Wooly’s in Pismo Beach is a great spot. The food is fresh and well-made, prices are reasonable, and the place is clean inside and out. It has a casual, laid-back vibe, and the outdoor seating is perfect if you want to enjoy your meal with a view of the beach. Service was smooth, and everything came out just right. If you're in the area and looking for a relaxed place to eat with a great view, Wooly’s is an easy A+.

You'll be able to watch surfers and the waves from this restaurant and bar located right on the wharf overlooking the ocean. They had a variety of beers on tap and really good clam chowder in a bread bowl and your dogs can join you on the deck. I highly recommend trying it out.

Wooly’s is in a great location with the view of the ocean. Food was great and it was dog-friendly. I especially enjoyed the Shrimp and chips. The shrimp were huge and tasted delicious. We will definitely come back!

I recently had another great visit to Wooly's in Pismo Beach, and it absolutely delivered on everything you’d want from a classic beachside seafood spot. From the moment you walk up, the laid-back coastal vibe sets the tone. It’s casual, welcoming, and perfectly situated for grabbing a bite after spending time by the ocean. The ordering process was smooth and efficient, even during a busy stretch, and the staff was upbeat and friendly without feeling rushed. The food was the real standout. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and everything was cooked just right—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. The fish and chips had a light, golden batter that wasn’t greasy, and the fries were hot and perfectly salted. The tacos were packed with flavor and topped with fresh ingredients that added great texture and balance. Portions were generous, especially for the price, and you definitely leave feeling satisfied. What I really appreciated was the consistency in quality. Every item we ordered was well-prepared and came out quickly. It’s clear they’ve dialed in their menu and know what they’re doing. Whether you’re craving something fried and indulgent or something grilled and fresh, there’s a solid variety to choose from. Overall, Wooly’s is one of those reliable go-to spots in Pismo Beach that captures the easygoing spirit of the area. Great seafood, friendly service, fair prices, and a relaxed beach atmosphere—it’s hard to ask for more. I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I’m in town.

We were at the pier during lunch time and saw this place. Found a table easily and placed the order. They have counter service here. Fish and chips were ok. The fries were the better of the two. Onion rings were nice and crunchy. Chicken Sandwich was good. Cauliflower bites were also surprisingly good. Service was friendly. Overall a good option if you are at the pier.

Wooly's is a nice restaurant right by the Pismo Pier with a beautiful view of the beach. Overall, it is pretty clean and spacious inside. I wish there were some sort of pasta options or a better seafood selection but overall my steamed clams and bowl of clam chowder were pretty solid. I enjoyed the clam chowders and would definitely go back to get just that. The steamed clams were alright but took forever to take out of the shells and were hard to have with the white wine sauce. The staff was outgoing and provided top tier service.

Wooly’s at Pismo Beach has a great location right in front of the pier, with a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The food, however, is fairly average. At around $20 for a fish and chips, you pretty much get what you pay for. If you’re looking for better food quality, I’d recommend Splash Café just around the corner instead.

Cannot beat the old California pierrside ambiance! Drinks are the quality and price you'd expect when hanging out with the tourists. Food is solid, though you can improve your experience by learning what and how to order. Example; great skillet nachos! But avoid adding steak for $7.50 and receiving about 1.25 ounces of meat.

Wooly’s was recommended on my way down to Southern Cali and the views did not disappoint. The view from the patio is gorgeous , ocean waves and surfers doing their thing. I even saw some dolphins and whales spouts from my table. I ordered a Paloma with casa amigos tequila and it was strong in a good way :) it don’t need pineapple though, Grapefruit is just fine. The fish tacos were filling, however, coming from a true Mexican the tortillas could have been warmed up a little more so that it wouldn’t be so soft. The description of the tacos is deceiving though because I couldn’t find mango or lemon flavor in there at all. Service was excellent, I was greeted and guided by a polite young lady on what to do when I was ready to order. You order at the counter, self seat, and wait for the buzzer to buzz. I took one star off because they don’t wipe down the tables after a guest is done eating. I was grossed out that there was pieces of somebody else’s food on most tables including the one I decided to sit at. The plates are left on the table until a staff member gets to picking it up, meanwhile numerous pigeons are desperately picking at what they can, their little legs on table and everything. This practice is very unsanitary . I understand birds are everywhere but the tables should be wiped down since pigeons are known for carrying diseases. I don’t enjoy sharing a table with pigeon microbes. Hopefully they start sanitizing their tables after each guest!

I had the Asian fish tacos and they weren't bad, just not as much flavor as I was expecting based on the description. The clam chowder was also just ok in my opinion. The atmosphere and location are really incredible though and the staff was all friendly.

Visit to Pismo Beach wanted to grab a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere, outdoor seating, good food and drinks. Would definitely visit again. Upon arrival you order food then grab a seat while you wait for your pager to go off and pick up food from service window. Quick service. Drinks ordered from bar.

The location is excellent. I had the Baja tacos and they were OK. When you pay just like other places, you’re asked to leave a tip. Basically you’re serving yourself the entire time except when your food is delivered to the table. I didn’t realize I was supposed to get napkins inside when I paid along with utensils so when my food came to the table, I didn’t have any. The waiter told me I needed to get them inside. It would’ve been nice if he would’ve offered to get them for me since I was by myself, my purse was settled, and I was afraid the birds would eat my food while I was away. If he would’ve offered, I may have left a tip. Yes birds and dogs are allowed.

On our way back from San Francisco, we decided to make a stop at Wooly’s in Pismo Beach, and it was a delightful detour. Located right on the Broadwalk, Wooly’s offers stunning views of the beach and pier, making it a prime spot for outdoor dining. The restaurant is quite popular, so expect long lines and a bit of a wait to secure a table. You place your order first, receive a number, and then find a table—simple and efficient. Despite the crowd, the staff managed to bring our food promptly and with a smile. We tried a few dishes: • Sourdough Bread Bowl Clam Chowder: While the chowder was creamy, it leaned a bit too starchy for our liking. • Caesar Salad: Fresh and crisp but overly salty. • Steamed Mussels: The highlight of our meal! Cooked with white wine and garlic, the mussels were flavorful and satisfying. What really made the visit memorable was the setting. Dining outdoors with the sunshine on the beach, even with a touch of wind, was unbeatable. There’s something special about enjoying a meal with the sound of waves and the sea breeze around you. While the food wasn’t exceptional, the overall experience was worth it. Wooly’s is an excellent spot to enjoy the beach vibe, making it a worthwhile stop for those traveling along the coast.

Ordered sweet potato fries, carnitas tacos and seasonal hot chocolate cocktail. Fries were really good! Tacos were on the smaller side. The restaurant was packed during sunset. You order food at the counter and the server gets it to your table. Drinks can be ordered at the bar. With drinks the cost would go up to 30-50 per person.

The grilled chicken club was equally impressive, with juicy chicken breast, crispy bacon, avocado, and melted cheddar cheese all held together by a soft bun. The waffle fries were to die for, crispy and served hot! If you're looking for a casual dining experience with a side of stunning ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere, look no further than Wooly's. Just be prepared to wait a bit since you have to order at the counter, they give you a number and grab a seat - it's first come, first served! Don't forget to bring your pup along - they're welcome! *Missing star – the service at the counter could’ve moved faster, no sense of urgency from the staff.
