The Old Fashioned drinks were excellent. They had a huge party of maybe a dozen people or even more at the same time as our arrival. I believe that slowed our service, so I gave a 4 star for service, but overall, we thought this experience deserved a 5 star review due to the entrees. I highly recommend the Pasta al Lemone, it is outstanding with the fresh lemon zest in the sauce. Squisito!
This afternoon my wife and I tried a new Italian restaurant in West Plano, DeEva Kitchen. We were thoroughly delighted! The ambiance is relaxing and beautiful yet also so elegant. DeEva had the most comfortable seats of any restaurant we have ever visited. Now for the food. My wife started with a side salad that came with a delicious, zesty dressing. Her main entree was chicken piccata. My wife is a chicken piccata devotee and said this one was superb! The tender chicken was complimented by a delicious lemon-butter, caper sauce. The sauce also lay below the penne pasta that was light and flavorful not the heavy, chewy pasta you might find elsewhere. I had the cioppino. I'm a cioppino connoisseur and the one I make is the best, in my humble opinion. Still, the one I had for lunch today was incredibly savory. While I prefer a tomato based sauce, this one was a seafood-infused clearer broth. and boy did they throw on the seafood! They had clams, shrimp, scallops, and mussels--more than you'd find in any cioppino elsewhere in Dallas. The seafood was perfectly cooked, too. My only suggestion to the chef would be less salt in the broth otherwise, what an incredible meal. We arrived early and had no problem getting a seat even on Friday. You can make an Open Table reservation because it can get crowded. There are tables inside both upstairs and down as well as a relaxing and attractive area outside. The outdoors seating would be a wonderful place to dine during those five days a year when the North Texas weather would permit outside dining! There is a beautiful mural or is it a fresco, this is an Italian eatery, just below the ceiling level that is well worth seeing. Lots of angels and horses that would even delight Michelangelo. Eva the owner was charming and welcoming. Plenty of parking outside, too. My wife and I will be back next week to savor some more of their Italian delights. Mmm che buono!
Such a delight to be here on a weeknight. It was quiet and feels personal. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and quite spacious. Has both indoor dining and patio seating. Ordered garlic shrimps for appetizer. They were generous with the portions. It’s enough for 3 people. Shrimps were fresh and not overcooked. The garlic oil the shrimps are in were oozing with flavors. Their main courses’s portions are enough for 2. We had Chipiano/ seafood stew and veal marsala pasta. Seafood in the stew included scallops, shrimps, mussels and clamps and jam packed with the notes of white wine herbs. Veal marsala pasta’s wine reduction sauce was exquisite and full of many subtle notes of spices blended together. Their Peroni beer on tap is crisp and refreshing, worth trying!
If you are in the area, and want to eat Italian food, please don’t hesitate to come here, you won’t be disappointed. The people here is so nice, and their prices are the best, the also have a big variety of lunch specials that you’ll love. And the place is also a plus, the interior design makes you feel like you’re in a fancy place, and yes, just because everything is good, it’s fancy for me. Don’t miss the opportunity. These pictures are taken with a 10$ lasagna plate. My favorite one is the Chicken Parmesan.
We had the opportunity of eating at the wonderful establishment last evening and I was instantly impressed by the decor when we walked in the door. This was accented by the beautifully painted frescoes on a large wall surrounding the seating area. The vibe is current and classic at the same time. I was immediately greeted upon entering by a gracious host that took care of us the complete evening and his service was beyond great - he explained every item asked about on the menu thoroughly, even giving his personal favorites which lead us in some of our decisions. Our first main choice of the evening was Chicken and Shrimp Dama Bianca which came out beatifully fresh mushrooms, green onions, sun dried tomatoes in brandy cream sauce. Our second main choice was Saltimbocca which was Sautéed veal scaloppini, prosciutto and sage in white wine, butter sauce. What made this dish extra special was that little hint of lemon you could taste on the back of you pallet as you were eating the veal. To finish the night we couldn't make up our minds between the Tiramisu and the Italian Cream Cake so we ordered both - they were both absolutely fabulous !!! To top off the night the Owner of the Restaurant walked over to our table during dessert and sat in front of us two drinks of Limoncello "On the House" - said we needed those to have for dessert as well !! We have just found a "New Italian Restaurant Home in Plano" !!!!
I saw the menu and was excited for the "no lettuce" salad (honestly that's why I wanted to visit in the first place). It did not disappoint and I can't wait to go back to try other things on the menu. We got calamari as an app, chicken and sausage pasta, the salad, an old fashion and a beer. The sauces with the calamari were on point (a marinara and garlic aoili). I usually only like my own homemade marinara but this might be better. It was seasoned and well balanced. The pasta was perfectly cooked, my salad was fresh and the old fashioned was different but still good. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The quality for the price was great! We'll definitely be back!
This place is incredible— from the food, to the drinks, to the staff and atmosphere. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would, without hesitation. The owners are so kind and welcoming, and their personalities are vibrant, and infectious. This place deserves lines out the door, because you can clearly see, taste and smell their passion for food and craft cocktails. Their unique take on classic cocktails filled with rich and vibrant flavors is a refreshing change from most places I’ve been in the past. As for the food, every item on the menu from the appetizers and pastas, to the main dishes and desserts are carefully prepared and crafted to perfection. The prices are unbelievably affordable, and their portions are large so you’re always getting what you paid for— and more. The atmosphere is soft, the music is quiet and the entire building is clean and inviting. I can’t wait to see how far this place goes, and always look forward to the next meal I get to have here. Love it!!
First time here was amazing! Came around 2-3 and had basically the whole place to ourselves. The restaurant is so beautiful and such a great spot for an intimate dinner. Food tasted so delicious and fresh, definitely not like Olive Garden, and my martini was soo yummy. I ordered the pesto genovese pasta and can’t remember the name of my drink but it had passion fruit! Perfect if you love a sweet drink. The staff was very kind and gave great service. Highly recommend this place and hope to come back soon!
If you are looking for delicious Italian food at an aesthetically pleasing venue, look no further. This was my first time dining here, and I was eager to give it a try since the restaurant has just reopened following renovations. The interior of the restaurant is very well decorated and laid out. (I included 2 photos) When our drinks were delivered, our waitress brought out complimentary garlic bread with a plate of balsamic & EVOO. The bread was not only pretty in presentation, it tastes great as well. For our entrees, we ordered the “Traditional Lasagna” and “Pesto Genovese & Chicken”. They were both amazing dishes served in generous portions. It was especially nice given the price point. Our meal concluded with the owner giving us each chilled Lemoncello palate cleanser. The owner and staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning. Update: We returned to DeEva for dinner and were very pleased. The bread was good last time, but this time it was phenomenal. We ended up ordering the same entrees we had gotten on our previous visit, and they did not disappoint. The food is so good and the portions are huge. The service on this visit was excellent and the owner allowed us to try their new Chocolate Mousse Cake that they are considering adding to the menu. It was incredible. The mousse to cake ratio was perfect. It was moist, airy, and rich (but not overly so). The dessert had an excellent presentation and again, this was a 5 star visit!
We went to DeEva Kitchen for dinner and drinks with our friends after work. It was our first time there and we loved it! Our waitress was amazing! It took a little while for the cheese board to come out and it was worth the wait! We all ordered entrees (mostly pasta dishes and one pizza) and it was all very good! We will be coming back! Especially for Wednesday All Day Happy Hour!!
We hosted a lovely 5th birthday party for our daughter here. The guests loved the food and the atmosphere. A beautiful restaurant!
De Eva Kitchen and Bar (used to be called Mio, where we've been countless of times). They give u rolls right after you are seated and at the end of your meal they will give you Limoncello!!! I’ve never been to any Italian restaurants (not even when we visited Italy) offering limoncello after our meal! The new renovated look is really great, elegant, and modern. We had a great service and delicious meal! Tiramisu was yummy! Now I want to try their Tiramisu in a glass cocktail! Give this place a try!
Great ambiance, great food. Eva was great and super nice. Only negative thing I can say is wine drinks were very small pours. 😉
An atmosphere soothing to the senses, incredible Italian dishes, and a cocktail menu that's both classic and original -- this is now my favorite restaurant to get away from the modern hustle. The lighting is calming, the music interesting without distracting, and every detail feels both comfortable and luxurious.
Do not sleep on this! The previous owner was not impressive but the new ones have given this a fabulous vibe, authentic recipes and fresh ingredients. I'm sorry I devoured the burrata and pasta before the picture. Everything was great! Wednesday all day happy hour is icing on the cake. Order extra said on the carbonarra. It's fabulous, just a little dry. Going back weekly!
Stopped in for lunch today and we were impressed! The restaurant was clean and beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Our waitress was sweet and kind. We will definitely return.
I should have taken more photos cause the atmosphere is amazing! We tried several of the cocktails and every one was great! The one in my photo is the liquid Tiramisu. While we only came for drinks this time, we did try it the charcuterie board which was excellent as well. We'll definitely be back for more soon!
It is delicious, great service and it’s a good place for get togethers.
Absolutely recommend and LOVE this restaurant! Have you ever walked into a new place but felt like you were destined to be there? I felt it! I dined in with friends and we had the best service as we devoured our incredible Italian dishes nestled in a modern setting with the perfect ambiance for a Saturday evening. My highlight was the gracious visit and grateful welcome by the owner, Eva. I love finding the “hidden gems” in Dallas and I cannot wait to return. Thank you for a memorable first visit and making me feel as special as your restaurant!
This is a delicious family-owned restaurant that takes great pride in their food. The dishes are always fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Their cocktails are some of my favorites — perfectly crafted and consistently excellent. Highly recommend!
It was our first time dining at DeEva. The food and drinks were fantastic. The decor in the restaurant was lovely. The owners Dennis and Eva have created a beautiful and inviting restaurant. We ordered the calamari, lasagna, lamb osso boco, salmon cobb, and saltimbocca. All of us loved our dishes. The drinks were equally delightful. We ordered the "pornstar martini" and "that lady". To finish dinner, we shared a tiramisu, which was a perfect end to our meal.
Had the lunch calzone with pepperoni. What a treat! The tender Crispy exterior crackled as I pierced it with my fork. It was golden and cooked to perfection! The mozzarella and ricotta cheeses are excellent, creamy and buttery oozing out as it waited for my next bite. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. What a jewel this place is!
Loved the place and food! They customized everything. The drinks were amazing and Eva was a great hostess! Would definitely go back again.
My husband and I have been to DeEva 3 three times now and absolutely love it!! Their prices are quite reasonable especially considering the serving size and quality on top of the beautiful ambiance that is both sophisticated and relaxing. Excellent Italian food that is so much more than just pizza and pasta- although, those are excellent, as well! The service is top-notch…the owners are so incredibly friendly and accommodating- they’re just lovely. And the staff also goes above and beyond. This is a hidden gem that I hope more locals discover to help it not stay so hidden. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner!!
I've been coming to this location since around 2005! The new remodel looks beautiful and contemporary. The food is amazing as always. I highly recommend this spot if you want to sit down for a nice meal or delivery grab something for delivery if you're busy. Galina, our waitress today, was amazing. Very friendly and attentive. We will be back soon
Incredible service!! My boyfriend and I came here and the atmosphere is gorgeous. We got the stuffed mushrooms and lobster ravioli and it was soooo delicious! Our server, Em, was so personable and sweet. Will return just to see her <3
Outstanding Italian! The food is absolutely unparalleled in it's freshness, taste and presentation. We stopped in after not being satisfied with another restaurant in the area and we thought this looked good. When we arrived, a couple leaving was raving about how great it was, and they were not kidding. DeEva is our new favorite. We'll gladly drive from Allen for this. Eva and Eddie even remembered us from our first visit. Can't wait to go back again.
I really don't know why there aren't more people in this restaurant. The atmosphere is very luxurious and romantic at the same time. I have eaten here five or six times and the food has always been excellent. The prices are reasonable. The service is attentive. And the best part is, they don't have forty TV's blaring in your face. Nice and quiet and pleasant. They have a secluded private upstairs area for larger groups.
Parmesan truffle fries were very good. The service was impeccable. I really love the atmosphere and the décor. I also had the salmon cobb salad, which was very delicious.
We hosted a ladies luncheon Oct 2nd for 50 people and everything from the service to food to atmosphere was fantastic. Our women's club was very impressed all around. So many said they'll definitely visit again. Thank you Eva & Denis from the North Dallas Newcomers for a great afternoon!
I love this place! The food is well prepared, the atmosphere is wonderful and the service prompt. They make you feel right at home! Ask them for suggestions from the menu if you're not sure what you want. I highly recommend their lunch specials during the week. Very good price and the food is excellent!
This is the spot to go for real authentic Italian food. We met the owners absolute salt of the earth people that welcome you as if your family. The ambiance is so on point its open and modern Italian yet intimate enough for you to have a wonderful evening with your partner. We have been there 3 times with friends and have not heard one person say they didnt love their meal. The bar staff is on point as well making some of the best drinks we have had...wife's favorite 2 are the lemon cello and the tarimasu in a glass...Stop in and support these wonderful people!
Great live music tonight! The caprese martini is the best I have ever had. so unique and flavorful. Will be coming back for the short rib!!
Fantastic food. The owners are delightful and run the restaurant with smiles on their face. The truffle fries and Garlic shrimp are myfavorite appetizers. I have tried all their seafood dishes which are amazing! The Linguini frutti di mare and blackened scallops are my favorites. Dennis and Eva make great drinks too.
Went for lunch. Had bruschetta before meal. Was outstanding! I had a meatball and pasta dish and my daughter had sausage and Peppers. Best she has ever had. My grandson had a 10” cheese pizza and it was all eaten! Prices reasonable, wait staff was wonderful and the food exquisite. Do not miss out on this hidden gem in Plano.
Met friends here to celebrate birthdays. Great, attentive service. Perfect atmosphere - beautiful decor & quiet enough so we could hear each other! The owner checked on us. Wonderful food: we recommend the Bruschetta Caprese, fried calamari, truffle fries, lobster raviolli, salmon; best Alfredo sauce ever, homemade bread was outstanding! Good wine list! We'll be back!!
When we entered, we were greeted by whom I will assume is the owner, and she is very cordial and offered us a table and gave us a menu to look at! Upon looking around, we agreed, the atmosphere here is wonderful, cheerful and bright, good music Yet not so loud you cannot have a conversation! And so we were asked if we wanted to have some rolls and oil, herbs, and balsamic vinaigrette, and it was served so nicely and the rolls are delicious. And as you eat them, they unroll so you can dip it in the oil and vinegar with herbs, tasty! Nice big fluffy rolls! And then we started our meal with two house, salads, and the house dressing, which we highly recommend is very tasty, it’s a red wine vinaigrette That they must make here because it’s very tasty and as we kept reading the menu and place our orders we had one order of Farfalle ala Limone with capers and lemon zest in lemon, piccata sauce, delicious! I ordered the lasagna, the traditional lasagna, and it was absolutely delicious, they’re definitely not afraid of making lasagna and it was tasty! And as you look around you see this really neat decoration and it’s unusual and curved as a restaurant and not only the wall sculpture when you walk in but all the textures on the walls and everything behind the bar, which is a good size bar, and they have plenty of different wines and lots of seating. That’s very comfortable with a private area upstairs it’s quite intriguing! when you look, you’ll see that there’s this large mural that you can see from practically everywhere in the restaurant! All the food is very good, we both are taking some home, we wanted to leave space for the tiramisu that we heard was really good! It is! It is very good, very much a tiramisu! We both enjoyed eating it and the coffee flavor was very tasty and the presentation is very good for all of the dishes from the bread to the salads to the main course and to the dessert. It’s all very good with fresh ground Parmesan and red pepper plates if you Desire, which we do! But I did eat the lasagna begin with, and the other dish without changing its original flavor because I wanted to see how tasty it is and I was not let down and neither was she! It’s a very good place to come to because the service was really spectacular! Neither of us drink, but we did look over the drink menu, Since we’ve been known to have a drink here and there, it’s a very good drink menu as well. You will not be disappointed. There’s plenty of parking. It seems like everything’s just right for this restaurant! You must come and taste it for yourself you must come in experience for yourself and I’m positive that you’ll have a similar reaction to how nice it is to be here! Bon appétit! I don’t know how to say that in Italian or would! I will add photos as I can because I have numerous ones to even include a very clean restroom lavatory that was exciting to see, and I will figure out how to get the photos on here because it doesn’t have an ad photos section, but you will see them!
We were treated to a very lovely Father's Day supper here. Love, love, love the interior. The mural is amazing. Special seating upstairs. The experience was lovely. Two of us had the chicken parmesan, it was served hot, and crispy. Very Yummy!!! Favorable! My daughter had the chicken Marsala and my husband had a fish dish. Service was super friendly, light and fun. Highly recommend. Plano has some great restaurants!
We celebrated a special day at DeEva. The venue was tastefully decorated and spacious. The service was excellent, and the food was mostly good, with a few dishes falling short of expectations. I highly recommend the Bruschetta caprese, chicken Marsala, Chicken And Shrimp Dama Bianca, and Chicken Parmigiana. However, the shrimp scampi and red snapper were bland and overly lemon-flavored.
DeEva Kitchen & Bar is a stylish spot in Plano. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, though the restaurant temperature felt a bit warm. The food was good, but the portions were on the smaller side. Service could also be a bit more attentive. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for something fresh and elevated in the area.
Edit: The restaurant got in touch with me about my negative experience, and personally delivered a better pasta dish and a complimentary slice of cake, which was delicious. The great customer service led me to bump my review up from 2 to 4 stars! Original Review: I ordered the Capelli Pomodori, and the quality was quite poor. The dish was extremely bland, and the pasta was overcooked to the point where every bite felt like mush. I tried getting past that, but after a few bites, I just couldn’t eat it. The only reason why I gave it more than a 1 star is because of the sizeable complimentary bread roll it came with. I was a really disappointed because the restaurant reviews seemed promising, so I’m sure there are better dishes than the one I got. If you decide to give this place a try, just don’t order what I had.
The restaurant has a very elegant and classy vibe without feeling stuffy. In addition to the main dining area there's a second intimate dining area upstairs. The menu has a variety of well known options that all sound appetizing so you're sure to find something to your liking. ▫️Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic shrimp) ⭐ ▫️Short Ribs Bourguignon ▫️Tiramisu (not pictured) ⭐ My server was very attentive and took good care of me.
Cool vibe, energetic staff and quality food at low prices. Good portions, reasonable wine and beer prices and a full bar. What's not to like? Definitely a must try.
My husband and I had dinner at DeEva last night. Someone had recommended it on the NextDoor app. Their signature cocktail Negroni Sbaglotti was a fresh take on an Aperol Spritz. It was really good. I thought the portion sizes were appropriate and the prices affordable. Please try this restaurant. Eva (as in De Eva) owns the restaurant with her husband. I like to support local owned restaurants and small businesses.
My 3 star rating is due to service and not due to the food quality. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad via a food app from work. It came on time. The taste of the food was great. The chicken was cooked properly. They gave me a GENEROUS portion of salad dressing. I specifically asked for no croutons. I'm just not a fan. It came with croutons. Not a huge deal. I picked them off. But I had to dong their service because of it. I will eat here again.
Poorly executed food, which had no flavor, the fish was extremely rancid/fishy tasting like it was old and frozen. The sauces for the pesto pasta was absolutely bland with barely any flavor. The carbonara was average, atleast it was seasoned properly. Truffle fries were again missing the truffle. The wonderful ambience is betrayed by sub par food. The fact that we were the only ones on a beautiful saturday afternoon should have been the classic telltale sign of dissapointment around the corner.
We had hopes to have a close to home Italian go to spot. Sadly we were disappointed. My boyfriend got the house cab and it tasted like it had been open for a while. (The place was pretty empty so no clue how long it would take them to get through a bottle.) The house bread was homemade and we enjoyed it. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp that was supposed to be in a brandy cream sauce. It tasted like a normal Alfredo - nothing special and no sights of brandy. I ordered the blackened scallop Alfredo. It tasted like jarred Alfredo and had 6 baby scallops. The scallops were cooked well but the dish was lacking. I would’ve appreciated some fresh parsley and maybe some lemon to give it some sort of flavor depth. Our server was very sweet and attentive but we won’t be back.
Service and atmosphere deserve 5 stars for sure. I mean the place is just so pretty and the servers are so very nice. We got a charcuterie board which was amazing. However, the pastas were horrible. My friend got carbonara and I got the lemon piccata. The pasta was watery and had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. We had to make use of the salt and pepper at our table. Also added the cheese and chilli flakes in it to give it some flavor because we were struggling to eat it. If we weren’t super hungry we probably would have stopped eating sooner
Ordered through lunchdrop and there was hair in my salad. Ordered lunch lasagna and the salad. Threw all the food away.
This was a pickup order. I ordered the Chicken Marsala. I have never had Chicken Marsala that was charcoal grilled and I did not care for it at all. It was dry and chewy and not much flavor. There was barely a hint of Marsala wine. The rolls were as hard as a rock and inedible. As much as I love Chicken Marsala this was such a disappointment. I do not like leaving bad reviews, but have to be honest about my experience. Hopefully, this will be an opportunity for improvement.
