We went to celebrate a special anniversary. When I made the reservation, I explained what we were celebrating. They made it a memorable evening. The drinks were delicious and the desserts outstanding! Our server Deborah was on point all evening.. she made the night even better! Ask for her.. you will not be disappointed! I must add the service was top notch! I also left my purse behind when I was there and theu made sure to help me get my belongings back prior to my flight home ! 10/10 recommend!

We had such a wonderful experience! Our service was exceptional and really completed the experience. I was truly blown away by the taste and presentation of the desserts, so much so that it almost lives up to the name of the establishment. The wine was great, as well! My friend and I made this a part of our Halloween-fun night, so we also really appreciated the seasonal decorations and photo opportunities.

Great fun! This spot TOTALLY leans into the cheeky humor of its theme. And the drinks and desserts are fabulous. Definitely go with the Nookie Cookie and Fourgasem. Deborah our server was outstanding. Clever puns as she explained the menu and ensured we had a perfect evening. Also love that they provide you questions to ‘discuss’ during the evening. Super fun.

Really unique experience and so fun! I enjoyed the Blueberry Birthday Suit (grilled cheese with bri, blueberries, white chocolate, and cinnamon) and the Berry Bondage (crepe cake with real whipped cream and raspberries). I personally felt the white chocolate would be better melted and drizzled on the sandwich, rather than hard chunks inside the sandwich, and the cinnamon was a little much for me (there was a lot and it was loose and powdery so I coughed a bit), but the bri and blueberry mix was delightful! And everything about that crepe cake was divine! I know it’s a dessert cafe, but if there were just a few savory things I would be there far more! I imagine it’s a far more fun experience to bring your partner. The whole ambiance is delightfully flirty and there are lots of artistically naked statues and such. It was really fun and unique and SUPER delicious. Better than sex? Judge for yourself! There is free street parking, but this street is TOUGH for a walker or wheelchair. There are no curb cuts (ADA violation anyone…) and I couldn’t find a single handicap spot for blocks. That’s not the fault of the restaurant, but it was frustrating. The restaurant went out of their way to find me a nook where I could pull up with my walker and not feel in the way which was nice. It was such a fun vibe.

My wife and I decided to have a date night at Better Than Sex in Downtown Plano, and it was absolutely lovely. The ambiance is very romantic and sexy, with each booth feeling extremely private. It's worth noting that there are plenty of tasteful sexy photos around, so leave the kids and any extremely prudish friends at home. Or bring 'em if that's your thing, who am I to judge? Reservations are available, but even on a Friday evening we had no issues getting a table. The menu is full of dirty puns and double entendres, which I absolutely love. Our server took time to explain some of the menu options and make recommendations. Everything is on a tablet, but unlike the kiosks at Olive Garden these were easy to use and didn't feel obtrusive at all. In fact, they had some questions to spark conversation, so once you had ordered, the tablet could provide an ice breaker if you wanted. We tried the tickle my carrot, and it was divine. Drinks were great too, but keep in mind that pretty much everything is sweet. I tried the Slip Inside and loved it. My wife had Sex Appeal (she always does) - wine with a sweet rim on the glass - and enjoyed. Overall, Better Than Sex is a must-try destination for drinks and desert in Downtown Plano. Definitely recommend!

I had a great time. The live music that was there the night I went was awesome. They did a great job with my personalized request to write a message on my dessert plate to ask my girlfriend out officially. The staff made sure to serve us well and tailor their service to the brand. They also worked with the florist I found that delivered my bouquet to the table I reserved.

It's an adult-themed dessert restaurant, and they're not shy about it. If you're sensitive to this kind of thing, it may not be your vibe; but, those reading this probably aren't adverse to it. The desserts are full of innuendos, as is the waitstaff's description of them, and it's a fun environment. The desserts themselves were good, sweet, with good flavor combinations, but they aren't great; however, taste is very much subjective. The restaurant is in old downtown, and there have been many improvements to the area since I was last there many years ago that has made it a lively place again. I decided to finally try Better Than Sex Desserts for my birthday, and honestly the name ended up being the most exciting part of the whole night... We walked in expecting a romantic, upscale dessert spot, dim lighting, cozy vibe, maybe some sensual music. Instead… we walked into a full-on mini concert. The server/host was literally singing at the front instead of greeting us. No eye contact, no “hi,” just vocals. We awkwardly stood there for a solid minute like we were waiting for him to finish his set. Finally this guy pauses, looks at us like we interrupted his Grammy audition, and asks if we have a reservation, while the place is empty. I even joked, “Oh, are you sold out?” because at this point I genuinely couldn’t tell what the vibe was supposed to be. He seats us (looking annoyed that we interrupted his solo), disappears, then comes back with some weird monologue about the sexual theme of the restaurant, which would’ve been fine if it wasn’t delivered in the most sarcastic, irritated tone. The whole time he acted like he hated being there. Very dry, very rude, and honestly just killed the "mood". The desserts and drinks? Definitely not worth the hype or the price. Pretty presentation, fake flavors. The names were more exciting than the food itself. And the cherry on top… when some other customers left, we actually heard the servers making fun of them and laughing as soon as the door closed. Super unprofessional, but I guess they assumed no one could hear them. The whole vibe felt less “romantic dessert lounge” and more “ghetto comedy club.” Overall, just a strange and uncomfortable experience. We expected sensual and classy. We got awkward, sarcastic, and not-so-sweet. Wouldn’t recommend, and definitely wouldn’t return.
