Service was great... foood was very goood authentic pakistani..... if you are from Lahore you will love it .... We ordered everything nehari which was awesome great taste. 10/10 Chicken tikka masla which was really gooood. 10/10 Palak panneeer which was also very delicious 8/10 Chicken kharai very authentic gooood Punjabi taste 10/10 Haleem it was 3/10 they tried.... We ordered garlic nan which were 100/100 Plain nan were really goooooood same 100/100 We also had their chaiiiii which was awesomeeee and gulabbbbb jamunnnn very goooood.
So yummy! We tried the Chicken Karahi, Nihaari, Naan, and Gajar ka halwa. Everything was delicious. The staff were also very polite. Definitely recommend!
My first time dining here and the service and manager were really super attentive! Nice seating area too! I loved and enjoyed the food especially my favorite was the Chicken Biryani & the Mutton Karahi.
We ordered a mix of kabobs, karahi, nihari and biryani and everything was full of flavor and came out piping hot. The chicken tikka was juicy and well-spiced, the karahi had a great kick without being too oily, and the chicken biryani was fragrant and satisfying. Naans were fresh and soft, perfect for scooping up the gravy. The kebabs were also a nice touch. Portions were generous and service was quick and polite. Definitely a solid spot for Pakistani comfort food, would come back! Definitely one of the better Pakistani food options in OC
Coaching is a excellent brand new restaurant. They cook fresh food daily. Taste is amazing. Sherri served us great job. Chicken Karachi , kabobs, dal, haleem and nans are all exceptional. Tea, samosa and kheer super tasty.
One of the most authentic (if not the most) Pakistani restaurants you will find in SoCal! Must try, and everything was amazing.
Omg the food was INSANE!! We got both the mutton and chicken karhais for dine in and ended up taking the chicken briyani and veal briyani to go(whatever, don’t judge). Let me tell you, that veal briyani is LEGIT. Colachi, this Pakistani is so glad you’re here!! There’s even something a little karachi-ish about how the naan tastes. I’m so glad we came here, now please open one in the IE soon!! Also, got haleem and nihari to go. Will try those soon.
One of the best mutton karahi I’ve ever had! The meat was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and packed with rich, authentic flavors. The gravy was thick, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with spices. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. If you’re a fan of mutton karahi, this place is a must-visit — truly unforgettable!

They served delicious Karahi and provided excellent customer service. While our order was being prepared, the owner thoughtfully brought a small snack for my one-year-old, followed shortly by some refreshing drinks for us. Their warm hospitality made us feel like we were among old friends from Karachi. We’ll definitely be returning soon.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited Colachi Restaurant as a group of five and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ali and Ismail bhai, who made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the BBQ beef behari kabab, their house special Nihari, and garlic naan—everything was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. For dessert, the kheer and gulab jamun were incredibly tasty and a perfect ending to the meal. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended! 👍🍽️
This is probably the best Pakistani food I've had outside of Pakistan. The biryani is amazing: fragrant and flavorful. Their nihari is also delicious, along with the naan, and samosas. I will note that we came once and the food was less good but it might have been an off day in the kitchen. Every other time it's been fantastic. Delicious, authentic Pakistani food. And the owners are always around and very kind!
The food was absolutely amazing! The kabobs, biryani, nehari, and halwa puri were all incredibly delicious and authentic. Every dish had rich flavor and tasted just like true traditional cooking. I really enjoyed everything — highly recommended for anyone craving real desi food!
This might be my favorite restaurant in California. Wife and I went to the brunch buffet and I'm astonished at the variety and quality of items they had for only $25 per person. Nihari, biryani, karahi, haleem all tasted like homemade. They had live bbq outside on the charcoal grill. Absolutely phenomenal. The tandoori chicken, Malai boti, seekh kabob were all smacking. Of course needed the halwa puri which was exceptional especially since the puris were made to order. Finished it off with some delicious kheer for dessert. My biggest regret is not living in SoCal so I could visit this joint every week. I would drive down from the bay just for this.
We ordered Nihari, Mutton Karahi, Chicken tikka masala, Puri, Chana masala, and Naan. The food was delicious. Our favorite was mutton Karahi and Nihari out of all of them. The portions for the food is good enough for 3 people to eat from it and surprisingly the puri size was pretty big too! We will definitely come back to it, love knowing there is an authentic Pakistani food close by
Being Pakistani myself and having lived in places like Houston and NYC - home to some of the best Pakistani food in America - finding truly authentic Pakistani cuisine in Southern California has always been a challenge. So when this place opened, we made the drive to finally try it... and I swear, this is the most authentic Pakistani food in all of SoCal. FINALLY — a 100% authentic Pakistani restaurant has arrived here. The owners and staff are absolutely wonderful, and the service is outstanding. The Peshawari Mutton Karahi is out of this world phenomenal, the Nihari is hands-down the best I've had in California, and the Chicken Tikka was perfect. Their prices are surprisingly competitive for the area, which makes the experience even better. We are genuinely so excited that an amazing, truly Pakistani restaurant has opened here. We've waited so long for something this good -- and this place exceeded every expectation. Highly, highly recommend!

We recently dined at this restaurant and our group was thoroughly impressed. Every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor - Loved the chicken Karahi & beef Nihari. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we walked in. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the menu and the overall guest experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and had a wonderful experience overall. We ordered the daal, gola kabab, and chicken malai boti—everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. To our surprise, they also served complimentary kheer at the end, which was a lovely touch and tasted amazing. The owner and staff were very attentive, checking in to make sure everything was good and that we had everything we needed. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome. The only downside was that the floor was quite sticky, which took away a bit from the otherwise great atmosphere. Hopefully, that’s something they can improve on. Other than that, it was a great dining experience, and I’d definitely recommend it for the food and service!
🔥 Colachi Halal Restaurant did not disappoint for NYE dinner! Beef Bahri and chicken Mali boti were ON POINT 🤤. Chicken tikka masala and nihari were just mid 😬, same with the Naan 😐. BUT huge shoutout to owner Ishmael, super nice dude! 🤝 Definitely coming back for that Bahri and good vibes. 4/5 stars

The owner checked in multiple times during our visit and wanted our honest opinion and I didn’t feel comfortable giving this feedback in person. The seating was comfortable, and with no other customers present, our food arrived quickly. However, most of the BBQ items were unavailable. Although we were told the Chicken Tikka was available, it was not prepared as BBQ, which suggests it may not have been available either. The Chicken Biryani was acceptable, but the chicken itself did not seem fully cooked. The Peshawari karhai, unfortunately, did not meet expectations in terms of flavor or quality. Overall, while the service was attentive and the environment comfortable, the food availability and execution need improvement for a better dining experience.

All the items I ordered were highly spicy and the taste was not as expected as suggested by frnds and family. I ordered a good amt of food for $100 but neither was salad served with the gravies nor was Raita served with the Biryani. The biriyani meat was too large pieces and missed flavour.

Updated Review (after owner's response): Yes, Biryani, and Nihari were not ordered yesterday but I also visited this restaurant on (or around) Nov 10th, 2025 (see the cc receipt uploaded in the photos. I urge the owner the refute this). On previous visit I ordered, chicken karahi, nihari, biryani, gola kabab, masala fries and 2 cup of tea. The food quality sucked that day too except for chicken karahi (which I graciously mentioned in my original review). I wanted to give this restaurant another chance but since the owner kind of implied that I am not being truthful, the fact is the owner is being not truthful himself. The complaint was made while I was in the restaurant and his reply was "جیسا گوشت پیچھے سے آتا ہے ہم ووہی استمعال کرتے ہیں " which contradicts his claim they always use quality ingredients. Bottom line is, they don't care what ingredients they use. And yes, we ate whatever we could. We were not looking for a free meal nor for any discounts. Even during my last visit the elderly gentleman (probably the other owner) asked for the quality of food and I told him politely that it was not up to the standard. The service is slow, food was put on table without plates, napkins and silverware. In any event, I wish this place good luck. I just won't not be visiting again!! p.s. the mutton pulao that was purchased to-go also taste horrible. The food quality is below average. If you must go to this place stick with chicken karahi only Their mutton is poor quality and they don't even bother to clean the meat. Half of the mutton karahi was inedible due to excessive fatty pieces that were cooked along with meat. Nehari and biryani was another disappointment. There are far better desi food places in OC than this joint.
