Food and drinks were good and service as well. Food was fresh and the views were fantastic! We used the gabizo for a proposal ( marriage) and it was perfect. Only complaint was one of the sun shades were broken, requiring a couple of us to wear sun glasses in the restaurant until the sun moved. They offered to move us, but then we wouldn't have a family style table, or the same views, otherwise, great place 👍

Great view of Pismo. The calamari was fresh and well seasoned and came with 3 dipping sauces. The fish and shrimp tacos were also fresh and delicious. Recommend the sangria!

Great location with lots of windows overlooking the ocean (although on our visit it was a foggy night so there wasn't much to see.) The staff was pleasant and efficient, our waitress was helpful with suggestions. Calamari app was tender and delicious with three sauces. We split the molcajete which has some of everything: shrimp, steak, nopales, chicken, chorizo, in a tasty sauce. Instead of a salad we ordered the pickled vegetables which our waitress said was spicy - she was right - even for my wife and I who can both handle heat. Prices were about what you'd expect in a tourist town, but the food and service were worth it.

Made a reservation to see the sunset over a nice meal. The service was amazing - thank you Hailey. The food was perfect! I got the green posole and surf and turf entree. The view from my table was breathtaking. 10/10 experience on my trip passing through!

The waiter and food were excellent. He recommended the shredded beef birria tacos, sopes, and lobster mac for dinner entrees. He was not wrong. Amazing Mexican food and freshly made tortillas on the side.

Today's night out was spectacular. The atmosphere, the restaurant, the food, EVERYTHING was 💯. A cheery on top for me was my dish; Choppino which was top tier. I will be back soon enough.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. We visited from the east coast and stayed at the hotel on the property. The views were breathtaking the food was delicious. The presentation staff ambiance was 5 star. Will definitely be returning when visiting Cali. The ceviche was my favorite great app for the table. Also great place to celebrate a birthday. My son loved it they made his birthday special added candles to his slice of cake great dessert options.

This is one of the most highly recommended restaurants I’ve been to in the U.S. — reasonable prices, excellent service, and delicious food with generous portions. Their complimentary appetizer is freshly baked warm corn tortillas served with four different kinds of sauces — a delightful surprise compared to the typical tortilla chips you get at most Mexican restaurants. The clam chowder is an absolute must-try. It’s the best I’ve ever had — rich in both seafood flavor and creaminess. Every spoonful is packed with a variety of seafood, not just clams but also squid and others. The only slight downside was that the soup wasn’t hot enough when served, but other than that, it was nearly flawless. (4.8/5) The fish and chips, on the other hand, are skippable. The fried fish was quite standard and not particularly special. (3/5) Their pasta was amazing. The sauce and penne were already excellent on their own, but the seafood on top was definitely not an afterthought. Both the shrimp and fish were plentiful and perfectly cooked — tender and flavorful without being overdone. (5/5) Another great touch was the water they served. Instead of the usual lemon slices, they use cucumber slices, which made it taste refreshingly clean. Unlike some restaurants where the water can be slimy or have a weird taste, theirs was genuinely enjoyable. The view over there is also astonishing!

Had my first dinner visit 5-25-25 and it was great. The staff are all very nice and helpful. They make sure and check in on you so you always have everything you need. The food and drinks hit the spot. The views of the ocean are awesome. I highly recommend you check them out. I’ll be back for sure. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and a walkway that wraps around the building with nice views of the ocean.

I had an amazing experience at Ventana Grill in California. The view of the Pacific Ocean is simply breathtaking, making lunch even more special. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had reserved a table on a Friday night and were seated right away with a great view. The wait staff were attentive and the margaritas were very good. The food was fine, but my wife felt her fish was a bit bland and my chili relleno’s cheese inside wasn’t melted. The cornmeal crusted calamari were quite good as were the sauces, although my wife found corn meal vs traditional batter a bit weird. If I came back I’d definitely order something else.

I wanted to try a restaurant near walking distance from our inn and stumbled upon Ventana grill. Reservations recommended as it can get quite busy near sunset. We waited about an hour for the room with views of the ocean. Food was decent but not extraordinary. We ordered the burger (lettuce wrapped). It was tiny. We also ordered the moqueta with shrimp and steak. It was tasty. The chicken Chopped salad was okay. The enchiladas was alright and normal fare. Food overall was 3 stars and ambience is 4.

Decent place right by the Pismo beach. Great location and seating. Food was okay overall. Salsa was great but too much on saltier side. Chicken and fish were a bit overcooked. Coconut halibut gravy didn't go well with it. Drinks were good but took unusually much longer to arrive. Food and drinks arrived together which was a bit disappointing. The restaurant has an amazing location with a beautiful ocean view, honestly, that’s the best part of the experience. But when it comes to the food, everything was just average. Nothing bad, but nothing special either. Flavors were decent, but overall not memorable. We ordered: Appetizer: Calamari, crispy but pretty standard. Main dishes: Enchiladas & Steak Salad; both were okay, but I expected a bit more considering the location. Service: Our waiter, Phill, was warm, friendly, and very attentive. We genuinely liked him. The only small downside was that he worked a little too fast, I was still holding my fork when he reached in to take my plate, which surprised me for a second. Other than that, he was great. Hostess experience: This part was the most disappointing. She told us we’d wait about 10 minutes, which was fine. But when our turn came, instead of coming to us like she did for other guests, she just called our name quietly from behind a wall while standing far away, expecting us to notice and walk to her. It felt like one of the cheapest and least professional ways a hostess could handle a table call. Interior: The view is stunning, but the inside of the restaurant feels very average and doesn’t match the beauty of the surroundings. Overall: Beautiful location, average food, hit-or-miss service. Worth it for the view, but not necessarily for the food.
