NO because the bartender is not only the owner's son but his boss too - table sipped on water for the rest of the evening. Restroom - extremely dirty, no paper towels, and the smell of urine was unbelievable. Yes, it's attached to a hotel, but someone on your staff should be helping maintain the restroom. Your customers' comfortability comes first! Deviled eggs - appeared to be not fresh, the smell was way off. Red Snapper - extremely salty!!! Crab fried rice - not fried at all - more so heated up in microwave. Chicken & Waffles - waffles not done, chicken was extremely tiny (big enough for a toddler, too small for an adult). Cornbread - could have been great but no crust. Crabcake - appeared to be not fresh, tasted like it was sitting in fridge and reheated. Striped Bass - sent back, appeared to be not fresh, did not taste great at all - snapper was ordered in it's place - dish came out without rice and was told we had to pay extra for that since the bass was sent back. Lamb chops - was told they were pretty ok. One person became very ill and had to leave and other people became ill once home. Bill was $500 with tip automatically included. It's common practice for restaurants to disclose automatic gratuity verbiage at the bottom of their menu or in a highlighted box on the menu. Overall the experience for the group of women that patronized Fia was not great at all. As black women, we try to support black owned businesses but sometimes disappointment follows and this is definitely one of those cases. People should never leave a restaurant felling like they just got GOT for their money. The negative reviews from Fia and the owner's other restaurants all have a similar story. The positive reviews - not sure - maybe they were written by friends and family, who knows. But our group was let down and will not be going back. Do Better! Bye Felicia!

Met my cousin and family here for a birthday dinner. When we arrived we were informed that the reservations could not be located. We stepped to the bar as my cousin and I who made the reservation and received a call back confirming the reservation from Felicia waited for them to make calls and figure out what happened. While waiting We were asked a few questions in order to be helped. We were asked when did we call? We replied Sunday. We were told they are not open Sundays it must have been a private party. But over the bar was sign that read: Brunch Sat. & Sun. So that was a bit strange. We ended up having to relocate the dinner party to another location. Which required us to move into action to contact everyone, because gueats were arriving (this was a party of 12) thank goodness this was a Wed and not a weekend. Once we got to the new location I was very disappointed in the customer service, and how this entire situation was handled, how we were spoken to. After the inconvenience that we went through not even a glass of wine was offered to the birthday girl. Nothing to say we apologize for our mistake thank you for relocating your party to one of our locations.
