If you are getting tenders, the best there are at a fast food chicken place. Love the wide variety of side items. Also love the sweet tea. The rolls are a pleasant switch from the standard biscuit and the spicy serendipity finishes off the tenders.

I eat there about two times a week. The food is always hot and the service is really good. I particularly like the $5.50 lunch special (3 pieces dark, a side and a soft drink). Their yeast rolls are particularly delicious. Occasionally an employee walks around and refills your soft drink. The place is clean and inviting. It's also near a Krogers, Walgreens, car wash and two banks, so after eating, I can do errands close by.

I promise you this is the best Chicken Express there is in Texas.. I order the 8pc catfish, fries, hush puppies mash potatoes and dinner rolls and the manager was so nice to throw in something extra. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty the catfish and mash potatoes is season like homestyle and hot fries with soft dinner rolls I promise that you can’t go wrong here, yum....

I walked in and ordered for all my nursing staff. I know I should've called my order in and scheduled it, *but* it was a last minute idea to treat everyone. Soooo...I apologetically placed my order for 10+ people. They were SO KIND!! And accommodated my order without hesitation. *AND* every part of the large order was present and PERFECT! Ordered my first foodsby with Chicken Express. Food was delivered hot and fresh. The manager is very kind and customer service is fantastic. Their chicken tenders are better than Raising Cane's and chicken gizzards are must have for extra crispy with hint of chewiness :)

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff in-store on the evening of February 23 (which henceforth shall be known as The Day Dallas Decided To Quit.) It was freezing, the roads were icy, and everything around was closed. We didn't have any food, so we ventured out to find something open. And let me say - I've never experienced such happy and helpful service from a fast food restaurant WITHOUT sleet and snow and dead of night. Everyone seemed genuinely pleased that we came in, and were excited to help us with everything start to finish. I honestly don't think I paid enough money for how happy they seemed to be there. I felt guilty for going out. I know *I* would rather not be at work. But they didn't make it an issue at all, and I'm so appreciative of that. The manager on duty was friendly and provided excellent service, for which I'm very grateful. 10/10 - we will be back. :)

Amazing service, I haven't experienced better service from a fast food restaurant then here. Plus this is my new favorite place for their sweet tea, rolls, and chicken. This is the best chicken express I've been to yet. I ordered some tenders, mashed potatoes, green beans and fried pickles and it all tasted great.

Fried Chicken after church is a staple. We came to this side of town to visit a friend. I ordered the 4pc chicken tenders and coleslaw. My wife ordered a liver plate with string beans plus a a fried apple pie. Our meal was delicious and quickly served. I have been doing drive through at this spot for an year and I can attest to the fact that this is the best Chicken express I have been to. Staff at drive through and front desk are always humble and smiling. And the food qualoty is good. Deep fried stuff tastes good and much better than other fast food places selling friend chicken.

Fast when busy. Friday night at 6 pm in the drive thru I was waiting only a few minutes. Great deal. When you order 4 chicken tenders here, it is like 6 anywhere else. Carhops and drive up ordering bays are available. Personal service. No passing your payment or food through a window, they come out to your car. Great corn nuggets too! I like everything about this location. It is run well. Drive past other chicken places to get to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

I love everything at Chicken Express. The chicken is amazing and my kids love the tenders. We even like the fish. There are many sides to choose from and something for everyone. The staff was extremely nice and patient with me as I had a big order the last time I went there.

I don't eat a lot of fast food, but Chicken Express has some really tasty options for an occasional fried treat. At this location, the food is always fast and fresh, and the customer service is excellent!! The store manager really really cares about the customers, which is evident in the way he and his team run the floor.

I love this chicken express. The place is clean. Even the restrooms. The staff is above and beyond pleasant. The manager? (Man) is always there asking how everything is and making his staff laugh. One of the best Chicken Express in DFW!!! I have visited many, but this one always, always,always deliver fresh chicken, fritters, okra, and assortment. Even the rolls are fresh!! I can't sat that for any other Chicken Express!! Never had one complaint about the food or service!!! As for myself, I don't leave reviews unless its deserved, either way!! Kudos to you all after discovering you all from 2018!!

Very quiet but very clean. The cashier is very nice and everything is well kept. The chicken fingers were a good portion. We love the fries and how salty and squishy they are!

Boy, I had a great experience, so any bad reviews are puzzling to me. I ordered a three piece dark combo with a biscuit, three thighs, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, a diet Dr. Pepper, and a cherry pie. Everything really hit the spot! The chicken was juicy and large, the sides were terrific, the pie was crisp, and the drink had the right amount of bubbles. The drive-thru attendant was super professional and kind. He didn’t like the way one of the thighs looked and didn’t want to sell it. He asked if I would accept another piece other than a thigh, so I opted for a leg. That is the type of customer service that keeps people returning!!!

I just left the restaurant and was served by someone who I think was the manager. He was so kind that he served me gratuitously because they didn't sell what I thought they did. I wasn't looking for that level of kindness, but he was a blessing to me today! Thank you again sir 😃

I usually don’t leave reviews from simple drive-thru experiences, but I have been coming to this location every now and then for about a year or so now and the only reason I stick to this place is I know I will get the absolute best customer service from Joe. Regardless of how fresh the food is (95% of the time it is) he is always the one to take and hand me my order, always greets me with a smile on his face and always puts a smile on mine. That man sets the golden standard for customer service. I have to give that credit where it is due and I hope his employer does too.

I stopped by this location often to grab dinner on my way home I'm a single male it's an easy pickup. Tonight there is a lady who is running the drive-thru. Normally it's older males. I have to tell you that at first I didn't feel like anything was out of the ordinary. However this woman ran every portion of this order she got everything she got the drink she did my credit card everything I was extremely impressed with how hard she was working. She gave me my order which was packed as only a woman could do with napkins inside because men don't think of these kind of things. And I drove off from the drive-thru and then my windows rolled down I hear someone yelling for me. Sure enough she hadn't handed me back my credit card and this poor woman who I know was extremely tired from working her normal shift literally sprints down the drive-thru to hand me my credit card to make sure that I had it back most guys probably would have said well he'll probably come back later. I was blown away by the professionalism by the fact that the woman still gave me a smile after sprinting down the drive-thru just to hand me my credit card. if this poor woman doesn't already have a manager's position in the company it definitely should make her one. And please understand I will definitely come back to this restaurant because of the fact that you guys always get my order right you guys are always really nice to me and in this case somebody went that extra mile so I want to say thank you very much this very nice lady who has probably had one heck of a long day and deserves to go home and put her feet up. Never has ordering been easier than from this man. Wait can sometimes be a bit long, but you're leaving with a hot bag of food, so I can't complain. Great service!

Maybe I was hungry or maybe I just enjoyed my order of chicken that much. I think it took me back to when fast food chicken was good. If you are just craving some fried chicken and don't want to break the bank this can be your go to spot.

I really like Chicken E. The chicken is second to none (except for Babe's). Sides are much better than KFC and selection is better too. Catfish is also excellent but only if it is fresh. Some locations don't cook it until you order it. Really neat feature: with chicken tenders you always get one extra. If you order 3, you will get 4! This location is great for lunch. I have never found a line longer than a couple of people.

I go here for their chicken tenders and cream gravy. It's awesome. Also had fried okra, green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. Their hot rolls melt in your mouth. 😃👍

This location has been here many years and the service is mostly quick and good. Recently got the Tuesday $2 kid meal special. Every thing was great except biscuits we're hard and dry. Sprinkled a little water on them and revived in oven.

What can you say about chicken nowadays. Everything taste like chicken except for chicken McNuggets. I had a coupon and the meal was good. I do admit that Chicken Express has good flavor but the french fries are soggy and always have been every time I order french fries. I can't figure out what's with that?

Food is always good. Service is usually pretty good, sometimes a little slow, but nothing to make a fuss about. Almost always get the orders right. Would like to see them open the inside fairly soon, at least for pickups. Some locations have call in service for pickup, this one apparently doesn't for some reason.

We were trying order enough chicken strip & regular fried chicken with fries. The man who took our order through the drive thru suggested a meal deal which was only $1 more than what we ordering & included 2 family sides rather than the one we were ordering. Very much appreciated it!!! Maybe next time, have the strips cooked a little bit more, just my personal opinion.

I've had more stale rolls here than fresh ones, so I can't give this place a perfect review. However, all the rest of their food is always good, their corn nuggets are fantastic, and their sweet tea is always good unlike some other locations. Just don't buy a dozen rolls like I did and you'll be happy.

The chicken is reliably good - not too dry or greasy, but my they continually get my girlfriend's order wrong (Half spicy, half regular tenders). I guess I'll check next time. In my opinion, it's better to get a big family meal than the individual meals, especially if you're protein-oriented like I am.

Been through this drive-through a couple of times, now, and I'll definitely be back a third time even though it's not perfect. Fast food restaurants rarely are. One of my order takers was a little on the rough side...he delivered the order accurately, but without a lot of friendliness. On the second visit, the woman who took the order was great...no complaints. I go out of my way to get to Chicken Express. Even though I have a couple of Golden Chicks that are super convenient, I find "Chicken E" to be far more consistent and superior. I like the ability to sub the drink in a meal for an extra side, as I usually prefer to drink water, anyway. Interesting thing about this location...I think it may be converted from an old Sonic restaurant, as there's a row of drive-up stations along one side. They didn't appear to be in use, though. Oh, and try going half and half (Spicy/regular) on the chicken tenders meal!

Usually the overall experience here is great, but the past few times we’ve ordered from this location the person at window (for the drive thru area) has a habit of placing an excess amount of ice into the drinks (and it’s always the same person). Today when we ordered we made sure to say that we wanted regular ice in our drinks, but the person making the drinks placed ice all the way to the top on one of our drinks while the other drink also had a lot of ice as well (but not to the extent as the first drink). Hopefully this can get fixed soon because this location overall has always provided good service, it’s just this tidbit that could use some improvement.

Had the cat fish. I liked my food. Daughter had the hot wings. She did not like them. They were too breaded for her taste. But overall good place.

Staff seemed a bit unorganized. Took my order but kept interrupting and ended up getting it wrong because they wouldn't listen to me. Didn't tell me my total at the order screen, and then didn't tell me my order at the window. I had to ask him to tell me how much it was just to make sure they weren't charging me the wrong thing. Then they didn't even give me straws for my drink. Food is great tho.

We arrived for a late supper, but they were still scheduled to be open for two more hours. We ordered a catfish meal and a chicken meal. Previously we have enjoyed both. I don't know why, but catfish was spicy hot to the point that neither of us finished that one. The fried chicken was temperature hot from being freshly cooked. The corn nuggets were wonderful as usual. I was surprised that the crew did not act very friendly towards us since the crew at the Hebron location have always been jovial.

Chicken was average. Pick up line very slow. Bread was delicious.

They must have hearing issues because I repeated myself multiple times and what I order was still wrong. Nothing drastic, but I told the girl at the window and she acted like she couldn't hear. Also she just allowed my card to drop instead of making sure it made it to my hand and was beckoning the next car to come while I was getting it. First and last time at this location. I work in food service myself so I know how it is, but come on. I even patiently waited for a good 7 minutes for them to take my order while a line formed behind me.

It has been a while since I ordered food from here. I haven't been impressed in the past, but I do have a positive opinion of this place largely due to the sweet tea. Chicken Express has some of the best sweet tea for a restaurant in the south, and the prices for a huge cup or a gallon are great.

(NEW REVIEW, AS OF 6/30/21, because you can only have one review at a time on google) So, I tried them again after several months without, everything else has improved slightly, chicken is always good, that isn't the issue. The issue is inaccuracies with my order....again. Less so, but whatever. I ordered a #2 spicy with a biscuit, fries, fried pickles, and a second, extra gravy, of which understandably costs extra, as well as a 2 piece fish meal for my father. His meal came out fine, but mine came with a roll instead of a biscuit, and only one gravy container. You get one extra star because less things are wrong than before, but your own receipt ticket says it should have a biscuit and an extra gravy, which I did not get....Like, if you are out of something, you should tell customers ahead of time when they order, instead of leaving them annoyed after when they get home... And especially, please include items that are charged extra for, don't just take their money and not give them the item. It ain't much, some 50 cents, but like, you should still include it, especially when it is on your receipt showing it was charged. Their food is good, but it would be better if I could please get all of what I ordered, or a reason why a substitution has to be made. (PAST REVIEW, PREVIOUSLY 2 STARS) Came in today, not too terribly long ago from posting this review. For me, I got the #1 spicy with no drink/two small sides option, of French fries and fried pickles. And for my father at home, he wanted either a sandwich if they had it, or just the same thing I got, not spicy, with mashed potatoes and an unsweet tea. The person at the mic had repeated it back, it sounded good, #1 spicy, pickles and fries, no drink, and a #1 reg, mashed potatoes and gravy. Cool. What I received was a #1 with no French fries at all...but 5 pieces of chicken? And no drink... Also was charged for the family side of fried pickles, that I did not order a family side of... The other order seemed fine. Didn't get to check much after my father took it. But when I got a look at mine, well...oh well, had to just deal with it, so he could eat and then go to work today. Used to deeply enjoy eating from here, since it's close by and delicious, but something seems off or different recently, and service accuracy is declining all of a sudden. Some weird new management? A new staff snafu? Guess I'll just go to Henderson's Chicken or Louisiana Famous for a while instead. I know they're good.

Food here is great!!!! However, your drive thru mic was turned up so loud and I could barely understand what they were saying because the speaker sounded muffled. Please don't speak so loud into the mic.

The first time I tried Chicken Express was about a month ago and it was very good. It was good, hot comfort food while taking a quick break from traveling down the Texas Highways. The young lady at the counter was friendly and pleasant. This location was a little different. I can't pinpoint what exactly was different but the food was a mere okay. I'll give it another go in the future.

I purchased #3 3pieces of chicken. I asked for fries, received fried okra. It's to early in the morning for the okra was cold and hard. The chicken wasn't fresh old and hard. You guys need clean your soda machine. The coke tasted watery and no favor. A waste of my money.

First let me start off by saying food is always a 10/10 …hot and fresh I absolutely love that for them . On the other hand the customer service is terrible and it’s always the same lady . Short chubby Hispanic , she has a nasty attitude literally every time I visit .

Pretty disappointed, order # 368. I ordered my normal meal with those glorious corn nuggets and a half and half tea. When i got home there were no beautiful little corn fritters. Tried calling the store 3x to no avail, the phone just kept ringing and ringing. If u come to this store u might want to open the box before u tske off. If u dont and it is wrong do not waste yout time calling. Going to Cane's next time, they dont have fried corn but the chicken is worth losig the fritter

chicken (star of the meal) was good. You have to tell them when ordering livers or gizzards to not over cook because they will. Biggest complaint is scam on sides. like most places it better to skip and go home and do you own. it overpriced and too little and warm at best. Gravy when you increase you order quantity of chicken they charge you extra for gravy. When you get 8 piece chicken tenders compared to a 4 piece they don't increase amount of grave instead charge extra

Normally I'm very please with chicken express but their customer service as of late has declined. I was there today and had to use the drive thru because the dinning room was close I get to the speaker I hear the guy say order when ready I tell out three times never hear ask what can I do for you. So I go to the stall to try and get someone never get on the speaker it may be a while before I decide to go back

I have gave this location several chances before writing a review. To be honest what they charge for it I feel obligated to say something. One thing they are good at is being consistent. Every time I have visited the individual taking my order can barely speak English and has got it wrong every single time. I respect the effort but I'm ordering fried chicken not Mexican food. Management please make the ordering process less painful for your customers. Lastly, the food has been terrible all the chicken tastes like it has been sitting under the heat lamp way to long and the catfish was like rubber. I am a fan of Chicken Express but this location needs help. Something to think about.... In today's economy and the cost of everything nowadays. when a customer chooses your establishment to spend their hard earned money on, respect that and give them the service and quality you would expect if it was you spending your hard earned money.

The chicken tenders had more breading than anything, but barely any actual chicken. The drink was filled with 80% ice and barely any drink. They are purposefully skimping to cut costs while still charging high prices. Flavor was pretty decent. The lady at the drive thru was very nice.

Not sure who came up with the terrible idea to not use the drive through window, but it slows you down a lot. The staff is usually pretty nice. Had a girl who walked my food to my car ask for a tip a few times.

Normally a good experience, however this time I had a coupon for buy one combo get one combo. They worker tried to charge me regular price, then when I said I have a coupon, they took the food back in, removed half of the chicken strips from both combos and charged me for one. I didn't notice till I got home. The worker had an attitude and acted like the chicken came out of her salary. I won't be back to this location.

The catfish was a complete MISSS. The very thin piece of filet was fried so hard not crispy. The outer part would not even break it was fried so hard. Okra was refried. So tired of these places charging for bad food. They would not even answer the phone so I could tell them. Who has money to waste? $10 plus dollars down the drain.

Just went to this establishment and I am not happy with the service I received. I place my order quickly which I was happy about only to pay to see I was over charged. I was made to pull up and when my order was brought out I addressed me being over charged with Abil only for him to tell me he can’t give me a refund but instead offered me 3 chocolate chip cookies. I asked for an additional apple pie since I’d just purchased one and the overage that I was charged was equal to that of the apple pie at $1.99. He said he couldn’t give me another pie because there was a 2 minute wait on pies. I asked if mine was in the bag he said yes. My bag is loaded with boxes after spending $57 here… well guess what I got home and there’s no apple pie. Tried calling the store but no one answered. Doesn’t surprise me! Be cautious when ordering from this establishment. Shady workers, shady practices. One star! Stole my money and my pie. Spoiled coleslaw, lukewarm fries, corn nuggets, and chicken. Just close this place already!

The food was great that’s not the problem. So after I drunk all my lemonade I took my top off to eat the ice and black stuff was all in my cup like how did they miss this while making the drink. I had 4 drinks and 2 of them had a lot of black particles in it. I have pictures it’s disgusting. From not on I’m checking every drink before I even pull off I’m very disappointed.

The food is delicious. Employees should try a little harder at work. On several occasions. I have had to wait 5 to 10 minutes. to take my order. I have no problem If I had, you are very busy, but when you see that nothing else is stopped and they do not take the time to take your order ...I hope managers take their time To solve the problem.

Food delivery was trash today. Never had an issue before. I called the manager to inform that the cheese sticks taste like fish and food was cold. Of course, the manager tried to blame it on my food delivery app, but I don’t think he is aware that I can track exactly how long it took the driver to get to me from the store. Skin was falling off of tenders, cheese sticks dry and taste like old grease or fish, they sent no marinara or ANY sauce to go with tenders. “Manager” only wanted to argue. Didn’t care to apologize and just fix it(or at least say he was going to address it). I always try to talk to a manager prior to review, but I will not go back and forth with a young man to help them out.

Customers service was bad. The guy at the drive thru taking my order has no customer service skills. His tone was rude. Also my fried pickles didn't look right and were very salty. (Look overfried, burned) My family and I love chicken express but this one did not meet our expectations. I rather go to the one in copell. Not coming back here again... 2nd time with bad experience.

This establishment has never gotten an order right. Ever. I literally check my food in the window before pulling off because they never fail to disappoint me. I swear I don't ask for any specialties or substitutions. The employees are rude, I even had the pleasure of being served by the manager (collared shirt) he was not only rude to us, but he was also rude to his staff. I even heard him yelling at a couple of his staff because they got a drink. He wanted to know had they paid for them. There's filth everywhere. Just look at the soda dispenser. Dirt and lint is lined across it. You can visibly see it has been there for weeks. Today, I saw the drive-thru guy working the window, taking orders, opening chicken, and dropping it in the fryers without gloves or even bothering to wash his hands. This place is definitely a hostile and dirty environment. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. That place clearly needs an intervention. As I have visited there often....

Not sure what is going on with this chicken express but the prices are going up and the service is going down. Ordered a number 2 with mashed potatoes and cold slaw. Get home have 2 gravy’s and no mash potatoes. Last time same order and got no cold slaw. Last time went back up to get my cold slaw, this time just letting it go. Need to start going to chick fil a. At least they can get the order right and it’s cheaper.

We eat here many times a month, yesterday's meal was horrible. The mac and cheese was noodles with orange water, the chicken had not flavor and fish over done. I have not a had a bad meal and generally never waiver from our normal order. This time we decided to try the mac and cheese and fish. BOTH horrible. like I said, macaroni and orange water. Then you try to contact the store and you have no way of emailing them. the Sites dont work to even contact the corporate office. I think we will find a new place. never again am I am going to waste my time or money at a place you can not even contact. The last order they forgot the rolls.

The drive thru cashier was very rude this guy actually argued with me they charged for a drink I didn’t even ask for the lady came to the window like she was some special and she told me that she told me something she didn’t and she remembered from a time before but I’ve never seen her ever..unacceptable customer service I’m the general manager for Wendy’s that couldn’t fly with me.. smh that’s how you loose customers..

The guy that took pur order was very nice, but the same can not be said for the lady at the window. I think people at McDonald's are nicer than her. Not only did we have to deal her rudeness for no reason what so ever qe waited a good 3-5 minutes waiting for her to even come up to the window and take our payment. I will just be going to McDonald's next time. This was unacceptable.

Glad I checked. Handed me the complete wrong order through the drive through so I had to come in. Come to find out they messed up completely and gave me wings instead of hot wings. If you don't know ASK.

I ordered the 3 piece with a breast. Also ordered chicken tenders family meal. They packaged all of order except for the breast and said they are waiting for breast to cook. It took 25 minutes!!!! So all the food that was packaged was COLD!!!! The people that waited on me didn’t understand English! So very very disappointed in my food, which has always been wonderful in my past experiences with this restaurant. I will never come back here again! I used to be a happy customer but now I’m not.

I had requested to prepare my spicy chicken tenders to be cooked fresh. They ignore my request and lied. By the time I got home, it was very clear they were not cooked fresh and they had me to wait as if they were cooking them fresh. They have lost a Customer for good.

They need to fire the drive-through worker. No one can understand what he’s saying but he acts like it’s us. Plus, they can’t even process a payment! I’ll see why I don’t come here anymore. I looked through the drive-through window and the man who is dropping the chicken is eating while cooking.

Front window guy was very rude and didn’t want to take my order properly. Manager had to step in and fix my order. We I got to the window the guy took my card and walked around the restaurant. The card reader was right infront of the window…. He then didn’t want to give condiments to me or a fork for my Mac and cheese…. Unprofessional

Waited a LONG time at the drive-through window for my food. Requested honey for my roll. Made it all the way home before I found out they didn't even give me my ROLL!!! AND the honey I requested was not in my bag either. First ever horrible experience at this location. Probably will look for another location now. I usually go out of my way to go to this location (not close to my house) for the good service. VERY disappointed! ☹️

Drive thru experience was eh. When i got to the window, the kitchen is visible, absolutely abhorrent, i saw multiple food code violations. Open personal drinks and food in customer food prep and staging areas, trash everywhere food all over the floors, all the counters were dirty and had food and crumbs on them , piles of stuff on the floor, just nasty. i have food management certifications, so im not exaggerating. It was disgusting and the only reason i didn't drobe away is because the guy got to the window and i felt awkward doing that. I will NEVER return.

This is why I stopped coming to this establishment because they don’t properly prepare anything, fish be cold, fried burnt hard and cold, order be some what right. Get home just to see I asked for a roll and I got hush puppies. Do better.

LIVID!!! I waited so long to be able to eat and used my last on this meal! The chicken was 2 inches long, they tried to cover the thigh with a bunch of batter, but I could still tell it was really small. I am a female, look at the pieces on my hand! BEYOND RIDICULOUS!!! The tenders were raw l, pink, cold, and bleeding in some spots! TOTALLY DISGUSTING! And I still couldn’t get my full refund from Uber eats. So, I guess I’ll just freaking starve! You all need to send me something to fix this horrific experience! ASAP!

I went for a promotion on Groupon. I ordered liver and gizzards mixed. The lady who took my order in drive thru knows little English and got my order wrong. I ordered a regular sized but she rang me up for the large one. So the manager had we wait about 10 minutes for it all to be done. I got all the way home and realized my gizzards and livers were overcooked and had been fried in old grease. So I went back. There was a lady there who had ordered the same thing and was bringing hers back too. I put it together that they gave her the first order that I made, which meant she received the meat that had been sitting out after I left. So, I waited for my new batch of livers and gizzards. I just got home and low and behold it’s all overcooked, and super chewy!!! Don’t go here. The manager lady with the blue shirt was talking about me to the guy that’s always drunk in the red shirt. They need new management. Don’t waste your time or money.

Service is great, but the food needs to be fixed. Every time we order to-go the chicken is PINK and I thought fine, but this time it’s bleeding red. Can’t let that slide. Fix your chicken!
