Ordered Easter Dinner during the Pandemic. The line for pick up was terribly long but well worth the wait. There was one guy bringing all the food out. He worked his butt off and it was appreciated. Great food
Ian was so helpful and kind helping me.
I have eaten there numerous times and each time has been a great experience with appetizers & entrees being delicious. The staff is always attentive and offering food options they feel you will enjoy.
Great spot! Delicious food and good taste! Attention to detail. People are very friendly and very helpful. Very clean. They are very good at attending large groups of people. Dishes are very big (even the small ones)
Family style italian restaurant that offered small portions of you rather your own portion rather then the family style portions. Food was great and alot of specials to choose from. Highly recommended....service was right on point as well. We will definitely be back as we have been coming here for over 5 years..sal the owner is super friendly which always adds to the experience and his partner joe which is the chef is always consistantly pushing great high quality meals.
Great food, big portions, and good value! Specials are great too be sure to try them. I'm happy to have a place like this so close to home.
My husband ordered the fried calamari as an appetizerand asked for rings only. Mario made it happen. It was delicous. Our meals were delicous as well. We will definetly be back
My girlfriend was there for a baby shower couldn't stop talking about how good the food was and how friendly the staff is I definitely give this place 5 stars ✨️ 0
Unbelievable food and drinks. Amazing staff with a wonderful atmosphere! Great for any occasion! BEST MEATBALLS (must have!!) you will not be disappointed!!
The food was delicious. We had 15 people there on April 21 to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday. The staff was awesome and the price was very good considering all the food we ordered. Will definitely be back
Went there Jul 1, 17. Valet parking is required. Decor is upscale. Upon entering, noticed the A/C set lower than my liking. Most of the sleeveless women were cold. Waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating. Food served in large portions 2-3 people per dish -- so sharing is recommended. The quality and presentation of the meals were excellent.
This place right here is amazing. Sal & the crew make the best dishes & have the best service.
Went here for an anniversary party. The food was very good and service was also spot on. My only complaint would be about my cocktail. My favorite cocktail is a "Sidecar" which is vintage drink that was invented around the end of WWI. I wouldn't expect most bartenders to know what the ingredients are or how to serve it, but that information is right at the fingertips with a quick internet search. The ingredients seemed to be right as the drink tasted fine, the issue was with how the drink was served. It's supposed to be shaken with ice then strained (served straight up) into a cocktail glass. Well I'm sure most people would feel the same as me that it really doesn't matter what kind of glass is used because that doesn't affect the drink. What does immensely affect the drink is serving it on the rocks, which they did, instead of straight up. Overall, since I was there mainly to celebrate with friends and eat more than I was to drink, the experience was very pleasant and the food was really good. If I was there just to have that one cocktail though I might have to knock a couple stars off this review.
UNBELIEVABLE ! Sal the owner welcomes you and makes you feel like family. The food is hot and delicious. Our waiter Ian is amazing and quite talented as well. Definitely a must try for dinner or a special event.
Food is excellent!!!! Our waiter Giuseppe is awesome. We came in with the family. All nine of us and boy oh boy what an amazing treat. From scallops to clams and oysters and shrimp and calamari. Next a platter of the drag eat cold and hot antipasto for appetizers. Our entrees included linguine in white clam sauce. Next a platter of baked seafood surrounding a t-bone steak on a bed of buttery broccoli rabe. We all died and went to heaven. What a wonderful celebration of family enjoying our perfect Sunday evening.
This place never disappoints ! Food is phenomenal and portions are great and bar drinks are always done right ! Staff is always so friendly and owner Sal is a great guy and Host !!
My family and I had my father's memorial dinner here.... Sal was wonderful, he took care of everything! The atmosphere, the service, and the food were great! I will be back when I visit NY! THANK YOU to EVERYONE who made this seamless, and especially for your respect, kindness, and compassion in a truly difficult time.
The worker named Andreas was a gentleman! Way beyond his years. Food was excellent as well.
Food was excellent and portions big enough to share with 2-3 people. Waiter Antonio was awesome and Sal gave our table a round of shots. Well worth money and great experience over all.
First time trying LaFamiglia, food is delicious. Service was spot on. Plates are served family style and they say they feed 2-3. We were a party of 4, ordered 2 proteins 1 pasta. We were all able to eat, have seconds and brought home a doggie bag. Never felt rushed, very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Sal and staff were excellent accommodating our party for my daughter's baptism. Our waiter, Jose, was one of the best we've ever had- anywhere. It was really excellent.
We were there to celebrate an 80th birthday party. The staff was awesome, as was the food! Highly recommend!
The food at LaFamiglia is always delicious. The service is great too.
Had my dad's 80th birthday celebration this past Saturday. So glad I chose La Famiglia. The sides to the outside tent were installed right before the party. The food AND service were exceptional. Thanks to Sal & Joe for everything!!!
Just came back from an Engagement party and all the choices served were delicious. I had the veal and I wanted to lick the plate. Unfortunately some drama near the end when a waiter was fired and he went crazy in the parking lot, throwing metal benches. Three police cars responded. I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to friends. Thank you for a great party.
Pedro was a fantastic helpful waiter. He helped us plan our foods and everything was superb, from a tortellini dish to shrimp parmigiana and chicken oregatana. Superb, even the hot bread was fab!!!! So happy for a great meal in New York.
Wonderful family style restaurant. I’ve enjoyed several excellent meals here and had one private function in the party room. Service was very good and the food was delicious. I once asked if they would contribute to feed the homeless and their generosity was very much appreciated by the men in the Glen Cove soup kitchen.
My first time at La Famiglia in Plainview was for a private party where I met the owner. Food and service was impeccable. Owner Sal and staff are super friendly and very welcoming. I have since had food catered for an event and went back to have dinner with my husband and once again the food and our waiter Angelo were amazing. They make you feel like family. We have never had a bad dish. I am returning soon with a large group we can't wait! I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had our wedding in the private room . It was fabulous ! Food was amazing and the staff was the best even our guests are still talking about the excellent service and great food . Sal Was great and so accommodating. Coukdnt have been happier .
La Famiglia is worth a visit. Food was nice, service is attentive and quick, and you'll enjoy your stay here. I hope to be back one of these days. Come here hungry, because even the small plates are very filling. La Famiglia seems busy and popular as well.
Embarking on a culinary journey from Sicily to northern Italy, our evening at your restaurant was nothing short of enchanting. The rigatoni with broccoli, Rabe, garlic, and crumbled sausage transported us to the heart of Sicily, a culinary masterpiece. Salvatore, the owner, not only displayed remarkable culinary knowledge but also infused the evening with genuine warmth. His personal touch made the experience extraordinary. Tommy, our waiter, was not only attentive but a fountain of knowledge, ensuring our every need was met. Nick, the bus boy, quietly attended to every detail, demonstrating a commitment to excellence. Julia, the skilled bartender, deserves accolades for her expertise in crafting delightful tequila drinks. While the decor might benefit from an update, it pales in comparison to the exceptional experience provided by the entire team. Salvatore’s dedication and friendly demeanor, combined with the staff’s meticulous attention, created a dining experience we’ll fondly remember. Your establishment is more than a restaurant; it’s a haven for those seeking not just exquisite cuisine but a true culinary journey. We would gladly traverse the distance from California again to savor the magic you’ve cultivated. Grazie mille for an unforgettable evening!
It was our first time eating there and we enjoyed the entire experience tremendously. The lobster and shrimp ravioli was the best I had ever eaten. Everything was delicious! Great service, excellent food and atmosphere. Family and couple sized portions only. Well worth your time!
Never a bad meal. The mussels in white sauce are the best around. We often order the steak bomb. It's a gianormous platter that comes with a T-bone steak, sausage and peppers, broccolirabe, breaded shrimp, and roasted potatoes. It's enough for 4 people. They also make awesome drinks and the servers are great!
I have never eaten here before; I got a gift card for my boss who loves this restaurant. The person that assisted me was very kind and helpful. I hope to return one day and try the food.
My sister in law hosted her weeding rehearsal dinner at this location (my wife and I hosted at the Smithtown La Famiglia). We arrived slightly early, and the server preparing the tables/bar immediately started asking what we'd like. Excellent service throughout the evening. Food was top notch for a 30 person party. Everything came out correct and tasty. They also catered to my son's horrid diary allergy. 5 stars accross the board. Sauce always reminds me of my grandmothers.
Awesome food and drink. The staff and servers are professional and excellent! I’ll be back to try additional dishes - they all looked and tasted amazing. La Famiglia must be on your Italian food restaurants to visit this holiday season with the whole family.
Salvatore and the team at La Famiglia did a wonderful job catering to me and my family, they fit us in for a party when the party room was booked and rearranged things around so the main floor could accommodate everyone staff was really friendly and very did a great job, good pricing 100% recommend!!
We had a late Easter dinner for the family, all of the food was fantastic, they accommodated a few food allergies like champs, everyone was very happy from appetizers to dessert. The service was top notch as well. Mario and Ian were terrific.
We just had a 100th birthday party for my mom. Everything, and I mean everything, was terrific. Ian, Sal, Sergio, all first class and easy to deal with. The food was outstanding as well as the service. We had a wonderful time. If you love Italian food and want a great event, La Famiglia is where you should go.
Had my 80th birthday party today at this restaurant, it was great, the service and food was top notch👍
Food was excellent. The chicken marino was tender and full of flavor. The white sauce is great. The Ceasars salad is consistent. The bruchetta slices were very thick. Should have been 1/2 the thickness for a real bruchetta. Over all very good.
This is a FANTASTIC choice for a family friendly Italian eatery if you want to enjoy your meal without being rushed. Our server Ian was extremely attentive and made our 12 person get together most enjoyable. The rigatoni and meatballs, seafood special, baked sole, and calamari were all excellent. Service, prices, and atmosphere can’t be beat.
Went here for an birthday party over the weekend. I really enjoyed the food. Service was great as well. I was very impressed with the appetizers when they came out. They had fried calamari, stuffed mushrooms, muscles, baked claims and a cold antipasto platter.
Never disappoints. Back to school menus are awesome!
After other restaurants said "sorry we're full" we went to La Famiglia. Sal greeted us right away and showed us to our table. A great meal followed. Would definitely come again. Shout out to Sal, Jose, and Ian. Great experience!
The memorial luncheon we hosted for my mother at La Famiglia on Thursday of this week would not have been successful without the excellent service of your staff. We collectively (meaning all of the guests) found the constant attention of great support as we celebrated her life. You have assembled a n impressive group of professionals, and everyone noticed. Congratulations, and continued success. Thank you Sal
Me and my husband love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the workers are so friendly and kind they make you feel like family here. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had wedding reception of 30 people. Service was excellent. Ian was very helpful, Taking pictures, bringing food and drinks . Food was also excellent. Looking to go back soon for dinner
What a great place for great food! Stopped by with my family for a quick bite and the food was Delicious! The servers were so kind and attentive. Will definitely be back!
I had relatives in from Florida. We were a table of 13 including a 3 year old. The staff was amazing food fantastic service top notch and pricing very reasonable. Very very impressed and thankful.
We had our daughter’s baby shower at the Plainview location on Sunday November 2nd and it was a 10 out of 10! The food was amazing everybody was raving about it and we have to say most of all in the host maître d’ Ian was beyond words spectacular! He made everything easy and just really knew how to put everything in the right place keep the party moving and make it the awesome event it was. If you’re looking for a location to have a party event etc. or just a good meal without a doubt I can recommend this place especially if Ian is involved in anyway.
Early dunch/lupper was a great pleasure. My party of 4 arrived at 3PM and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves and our waiter, Ian, catered to us and accommodated all of our very numerous requests. However, the cooking was the STAR! Family style dishes were served that were spectacularly flavorful and plentiful for our group. We ordered 2 dishes off of the menu and a special seafood dish along with a salad and one appetizer. We had plenty to take away after our meal. Delicious: check! Plentiful: check! Attentive service:check! Return soon: Of course!
Tommy was our waiter. Hes a good guy.. very personable .food is a 11 out of 10.
Exceptional service. Very friendly staff and kind to my kids. Great tasting food with large portions. Will definitely return!
Excellent, delicious, wonderful! We joined friends for an early dinner with the bonus of half price drinks. Service was top notch and the food was terrific. We've recommended it to our family who live locally, and we'll return whenever we visit again.
Ten of us were celebrating a Birthday at La Famiglia. Everything from the Calamari, Shrimp, mussels, pasta were delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server Ian was outstanding, friendly, attentive and knew everything about the menu. Certainly worth a visit and we will be back.
Had a private event here last week — The price per person was reasonable and the food was good. I enjoyed how pretty and modern the private room was. The room had its own bathroom, which was really convenient for guests at the event. Con: The tables requested pitchers of soda/water/soft drinks just so the waiters did not need to come back every two seconds and they said no. I just felt bad watching them go back and forth. I would have an event here again!
Nice family atmosphere, great tasting Italian dishes, appetizers and desserts, not to mention very attentive servers. Been here many times and they never fail to deliver quality food, service and ambiance. This is what you expect when you go out to dinner! Sorry for the half eaten food pictures…. We were all so so hungry lol!
Great food! These guys know how it's done when it comes to Italian cuisine. I got started off with some house bread and a glass of Pino Noir and then got a half order of Meatballs with Ricotta and Penne Alfredo with a chicken cutlet. I requested half orders of each and received more than I could eat so I left with extra. Will be back again for sure!
Excellent food and service! From appetizers to dessert we greatly appreciated the lunch experience over Memorial Day weekend. The staff was fast, helpful and friendly and the food well done. Would absolutely recommend the Seafood Pasta and Baked ziti, as well as their long list of deserts. Overall very happy with our first time to La Famiglia and would recommend to any family for lunch or dinner.
My mom and sister recently hosted my bridal shower at La Famiglia in their newly renovated party room and it was amazing! The room had a separate entrance and restroom. The staff, specifically Sal and Ian were very helpful, accommodating, attentive, and communicative with my family while they planned the party. The food was also wonderful ! We did a plated lunch/dinner with appetizers, pasta course, salad course, and choice of entrees. Additionally their sangrias were delicious and they offered other drinks too. Lastly, they offered cappuccinos and other drinks as well. Thank you for helping to make my day very special!!
Just had our Engagement Celebration dinner here at Plainview location and everything was perfect! Groom's father is a chef and said the food was "the best"- prepared the same way he would do it! We were not prepared for the large portions though and wish our waiter gave us more of a heads up as we were ordering way too much!
A great restaurant with amazing friendly service. Incredible daily specials. Spaghetti Bolognese and Gnocchi are our favorites. Servings are FAMILY Style so there's always food left to take home. They have a separate party room which is great for Private Functions. Valet parking is available in the front of the restaurant.
Good place for dinner. Large size plate of pasta gives a lot of quantity. Me and my boy friend could eat only half of it. Mid rage in terms of money. Not very expensive..But very good service and great staff.. Stuffed mushroom was very good..
Food is great. Not the best. It's much better than other most places. Service is outstanding. Atmosphere is great. Prices are reasonable. Can be a bit of a wait depending of the day of the week and time. I do find the food to be a tad better at this location compared to the others. As expected with restaurants that have multiple locations.
Other than the TERRIBLE WAITRESS we had, everything was great. Sal at the front was so welcoming.. the bus boys made sure that the table was never left with empty plates.. and food was DELISHHH! My only qualm was that our waitress couldn't be bothered by us.. when we placed our order she was rushing us.. made up a story that the kitchen was busy and we had to put in our WHOLE order at once.. thats NEWS TO ME.. ALSO, usually when we go, the server serves our food to us.. she plopped everything on the table and walked away.. very unpersonable!!! and to top of the night, after we ate our whole meal (which was so good, btw) we overhear her tell the table next to us that there were specials.. BUMMER! There were a few things she mentioned that we would have DEFINITELY orderd.. Sooooooo, When you go.. make sure to request one of the guys to wait on you, if you want the best experience
Everyone was super amazing! I met up with my family of 7 here. The waiters were super patient with the finicky and indecisive lot. The food was very good, the fish dish was amazing. Thank you to the very nice host that greeted me and waited with me while my family arrived.
Came in for dinner on a Thursday at 7:30pm, the place was pretty empty and we were seated right away. They had a party going on in another room and they seemed to only have one waiter who was spread thin. Although the waiter was very nice when he came over to take our order we only wanted to order the appetizers and then later order the meal. He told us he would prefer to put the entire order in due to the party(which is not true because I was here once before and they forced us to do the same thing). We did not mind doing this but we were not even given a minute to look over the menu and talk about it, the waiter stood there and just kept making suggestions(which is nice) and we had to decide on the spot. To start we order the Italian eggrolls, mozzarella sticks, and fried zucchini. All of these were absolutely delicious and if I had to choose the fried zucchini would definitely be the winner. For dinner we order the large sizes of the penne vodka and the chicken sorretino. The portions were a nice size and fed 4 people, we even had some leftovers. The penne was just ok and I probably would not order it again. The chicken was very delicious and I would definitely recommend it. For dessert we had an Italian cheesecake which I normally do not care for but this one was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Follow on IG @food_surfin
Food and service were both very good. The pasta was cooked just right and they have pretty good desserts as well. The place can use a bit of a facelift inside. Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant.
A good suburban eatery with a lively dining atmosphere. Food was better than okay but preparation short cuts diminished mouth feel and flavors. Prices are fair. Service was attentive and crisp. Wine selections were adequate.
Delicious, family-style Italian fare served by great staff.
Great food and dining experience. I’ve been meaning to try this place out after hearing some recommendations. This place didn’t disappoint especially the meatballs. Can’t wait to try the ziti at the next visit!
La Famiglia in Plainview serves truly outstanding food—everything from the appetizers to the main course was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The portions were generous, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in what they do, and the food alone would have me coming back. However, I was disappointed with the service at the front of the house. The hostess, Sal, was surprisingly rude and unwelcoming. From the moment we walked in, his attitude made us feel like we were more of a bother than valued guests. It set an unfortunate tone for what could have otherwise been a perfect dining experience. I genuinely hope this was a one-off situation, because the restaurant has so much going for it. With food this good, a warmer welcome would really make all the difference
Entrees were good but ordered 1 and 1/2 orders of cold antipasto it had 4 olives and very little meat or cheese. Ripoff at $35. Waiter kept asking if we needed soda refills and glasses were full of ice so yes we did. Then we were hit with bill, not free refills, Party of 6 should have offered us carafes of soda. Spending $60 just on soda and antipasto is crazy. Could have ordered 3 entrees. Only family style I have been to where desserts were not family style but individual. Waiter didnt have dessert menu or cart. He rattled off a few items and none impressed us. Went to bakery and picked up our own dessert.
Nice place but very noisy and not because of crowds because there was much spacing among tables which were empty. This was a group and consensus was food was just ok. Prices are reasonable. You can get small size meals or large for sharing. Food portion for small was very generous. We all took home which will be plenty for another meal. Excellent server, but they need more help . It took long for service.
Pleasantly surprised from a friends birthday luncheon I attended here. The reviews were mixed and since we weren't making the food options I wasn't sure want to expect. For starters staff was fantastic and really on top of the guest needs. We were in there back room total party of 50. The staff constantly came by for drinks orders. They also were great and remembered what drink one was drinking. Kudos to the staff the staff alone is worth 5 stars. Now the food- bread and bruschetta family style it was good. We had an option Caesar or their house salad. I went with Caesar and I did not enjoy it all! I barely ate it. Pasta - Garlic & oil or vodka I went with vodka it was okay not great but okay. Tasty Entree- we had about 6 options I went with chicken francese it was tasty better than I thought it would be. Overall, everything tasted okay but service was excellent.
We just finished dinner. Food was good. Service was horrible. Waiter never came to see how everything was. The owner was busing tables. A few bucks he could have had another busboy. I asked 3 different people for more water and never got it. The tortoni tasted freezer burnt. The chicken parm was good. Manninos in commack or Chris and Tony in syosset is much better choice.
Attended large celebration in a private room. Have never eaten in the dining room off regular menu, so it seems unfair to tell you much about the food. We did have three or four choices. It was a very pleasant experience. If it was closer to where I live, I would go back and try the restaurant proper.
Came here for a party two years ago. The food was amazing! Recently went back for lunch and the food was average. The best part of the meal was the bread. It was great. The worst part of the visit was FoxNews playing on the TV.
Went in for Easter dinner, sat there for two hours and never got our food. We then left and Sal told us too bad and don't come back.
Good here is sub-par. I would say this food is terrible quality and taste worse than Olive Garden. Eggplant parmigiana is the worst i have ever eaten.
We went to celebrate my Mother's birthday, we had our own cake and they wanted to charge us per person to serve and cut the cake. Left us with a very uncomfortable 😕 and not family oriented atmosphere, I would not recommend this place for a place to celebrate, the food was ok. On top of all of this the tables were not social distanced.
Food has been better on past visits. Good quantity, average quality for a family style restaurant. Chicken parm good but the chicken was paper thin. Spaghetti bolognese was a little too al dente for our tastes. Wait staff was nothing short of terrible on a recent trip. We assumed the tip would be included with the bill considering the service, but it wasn't. Unfriendly primary waiter (that's being generous), walked away from the table halfway through the drink orders. After a bit of a wait someone came by and offered to refill two of our sodas, but they never came back with a refill. Personally I had nothing to drink at the end of the meal as my water stopped being refilled halfway through eating. This was early on a Saturday, before the rush. Unfortunately the manager came by to check in before the bread made it to the table so we didn't voice our displeasure on the day.
Be sure to check your bill when having a large table. I recently had a large table of 13 adults and 9 children. I took the itemized bill home with me because the total sounded outrageous. After reviewing the bill I realized there were many things I was overcharged for. I called the next day and asked for a manager which I believe was the owner who got on the phone. I went over the bill and he called over the waiter to ask some questions. I could hear the conversation in which there was a big discrepancy regarding our order. The owner said he would review the camera and call me in an hour. Needless to say, I did not hear back in which I called the next day and left a message. I did receive a call back, although he said the camera showed the waiter was right, we all know there was no camera especially when I made my argument quite clear, there was no possible way. He then put me on speaker so the waiter in question could hear and respond. Very unprofessional, as there were too many ways in which I was correct, the waiter offered to send me his own personal check. Totally ridiculous...At this point, it was the principal of the way the owner handled it. Waiter's work mostly on tips so inflating the bill is to their advantage, however, I feel the owner threw him under the bus. So many negatives regarding this matter. By the way, the food is good which is the only reason for the two stars.
Took over an hour between appetizers and main course .Waiter was too friendly with other customers, as if he knew them.Paid little attention to our party of 8. Room was horrifically loud with uncontrollable kids screaming throughout our stay..Mistakes with dinner orders and missing drinks took another half hour to correct .Waiter kept apologizing and blamed the kitchen, but couldn't get a missing drink in under 30 minutes?? Only positive thing was the food was very good
We came here for the first time on a Fri night. We were actually on our way to Popei's seafood restaurant when we passed this place. We had been to the Smithtown location a few times and it was great! We expected this location to be just as good..big mistake. The place was crowded and noisy but, OK we could deal with that. However, the waiter apparently didn't hear my husband's order correctly. He orig ordered a shrimp entree but when he found out it didn't come with pasta, he switched it to spaghetti carbonara. Well, the waiter brought him both entrees. My husband didn't want to make a big deal about it so, he didn't say anything. I ordered the shrimp LaFamiiglia. It was not good! The shrimp tasted like overcooked frozen breaded shrimp. They were so tough, it was hard to cut them. The brown sauce tasted like gravy from a jar. I regret not sending it back..my fault. I only ate a few bites and the bill was over $100. We were so disappointed to pay that much for a lousy meal. Use quality ingredients if you're going to charge higher prices!
We were there for foodie week, and we were given a menu that had their lunch as $3 more than the online printout. Since I had the printout, they honored the price. That wasn't right to be on foodie week and not share that information with those that entered for lunch. There was a party going on in the back room, so the waiters were busy servicing that room, and since we were the only people there for a regular lunch in their dining room, we waited longer for our food. There's so many wonderful Italian and Northern Italian restaurants within a 15-minute radius, that we felt there is much better quality of food elsewhere. On a positive note, their mussles in red sauce was a nice size portion and delicious.
If I if I could give this place is 0 Stars I would. On a day we were celebrating my brother-in-law's life they tried to take advantage of my family and overcharged us by thousands of dollars. $120 a plate for hot antipasto $100 for 8 slices of cake 100 drinks at $9 a drink, I would suggest anyone who is considering this restaurant to look somewhere else were there going to be concerned with the people who are there and try and not rob them. Taking advantage of people at a wake, shame on them.
Be careful when having a large party at this restaurant!! We were promised a family style meal with the food being replenished immediately as needed. When the food trays became empty we had to wait a while for more food to be cooked! The staff brought out the coffee AFTER the cake was served. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for the espresso and cappuccino to be served. The service was not great. We were disappointed and we will never give this establishment our business again.
Ordered for pick up. When came in, first thing they did swiped my card for over $120 order. Then told me that someone took my box by mistake and I have to wait for food to be cooked. No apology, not even a cup of water offered during 25 min wait. The demeanor was like I should feel bad that they have to cook it again. Do better!
Service was horrible and food mediocre. Sat us next to a loud party room when the host discovered our original table was dirty. The entire dining room was empty except for 2 tables which should have been our first clue. Did not offer us drinks. We received a salad with no dressing. The waiter served it to us unknowingly or didn’t care not sure. We asked 2 x for more bread and didn’t get. Asked for olive oil, didn’t get. No dessert offered. Hmmm starting not to have empathy for these restaurants who think they can scrape by with terrible service to us ordinary folk who just want to treat themselves to a nice dinner once in a while. They deserve to close.
The owner Sal Cracchiolo seems to not truly care about the family style experience that he claims because this past Easter was the worst dining experience I have ever encountered. We were promised a table at 2:30, arrived to a crowded lobby and was not seated until after 3:15. He clearly overbooked and wanted to make as much money as possible because we weren’t even served an appetizer until 40 minutes later. The server did his best job but this falls on Sal and greed. Do not recommend this place.
I came here for the first time last night with my boyfriend and my son. My experience was great. We were immediately seated upon entry, Our server was prompt and friendly. Drinks were great and the food EVEN BETTER! But then things got terrible. There was a busboy serving our table he was really friendly and helpful which I thought was great. Until my boyfriend went to the bathroom he came up to make and asked where he went. Then he started asking me questions. And then my NUMBER even brought a pen and paper and said hurry before he comes. RIDICULOUS. I declined and it caused for a very uncomfortable rest of the night.
