Loved the atmosphere and the delicious food. Food is medium price but you will be stuffed when you get out and will be able to take some leftovers with you. Waiter was super friendly and helpful :) We will be back again!
One of my favorite restaurants with really good own brewed beers. The salads, steaks and fries are all fantastic. I go there almost every time for my birthday. They have really good services. Unfortunately, they are closing at March 4. For the plano location. Really sad. Hopefully one day they will reopen. I definitely will go there.
Beer is great and happy hour makes me happy. Yellowfin tuna for the win!
Steak is great, beer is awesome, atmosphere is upbeat and loud. It is great for a weekend dinner. Beer selection is complete, from light to dark. I like this franchise in general but this location stands out
Omg! We had Brewers steak and chicken schnitzel! It was awesome! Mike, our waiter, was fantastic! Great experience! Wil definitely be back!!
The service was very quick, even though the restaurant was fairly busy on a Saturday night. Servers handled our large group very well, and the food was amazing. Very impressed. Not too expensive either.
Always an excellent meal and beer is fantastic. The food selection is great including lots of healthy options. It's a staple.
Just left the establishment had a burger and the beer tasting and mark as my bartender it was a fantastic time; Bartender was very knowledgeable of beers and the beers they had on tap food was wonderful will be sure to come in again.
Awesome service everytime we go. The French dip sliders are delicious! We took family from NY and they loved the quality and choices!
Excellent food! This place is not just a bar - it is a 4 Star restaurant disguised as a beer pub. Wow! It is my new favorite.
The beer was fantastic. The food was excellent. The kobi burger is the best. Perfect place for an evening out.
Chain, but don't hold it against them...this is a great spot! Gorgonzola Ribeye will ruin you for other steaks.
Great Pils. The Marzen is on the malty side. Good healthy food choices, or not if you prefer..
We Had A Great 1st Date...the Food Was Amazing..but More Importantly Are Waiter Thomas is the Reason We'll Be Back...He Was Exceptional...Thank You Thomas for the 1st Rated Service❤
Awesome beers and above average food. Price is a little high, but that's not out of the ordinary in the shops at legacy.
Great ambience. The garlic fries is a must and service is great. Price is fair
Excellent food and service! 1000 miles above Outback for the summer surf and turf.
Greeted by our server Pete very quickly. Pete was friendly and knew the answers to our questions. Service was great. Food came out timely, hot, and as we ordered it. I had the gb beer mushroom chicken and it was really good. Hubby had the sirloin with the garlic fries, I snagged a fry or two, those a crazy good. Dinner companions both enjoyed their dinners, can't recall what they ordered. Indulged in some creme brule for dessert. It was good, but I'd probably order something else next time. Over all really great service, really good food, I'd go back :)
Everything on the menu is amazing especially the burgers/pizzas. They also make their own delicious beer. The service is wonderful. I have never had a bad server here. On my 25th birthday this year I choose Gordon Biersch because I knew that they would be nice and accommodating, but also that everyone would find something they liked.
We came here for Sunday brunch. Gordon has a beautiful looking bloody mary bar but we ended up going for triple Belgium. We loved it so much we took advantage for their buy one get one and took a growler. Vanessa was our server was amazing and so sweet. When we come back we are going to ask for her. For food we went light with the beer sampler and grilled veggie salad. A word of caution, their garlic fries are stupidly good. We aren't fans for mustard but they make all of their food fresh in house and it was delicious. Everything was very tasty and cleanly presented. We'll mostly definitely be coming back.
Passing through this area today we just wanted to stop and wait out rush hour traffic...arrived during their happy hour. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and our array of appetizers came out great and as described! Warm/chill atmosphere too. Very fair HH pricing - sampled a few tasters of their own brews and WOW; so fresh! Yum.
I have been to Breweries all around the country and Gordon Biersch is my favorite. They make some of the best beer I have ever had. Absolutely love the Marzen and the Hefeweizen. The food is outstanding too, although a little pricey. Much better than the other Brewery Restaurants in the area that have descent beer and good food. But if you are wanting to go to a brewery for the beer you should go to this one, because the beer is off the charts
We went at 6 p.m. and it was not too crowded for a Wednesday night. We were able to get great seats out front outside on a nice night. I don't drink beer, but the California Burger was good. No matter what your taste I think you can find something here.
I'm a huge Craft Beer enthusiast. When Gordon Biersch opened up near my workplace, it immediately became my Happy Hour destination. Their on-site brewed beer is always fresh and there are styles to match any palette. The food is unique, fresh and very good. You can't beat the Happy Hour menu/food prices! There's a great group of bar regulars and I'm happy to say that I'm one of them. Come say HI and get introduced to everybody.
If you like beer this is a great place to go to and try various different flavors of beer. They brew their own. They also have a lot of nice dishes to try. It's a nice ambience in the staff is quite friendly.
Even though this is my favorite place to eat AND drink (the Märzen is my favorite) I'm sad they took away the fire roasted chicken pasta. Recently they also took away the fried baja tacos. And just yesterday found out they don't have a brunch menu. Granted I understand a brunch menu probably never really catered to their demographic but it makes me sad they keep taking away all the food items I love so much! Never the less I will never stop going here. Their food and beer are worth the money. Cheers!
Great beers, good food, and fantastic service! This was our first time here and definitely plan to return to try more of their offerings. We sampled each of their beers and all were good and unique in their own way.
Good food and great beer. The service can leave a little to be desired at times but usually it's good. They have a good selection of lunch options and a great beer selection. The portions are good and the food is tasty.
Their menu changes from time to time.. The last time I was in there to get their famous Blackened Mahi sandwich, it wasnt on the menu anymore. But it gave me the chance to try some of their other dishes.. The food is really good. I like their beer as well.. They make a pretty good Marzen.
I went to this Gordon Biersch restaurant for my birthday. the food was delicious, and came to us right on time. however, I would complain that I don't want to have people smoking in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant. just for health purposes and the well being of other people.
I think it is a good happy hour place. It is somewhere between a sports bar feel and a steakhouse feel. Way nicer than a sports bar would be but way more comfortable than a steakhouse. I like it.
Good Food. 4****Customer service doesn't stand out. Brewery is always unheard of. Not something we visit a lot. Not sure this place will make it in the long run.
The bright definition of a dive, treatable place where you can walk with you jeans & T with no problem or assist a nice business meeting, this place is like super flexible with great food and fairly inexpensive drinks... bartenders say hi by name and know what you drink...
Nice and upbeat atmosphere. Food was decent - not many veggie options. Good place to have beer...
Good pub-style food. Casual environment. Menu is poorly organized and some of the items are overpriced for what they are.
Great variety, definitely bound to find something you like. For the vegetarians, the veggie burger is a must try
Great beers, good food, live music, outdoor seating (with good weather), just the right place to unwind.
Great location, variety of beer choices and nice staff!
First visiting this place which is right across from RA Sushi in Shops of Legacy in Plano. We went in around 3 pm and the place wasn't too full. We were greeted and seated promptly. The decor is okay, it's a restaurant and brewery. Our server was very helpful, explained the beers on tap and what the menu was. Told us a little about the place and let us know they have tours as well. Their menu options has some German inspired stuff but not many. Their beer selection is awesome and the ones they brew on site sounds great. I ordered the Hefewiezen and Golden Export which were great. The taste was crisp and aromas good and pair well with my plate. For a starter we ordered the garlic fries and southwest egg rolls and were very impressed. The fries were very crispy and the garlic was plentiful and the fries soaked in it. It was great but beware of the breath later. The egg rolls were nice, full of ingredients and fried just enough. Better than Cheesecake factory ones for sure. We ordered the Traditional Sausage Platter which was delicious and the GB Beer Mushroom Chicken. The food flavor was good but not great. The potato croquettes were a little burned and once you dig in there isn't much flavor. That is why you have two sauces to try and were nice but I am not a big sauce person, I prefer to taste the actual food. The chicken was actually schnitzel but the flavor was lacking. Once you try the sauce then you get a great taste but alone, nothing to write home about. The asparagus were surprisingly good, they were not under or over cooked. All-in-all a great place to visit and hangout with friends. Bring your buds over to have some great beer. The bar looked very nice when we walked in. Some food was lacking flavor but I guess it depends on the plate you choose. I think you wont be disappointed. Ohh, and they have growlers to take home. Grab one of those next time for sure.
I've been here twice and I'm going with the better of the two times. I can't say that there is anything truly remarkable... it's just a decent place to go if you're in the area and nothings really striking your fancy.
Garlic fries were very good ! Service out on the patio was very slow.
The food was mediocre at best. The steak was dry, tough, fatty, and flavorless not to mention I ordered medium and received well done. We were told that they changed up their menu this week. I am guessing that since the reviews before mine have mostly been good, the change has not been good to the chef. Even the brownie sundae (which I didn't know you could possibly screw up) was only decent. As I told my wife, I would happily eat the dessert at home, but if I am going to pay $8 for it, I want a fresh, or at least hot, brownie and not one that has been sitting out for God knows how long. As far as the beer goes, the IPA (their seasonal currently) was pretty standard, nothing special or original about it. The hef was very bland, almost watered down. BJ's has better food, better beer, better prices, and their pazookie's (a baked cookie with ice cream) will make you believe in humanity again. Definitely not going back to Gordon Biersch.
I love craft beer so I added a vacation stop here to try their happy hour beer and appetizers. I tried a flight of the GB samples. This gives you a chance to try 4oz samples of their featured beer. Baja Tacos, a Garlic fries and scallops were all good. I would say the only thing lacking was follow up from the server. It wasn't that busy, but the server was slightly aloof. I would go back again. Great location, beer and food.
There's not enough food items in the menu.. plus you can't customize your pizza, that gets a MAJOR deduction,
Nice place, good beer. Out of five orders they got none of them right. From something as simple as french fries too overcooked steak to a totally forgotten salad, they botched it all. Good beer though.
This place is running its self into the ground. The only thing that is saving it is the beer. The food that you wouldn't consider a bar snack is all awful. The only reheat. Everything is pre made. Which has it coming out half cold and half warm. In fact, If anyone reads these I would suggest you switch to bar style food only. It would save you tons of money and work because people only come for the beer anyway. Now. The beer is awesome, we love to go there to get a pint and take home a growler. That feature is truly unique.
Nice location, fine beer, poor service. Been going there for a few years, but recently the service dropped off to the point that I am no longer interested to go there.
In a party of 6... 3 of our orders were wrong. Poor service except our drinks. Food was good just bad service.
It's normally great. The shrimp on the citrus salad is truly awful. It's been sliced thin and coated with some kind of starch, probably potato starch.
I will never return to this establishment. Y'all really should be ashamed of yourselves. I expected more from this brand especially for what we paid for our meals and beverages. Orders were taken and never delivered or if they did arrive it was an hour to THREE hours later. Drinks were disgusting and customer service horrific! When you have a large party coming in with a contract on file STAFF UP! The icing on the cake was the server telling me how terrible he felt that our service was so bad and that he was doing his best while reeking of a fresh smoked cigarette! That's not doing your best. Customers before cigarette breaks! Common sense, people.
