Recently had a date night with my wife at this restaurant and it was an amazing experience. Top notch service as soon as we arrived at the entrance of the Four Seasons. I definitely recommend valet parking (around $45) as it is downtown and parking may be difficult to find. Someone walked us to the elevator and we enjoyed a view of the city on the way to the 60th floor! When the doors opened we were welcomed and enjoyed taking pictures with the beautiful holiday decorations. Had to wait about 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated but was not disappointed because we had window seats and enjoyed a view of the city while dining. Sam attended to us and was excellent from start to finish! He gave great recommendations, was quick, efficient, and great personality! Food was very good but a bit pricy for the portion size. Overall great experience especially if you want a restaurant that has a beautiful ambiance.
We celebrated our anniversary here and the night was phenomenal from start to finish. The service is fantastic. Not only our waiter Stephen but also all the other staff that help with waters, clearing plates, delivering dishes. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They all have great suggestions on the menus as well. It’s pricey to eat here but the food, service, and view make it all worth it. If you are looking for somewhere to celebrate something, I highly recommend Jean-George’s! We enjoyed everything we ate - not a single bad bite. My duck was probably the best thing if we had to pick one - my husband ordered the wagyu beef which was also delicious but even he said he wished he had the duck!
Amazing view ! E we went there to celebrate a special day in our life, we picked the 6 course menu and it didn’t disappoint, food was delicious, and we also got a “treat” cart that arrived to our table with so many more chocolates and candies to try, we left dinner with a copy of our menu and a breakfast cake that we enjoyed the next morning. Shot out to our waiter Steven, his service was amazing person and was very attentive, he made sure we enjoyed our meal, and took extra effort to make our evening memorable, thank you Steve!
Went here for a birthday dinner. We got a table with a beautiful city view as we had requested. The food was excellently seasoned and cooked. We had the corn truffle agnolotti and the roast romanesco with white bean puree for appetizers. Each mouthful was a delight! We then went on to the roast duck and roast lamp chop for dinner and they were truly sensational. We had the litchi raspberry Bellini and the fennel margarita for drinks. Towards the end of the meal, the staff got us a cute complimentary raspberry chocolate mousse cake for the birthday. Staff was very kind and patient and explained all the dishes and flavors to us in detail. We had the last reservation for the day but we never felt rushed. All in all, would highly recommend.
Nothing like having a birthday dinner on top of the city. The walk down of the steps out to the open floor is quite pleasing to the eye, also overlooking the city. We started the nite off with 6 plate course we had. Caviar which I had for the first time, I thought it was wonderful, not over powering at all. Very elegant taste to it. With the caviar we had some pasta that had delicious honey nut squash in the middle with a pumpkin seed purée. For the main we had the duck breast and wagyu steak. U only get 2 pieces of each, the duck, oh my that duck. So so good. I’m actually gonna go back myself just to have it again. It’s a nice breast with just the rite amount of fat on it to make it spectacular. The steak was high up there as well, For dessert, we had a passion fruit sorbet flower , a strawberry tart ring that has 10 different types of strawberries and pistachios, On the tart, also I received a little mini cake for my BD. The services was on point and the staff makes sure you fell welcomed. I would definitely be here again, can’t wait. In the end for 2 spent about $500 tip included.
Recently had dinner with one of my best friends at Jean-Georges Philadelphia, and it was truly an experience. The restaurant is located at the top of the Four Seasons in the Comcast Center, so the views of the city are absolutely stunning, especially during the evening. The space itself has such a beautiful yet intriguing ambiance. Every dish I tried was delicious, but the standout for me was definitely the wagyu. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We both ended the night with espresso martini, which was the perfect night cap. They were made just the way I like them. The service was also flawless. Everyone was attentive, warm, and made the whole evening feel special. All in all, it was the perfect place to celebrate and one of my top dining experiences I’ve had in Philly.
At first, I wasn’t too sure about the food because the portions looked really small, so I thought it might lack flavor. But what an experience! Every single bite was absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to worth every penny. And Stephen, our server, was amazing! The way he talked and explained everything made the experience even better.
This occasion, which celebrated both my fiancée's birthday and our anniversary, proved to be an exceptional experience. The service was outstanding, the entertainment superb, and the music beautiful, all contributing to a romantic evening set against the Philadelphia skyline. It was truly a perfect experience, and we intend to designate this as our preferred destination for future special occasions.
Loved this restaurant. The food was delicious (hamachi appetizer, sea bass entree and apple desert were my faves). Service was outstanding and the sunset views were really beautiful too!
I had the pleasure of dining at Jean-Georges on a Thursday evening for the final night of my four week stay in Philadelphia. With a reservation, we were seated at a window-side table offering a stunning view of the skyline, which set the tone for a perfect evening. Our server, Maxwell, was absolutely amazing. He was warm, attentive, and professional throughout the night. Not to mention, he had a remarkably pleasant voice that added to the overall calm and elegant ambiance of the meal. We started with the yellowfin tuna ribbons and crab salad - both beautifully plated and bursting with fresh flavor. For mains, we enjoyed the duck breast and black bass, and they were cooked to perfection. The duck was accompanied by a roasted cabbage steak, which added a bold and flavorful kick to the dish. The Chardonnay and champagne were both great as well. While everything was excellent, the desserts truly stole the show. I highly recommend the Strawberry Garden and the Black Forest. They were both creative, flavorful, and memorable endings to a phenomenal meal. The view, service, food, and atmosphere were all exceptional. Highly recommend!
We had an absolutely phenomenal meal here from start to finish. They very kindly fit us in last minute which was amazing and gave us a gorgeous table with a phenomenal view. We had the vegetable and the meat/seafood tasting menu and both were delicious—maybe one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Cocktails and mocktails were terrific and service was stellar—shout out to Chris who was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved it!
I had an amazing time at Jean-Georges! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The view was absolutely breathtaking — the perfect backdrop to a beautiful evening. The service was top-tier: attentive, professional, and thoughtful without being overbearing. Every detail was handled with care, and it truly made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy fine dining with stunning ambiance. I’ll definitely be returning!
Everything is perfect, we got a very nice bottle of French champagne and two deserts , the service was excellent, not rushing us out, being very professional and polite. I’m definitely coming back for the whole dinner experience. . We came back for the whole dining experience and everything was amazing , keep up the good work guys
An unforgettable evening from start to finish! Every single course was absolutely incredible—culinary perfection. The tuna noodles were fresh and flavorful, the scallops perfect, and the corn dumplings (not the official name but what we called them)... Quite literally out of this world. The lamb and duck were cooked to perfection, and dessert was the cherry on top of a flawless meal. Evgenia, our server, was a total star. She made us feel like we were the only two people in the entire restaurant—warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our night unforgettable. Christopher delivered each dish with care and pride (he truly delivered it with such passion), and the hostess greeted us with such warmth that we felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in. We were lucky enough to be seated at a special table overlooking the city just as the sun set—romantic, dreamy, and picture-perfect. The ambiance was spot-on: elegant without being stuffy, with just the right energy. The manager that evening, Ben (I believe), was also wonderful—personable and clearly passionate about creating a great guest experience. We’re still talking about it and can’t wait to return.
Cozy place, 5stars it’s not enough, the personal of wine was Extremely excellent and very attentive. Makes sure you enjoy the moments, the atmosphere and the food music was just at point, paradise, I’m not getting paid or anything but I would really appreciate your likes and support here 🤗. I went there for my birthday too , I ENJOYED EVERY SINGLE MOMENT, we ordered Steak it’s not for fully belly depends on how much you eat but 🫠 and you can have everything Breakfast, lunch, dinner, ect…and DESSERT are amazing serve.
From the moment my partner and I stepped out of the car the service was impeccable. Everyone we encountered had a smile and seemed to truly enjoy their work. The ambiance was relaxing and inviting, the decor and view of the city was breathtaking. The food and drinks were fresh and delicious! And don’t get me started on dessert…the passionfruit drizzle alone should be bottled and sold!!! I totally understand why Jean-Georges is called the most romantic restaurant in the city. It’s a one of a kind, luxury experience. I’m already planning my next visit!!!!
I went here last night for my birthday for the first time and the experience I had was unforgettable. We got there early to sit at the bar, and got offered a table early which was lovely. All the staff top to bottom went above and beyond, always smiling and providing excellent service. The atmosphere, from the elevator ride to the seating was breathtaking. Every element of the food was well balanced and cooked to perfection. I love trying out new food as I cook myself. This menu opened up my palette, combining new and familiar flavors. The elegant plating was well proportioned. Lastly, our waiter went above and beyond to offer to take pictures of me and my fiancé as we saw a rainbow forming behind us. An experience to remember!
From the moment we stepped into Jean-Georges, we knew we were in for something special—but what unfolded was truly beyond words. I brought my boyfriend here for a birthday dinner— which I hoped would be memorable, and to my surprise, the entire team delivered an experience that was nothing short of spectacular…. (I’m not joking) Every element of our evening was executed with precision and care. The host welcomed us with warmth, the servers and food runners moved with grace and professionalism, and the sommelier guided us through a pairing that elevated each course to a new dimension of flavor. The menu—thoughtfully curated and exquisitely presented—was a culinary masterpiece. I was pleasantly surprised to see our names printed on the menus in addition to birthday notes— I had made a request before the night to have our names on the dinner table; however, to be HAPPY to accommodate and go beyond expectations….. just wow. So in addition to this amazing internal atmosphere, the view of the city from the dining room was simply breathtaking,… adding another layer of elegance to an already impeccable night. Every detail, from ambiance to service to flavor, was orchestrated with intention and heart. It was not just dinner—it was an experience we will never forget (we left happy souls). To the entire Jean-Georges team and the chef: thank you for crafting an evening that will live in our memories forever. It may have been once in a lifetime, but its impact will last a lifetime. Cheers to excellence and artistry. With heartfelt thanks, Marcella
Girls night out. We already had dinner so we ordered. A pizza and cocktails. The server was phenomenonal. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the recommendation of menu and cocktails. The view of the city on the 60th floor is amazing with the smell of the fresh flowers. The atmosphere is electric. I would recommend you to get reservations for this amazing place. Thanks for an great Birthday experience.
We are from NYC and We had dinner at Jean-Georges in Philadelphia last night, and it was an amazing experience! The warm welcome and smooth service made our evening special. A big thank you to our server, Sarah, who took great care of us. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommended! We will definitely come back
A beautiful restaurant on the 60th floor of a Philadelphia skyscraper, with a Michelin-starred chef. The views are stunning, the service is excellent, and the food is sublime. It's far from cheap but we were celebrating an anniversary and wanted a treat. John Georges delivered in every way. Highly recommended.
A truly high-end restaurant with an absolutely incredible view of Philadelphia. I highly recommend the lobster — it’s exceptional. I will definitely be back.
We had a 2:00 PM reservation and were seated immediately—no hassle, just straight to the elevator and up we went. From the moment we arrived, Leila welcomed us with a warm smile and kept our table spotless throughout. But the real star of the show was our server, Brigid. Friendly, sharp, and always one step ahead, Brigid made our experience unforgettable. You can tell she cares—about her guests, about the restaurant, about the details. She goes above and beyond, and it shows. On to the food: we tried the Strawberry Burrata on a recommendation from the table next to us—phenomenal. Easily one of the best appetizers I’ve had in ages. Then came the Truffle and Fontina Cheese Pizza. I eat a lot of pizza, and this shot straight to the top of my list. The dough was fresh and balanced, the flavors rich but not overwhelming. Funny enough, I wasn’t planning on ordering pizza—but Brigid gave me the nudge I needed, and I’m glad I listened. Perfect portion, super satisfying, and not too heavy. We also had the chicken summer salad with macadamia nuts—bright, fresh, and perfectly dressed. The service was seamless—drinks topped off without asking, zero pressure to rush, and a genuinely relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. You don’t see that much anymore. If you go, ask for Brigid. Let her work her magic. You won’t regret it.
The meal I ate here was the best food I have ever eaten. The service was impeccable and the view was breathtaking. It is expensive, but worth it for the experience and the delicious food. I am so glad I chose to celebrate my anniversary here.
My partner and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and we had a great experience. You can go to the bar without reservations but there might be a wait in line. The food was excellent and the service was good, Bridget did a wonderful job as our server. The portions are what you expect for the elevated dining experience but great. The drinks were well made and they had a variety to choose from. Overall we were happy with our dinner and the staff made sure to wish us happy anniversary and also add that message to our dessert. Would definitely recommend the formal dining experience at JG if you want something less casual.
Best views in Philadelphia by far!!! The elevator ride up is pretty epic. The space is so luxurious. We used to go in the mornings and enjoy a coffee while getting some work done. The food is really good too but it’s all about the views. Just wow!!! One hundred percent with a visit as long as you aren’t afraid of heights
We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at Jean-Georges Philadelphia, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped into the breathtaking space on the 59th floor of the Comcast Center, we knew this dinner would be special — but it exceeded every expectation we had. The panoramic views of the city were stunning, setting a magical tone for the evening. The staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel genuinely celebrated, with thoughtful touches that turned a dinner into a memory. Every course was a masterpiece — both in presentation and flavor. The tasting menu was perfectly curated, with each dish showcasing the creativity and precision Jean-Georges is known for. The highlight? Watching my wife’s face light up when they surprised her with a beautiful birthday dessert — elegantly plated and absolutely delicious. It’s rare to find a place where the ambiance, service, and cuisine all align so seamlessly. If you’re looking to mark a special occasion with elegance, artistry, and heart — this is the place. Jean-Georges Philadelphia isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. We’ll cherish this night for years to come.
DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE BROTHERLY LOVE CITY! The ambiance is truly exceptional. The establishment is immaculately clean, extremely well-maintained, and the view is absolutely stunning. Their staff are exceedingly professional and courteous. The cuisine and beverages are of the highest quality. Highly recommended.
I loved this restaurant. The atmosphere, view, food, and staff were all amazing. Michael was so nice and provided top notch service. When I wanted an off the menu drink he gave suggestions. If you are looking for a luxury dining experience with the best view of the city….. look no further.
I wasko taken to my birthday dinner here and they made it so special! We had the "from the earth" menu and they did not skimp. The complementary bread was amazing as well.
As great as the food was, the service was even better. Everything we ate was delicious and came with a level of service I have not really seen at a restaurant before. The view was beautiful with the tables facing the glass. Would definitely recommend the duck, steak, and the crab dumplings. Their drinks were pretty good, but could be better.
Amazing experience. We celebrated our Anniversary at Jean-Georges and it was a special night. Highlights are the food, service, and ambience. I can't wait to come back for another special occasion. Totally worth it for the money spent! The tasting menu started with a sampling of breads that were awesome. Then the trio plate of small bites to follow - including caviar. All the dishes were tasty and elegantly presented. The champagne cart looked tempting but we opted to try out different cocktails and wine and we were enjoying the drinks very much. The dining experience overall were quite private and a great date-night scene. We got to experience the skyline when it was transition from day to night over the 3 hour dining time. It was spectacular!
If you're seeking the pinnacle of fine dining with breathtaking views, Jean-Georges is a must-visit. Perched 59 floors above the city, this restaurant offers an unparalleled experience in the state of Pennsylvania. The setting is nothing short of spectacular, with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing a panoramic view of Philadelphia that will leave you awestruck. The food and cocktails are just as impressive as the view. Every dish and drink is crafted with meticulous care and creativity. Their Herb Martini is a standout, with a perfect balance of flavors, while the Octopus Salad is a delightful mix of textures and tastes. Each bite and sip feels like a journey into culinary artistry. The menu evolves with the seasons, ensuring that each visit feels unique and thoughtfully curated. Jean-Georges offers more than just a meal—it provides an escape from the ordinary. It's a place to relax, indulge, and take in the beauty of the city from a vantage point like no other. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself, Jean-Georges delivers an unforgettable experience.
I wish I could give this review 6 stars. Our waiter, Joey, was divine; the food is just perfect, and the cocktails are creative and delicious. The lunch menu is great for an easy Saturday afternoon.
Very bisy Friday evening. Fellow guest so dressed up! Guess it's an occasion for location. Four Seasons guest have priority. Bars are first-come, first-serve. Jean Georges open dinner only, smaller bar. Menu cover Skyhigh. Had Rioja and mocktail for drink. Nice. Riedel glass and all. Bernard for water also exquisite. Food visually stunning. Great job. Love plates as well but silverware bit worn. Taste for tartar almost perfect. Serving soy ginger sauce nice presentation. Ginger kick bit strong for my preference. Cheesesteak rolls for Philly works. Sauce ok. Burrata most controversial. Usually tomato but still sweet strawberry. Vinegarish didn't diffuse as well, perhaps too much flavor. At least arugula with vinegar on one side, strawberry sweet on the other end. Burrata and charred bread super nice though. Definitely view overwhelmingly stunning. Most tables face panorama. Four hanging lamps for far end, water cascades walking down the stairs toward bar and centerpiece flower all superb. Food fits the bill. No complaint. Prices deservingly high for experience, cordial servers and staffs.
My best friend and I went for her birthday. We traveled from DE and Google maps sends you to 19th and chestnut. We called to get directions and the woman who answered was oblivious to her location. We ended up being 15 min late for our reservation driving around in circles. We got the 6 course tasting menu and it was amazing. We didn't care for the drink menu so we ordered rum punch and that was amazing as well. The view, music and overall atmosphere was fabulous and it was great to see how diverse the patrons were. Each course was explained in detail and our server Evgenia was funny and observant and took care of our every need. We were beyond full when we left. I would definitely come back for the new seasonal menu. It was definitely an experience worth the time and money.
Had a wonderful evening up in the stars for a celebratory dinner. The service was wonderful from the start and the atmosphere is beautiful. The crab dumplings, lamb, and salmon were all fantastic; paired with a delicious champagne. Ended the night with a complimentary dessert for the occasion. I would recommend this dining experience to everyone, it is worth it.
Everything started well: the place cannot be more stunning that it is. Unfortunately for me it was raining and the was no view. I was taken care of as soon as I arrive. Waited for about 10 mints since I arrive 45 mints earlier to my reservation, they gave me water, I ordered a wine and they also gave me popcorn. Later someone came to sit me down. I was a party of me, myself and I. I ordered 3 items that you will be able to see in the receipt. Apparently there was a miscommunication with the first person who brought me the wine. I didn’t notice he had brought something different and after tasting the wine just agreed to it because it was delicious. After getting the check, we realized the mistake and Alessandro came over to the table, one of the managers, he apologized and took the wine glass off the check. That is what I would expect of a high end place, if they hadn’t taken care of it, I would have probably left with a bad taste. Not because of the price, you don’t come to this places thinking is gonna be a $50 dollar meal, but because in cases like this one, there’s no other solution to make sure the client is 100% satisfied. Will also recommend Sarah and Jonathan for their great service. I took some of the food to go since I don’t eat a lot in one seating and the risotto was a little bigger than what I thought an appetizer would be. My favorite for sure was the sea bass. Probably the best I’ve had in a long time. I would definitely come back and bring my friends next time I’m in Philly.
Spectacular place for an intimate birthday dinner. Got an absolutely stunning 360 panoramic views over Philly on the 60th floor. We went for the set menu of the “land & sea” it was absolutely amazing w umami in every bite (~280$ and everyone at the table must have the same selection to do the set menu) The staff’s hospitality was great. I did order the concord grape margarita and that was mid and overpriced so I do suggest skipping the drinks.
Most perfect place to celebrate professional/personal/relationship milestones. Jaw dropping, beyond epic! The view, any time of day or night is absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant is the highest restaurant in Philadelphia and towers buildings from down below. The decor, service, every detail was perfection. Even though pricey, it's well worth an experience that will be remembered for a lifetime. The team that served us: Sarah Ahmad and Christopher Marcus were an extraordinary team. They shared with us fascinating details about the restaurant, owner, french cuisine, etc. They were incredibly friendly and every dish was an experience. We decided to share 2 sets of tastings: from the land and sea (meat & fish) / from the earth (vegetarian). There was so much creativity that went into the taste, narrative and aesthetics of every dish.
This place is one of the few amazing fine dining options available in the city of Philadelphia. I came here for my birthday this past summer while staying at the hotel, and tried the "Land and Sea" tasting menu for dinner, at a table seated right at the edge of the restaurant overlooking Philadelphia. Let me tell you - this restaurant is worth it for the the view, and the service alone. You really feel as if you're dining in the clouds, and being able to take in all of Philadelphia from such a high perch is exhilarating, just like the insane glass elevator ride to the top (don't take this if you're afraid of heights, or at least turn your back and close your eyes!). The service is of a high caliber. I wouldn't call it perfect, but the employees are trying very hard to satisfy the patrons and be as attentive as possible without hovering or interfering. The explanations given by the server with each dish that is brought to the table for the tasting menu are polite, helpful and amusing. I really enjoyed this touch. The actual tasting menu is a delicate, fanciful array of whimsical creations focusing primarily on high-end quality ingredients rather than on unique interpretations of familiar concepts. I think Jean Georges' desire to go this route is correct; it ends up occupying its own niche between crazy, inventive culinary destinations and the stolid, traditional high-end dining experiences fetishizing the sourcing of the ingredients. Very expensive, but a singular, unique, Philadelphia dining experience.
An experience well worth the $$$. Seats that overlook the city, and if you’re lucky they’ll have live entertainment too. We did the land and sea tasting menu and every single dish was unique and exemplary. More importantly, the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the food and service and really made us feel taken care of. We came in at 5 and left around 8. There was no rush, an emphasis on reveling in the experience. Each course was timed just right. The drinks were a hit or miss. I really enjoyed the olive oil martini. We will be back!
The Four Seasons hotel was beautiful. The lobby was full of roses and orchids. The servers were amazing. Unfortunately the weather was rainy so the clouds were blocking the view. But we were able to see some of the city when our meal was over. Service was around 2-3 hours.
Vegetarian perspective First, I was thrilled they had a vegetarian tasting menu. Some courses were good, some were flavorless or not exciting. I love exploring vegan food and was just hoping to really be blown away by creative vegetarian options here. While some were creative in presentation, I was really upset that the flavor and bigger creativity was lacking in some. Compared to other vegan places I've been. For this price and this name, I was expecting each dish to be memorable. The views were incredible and the service was probably the most memorable part. She was great! Plus all the small touches. Birthday dessert, to-go bag with a breakfast pastry, exchanging cocktails, etc.
Spectacular view. Impeccable service. Cocktails devine. Everyone was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. This restaurant was actually a bucket list item but the food failed to live up to the hype. We had the 5th anniversary tasting menu. Food that was supposed to be served hot was cold, the lobster tough, we could barely cut through it or completely inedible which was the squab. The best part of the meal was the dessert! The tasting menu was overpriced! I think the restaurant is worth a try but maybe when it's a regular menu.
Incredible views from the top floor! If you’re not a big fan of Glass elevator, ask the staff/ reception, for the Service elevator and someone from their staff will escort up, and then down after dinner! The food was not as good as I expected, not bad but just not as sophisticated as I thought it would be but we still had a great time. The dessert was delicious, able to make our own ice cream sandwich with cookies etc. Def a must for incredible views, reserving a must and do it a little before sunset so you can enjoy the views during the day and then at night! The Staff was really nice!
The service was fantastic, our server Yusuf was very professional and attentive. Started off with drinks, pretty good, a little on the sweet side, but the clear ice is a definite plus. Next, the appetizers fell flat, as we ordered the octopus a la plancha and kale salad. The kale salad was fine, but heavy handed on the lemon. Octopus was a little overcooked, so the flavor was mostly char and some sea with the texture of Haribo gummy. The saving grace of the dish was the romesco sauce and the bright red cabbage slaw served on the side. Continuing that theme of good sauces, the sea bass had a nice dill mint butter sauce with perfect potatoes. In addition, the smoked chili ragu on the rigatoni and meatballs was fantastic, the cook on the rigatoni was just right and the sauce had a great body, really elevating the dish. All in all, the ambiance of the venue really sells the place as well as the service. The menu feels a bit dated in style, but that can be expected of a lounge-style bar and restaurant. The price point is high, so it doesn’t seem to be a place I’ll come back to often, but the view alone could sell me a $25 cocktail on a special evening.
For starters, you’re paying for the ambiance and the experience of dining at the top of the Comcast Tower. The panoramic views of Philadelphia are stunning, and the atmosphere is elegant without feeling stuffy. The service is truly excellent, attentive, polished, and welcoming from start to finish. As for the tasting menu, the food was… okay. I expected more, especially given the price point. I’ve had better-tasting meals in the city at a lower cost. Many of the dishes arrived room temperature or cold, and a few lacked the depth and bursts of flavor I’d anticipated. The caviar, while fine, was milder than I prefer—though that’s admittedly personal taste. Another point worth noting is that the tasting menu took almost four hours to complete, despite being only 5–7 courses. While I appreciate a relaxed pace, this felt overly drawn out. Overall, it was a beautiful experience in a breathtaking setting with impeccable service, but the food didn’t quite match the level of the views or the price tag.
Jean Georges-- I love the view and ambiance. You are actually visiting for the element of beauty in the architecture of the building along with the floral arrangements. The food is always disappointing. I have visited maybe 10 times total and I can agree that each time with a bill never less than $500 yet the food was not at all impressive. Lobster was overcooked more poached and tasteless. The salmon was overly decorated with a sauce that overpowers the salmon itself. The waygu steak was perfect cut off beef yet was served ice cold. There was a broccolini topping for the steak I really enjoyed when I asked to purchase a side the staff said there was "not enough" to serve a side as they only make enough for each order. My bill was roughly 500 not including my 20% tip-- to sum it all up we left Jean - George's dissatisfied and went to another restaurant for dinner afterward.
First course was really good, the main “wagu” was bizarre with a very strange mince tasting topping and a misplaced salad and sauce. Overall very disappointed given the price - this is not what I had hoped it would be.
