Opinions de Le Beef Plano
Came here to grab dinner with my parents! I was very excited as I have never been to a Restaurant dedicated to Steak and Frites! Walking in the way the Restaurant set ups is very neat with somewhat of an open Kitchen Concept and Full Sit Down bar. The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment of stepping in and took great care of us. The theme for this review is quality, attention to detail and how well everything complements each other. There was definitely a lot of thought when this prix fixe menu was put together, and restaurant was opened on how all aspects of the meal from the salad, sauces and protein would work together over the course of the meal! I’m not a salad person, and always get nervous when a salad has heavy vinaigrette, but this salad was all so well balanced, with the champagne vinaigrette having a good flavor and not being overpowering. The pistachios and strawberry perfectly complemented the flavor profile of the vinaigrette. Next you get a beef canapé in a puff pastry that was absolutely delicious, and was a good pre curser of what to expect in terms of flavor for the main attraction of the steak frites. I could have had snacked on those canabes all night. They also served a house bread that was delicious with a very light butter. Pro tip: save the bread for the end to suck up the juices from the steak mixed with their sauce. The main attraction of Steak Frites did not disappoint and I went in with high expectations being this is their menu only concept. There should be a photo of this steak for perfectly cooked, as this steak was precisely medium as I asked for with a perfect pink color. You get asked if you want the le beef sauce, which I highly recommend you do as it perfectly complements the steak. The sauce is has a very well balanced herbal flavor, that is savory. It does not take away from the steak, which was also perfectly seasoned and also pairs well with the fries. They also offer a spicy sauce, which from my understanding is the Le beef sauce with some added spices including paprika and maybe some more pepper. I might have enjoyed that sauce even more, so I recommend pairing your steak with that sauce too. The fries were delicious, with a great crisp, good seasoning and held in the flavor from the sauce well! My only concern was the size of the beef, as I like to eat a large steak, but although it is a smaller steak relative to me, would estimate around 6 to 8 ounces it had a very delicate profile, and was filling especially with the complimentary sauces. I left the Restaurant in perfect balance of full and not stuffed, as the prix fixe menu gives you just the right amount and portion of food. I did not have room for dessert, but will definitely try some the next time I come. Highly recommend Le beef, and again the service was fantastic from the moment we stepped in until the very end of our experience.
We went as a family for lunch and absolutely loved it! The food, drinks, and service were outstanding, and the cozy French-inspired ambiance made it perfect for a relaxing afternoon together. The butter lettuce salad with strawberries, pistachios, and blueberries was fresh and flavorful. The steak and fries were cooked perfectly and served with delicious sauces that elevated every bite. The desserts were incredible — the chocolate mousse with a pinch of sea salt was silky and light, the crème brûlée perfectly caramelized, and the strawberry pistachio cheesecake was light and creamy. The cocktails were refreshing and beautifully made. The owners were so engaging, personally greeting guests and making sure every table was well taken care of. Their warmth and attention to detail made the experience even more special. We’ll definitely be back — LeBeef is a true gem in Legacy North!!!
Taking advantage of the last days off from the holidays and adding a new experience to our foodie restaurant list, we explored the newest addition at Legacy North: Le Beef. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and there was no wait for our table during lunch. As you may know, this restaurant offers a fixed menu, which makes the experience simple and effortless. The salad was flavorful, with a perfect balance of pistachios, berries, and vinaigrette. We were also treated to a complimentary side of beef canapés with brava sauce—absolutely delicious. For the main entrée, we chose the Le Beef with fries. The beef was cooked to perfection; our selections were medium-rare and medium. Among the complimentary sauces, the rustic mustard was a clear favorite for us. For dessert, we selected the classic crème brûlée, with the caramelized sugar flambéed to order. Overall, Le Beef is a refreshing alternative—simple yet elevated in flavor, with excellent customer service. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return. * Reservations - Resy
I popped into Le Beef to sit at the bar and have a nice solo dinner. The staff was warm and attentive and every single thing I ate was AMAZING! Each sauce had the perfect flavor, my steak was cooked to perfection, and the chicken appetizer was delicious! Fernando was so kind and made me feel comfortable eating alone! I will be back!
This joint is very fancy, especially if you want to have a steak dinner. I’ve tried a number of different steak frites in my life, from flat iron with a brandy Demi glaze, to the classic with béarnaise, but this is different, an herbal nutty sauce that I can’t quite put my mouth to it. The waiter said that it has 19 different ingredients, maybe an eastern Mediterranean or middle eastern type of sauce? It’s not for everybody. But the salad today was interesting, pistachios, currants of dried fruit and strawberries with an olive oil vinaigrette dressing. The sweet potato fries for side dishes were phenomenal, a spicy aioli mixed with the sweetness of the potato, and the chocolate mousse for dessert was light and rich with a sprinkle of salt. All in all the restaurant has a nice set up, nice atmosphere, and the service was great, this place should go for a Michelin star.
This was highly rated and well worth the experience. I discovered Le Beef thanks to RESY by American Express. The reviews are absolutely true to form. Service is impeccable, and the menu is extremely simple, but surprisingly perfect. The salads are delicious, the steaks are exceptionally prepared and the green steak sauce matches to the meat perfectly. Cocktails are amazing, and the vibe is upscale, classy and perfect for date nights or an experience with family or friends. There is a bar area and seating for couples, small groups and large gatherings. Parking is easy with the free garage, and prices are reasonable and worth every single penny. This is easily one of the best restaurants in the area by far, and if you love steak, you will love this place. They also own Bavette Grill just across the way at Legacy Village, which is also outstanding. Highly recommended!
We walked in on a whim and because the Thai place across the street was unexpectedly not opened but Boy, did we have a wonderful time! Ambience was just like a French Bistro in Paris Inside and outside. Service was with all smiles ( unlike the French) and owner came over to explain their cuisine and rationale for the pre fixe menu! The pre fixe dishes were prepared exquisitely, the meats were dry aged and then cooked perfectly and the tarragon sauce was both unique and very flavorful! The drinks too were well made and perfectly matched to the Le Beef pre fixe menu. The butter leaf lettuce salad was the perfect starter and the special tasting was both tasty and Avant Garde! And the Chocolat Mousse was delicious ! And portions were perfect for a light lunch ! We plan to come back for a wholesome dinner here as menu staying same, the portions are slightly larger!
Tried a new spot for steak frites and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked perfectly, but the real star for me was the sauce—rich, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Finished with their homemade cheesecake, which was the perfect ending: light, not too heavy, and insanely good. Highly recommend this new spot. The owner of the restaurant was very attentive and welcoming to everyone dining.
A French experience right here in Plano! I’m so impressed with everything about Le BEEF! The atmosphere was such a delight…it was the ideal environment for a date night…whether that date be with your favorite friend or friends or significant other. I enjoyed a hand crafted cocktail that was as yummy as beautiful. I was super impressed with their Non Alcoholic choices…I’d never heard of 0 vodka or 0 gin. I love the options being brought to this NA space!! Appetizer was on point. The delicate pastry holding the super tasty beef was delicious. It was the perfect combination of light and airy and hearty and tasty! The salad was the perfect portion full of flavor…dressing, beautiful greens, strawberries, dried cranberries. Yum! Then the main course…WOW! The beef was perfectly cooked, flavorful and super tender. I opted for the sauce on the side but found myself dipping into it with each bite. The frites were perfectly crisp, tasty and hot. We didn’t get dessert this time but the crème brûlée and cheesecake looked amazing. Any other night I’d have enjoyed a coffee and dessert but it was too close to my bed time. The service!!! The attention to detail!! Even watching the wait staff clean a table impressed me. The forks that had just been cleaned were stacked together perfectly. I even noticed the way the plates were inspected before making their way to the table. This kind of detail is really (really) hard to come by these days. The team at Le BEEF are well trained and take their role seriously and I LOVE IT!! Our waitress was attentive, informative, polite and friendly!! We had such a wonderful experience!! Go. Enjoy Le BEEF.
This is my new favorite place in the area! Besides the menu being limited to one option (chicken or steak), I think they did a great job focusing on one thing and making it perfect! Jocelyn was our server and she did a great job, she made our first experience unforgettable ✨ she made great suggestions and was checking on everything we needed! We started with a salad as an appetizer, then a portion of a warm and crispy bread (delicious) with a creamy butter on the side, and small canapés with a flavorful beef and spicy aioli on top. They were amazing!!! We ordered steak for our entree and chicken for my son. Both were cooked to perfection! The steak had a lovely pink color, and the chicken breast was incredibly juicy. They didn’t add too much salt, but you can always add your own black pepper or salt if you prefer (they have a couple salt/pepper shakers on the table). The fries were very crispy and we got some roasted veggies that have a delicious texture and flavor, they were really good! Finally we tried the vanilla ice cream in a cup (deli) but my fave was the creme brulee, the sugar layer was very crispy and the cream felt like a velvety texture 😍 loved it so much!! It’s a must!! For drinks we got 4 cocktails, my favorite were the Basilic and the honey old fashioned (first and second option in the menu), the Bisou Bisou was great but not too strong and the Marguerita had too much salt in the rim but was refreshing. Finally, the patio was a perfect spot for a dinner at 7:30pm, the lights and the umbrellas made us feel so comfortable and we enjoyed the whole experience! Definitely we will come back!
second time dining here & its always so delicious. the staff is amazing & kind. the steak is really good & for $30 the set meal is such a steal. i have came with friends & family and everyone enjoys it and has a great time :) be sure to try the dessert!
Le Beef in Plano is the kind of place that makes you sit up a little straighter in your chair, loosen your belt preemptively, and whisper, “Alright, impress me.” Reader, it does. Let’s start with the obvious: steak. The cuts here are confident. No gimmicks, no theatrics—just well-seasoned, properly cooked aged beef that knows exactly why it showed up. Juicy, tender, and rocking that “I was grilled by someone who actually cares” energy. Add the green sauce and suddenly you’re having a main character moment with your fork in a quaint French cafe setting. The sides don’t phone it in either. The fries are thin, crisp, and dangerously easy to keep dipping in that stone ground mustard long after you’ve sworn you’re full. The bread arrives warm and humble, paired with butter that’s clearly been living its best life. It’s simple, sure—but simplicity hits different when it’s done right. Now, the plot twist: dessert. The crème brûlée comes out with that glassy crack that deserves its own sound effect, and the strawberry cheesecake is light enough to make you question gravity. Sweet, balanced, and not afraid to show restraint—rare traits in modern desserts, honestly. The vibe lands somewhere between polished and relaxed. It’s upscale without being uptight, the kind of place where date night, celebrations, or a random “we deserve this” dinner all make perfect sense. Service is warm, attentive, and refreshingly human. Le Beef isn’t trying to reinvent the steakhouse. It’s just executing the classics with confidence and a wink. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you’re craving.
Le BEEF is an amazing restaurant experience. The zero proof drink I had was sweet but not too sweet. That is what I can say about everything that is a part of the two course meal. The special sauce has a woody flavor that pairs exceptionally with the steak. The steak was so tender and juicy. The service was amazing. A total team effort. The restaurant has limited seating which gives an open and relaxed vibe. Absolutely worth the price.
Le Beef Steak + Frites — Best Steak Combo in DFW! They only have one combo on the menu, and honestly — that’s all they need! For $30, you get a fresh salad, a mini beef starter, and a perfectly cooked steak, thin crispy fries. The steak is so soft and flavorful, and everything is seasoned just right. Simple menu, amazing quality. If you're looking for a good place for steak, this is the spot — truly one of the best in DFW 🥩🍟🔥 Highly recommend!
I was having a rough time prior to coming here and my boyfriend brought me here for our anniversary. The service was amazing, the owner/manager welcomed us in an hour before closing and even surprised us with free chocolate mousse. The food was amazing and will definitely be back! Thank you for having us!
Had a late Valentines date with my wife at Le BEEF a couple of days ago. Made a reservation because I thought it would be packed a couple days after Valentines but plenty of room. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Atmosphere was also very nice with the restaurant being very well decorated. The menu is prix fixe so super easy to order unless you don’t like steak, but there are other options. Very well priced as well with the meal being about ~$30 per person. The serving size is a tad bit small but should be enough for most people. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

I recently dined at Le Beef and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a beautiful decor that set the perfect mood for a wonderful meal. The food was exceptional—each dish was not only beautifully presented but also packed with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the main entree (steak made medium rare at my ask) which was cooked to perfection. The attention to detail in every bite really made the experience memorable. Additionally, the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, I highly recommend Le Beef for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic dining experience. I can’t wait to return!
Wow! Phenomenal steak. This steak needs nothing. Cooked perfectly it's delicious just as it is. Everything was superb. Chocolate mousse was divine. I can't believe how affordable it is. New fave restaurant. Drinks and service were also superb. Highly recommend.
If you want a little slice of Paris in the North Dallas area, you’re in luck! This lovely, family-run bistro has an authentic flair, with great food, service and prices. They have a prix fixe menu from which to choose your protein, and a secret basil sauce to give it a unique and tasty flavor. Dinner comes with a light butter lettuce salad with pistachios, strawberries, dried cranberries with balsamic vinaigrette. The steak is a 50 day, wet aged, USDA prime top blade cut, and it was delicious and tender! We had the basilic imperial drink with citrus vodka which was light and just perfect, and the beef canapés with their secret spicy sauce for a little bit of a kick. We finished with a perfectly made crème brûlée that was exceptional. Service was attentive and delightful and we had a wonderful dinner. Tables are spaced apart enough so it feels spacious and not crowded and you can have conversation, and they have small purse and jacket trees for each table to hang your items. A lovely place for a great lunch or dinner if you have the chance to stop in—not stuffy at all, and you feel like family when you walk in the door and see Anna and Alex as your hosts. P.S. Their sister restaurant, Bavette Grill is not far and similarly excellent!!

So impressed by this new restaurant! It felt like a well established eatery! I’m a bit indecisive when it comes to where to eat and what to eat when I get there and Le Beef made my date night out a breeze! Simple but well-curated menu with delicious little touches. Steak and Frites was delicious and I love the le beef green sauce! We also had both the crème brûlée and strawberry cheesecake because we couldn’t choose just one! So glad didn’t chose to just share, because we finished every bite of both! Lovely date night dinner, we will be back soon!
Glad to have found this restaurant, one item and dessert but let me say beyond my expectations! $29 and all I can say I’ll back there a lot more! The veggies were so different and served differently but the flavors of all the different sauces for the steak, and the bread too!mmm… let’s just say this place is a must go try it yourself and fall in love with it like me. Sorry for not better pictures but the butter lettuce salad 🥗 just going to say they deserve 20 stars ⭐️

⭐ 7/10 – LeBEEF in Plano Finally checked out LeBEEF in Plano and I have mixed feelings. The presentation was definitely on point — everything looked clean, simple, and elevated. But the menu is very limited: you really only get to choose between steak, sausage, or chicken, plus a side of fries. The steak was cooked well and the sauce added a nice touch, but overall the food was just okay tasting, nothing that really stood out. Now…the flan. It looked amazing, but I ended up finding a hair inside the dish, which instantly ruined it for me. To their credit, the staff handled it really well — they comped the dessert and brought out their signature chocolate treat. It was a super fluffy whipped chocolate with a sprinkle of salt that balanced the sweetness nicely. Definitely the highlight of the meal. Service was great and the aesthetics are nice, but flavor-wise it didn’t quite hit for me. Still worth trying once if you’re curious!
Le BEEF delivers a focused prix fixe that works. The artisan salad was fresh, bright, and one of the best starts I’ve had in a while. The steak with its signature sauce was very good—though I’d have liked a touch more seasoning—and the frites were spot on: crisp, hot, addictive. The standout bite of the night was the pastry appetizer filled with steak and spice. Absolutely incredible. Dessert closed things out with a strong crème brûlée and a cheesecake that was just okay. Drinks showed real personality. The Basilic Impérial was the star cocktail—layered and refreshing—while the dirty martinis and La Vie en Rose kept the flow right. A pour of Blanton’s over a rock capped the night perfectly. Service at the bar lagged a bit, though not the bartender’s fault. She was excellent—friendly, polite, and hustling—but with no bar back, glasses piled up and drinks slowed. That’s a management issue, not staff. Overall, Le BEEF is a sharp steak-and-frites house with cocktails and apps that overdeliver. A strong 4.5-star experience, and I’m curious to see where the menu expands from here.
Had a pretty nice experience at Le Beef. Had been meaning to check it out with there finally being a steak frites place closer by. We got the lunch special which looked like a great deal. We started with the salad which was just okay. The lettuce was wilted and on the smaller side. They sent us some complimentary canapes which were like meat tarts. A little salty but good. The steak frites portion came out afterwards and was on the smaller side but I guess that's to be expected for lunch lunch. It was overall pretty good. Steak wasn't the best cut but still tasted good with the sauce. Fries were a little overcooked and on the crunchy side. Dessert was a chocolate mousse which was in a small ramekin. FYI, tasted like there was alcohol in there but pretty good with the salt on top. Overall had a pretty good experience. The interior and design was beautiful and felt like something you'd see in Paris. Might come back and try dinner next time but thought it was a good value for the price point.
Writing my review after my second visit: Everything is so heavily salted. The first visit, the fries were so salty. Second visit, the chicken was so salty… While the chicken meat itself was tender, it being so salty was alarming. Just get the steak. Worth your money. Also, the appetizers and seasonal side dishes are, in my opinion, better than the steak and frites. My first visit had the medley veggies. It was so good I ordered a second round. The second visit, they had sweet potato fries instead. I was a little disappointed when unformed of what they had currently, but it was actually very good once I tasted it. Desserts are also good. Weird how the main entree is just good enough. The interior and atmosphere is also tidy and leans itself to trendy and wannabe upscale. But the food feels underwhelming when the main dish is just alright. I would still go maybe one more time and ask for no salt. The price point is too hard to pass up for the potential it has.

Beautiful restaurant and good addition to the Shops at Legacy. The simplicity of a prix fixe menu allows them to focus on getting their dishes absolutely right. I asked for a medium rare steak, which they delivered, almost edge to edge, which was impressive. It was a bit underseasoned and definitely needs the green sauce that it comes with for that extra bit of flavor. But if you don't like the green sauce you'll be left with a steak that lacks in flavor a bit. It was also soft all the way through as it didn't have a really seared crust. Whether you like it or not depends on your preference, but a sear like that may have helped with flavor. The frites were well seasoned and crispy making them a good partner to a somewhat soft and underseasoned steak. I am a big fan of the artisan salad with its on good mix of fresh ingredients. In addition to the salad and frites, they also provided a beef phyllo shells appetizer and pilaf, which were both fine. The service is great and definitely a focus of theirs.
Hostess was friendly. Gabby was our server and offered great service indeed💯the restaurant looks cute but for $30? I expect it a bit more upscale. I gave it a 3 rating because I didnt get to eat my steak. I told them that my meat has to be well done due to Anaphylaxis and twice i got it RED. I ended giving it to my son but what’s the purpose for that. I get to eat the corner pieces 🙄and it has No flavor. And No manager showed up to apologize particularly since my husband and son were done dining and i still awaited for my meal to arrive and when it did? Red again. I didnt want to fuss, so i paid for it but i should have NOT since i couldn’t eat it red. I didnt care for the salad either. I did love the bread and the canapes. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and you get served ice cream as if he is a little boy, meh 😒
