This is a special place. Bavette Grill in Plano has been one of our favorite restaurants for a few years. It’s a cozy, gluten-free neighborhood bistro with impeccable service and consistently delicious food. The chef is a very cool, kind, and personable guy, and he takes real pride in what he serves. The fact that the restaurant opened in 2020—right in the middle of COVID—makes their success even more impressive. If you have any dietary needs, mention them. The chef is extremely accommodating, and the staff is careful and attentive when it comes to allergies. The food is simple in the best way: clean flavors, thoughtful combinations, and beautiful presentation. Our favorites are the succulent signature steak, the Estillo Gaucho salad (the pistachios make it unforgettable), and the short rib croquettes—just perfect one-bite heaven. You won't regret indulging in the desserts which are unique and delicious. And the patio is spectacular—lush, green, and relaxing. Especially in the cooler weather when the fireplace is on. Sometimes you’ll see the chef pop out to clip fresh herbs from the garden for whatever he’s cooking and if he’s out there, you can chat with him for a moment. It’s a small touch, but it makes the place feel warm and personal. You won’t be disappointed here.

This place is fantastic. The aesthetic of the interior was beautiful and well put together. Ethan is the manager, and he was so accommodating to my family and our dog we had with us. They set us up out on the patio; had a water bowl ready for our dog. Kenneth was our server, and he was so kind & personal! We had the short rib croquettes as an appetizer; fantastic! Definitely order those and try them! We ordered the redfish &shrimp, chicken sandwich, burger, & pork wrapped medallions. My family and I were so busy enjoying our meal, we were not talking to each other! This place is amazing. Everything is so fresh and even the ketchup is homemade?? Unbelievable. You have got to come check them out! They offer so many gluten free options as well! We will be back. Thank you Ethan & Kenneth for the wonderful experience!

First time here and completely hooked! We loved the professional service and beautiful atmosphere! We started with the yummy bar service! Had a special of the day with cucumber vodka mix. So refreshing! Followed by the delicious meatball appetizers. For our main course we enjoyed the steak salad and top notch burger. Ended with an interesting and tasty shot of cinnamon roll cojito! Omg! So so amazing! This restaurant is a sister of EG steakhouse! We will definitely be back! Thank you Alex for taking care of us!

We recently dined here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and were very impressed! We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. The food and drinks were excellent, service was great and ambiance was warm and inviting! The decor is beautiful and they actually grow fresh herbs onsite. Our server (Kenneth) did a fine job and made sure we were well taken care of. If you’re looking for a nice, upscale American cuisine restaurant, be sure to check out Bavette Grill. I recommend the short rib croquettes, salmon cakes, and the salmon nut berry salad.

10 out of 10. The service, atmosphere, food, and drinks are as good as it gets. Our server, Tyler, was one of the best servers I've ever come across. We can't wait to come back here and I'm telling my Plano friends to check this spot out. I recommend the salmon cakes, short rib croquettes, steak tips & mac n' cheese, grilled Atlantic salmon, kiss from a rose, veggie sandwich (seriously), and the Scottish gentleman so far. We can't wait to come back. Very impressive. 👏

This was an excellent experience for us. Dinner was superb and dessert was decadent. Everything was well thought out and delicious. Service was amazing. The chef is also excellent and very personable. If I lived in the area, I would eat here very regularly. Just go in and see, it's worth it.

Hidden Gem Near Blue Mesa – A Must-Visit! This quiet restaurant is a breath of fresh air—literally. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with a calming, spa-like scent that instantly sets the tone. The ambiance is warm and peaceful, with mood lighting and beautiful plant accents that create a serene atmosphere. Their chicken sandwich is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—but be warned, it’s only available after 3 PM on their dinner menu. My husband is completely hooked on their French dip, and I can’t blame him. What really sets this place apart is their commitment to quality over quantity. Every sauce is made in-house, and you can taste the difference. You can tell they truly take pride in every dish they serve. Conveniently located off 121/Dallas Parkway near Blue Mesa, this spot is absolutely worth the stop.

I stopped by Bavette Grill for lunch and had an amazing experience! I ordered the Atlantic salmon with mashed potatoes and shrimp, Pasta Primavera and every bite was absolutely perfect. A solid 10/10. The hibiscus drink was okay, refreshing but nothing too standout. There was a small mix-up with my mashed potatoes (I was initially served the version with bacon instead of the one without), but the staff handled it with so much care. Chef Mauricio personally came out, apologized sincerely and made sure my order was corrected quickly. That kind of attention really stood out and meant a lot. *chef kiss* The ambience of the restaurant is also really lovely and aesthetically pleasing. I’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend!

I don’t know why it took us so long to come here but all we can say is WOW. the amazing service started from the moment I called to see if there was a wait on the patio. The gentleman was so sweet to check for us and said he could seat us soon if we could get there in 10 min. We took more like 20 but when we arrived, not only did he remember me from the phone call, but he took us to the best seat on the patio, right next to the fireplace. We were weird and wanted the fireplace to be turned on in 70 degree weather and he made it happen. Megan, our server, was phenomenal and she took the time to explain everything in the menu while also pointing out some recommendations. We basically ordered everything she suggested and it did not disappoint. Everything was so delicious! Then to our surprise, a complimentary chocolate mousse. We regret not coming here sooner. We already can’t wait to go back. Oh, and the gluten-free selection beats all the other surrounding restaurants and beyond!! I can’t recommend this place enough! We will be back!

Absolutely Amazing Dining Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This restaurant exceeded all my expectations! The salmon and redfish were beyond delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The salmon cakes were so good that I’ll be ordering them every time I come back! The French fries were cooked to perfection with a beautiful golden color, and the desserts—pistachio tres leches and passion fruit cheesecake—were simply outstanding. Beyond the food, the little details made a big difference. They have coat hangers next to the tables, which is such a thoughtful touch. There’s also plenty of parking, making it easy to visit. The patio seating was just right—not too hot or cold—and the music was at the perfect volume to create a great atmosphere. I also love that they grow their own salads, which really adds to the freshness of the dishes. “I just wish they had some kind of halal options so more people could enjoy their amazing food!” Highly recommend this place! I’ll definitely be back.

Let me start with the ambience. As you enter you see the fancy bar. The entire restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. Now moving to drinks, Je Vex was what I got and it was on point. It stayed true to the description on the menu. The appetizers were deviled eggs and salmon cakes which tasted amazing. The French Onion Soup was caramelized to perfection. Moving to mains, I had short rib steak with mashed potatoes and cheese. It was great. The blackened salmon tasted good. The star of the show was the dark chocolate cheesecake which felt like a mousse, so soft, creamy and chocolatey. The service was excellent. All in all, the entire experience was worth it.

My Mom and I were running late for our 12:30PM reservation, so I called the restaurant to inform them of our 15-minute delay. Rebecca was very kind, courteous, understanding, and professional, told me not to worry and that she would inform the hostess of our slightly delayed arrival. When we walked in, we were greeted by Ethan with a smile and shown to our table. As first-time visitors, we were wowed by the phenomenal food, the ideal portions, impeccable service, vibrant energy, cool vibe, and beautiful ambiance. The song choice was solid too! We enjoyed it all. Our server, Aylin, suggested several Menu items and was attentive without being intrusive, engaging, and receptive - made sure we had what we needed and checked on us during our meal which we appreciated. She also mentioned Wine Dinners, Tastings, and other Specials she felt we would be interested in. I loved her energy and enthusiasm. We will make sure to request her again on our next visit. We ordered the “Sweet Dreams” and “Come Fly With Me” Cocktails. Clearly, only the freshest ingredients are used in the preparation of their handcrafted cocktails. Both invigorated our taste buds and had just the right balance of flavor and intensity. Additionally, Aylin brought still water - per our request - to the table. The Tomato Basil Soup lent a harmonizing, creamy, savory, sweet, richness, depth, and well-balanced flavor. It was an absolute delight for our palate. The Chicken Club was comprised of French Bread with layers of tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, flavorful high-quality meat that melded together beautifully with mayo and garden pesto. The Fries were a true standout. I love that they are small, thin, well-seasoned, and plentiful. With the garlic herb salt they use, it is no wonder these little numbers are so addictive. The BVT Steak was most noteworthy, however, and undoubtedly the star of the show. THE most succulent, tender cut of meat I have ever had. It was well-marbled and provided that texture and depth of flavor that far exceeded my expectations. The Balsamic Glaze imparted a distinct flavor and complemented the steak remarkably well. It was also perfectly cooked to my liking (medium-well). Every bite was pure heaven. The Cream Cheese filled Peppadew Pepper was a nice touch and further enhanced the taste of the steak by way of a smoky, sweet flavor. The Pistachio Tres Leches Cake was the perfect conclusion to our meal. The creamy mouthfeel, spongy texture, and a nutty crunch to top it all off was the ideal accompaniment to the Coquito - which came highly recommended by Aylin and which she so delectably described as liquid dessert- and it did not disappoint. Props to the owners, management, and Chef. Five Star Meal all around. All dishes excellent! We will be back! They even have a Hydroponic Garden on their patio and all sauces are made-in-house. Pretty much all items are (or can be modified to be) Gluten-Free. It’s more than just being healthy or trendy; it’s a lifestyle - and Bavette Grill hit it out of the park!

We love the energy filled with greenery, warm lighting, and a beautiful covered patio with a cozy fireplace. The food, drinks, and desserts are absolutely amazing. They also offer excellent gluten-free options, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences and needs.
