So I stopped in here today after a little shopping and I was pleasantly surprised Gigi my server was amazing. She even went so far as to explain the menu because I've never been there before and then bring me like a sample of some of their appetizers that are delicious. I had something from their seasonal menu. The crab sticks absolutely craveable amazing because it was actually crab claws attached to the crab like not no weird imitation crab with soft bread and then the pork chop was absolutely delectable. It was Smokey and sweet with a Thai brussel sprouts. I absolutely 100% recommend them and I even had a mocktail so they look like they have a great. They offer amazing alcoholic drinks if that's what you want. But also you can get a great mocktail that tastes amazing and you don't feel like you're not having a good drink. So definitely you should go and check this place out. It's small inside so you might want to get a reservation if you're going to have a larger amount of people. I was just a table for one
I dont know who has been gate keeping this place - but I am mad for real. The website make it seem upscale but it is not, it is casual. I ABSOLUTELY loved the food. I got Breakfast Pot Pie - it was so good. My friend got the gumbo and she enjoyed it. We shared the grits because both of us are picky about our grits and these were FIRE. We did not get the maple syrup though. We got a caraff of MIMOSAS!!! Only $15 and I had a fabulous Titos Bloody Mary for only $6. FOOD - GREAT, PRICES - AWESOME, ATMOSPHERE - DELIGHTFUL and SERVICE - AMAZING!
First time at Craftway Kitchen and I’m seriously impressed. I tried the spinach salmon salad and it was absolutely delicious perfectly grilled salmon, fresh spinach, and a bold Creole-inspired flavor that was rich, savory, and beautifully balanced. The dish felt elevated yet comforting, with every bite packed with flavor. The Paloma drink was exquisite bright, refreshing, and crafted perfectly. It complemented the meal beautifully. On top of that, the service was professional, friendly, and welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. For a first visit, this was a home run. Flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and definitely a place I’ll be returning to. Highly recommend!
We loved everything about this restaurant. The Chicken Milanese, Cajun pasta, and the burger were all amazing. Caleb was a great server and the team atmosphere was very visible, as many smiling faces delivered food…a beverage…or said hi. We are visiting from Minnesota and going to go back for their brunch before we head out of town. I highly recommend!
Today I celebrated my birthday here at CraftWay Kitchen in Plano with my handsome accommodating me. I was pleased with the hostess knowing our name and greeting us with a warm smile. The atmosphere was nice and the food was good. The servers were professional and very accommodating. The GM came by to greet us and hold a conversation while inviting us back. I plan to return with friends on my next visit.
My friend and I went in for dinner tonight sat in the patio and Victoria waited on us and gave us amazing service. It was our first time there. She was attentive happy and you could tell enjoyed her job.!! Thank you it was a nice breath of fresh air! I will definitely be back.
Blake took care of us and was very attentive. It was our first time and he walked us through the cocktails and the food menu. We got the frozen flight, the chowder, the bone in pork chop, and the salmon BLT and the portions were on point while also having great flavor. We’ll definitely be back to sample other things on the menu. Thanks!
Service is always great, we have eaten here dozens of times. The salmon spinach salad is my absolute favorite. We love that they have weekly specials that rotate. The kitchen sometimes (but rarely) has small issues, but the staff always makes it right. Cocktails are always delicious. Looking forward to dining here again soon.
Had a lovely dinner at CraftWay Kitchen at Lakeside Center on Preston Rd in Plano TX. I had an early reservation for 5:30pm with a friend from Frisco.. I like this location which is less than 20 minute drive for me. I was seated right away.. a quiet booth towards the back.. menus were on the table and our server Brandon was right there with water and brought me my usual Prosecco.. My friend arrived a few minutes later.. She was very specific about her drink order and it arrived exactly as she wanted.. Brandon gave us a few minutes to chat and browse the menu.. I appreciated that he was attentive but not intrusive.. I wanted the jumbo lump crab cake with the Brussel sprouts. And I couldn’t have been more pleased with my order.. the crab cake was just right, loaded with crab, loved it!! Brussel sprouts were absolutely the best I’ve had.. tender but not mushy.. perfectly toasted and the carmelized balsamic…so delicious!! We split the cappuccino pie for dessert.. another treat. Drizzled with dark chocolate.. chilled but easy to share. Cost $40++(Prosecco, entree & 1/2 of the dessert).
What was intially a random pick for dinner, ended up being one of the best experiences I've had in a long time! We ordered Frozen Old fashion, Negroni, chicken sandwich, blue cheese chips, stuffed mushrooms, pasta and the Butternut Squash soup, which was great. the service was even better! I have no words! The food, drinks, atmosphere, customer service was exceptional! Absolutely one of the best places to hang out during the week for casual drinks, great food, and relaxation! Everyone went above and beyond to make our first experience amazing! This is exactly what you look for in a good dining experience. thank you to everyone- the kitchen, the bar, the hostesses, the servers! You guys are the best!! Our go to place from now….
Awesome experience here, went for dinner for 2 on Saturday night and was seated right away. Our server Jaid was super nice and fun, struck the perfect balance between being attentive and not overbearing. The chicken parm dip sandwich was so freaking good, my companion got the shrimp bowl and also really enjoyed it, we also got the stuffed mushrooms and Thai chili brussel sprouts, which were not spicy at all. Lots of other stuff on the menu I would come back to try. I like this is an independently owned restaurant with several locations, just shows it's successful and I believe it because it was really good. There was outdoor seating on the front patio with heaters if you wanted to sit outside, or if it was a nice day. Would recommend coming here!
We have now been here twice. Our first time Kyle was our server and second visit Brandon. Both were excellent servers and had great suggestions and had great attention to detail. Great spot for a date night, my husband has gotten the pork chop both times and it is delicious and a huge portion. I have liked everything I have ordered, the Italian Margarita is different and so yummy. This will continue to be a date night spot for us.
What a great find! We tried CraftWay Kitchen on the recommendation of a fellow foodie friend. The menu didn't feel diverse enough for a family dinner when I was checking it out, but there was enough that swayed me. Once we were seated and saw the seasonal menu, I was sold! We ordered so much, but the plates were ravaged before I could snap pics. My favorites from the starters were the coconut shrimp, reuben egg rolls, and flash fried asparagus. I had to have the butternut squash soup and it was so tasty, but the huge stand out was the Pumpkin Lava Cake with cinnamon ice cream. It was so light and moist, yet decadent and well spiced. I had to ask how long it will be in season, because it will haunt my dreams if I don't get to have it again! My sister-in-law had the chicken parm dip sandwich and loved it. I tried the soup (dip) and it was great! The crab cake was more crab than cake. I would definitely order that again. My wife had the duck breast and really enjoyed it. Now, the service was WONDERFUL. Our server, Andrew, was attentive, helpful, and engaging. He made sure our group was well taken care of, and I never forget a positive service experience. I highly recommend you give this place a visit!
Loved having lunch here. Seated quickly with a party of 2 in their covered patio and Andrew was immediately to our table with water and menus. We chose the crab stuff mushrooms for appetizer which was tender, juicy and delicious, highly recommended. I tried the salmon sandwich with bacon which was an odd combo but seemed to work, probably do with that on the side. Skinny fries were excellent too. Another choice was the chicken parmesian with a huge bowl of dipping sauce which was packed with flavor. Highly recommend checking this spot out as the food,l and service was top notch!
First time visiting a new favorite. Superb service, friendly staff, great food. Stopped by for casual lunch and the place quickly filled up. I got the reuben sandwich and its one of my favorites and first time I got one with slightly smoky pastrami. My friend got the french dip and said it was the best he ever had. Must come back at least another 20 times and work my way though items on the menu.
Five stars rating is not enough stars to express my thoughts and feelings regarding my experience at CraftWay Kitchen in Plano. It was my first experience and what a wonderful experience it was. We were welcomed with smiles and immediately seated. Brandon was our server and he was amazing. Polite and Professional. He recommend excellent things from the menu and even informed us of the current specials. The spinach dips was good, however the pork chops were fantastic. The icing on the cake was the croissant bread pudding. Light warm and not overly sweet. It was one amazing experience. I highly recommend.
This review is long overdue. I tell everyone I know about CraftWay Kitchen - but particularly the Plano location has my heart! The food - immaculate and always consistently good. Bartenders are the bestttt Jade and Jonathan are my favs. I always can count on a solid meal with great service.
fantastic service! fantastic food! my gf has a gluten allergy and they were right on top of it when we asked questions about a dish or two and were able to assist and give us a delicious meal. 1st time there and I went full on the Specials! the Reuben egg roll was life altering for a man who loves a Reuben like it's going out of style! the Candied bacon and chicken Marsala (I think it's called that) were amazing too going back to try the French Onion for sure!
2nd attempt at eating here, and it was definitely worth it. Food was delicious, service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. Minor complaints: 1) - fries do not come with the chicken tenders, you have to order them separately……….why?! Most restaurants always adds the fries with your meal. 2) - they don’t give you enough fries. Sure I chose to get steak fries, which were good, but they didn’t give me enough in that small but cool looking metal container. 3) - prices are a little too high, and the fact that fries were separate also doesn’t help because they didn’t give me that much, and cost an extra $6 instead of being included with my meal. Which just seems like they’re charging me more than usual which in an age of inflation just feels slightly disingenuous. Other than that, I liked this place. I’d definitely recommend eating here, but ask them to cook more fries or, you know, just add them to your meal by default CraftWay. It’s a necessary change that will save you in the long run.
CW has had plenty of reviews, but I wanted to add to that. My husband and I visited as part of the #PlanoFoodies program. I made a reservation via OpenTable because they are downright busy on a Saturday evening! We were greeted (we were on time) and quickly seated. After we ordered our bottle of wine, I asked for recommendations. I was excited because many of them aligned with what I was excited about on the menu. No appetizers for us, but we ordered the Filet and the Grilled Chicken/Fig sandwich (with Goat Cheese). I really wanted the steak fries side, and so many sides sounded great (especially the mac-n-cheese). I settled for the Caesar salad since I wasn't terrible hungry. Mmmmmm. The Filet and mashed potatoes were great. The Chicken/Fig/GoatCheese sandwich was fantastic. The Caesar salad was awesome too! We took some of it home. We ordered Port Wine along with the Brownie (gluten-free) dessert! The port was great, but I have to brag on that GF Brownie!!! You won't believe it's gluten-free! Wow! We talked about how we will be back. We love this area, but the great service and great food! If you are one of the few people like us who have not visited, please do so. Great menu selections!
Finally able to visit and came with a small posse of my favorite coworkers. So lucky to have Peter as our server. He helped us with tie breakers on meals we could not decide between. Peter helped make this first visit for us a memorable one. The food is exceptional. Way beyond our expectations. Give Craft Kitchens a try and do yourself a favor and ask for Peter. You will not be disappointed.
The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Service is outstanding! And the food is chef’s kiss! We started with the calamari, which was lightly breaded, well seasoned and tender, not chewy. The crab stuffed mushrooms were well seasoned and perfectly cooked, as were the complimentary salmon cakes that our server brought us as a welcome to the restaurant. The beef Wellington was melt in your mouth nirvana, and the star of the show. The mashed potatoes were good, and the Mac and cheese was decent, but do not hesitate to order the Wellington! We got it rare and if I ever get the chance to patronize again, would reorder in a heartbeat!
I recently dined at Craftway Kitchen and loved it. The salmon BLT was outstanding fresh flavors and perfectly balanced. The Brussels sprouts were also a standout, not crisp but very flavorful. Blue Cheese chips are a great starter. The neighborhood vibe is cool and relaxed. I appreciated the restaurant’s creative twists on traditional dishes.
It was not a good first visit. Place was very crowded, so it must be better than our experience. The place is very loud. Service was slow and spotty. My food (meatloaf) was burned and the potatoes were lukewarm. Hubby liked his beef Wellington. Problem brought to attention of manager and amends were more than adequately made. Will wait a month or two to go back.
This is a hard review to write. We’ve been going to CraftWay for a while. It seems at one time they always had something to please anyone in our group. I’m not sure that’s the case anymore. Tonight we started with the spinach dip, it was very good. My spouse ordered Blackened Redfish with brussel sprouts. The fish was dry and, although blackened, lacking in flavor. The brussel sprouts were very, very sweet. I had the maple glazed pork chop w/sweet potato fries. The pork chops were cooked properly and the portion was large but they too were very sweet. They were so sweet I could only eat one of the two on the plate. The order itself initially came out incorrect, I was served plain potato fries rather than sweet potato fries….it happens. When the sweet potato fries came out they were either very old or undercooked. They were limp. It’s a shame, my wife used to rave about how good the sweet potato fries at CraftWay were. We finished with blueberry crumble cobbler. We’ve ordered it almost every time we’ve come that it’s been available. It’s always been something to come back for. Tonight I think they forgot the crumble and tried to cover the lack thereof with extra ice cream. When it was served I smiled and said to my wife, “Wow, that’s a lot of ice cream”. Shortly afterwards it was clear there was probably 2 tablespoons of crumble. It didn’t look correct when it was served and it wasn’t. Will we be back? Maybe, not anytime soon. They used to have home smoked salmon on the menu. Perhaps if it returns we’ll try again.
