Great place for a special occasion or nice date. We ordered from the prix fixe menu, which included our choice of appetizer, main dish and dessert. I ordered the cheese plate as my appetizer, the truffle souffle for my main, and the raspberry souffle for my dessert. The cheese plate had 4 wonderful cheeses and a number of tasty accompanying treats like figs and cornichon pickles. I would very much recommend it. The main souffle was kinda one note. The mushroom flavor was strong and I wish there was more cheese or some larger chunks of mushroom, perhaps some gravy, but that may be too british. I enjoyed this, but I will try another souffle when I return. On the other hand, my raspberry dessert souffle was delicious. Lightly flavored and sweetened on its own, the supplied raspberry sauce brought strong flavors to the pillowy souffle. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere here was outstanding. The decor was cute and welcoming in equal measure.
A unique experience that I enjoyed way more than I expected. We were celebrating a new job, so my partner and I got the set meals. My choices were the marshmallow soup, the jaubon and cheese, and the chocolate. My partner got a cheese plate, the truffle mushroom, and the raspberry. The marshmallow soup was as good as reviews described. A very good tomato bisque, and the marshmallows were true to texture while having a mild goat cheese flavor. The pesto touch was very good. Dip the bread they bring to the table in it for sure! My boyfriend also really liked the cheese plate. Note that the cheeses were blue cheese, Camembert, a goat cheese, and a truffle infused one. I’d say the main course was actually the low point for me, but it was still very good. Extremely fluffy meringue texture with egg taste. Partner and I agreed they were good but could’ve used some sort of sauce to add more notes. We both enjoyed our dessert soufflés more. Our waitress was kind enough to let me get chocolate, and it had the energy of a mug cake if you’ve ever made one. The chocolate sauce made it great. Boyfriend really loved his raspberry one, and described the sauce as melted ice cream. I tried a bit and would liken his to a muffin. The atmosphere was extremely cute and unique inside, with low light and character. Our waitress was attentive and offered great recommendations. It was overall a great place to have a slightly upscale meal or date, and I’m interested in returning. The artichoke appetizer in particular caught my eye. I will say that it is quite light—had we not both had two soufflés, an appetizer and bread, I think it’s possible we would’ve left hungry. Overall a great place to have in the area and I’ll be back!
Best date night around, no comparison. My fiancé is an adventurous eater and I am a bit more picky, we love that rise has options for both of us. I got the Mac n cheese soufflé and he got the specialty duck a l’orange soufflé. Amazing! We loved trying the French red flight. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the bananas foster soufflé. I also highly recommend getting the Oreo soufflé off the secret dessert menu. Our servers were great as well.
RISE – No. 1 Soufflé Place A charming and unique French dining experience. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and beautifully designed—very cozy and perfect for a relaxed meal. Every detail feels thoughtful and inviting. The soufflés are truly the highlight: light, flavorful, and beautifully presented, both savory and sweet. You can tell there is great care in the ingredients and preparation. The service is friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. RISE is a wonderful spot for a special occasion, a quiet lunch, or simply treating yourself to something different. A lovely little taste of France. Highly recommended.
Perfect place for a romantic dinner. From the ambiance, decor, immaculate service, there’s no flaw with this restaurant. We ordered from the prix fixe menu & got the following items: Marshmallow soul, French onion soup, Filet entree, ahi tuna entree, raspberry soufflé & bananas foster soufflé. The food was a step above, well rounded, and perfect sized portions. Ahi tuna was melt in your mouth and was amazing quality. French onion soup was probably the best I’ve had. I can’t wait to come back here and try more.
Went here for lunch on a Monday. The place is super super cute. We wish they offered us patio seating, especially for lunch! It was still super cute inside. Loved the escargot soufflé and their mushroom soup. The truffle mushroom soufflé was nothing to write home about. We felt the same about the chocolate soufflé dessert. Overall good service, cute place. Good value for money.
I love everything i ordered. I got the 3 predix courses. The french onion soup is just the right amount of salt. The banana foster is my most fav sweet souffle. I hope they will keep it in the menu cause it's the special of the day.
Loved this restaurant! My MIL found this online when visiting from out of state. The atmosphere was relaxing. Definitely felt like a European experience with the decor. Staff and servers were polite and attentive. Food was divine! I got the cauliflower parmesean souffle. Wow!! It was tasty and guilt free! Definitely recommend that and the Marshmallow Soup if you like goat cheese. This soup was delicious! For dessert we ordered the chocolate souffle and bread pudding souffle. Wow! Can't go wrong with either. Definitely a unique flavor for a souffle dish.
Their souffles are one of the best I have ever tasted and their service and ambience is very good. This is one of my go to spots. Consistently good and have celebrated many occasions with them. Thier truffle mushroom souffle, marshmallow soup and chocolate souffle one of my favorite and always recommend. I have always been to the Dallas location and this Plano location is just as good.
Rise never disappoints, the Plano location included. The menu is not changed from the Dallas location and the execution of the soufflés is on the same level, consistently. The decor captures the same sense of intimacy, heavily layered with francophilia; but does so with considerably more floor space. The staff is attentive, professional, and capable.
We had a wonderful lunch at Rise. Samantha was friendly and provided excellent services. For starters, I enjoyed the Marshmallow Soup. We ordered Crawfish soufflé, Escargot soufflé, and Parisian Jambon Sandwich. We definitely like the Crawfish soufflé the best. It is a lot more flavorful than Escargot. For the sweet soufflé, we ordered strawberry and pistachio. We shared both and fought over the strawberry soufflé. Pistachio was good, but strawberry was sweeter and a little tart. Love the place, and we will for be back!
We have been twice to Rise in Plano and both times it’s been amazing. We’ve had the marshmallow soup and the Soupe à l'oignon gratinée, both are perfection! Whether you opt for a savory selection like the Jambon & Gruyère or the Southwest Chicken, each soufflé arrives perfectly risen, with a delicate, airy texture and delicious. For dessert the Grand Marnier is a must try! The atmosphere and the service are great! Perfect date night!
Wow! This place is so charming! This was my first time having a soufflé. We ordered the rise Salad, Jamon and guyere, truffle mushroom, and sun dried tomatoe. For dessert we tried the strawberry, chocolate, pecan, and apple tart. The steak was also great. I will definitely be back. Conner (I think that was his name) was an amazing server.
Loved everything about this restaurant. The marshmallow soup to start with. It has goat cheese that looks like marshmallows. Its like a tomato based soup. Had the bubbly flight and that was delightful. The bread is also perfection. The southwest chicken souffle was delicious! The best thing was the chocolate lava cake but nothing like the crap at chili's. This was by far the best dessert I've ever had. Except for one fact-the quantity is not shareable lol. I wouldve ate the entirety by myself! It was so soft, so much warmchocolate oozing out and small dollop of vanilla ice cream. I am still dreaming of the dessert (pic included) The service was great. I wish the table had more space so we weren't constantly adjusting things on the table to fit our needs. We were given a small booth against the wall. Its a lovely restaurant. They also give a quote on the way out. Its sweet. The decor is lovely also. European, fun.

My boyfriend took me to Rise Soufflé for a sweet brunch and to share one of his favorite spots for French cuisine. It was such an intimate experience, and I truly appreciated it. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and beautiful, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Our waitress was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the menu, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We ordered the Marshmallow Soup, Crawfish and Truffle Infused Mushroom Soufflé, and Bread Pudding. Every bite I took was absolutely delicious, and I savored each one! As we left, we were given inspirational quotes, which was such a thoughtful and adorable touch that truly brightened my day. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I can't wait to return!

The food and ambiance were amazing, but what made it so special was my waitress, Lyna. It was my birthday, and I was having an okay day, but Lyna's hospitality and kindness completely turned that around. She made the whole experience so amazing, made my whole table of friends laugh, and brought such a warm energy! She was so patient, quick, and attentive! She was wonderful! What a lovely person!
My first visit celebrating my birthday with my cousin!! Our server Kylie was the best! She made exceptional suggestions for our dinner. We had the marshmallow soup, crab soufflé, sun dried tomato and pesto soufflé, and the praline soufflé. South a wonderful meal but what made the meal even more enjoyable was Kylie! She was helpful and attentive. Just a wonderful young lady.
Rise in Plano is one of my family’s favorite spots! We’ve been to other locations, but this one stands out — it’s spacious, welcoming, and has that cozy charm we love. Our server, Connor, was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. The soufflés were as amazing as always, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the desserts were simply divine. Highly recommend this location for a special meal or just a relaxing night out!
We miss the soufflés from another restaurant who stopped doing them so this was a great find! Fabulous savory soufflés, entrees and dessert soufflés… great space that used to be a TGIF they’ve made their own… very nice but not too big wine list… I enjoyed the bubbly flight and then ordered a glass from that…. The tuna and steak entree, the sausage soufflé, raspberry soufflé and key lime soufflé were all perfection! We all shared and liked them all… we’ll go again!
Incredible experience! Our first time trying soufflé. Very attentive and warm service. We tried the specials that were referred by the stewardess. I got avocado soufflé topped with shrimp ceviche & my wife got the crab soufflé. Amazing flavors!! Both of us liked avocado soufflé over crab one. We started off with the artichoke appetizer and marshmallow soup with sparkling & red wine flights and ended with Praline Pecan soufflé. I wished the sweet soufflé was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead of whip cream. Phenomenal taste! Each soufflé has distinctive flavor. Very chilled & cozy ambience with nice decor. I highly recommend the avocado soufflé & marshmallow soup!
We had a wonderful time at Rise Souffle last weekend. First and foremost I would love to give a shout out to our waitress, Kylie. She was adorable! Her knowledge about the menu items, along with her enthusiasm for guiding our choices, was so appreciated. Kylie really elevated our experience. The food was delicious, the cocktails did not disappoint, and the atmosphere was lovely.
How unique - we loved the place, did I say we loved this place! Country French and beautifully decorated. Food was fantastic and unique. Perfect for a date night or room for large groups. Service was personalized with attention to detail. I think you will enjoy the visit. There are so many selection it will keep you coming back. You need to try this place if not for the fresh bread alone, Mmmm
The special souffle is the Frito Pie in honor of the Texas State Fair! It was wonderful. For desert, I had the delicious Banana Fosters souffle.
I am a teacher, and as a treat, a wonderful mom wanted to take me and another teacher out to lunch at Rise Soufflé. I had never been before, so it was a real treat. I had the ham and cheese souffle (Jambon and Gruyere), and it was delicious! It melted in my mouth. It seems like it would be a hearty dish, but it is light and airy, so it isn't necessarily filling. They do have unlimited fresh French bread and butter on your table, which is nice, too. When I go back, I will try either the "Marshmallow" Soup (a tomato soup with cheese on top that looks like marshmallows) or Artichoke Andree, which looked delicious, before the main meal. For dessert, we ordered a chocolate souffle (which we were told you need to order with your main meal since it takes 25 min to bake!) that we all decided to share. While the chocolate syrup was yummy, the souffle mostly tasted like chocolate soaked in bread! But that was just me! There were other delicious desserts to try like Cream Brulee, which I will try next time! All in all, Rise Soufflé has a nice pleasant atmosphere with delicious food and wonderful staff.
Top Tier experience @ Rise, not only was the food a 10/10, the service and atmosphere are all spot on. The soufflé, both savory and sweet versions, amazing. The highlight of the night was definitely the Marshmallow Soup. Their selection of non-alcoholic drink did not disappoint. Overall I had a fantastic experience and I will for sure be back for more. Highly recommend, worth the elevated price.
Excellent extended lunch at rise in Plano. Our server Josh was knowledgeable, energetic , downright hospitable and informed of all the wonderful food choices, my party choose French onion soup and the rise salad for our first course. Now we all have had a bad French onion soup, but at rise it was exceptional, rich onion soup, nice crouton perfectly soaked covered with cheese, I really should of took a photo it was perfect. We had the avocado soufle and sausage and herb souffles both presented wonderful and sinfully delicious . We also tried a blueberry and the pistachio desert souffles, again decadent delicious full flavored and beautifully delivered to the table. Absolutely a wonderful taste journey plus from the moment I walked into rise in plano the decor is just very calming and inviting. My deepest thanks to Josh, Carlos and the rest of the staff for such a wonderful experience. Looking forward to returning soon for great cup of French pressed coffee and desert souflie at that charming bar of yours..... Well done and thank you again!
My mom and I enjoyed an early lunch at rise. We’ve been to the Dallas location so when one opened closer to home we had to stop in. I ordered the marshmallow soup and the soufflé special (something crab and chipotle. Can’t remember exactly but it was good!) and my mom ordered French onion soup and a ham sandwich (she said the salad that came with her sandwich was amazing.) We love the atmosphere of the restaurant and obviously the food too. We will definitely come back. As a side note: highly recommend taking your mom here for Mother’s Day!
I've been waiting with great anticipation for Rise Plano to open, and I was thrilled to have lunch there last week! My house is about the same distance from the original location and this new one, so I was hopeful this would be just as good as Dallas. It lived up to my high expectations! It's warm and cozy inside, like stepping into a Paris cafe, and the service (Javier!) was incredible. Thoughtful, attentive, with smart recommendations (like the praline soufflé for dessert—incredible!). The food and ambience were exactly what I had come to expect in many previous visits to the Lovers Lane location. I'll continue to visit Plano for a taste of France just up the road. In fact, on my next visit, I plan to sit at the sparkling bar with my husband. Can't wait to return!
From a former Dallas resident to a now Frisco resident- I cannot express how excited I was to see a new Rise location MUCH closer than that long drive south to Dallas. And might I dare say… I prefer this Rise over the original! The atmosphere is still very much similar to the original location in Dallas however interesting enough, even with the additional room to breathe, they’ve still captured that homey, warm, comforting vibe without the dark cavernous and cramped feel of Dallas. I love that there’s an enclosed patio that allows all the sunshine and goodness for patio lovers to dine in comfort. There’s a very secluded and seductive room toward the back called the “wax room” with one wall made entirely of bees wax, which would be perfect for intimate group get togethers and celebrations. Seating that allows for guests to watch the glorious and special technique of the dessert soufflés being prepped. Unlike Dallas… this location has much more seating available at the bar that allows a full view of the restaurant and all the guests dining. The food was absolutely on par, cheese platter with perfectly selected cheeses that were all lovely but I must say the goat cheese was the star of the show. Escargot main soufflé was delicious as always and the fresh loafs of bread were definitely a must to soak up all the garlicky and basil pesto goodness. For dessert, we normally stick to chocolate however that seasonal key lime was way too tempting to pass up and it was indeed every bit of the zesty goodness that we were hoping it would be. Our waiter Matthew was very attentive and super pleasant during our meal. He made sure our waters were filled the whole time, cleared plates to make room on the table, and was engaged in the menu making very thoughtful recommendations. Pete the GM was very involved with his staff, visiting tables, helping behind the bar, and making sure everything was running smoothly and seamlessly. Over all I would say now that we have a Rise up here… I’ll probably be asking my husband to take me much more frequently than we would down in Dallas and I definitely think this new location makes a perfect date night or place to celebrate a special occasion.
I loved frequenting the lovers locations when I lived closer to it and still love it when I’m ever in the area. I actually prefer to dine alone when I come here as it is my comfort and safe space for over 10 years. Happy to have Plano and soon to be southlake locations. My favorite is the marshmallow soup and crab soufflé. I do miss the dulce de leche ice cream but my diet probably is ok with that! Most recently I dined in Plano for my birthday and it was the perfect lowkey day.
Second time visiting this place. I ordered the GF version of their apple salad, salmon souffle and the flour less chocolate cake that was naturally GF. They were all melt in your mouth Delicious and sheer indulgence. I was sat in aplace where the natural light was just a tad too bright since they kept the ambience dim with beautiful fairy lights. It was supposed to make you feel like early evening. I think it was a timing thing on my part since it was early afternoon and the sun was out in full force. The staff was pleasant and very kind. Always checked in and yet left me to my reading since I brought a book with me. This place is perfect for a book club meeting, a party, a date or two for the lovers out there or even a solo diner like I was that day. Price was a little much but the meal and atmosphere made it worth it and left me thinking about the next visit there.
Was here for lunch by reservation. This place just opened beginning of April 2024. They have a very short menu for all day. We got today’s special for crab meat soufflé and Apricot soufflé. Also had filet and ahi tuna as main courses. They were all very tasty. Interior was very French country decorated. There were patio seats available. It’s a very busy place even for Monday lunch. Reservations are strongly recommended. It’s worth waiting for the soufflés!
I never thought I would enjoy this food but here we are with a 5 star review. I'm really glad my wife selected it. The souffle was delicious. The atmosphere was great. The seasonal pumpkin dessert souffle (not on the menu but recommended by our server) was my favorite. We will be back!
I have been waiting for this place to open since the end of last year. The waiting was well worth it, by mistake we drove by and noticed that they are open, they actually had the soft opening tonight. What a great luck! The food was amazing, a taste of Paris, very flavorful. The servers created the perfect ambiance. Can't wait to be back!
Such a great spot! Loved the decor and special touches throughout, especially the hand painted rocks/check holders and bag hangers. The crab souffle was delicious and the signature Marshmallow soup was fantastic! Will definitely be back.
We have been here twice and it’s simply amazing each time we have come. So good!!! The flavors are amazing and natural. Everything from the bread and butter to the desserts are so well made, served hot, and the pace is perfect for having all the courses! Not to mention the service is always just as awesome. Highly recommend!
Rise soufflé restaurant! Soufflé has a very delicate sophisticated flavor! We had the crab, jambom & Gruyère, and sun-dried tomato & pesto chèvre soufflés!!! Connor, the waiter, was very nice and helpful! Definitely coming back. Suggestion: light could be a little brighter for lunch and the French press needs a madeleine with it!!
Rise Soufflé never fails to impress! The food was absolutely incredible—every bite was bursting with flavor. The service was equally wonderful, with a team that made us feel welcome and well cared for. And the drinks? Perfectly crafted and the ideal complement to the meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!
They were super accommodating for my birthday dinner! We had a party of about 12 and they had a nice table for us in the back. For most of my friends, this was their first time having soufflé and they loved it! A big hit was the marshmallow soup! Note: It's a much better deal to share one bowl for the small upcharge rather than get 2 bowls.
Best service in the world. Kenna is awesome and is the best server I have ever had. The onion soup is so good. All desserts are out of this world.A must go.
Outstanding lunch today for my birthday and my father-in-law's. We had exceptional service and our soufflés were so yummy. I had one of the specials which was a crawfish soufflé, and the special dessert today was pistachio, which my daughter and I and enjoyed immensely! of course we had the marshmallow soup and a small cheeseboard, which did not disappoint!
Rise has a good, casual/upscale environment and friendly service. The soufflès were delicious, and the portions for both the savory and dessert soufflés were good. The escargot souffle was a great combination. I highly recommend the smoked salmon and the ham and cheese. The fresh bread and butter is a wonderful compliment. Consider a flight of wine, which is reasonably priced. Bon Appètit!
Super cute place with very delicious food! I just got back from Paris and Rise seemed like an authentic Parisian cafe. The service was a little slow, but that was authentically France as well. My group shared 2 savory and 2 sweet souffles, along with salad and soup. Will definitely be back!
I took my wife here for a special birthday dinner and we were not disappointed! Our server Jacob was incredible and took great care of us throughout the evening. We really enjoyed the Marshmallow Soup, French Onion Soup, Herb & Spicy Sausage souffle, and Smoked Salmon souffle and the dessert Apricot and Raspberry souffles were the perfect end to the evening! We'll definitely be coming back for our next special occasion!
I wanted to take my mom out for a nice lunch. We decided on Rise in Plano that had recently opened. From the minute you walk in the cozy ambiance and decor sets the mood…the restaurant is dimly lit, and you feel like you have just stepped into a small city cafe in France. The service is unobtrusive but they are always glancing and meeting your every need. The marshmallow soup is such a favorite and still just as savory and delicious as I remembered. We had the escargo and crab soufflés and each were unique and the flavors wow! They recommended the apple tart for dessert and we were so glad. It is the perfect balance of sweetness and the flaky pastry with the ice cream paired so well. We thought about French Press coffee (next time) but we instead decided to finish our sparkling wine that went so well with our meal. It was such a cozy atmosphere to share a lovely afternoon lunch with views of the lit branches around a seating area and views of the magic happening in the kitchen! The Executive General Manager even stopped by our table during our meal to say hello and check on us.
This place is a gem. The boss(wife) took me for a brunch. I was thinking "woop de doo", boy was I wrong. Drinks are pricy but very good. The marshmallow soup ain't what you think and is a must have. I will be returning to try some of the other dishes on the menu. Staff is very polite and helpful. Atmosphere is funky but very warm and welcoming.
I’ve been here few times. Their salad and soup are good for app. The chef’s fromage plate is fine (I didn’t like the hard bread that comes with it) the artichoke is okay the sauce that comes with it is a little bit too sour. I’m not really obsessed with their soufflés. The mushroom soufflé is the best though. My last visit was about a week ago and I tried the tuna steak and it was really good. I think I liked it better than soufflés… for desserts I think their crème brûlée is the best.
We had such a lovely dinner at Rise Plano. We’ve frequented the Dallas location for brunch, but this was our first time at this location and for dinner. It did not disappoint. Our server, Sofiia was a delight, exceptionally friendly and prompt. We cannot wait to come back!
Great experience. Service and atmosphere were on point. This birthday experience was amazing and the staff was very friendly. The different soufflé options were on point. The dessert options were fantastic. The Creme brûlée was very smooth and flavorful. I can’t wait for the seasonal menu to switch and come back for the duck.
Floating on a cloud of yum! 😋 Friends have told me to check out Rise, and tonight, I finally did. Worth the wait. When people know you've lived in France 🇫🇷 you get these sorts of recommendations. While it wasn't anything akin to what I knew from regular everyday French Bistro food, the French would be very proud of those soufflés. Those were definitely legit when it came to preparation and texture. A perfect 👌 rise, excuse the pun. The atmosphere was so nice. Dimly lit with warm and super friendly staff. We were fortunate to be waited upon by the darling and wonderful Sara-Elizabeth (aka Eliza). Hopefully, she gets a special kudo from her boss for this review. Well earned. She was attentive and gave fabulous menu suggestions, which we were super glad we followed. We started with the artichoke. Vegetarian oysters is how I always think of this dish 😆. Sauce was nice, and it was cooked well. We ordered the gruyère jambon and truffle mushroom 🍄 soufflés. Perfect texture and great flavor. Cooked to perfection. Light and puffy, not runny. We had the bubbles 🫧 🍾 flight, sparkling water, and of course, their amazing bread complete with guillotine for slicing. Dessert was Sara's favorite 😍. The pecan praline. It had a flavor reminiscent of Poppycock caramel corn (one of my favorite all-time snacks). On our way out, we were given a bit of inspiration from a bingo cage ball filled with delightful little quotes on quality card stock. Better than a mint and a very nice extra little touch. Our experience was great, and I look forward to one day trying more menu items with more friends and family.
We had a fantastic dining experience at Rise. The soufflés are truly amazing. I met three friends for lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Wonderful staff and atmosphere too. We’ll be back!
Oh how I've missed the souffles at Rise for the longest. I came back to Dallas for a visit and decided to meet up with friends for a late lunch. I was very surprised to see they opened the Plank location and thought this would be a nice treat. Rise never disappoints. I found out they recently opened in April and the place is extremely busy. We came on a Saturday at 2 pm and the dining area was at 80% capacity. Our server took a while to get to us, but once tables transitioned out, service was better. We ordered the Cauliflower & Brie, Jambon & Gruyere and the Truffle infused mushroom. Both the Jambon and Mushroom souffles were still consistently delicious as I remembered. They were aromatic, fluffy and very filling. The Cauliflower was a new option and one we are happy to have ordered. There was a nice flavor of cauliflower and brie melded together in each bite. You should always save room for dessert here. I typically order the chocolate souffle, but we tried something different instead. The raspberry souffle came with a side of sauce which was poured on by our waitress. Raspberry desserts can taste like real raspberries or Robitussin 😩. This was not the case. The raspberry souffle will be my all time favorite alongside their large portion of creme brulee. The interior mirrors their original location in Dallas. If I have the chance next time. I would choose to sit inside the dining area as opposed to the patio area. Although it was enclosed due to the heat, it was extremely warm and the seating arrangements were a bit smaller. Kudos to the extremely nice staff. They were very warm and welcoming.
Rise Soufflé has a new location in Plano and it’s got the same vibes as the OG in Dallas. The decor is really nice that’s specific to Rise and hard to explain. You know it when you see it. It makes everything feel intimate so if you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends or a fun place to go on a date without a high price tag this is it. The service is phenomenal and you’ll be treated as a special guest from beginning to end.
Great experience. Souffles are hard to make and if the staff asks if you want them to remake one....do it. They recognize if the souffle has fallen or was not done right....it happens. It is worth the wait if they redo it. All are really good. Their creme brulee (while not a souffle) is really good...I had the French onion soup and the jambon souffle. Both were excellent...we will be going back!
A vegetarian friendly French restaurant with great savoury soufflé options and soups! Truffle infused mushroom soufflé and sun dried tomato pesto soufflé were the highlight for us. Additionally the menu has a great seafood and soufflé of the day options as well. Overall the dim light ambience and light music makes it perfect for date nights.
Absolutely a wonderful experience! I was surprised with a birthday lunch here by a couple of friends. The atmosphere was exquisite and the staff was friendly. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful or cute to see. The restaurant even set up a little birthday decoration for me, it was so cute and made the visit even more special! I never had soufflé before so this was a complete first for me. I had the off menu Avocado and cheese soufflé, one friend had the marshmallow soup, and my other friend had the salmon rise salad. My soufflé was absolutely delicious!! My friends also loved their meals. I can't wait to go back and try the salad as my friend could not stop talking about the vinaigrette. For my birthday dessert we had the key lime pie soufflé and that was total chefs kiss!! Also I loved the gift shop! My friend gifted me a tea towel as a souvenir and birthday gift!!
It was my 84th birthday and I dined alone. Just wanted to try something I'd never tried before. I started with a tasty Aprel (sp?) Spritz drink. I liked the orangey flavor with Prosecco. Loved the Marshmallow Soup which had no marshmallows. It had great puffs of goat chesse and was quite flavorful. I enjoyed the Ham and cheese Souffle'. In retrospect, I should have added a salad to complement the eggs. I love spices and was hoping it would be a bit more flavorful. But what do I know....it was my first Souffle'. I wish I'd tried another dessert instead of the Pecan Praline souffle'. While it was tasty, I think I had just a bit too much egg. Next time I will try the bread pudding or Creme Brulee'. I gave the food 4 stars but that likely had more to do with the choices I made rather than the grading the taste. The service was great and it's kind of a girly place. I don't think the men I know would care for it. I will go again.
This is the second time I’ve been to rise in the last 12 months. Seems like a must visit during every trip to Dallas. I love the concept of savoury soufflés, and they don’t fail to deliver. Not a fan of any of the crab and fish soufflés, the mushroom one is the best and the bread and butter pudding soufflé is the winner in dessert. For coffee drinkers, the French press is worth ordering and for salad lovers the tuna salad is excellent.

Neat place with good service and good food. The ham and cheese soufflé was fantastic, though some of the others were very bland, including the crab one. Choose wisely. Got the blueberry soufflé for dessert and it was also delicious, though we all agreed the raspberry soufflé was only ok.
Reservations are recommended as this place is very popular! We had a lovely evening trying out new soufflés to us. The ham and cheese was our favorite! Very flavorful compared to the escargot soufflé, but it was also really good. So glad we stayed hungry enough for a dessert soufflé!!
We’ve always loved this restaurant in Dallas, both the food and the atmosphere, and were happy to discover that now they opened one in Plano. But in the Plano location, what immediately caught my eye was that the portions were much smaller than in Dallas. 🤔 If we were just unlucky on that day, then ok, happens. But if the portions in Plano are always smaller than in Dallas, at the same price, then it’s probably better to go to Dallas, although it is much further from us 😔
Rise took over the old TGI Fridays restaurant on Preston, just north of Park Blvd. Odd entrance facing noisy Preston (should've moved it to the side). Rise has a beautiful and lovely atmosphere. It's a tad dark & moody. Plates are unique and pretty. The truffle mushroom (vegetarian) and chocolate soufflé were yummy, and their complimentary, homemade bread loaf is delicious! However, their food is way overpriced, and portions are small. Service was mediocre (quit giving the bartender tables, where their customers can - and we did - get ignored, & just pay them more!). The manager gave us each a $20 gift card, which was nice. Overall, Rise is a great place for a romantic date or special occasion. We went for a birthday. It's just not a place I would frequent on a regular basis, though. Also, the gift shop had some beautiful items, but again, wayyyy overpriced. But why don't you sell the unique pottery-like plates? Now that's something I might buy!
Nice spot for a light brunch/lunch. I had the marshmallow soup, which had a rich and creamy base and the goat cheese marshmallows were very soft with a marshmallow like texture. I then had the job and gruyere souffle and it reminded of a warm grilled ham and cheese sandwich. The top part was crispy while the inside was soft and cheesy. For drinks we had the sparkling apple cider and the apricot iced tea. The sparkling apple cider is basically carbonated apple juice, but it's very good and I would order it again. The apricot iced tea had a light and sweet apricot taste to it. The atmosphere was that of a more casual French cafe, but it's still a place I would dress nice to. If you're not familiar with souffles just know that they are light and fluffy, so if you're a big eater you might still be hungry after this, but if you're like me you'll be stuffed and happy after.
The food was delicious. I love apricot soufflé. However I was very surprised that they don’t serve Kir Royale , a common french drink. We asked for French pressed coffee and even though a table next to us was served coffee we were denied (it was at the restaurant closed at 9pm). Therefore my experience was not perfect. Good but not exceptional. I think I may return there occasionally for sweet soufflé but not for full service.
We had a bit of a rough time at Rise Plano, the food was great, but we would have ordered differently if our server had told us about the specials! So, we missed out on the crab cake soufflé and eclipse soufflé which both sounded amazing! We didn’t realize there were off menu items - we heard the server at the table next to ours go over them after we had already received our dishes. As always the Escargot was outstanding. The Mac & Cheese soufflé was a new menu item since I had been to Rise (in Dallas)- it’s very cheesy but good! Jamon & Gruyère is always a solid bet for eaters new to soufflé. The truffle & mushroom option was good- not super truffle flavored, more mushroom (to me). I always love the artichoke starter- it’s delicious and was great at this location as well! The drinks took a long time to receive from the bar - was ordered 3 vodka sodas and when we got them finally, 2 were vodka sprites instead. We had to flag down a different attendant to ask for plates and cutlery because we had none WELL after our dessert soufflé was served. It sat on our table and we just stared at it and tried to look for our server for about 15 minutes before we asked the server at the table next to ours to help us, (she was very kind and got us what we needed quickly!). The hiccups are probably to be expected for a newly opened restaurant and new team of servers- I would still highly recommend Rise! And I’m certain their service will be outstanding in the future! The atmosphere was very similar to the Dallas location- it’s dark inside, but lovely with the lighted trees.
We had a French gastronomic adventure. The soufflés we ordered were delicious and were risen to perfection. We had the mushroom soufflé, the salmon soufflé and desert bread pudding soufflé. The complementary fresh baked French bread on a cutting board was perfection. Our waitress was great. She was very nice, attentive and detail oriented. The eclectic atmosphere had its charm.. It was dark and cavelike with candlelight type lighting and oddly assorted decorations. There is a patio too. I highly recommend a change from the ordinary restaurant once in a while, in order to discover culinary delights which make life interesting. Merci.
Soufflé in Plano offers a mixed dining experience. The staff was very nice and welcoming, which made the visit pleasant. The bread was delicious, as were the chicken and chocolate soufflés--they were definite highlights of the meal. However, the atmosphere was just OK, nothing particularly special. My biggest disappointment was the tuna Niçoise salad, which I really did not enjoy. While there were some high points, the overall experience was somewhat underwhelming for me, leading to a three-star rating.
I really like the environment of this restaurant, but the food and the service were short of my expectations. I was a part of a group of eight people. Everybody ordered third drinks and what they wanted to order. However, before even the drinks came out, everybody’s first course was already served and it took a while for the first course to come out. I had the artichoke Andree And it was cold. It would’ve tasted much better if the dish was hot or at least warm. Then I had the escargot soufflé and it wasn’t as flavorful as I thought it was going to be. Essentially the soufflé that top to the escargot didn’t add very much flavor to the escargot itself. It was pretty bland. Some of the people sitting at the table actually didn’t even receive their entrée at the same time everyone else did. They were waiting pretty long. As everybody finished their entrées, we were waiting for dessert, which took about 30 minutes to come out. I was expecting better service at such a restaurant like this.

The service and atmosphere is great at this location though I felt the staff was not as informed as the location in Dallas. Also the food was not as good at the one in Dallas which is unfortunate because I had hyped up the place to my friend after visiting the Dallas location and we were both underwhelmed. The location is also pretty nice and convenient which is why I was excited to try it out. Overall it was okay, but something is off.
I planned with the restaurant for months for an important family lunch celebration. Upon arrival with my guests, I was told we were now set up differently than our plans because they'd sat two tables for lunch in the space we'd been promised; which is the beautifully lit, elegant, seperate section. We were moved to the patio; which, while lovely, is not the "special" ambiance I'd been planning. This was extremely disappointing. The food took extraordinarily long to arrive. The salad is described having nuts and apples of which it had none. It was lettuce and dressing. The souffle's and appetizers were delicious and perfect. The servers were kind and helpful. While the event manager gave a gift card to apologize, my family and I will rethink coming back to this Plano location.
Recommended only for soufflé lovers Not for everyone, sorry Food preparation took long time, some items were missed , non soufflé dish were overcooked The escargot soufflé was delicious Rest were just ok Wine and cocktail selection was good Service was friendly but kitchen failed to deliver
Glitzy, exciting place on first arriving. Lots of energy for a pricey place. However, the acoustics were terrible in that everyone had to talk loudly over the crowd to be heard by their tablemates. It was a full room. Well-appointed, beautiful soufles. Every entre was about $20-$25. I have lots of egg whites at home and my pocketbook is limited, so I opted for the Brie and cornichon (tiny French dill pickles) baguette sandwich with salad. I do love Brie! The sandwich was so underwhelming at a whopping $18, I believe. The small, cut in half baguette was dry (well, baguettes usually are. LOL!), Brie was cut thickly (thank you!), 3 tiny pickles on each half. Absolutely chokey, so I removed top portions of baguette so as to have less dryness. For a special place and price, I believe Chef Ramsey would expect something special. Ideas: Butter and toast lightly the baguette, melty Brie is delightful! Try this. My salad was finely chopped romaine, I believe, with slivered zucchini on top. It looked like cheese, so I was disappointed. It was well dressed, and I ate half of it along with half my sandwich (all of the Brie and pickles. My 2 friends had cheese and ham souffles, which were delightful and quickly demolished. We split a dessert raspberry souffle. Delish. Of course, not much to it. Wine selections were there, but we only glanced. Service was good. Lots of staff. I'm into food and conversation. Neither was satisfying to me. I was hungry when I left and ears ringing. Maybe in the evening, it's quieter.
